Mac wallet sync'd but stakes are not active. Wallet has been open for more than 20 hrs. Have 4100 confirmation.
Hope to get it solved soon.
P.S - buy more SYNC now, will rise soon after staking issue is solved. I am all out of BtC so can't buy more:-(

I try to come up with comprehensive steps for noobs Download latest Windows flavoured wallet from here: https://mega.co.nz/#!E5cjGQBa!C9PV10d7AUBgk1hWoaq3nenRRL24gV8TRk1pk9q15CI Click Start > Run > %appdata%\sync Delete everything except wallet.dat (and sync.conf if you already have that saved there) copy wallet.dat to multiple safe locations as a backup (Wallet.dat holds your coins, you don't want to lose this) Create a file called Sync.conf (note to windows noobs trying to create a new notepad file, in the explorer window drop down the tool menu, goto Folder Options, goto View Tab, Uncheck "Hide extensions for known file types" - this is to make sure you don't create a sync.conf.txt file. You want Sync.conf) Copy and paste below into sync.conf and save (I suggest to change user and pass to something else) server=1 listen=1 rpcuser=user rpcpassword=pass rpcport=24240 addnode=107.170.124.180 addnode=162.243.214.192 addnode=192.241.240.216 addnode=107.170.159.98 addnode=23.226.225.224 Open up TCP port 24240 on your firewall and/or modem/router if you know how and want to be a node (I'm not going to teach you this one) download the Bootstrap given by CodyF86 from http://d-h.st/j8FExract the contents into %appdata%\sync rename the file bootstrap.dat to blk001.dat if you have problems, otherwise keep it as it is. Launch the wallet unlock your wallet if you want to stake (or not) wait for it to sync any extra blocks since block 8266 If it gets stuck, close the wallet, wait 2 minutes then relaunch. Repeat few times if needed. You can skip downloading the bootstrap and sync from scratch if you wish. If you have problems syncing from scratch getting stuck after block 8200, try introducing sync.conf only after you reach block 8200. Let me know if this is incorrect. Someone is still selling and value is going to 0.... Blockexplorer is moving very slow, and there are not reactions from some professional developers, how can be blockexplorer quickly. or why is slow now.. Have you ever seen hell ? Hell? You cant get stake and that is hell? Wow are YOU in for a surprise when you get there! Latest wallet, closed and reopened a couple times. Synced up to the latest block (8269). Only problem here is the not staking coin maturity thing, but I'll wait a while and see. are you on MAC wallet? Can some with MAC wallet, confirm he/she is getting stakes on this wallet with less than 1 SYNC on the wallet? |

Maximum 30 days (technically) from when the coins entered your wallet...but 15 days max (based on luck averaging out) is probably closer to how long it would actually take...at maximum.
Well no, that is for getting the stake rewards. Only after I get the green sign below on my wallet, then my coins are staking and I can receive the payout in max of 30 days. borrowed from previous post:  this image also shows that it's stuck on block 8234. I just begin to think, that the blockchain is forked and ppl are splitted. I have no other explanation, and I never experienced something like this with over 30 coins. we'll know for sure when someone loses his coins in a transaction ^^ This picture was taken from 15 pages back and when the block was at 8234, so I don't think it is forked. But still I am not sure why coins are not mature as I have more than 4100 confirmations. I am new to POS and I am not sure what defines 'maturity', I think it is based on the number of confirmations. |

okay, so got the latest MAC wallet.... Added the Sync.conf file and the wallets syncs and is at block 8267.
Problem is that it does not sync, as 'my coins are not mature', but some of my coins/transaction have 4100+ confirmation. What gives?
The current block is 8267, so you are up to date...it can take up to 30 days for coins to stake even though they can stake at any point during that 30 days. There is some luck involved with staking, but they will no matter what after 30 days max. p.s. If your wallet is encrypted, which is a good idea, you must leave it unlocked and running until the coins stake...you cannot stake coins on a locked wallet. Well I think that is not the issue. The wallet is unlocked and I don't expect to received SYNC right away, as I know it can takes upto 30 days. Now what I get is 'Not staking as coins are not mature', meaning: I would not stake even after 30 days are done. addnode=23.226.225.224 then all I can suggest is that you give it time... i remember when the ill-fated SHAcoin was launched - I was in the same boat as you... my coins didn't stake at all, it seemed like I was the very last wallet to have stake... but it did get there eventually (in fact it's still staking lol - little good that'll do me as it was a hidden premine scam and is now a dead coin) Sync is safe, reliable and secure, it is also a great coin with a great community - i'd recommend though, if you are not in it for the long term, please distribute your coins across all exchanges, rather than sell them all in one go to one person I have installed the MAC wallet for the 5th time today... the wallet Syncs but not staking cause of maturity. By giving it time, how much time do you mean? thanks again I am burned out today cause of all the installs... need to take a break now... will keep the wallet open and come back later. |

you don't have to.. you can build it yourself here is the script.. get QT get libs point them as below ./build.sh then make -j 8 and you dont have to wait for anyone.. i had the exact same shit, with my old toxic, i was not able to find a solution, i sold them for vapor-x-tri-x i think that problem occur because i OCed the vram too much, 1800+ it's a coil whine, there are little coils near the vram, normally those coil are sorrounded with something that prevent the buzz sound to escape from them, but perhaps the temp too high of the vram , have damaged them or something  Thanks for the reply. I have a Asrock H81 Pro BTC ATX Motherboard. Do you think that makes any difference?  |

FYI, I am using the second updated mac wallet (not the latest one) and my wallet is in sync with 6 connections. No staking though.
