And do note that the core count is cut down on the 470D vs the 470 - 1792 vs 2048. I did some serious number crunching on RX470 vs RX480, and the 2 speed grades yesterday based on published hashrates - and *right now* the slower RX470s come out ahead on hash/$ especially on the lower cost models - even at the system level. It's pretty close though, and the hash/w figures are all tightly clumped. I just with there were more options on blower-type cards, though the Sapphire RX470 at $179 (on the actual NewEgg site vs the eBay listing at $159 but a bit higher shippping) are petty close to the cheap PowerColor stuff that I won't even consider buying (I've had nothing but ISSUES out of the very few PowerColor cards I've owned, they're right down at the bottom with HIS non-blower cards on my list, while Sapphire is one of my "go to" brands and has been for a VERY long time). BTW - I was able to get a gift card "refund" on my existing order for 2 of those Sapphire cards based on that eBay listing - I'm glad philipma1957 posted it! 8-) That put my actual out of pocket right about the SAME as the cheapest Powercolor card. 8-) What problems did you have with Powercolor? I bought one (a RX480 that was cheaper than any RX470)and now mining with it and it seems fine for now. It only have a 6 pins power, finger crossed that it will be fine. |

@EveryoneWe will be rolling the testnet back after the radio show is done and running a final test with everyone here. Then implementing new features into the current Espers chain. ESP1 will be finally let down to rest at the end of this week as well, all official nodes will shutdown. More news tomorrow  Very disappointed Of what? delay in news or that ESP1 shutdown ?? |

I am trying to use this to blow out the hot air in my warehouse. I have tried many different positions but the temps seems unchanged I may doing this wrong way or wrong placement Anybody has seen this in action?  VERY INTERESTING! I bought one of these to try it, it was a lot cheaper, but to my surprise, it have only a 6pins power not 8 pins like sapphire nitros. So my question is, is this safe to mine with it, or it is prone to burn (like reference one when they launched)??

In a week or so we are starting the preparation process for hot summer, more photos to come ..
looks great, but why would you not use an ATX mobo that can handle 6-7 cards? your mine would be using ~40 fewer motherboards, 40 fewer CPUs, ~320GB less ram, and 40 fewer SSDs. Thats like $5000-6000 savings, and less time spent tuning 1 rig at a time I'm aware of that and unfortunately that was not my decision, when this order is finished we will switch to 6 mobo rigs..  OMG seems like a full time job just to supervise that everything work. |

Should not result in any improvement, A 390 is just a 290 bundled with 8GB of RAM.
Do 390 mine ZEC near 300 sols/s? Because the max I have with 290 right now is 245 sols/s. |

So what is the better in my case:
Try win10 (must purchase it)
Or win 8 (I already have a DVD but never tried mining with it)
Or is there some story where it could work in Win7?

you can still get windows 10 free i read some place legally looking for more info on zcash bios modding which i found zero on or found something, some on the zcash forums are working on it but with no real stable miner there afraid to try to much . win 7 will run it better but unless you can get a fully updated copy and install that way it can take while to update but it should run it better then 8 or 10 , has non of the BS add ware 8 stared getting and very little runs at start up compared to 8 and higher . it a real os system. I am aware that win 7 is best, but need another option if it can't do 6GPU |

Here is my expereince with ZEC mining for now:
I have it running on 2 rigs for now:
RIG 1: 1X 290 + 2X 370 2GB + 1X 380 2GB WIN7
With genoil 0.6 and mining now at nanopool it been doing average 70 sols/s and stable for 24hr now. (No slow down in hash speed)
RIG 2: 5X RX470 4GB WIN7
Tried everything from 0.4.1 to 0.6, various settings... seems to hash quite well (125-130 sols/s), is stable, but I will get some GPU doing 0sol/s after some time. Tried some restart bat file but nothing works great for some, always need some babysitting.
