The game is still 2-1 in the favour of Tottenham Hotspur. Although this friendly matches aren't taken seriously it's just to check the fitness level of players and for the coaches to experiment their formation.

We saw that as arsenal won Manchester city although that's the community shield, it is still not a game to determine if City are less than arsenal, we have seen countless times arsenal has won the community shield but did not do well in the season.

525  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How I end up being into crypto and my journey up and low on: July 23, 2023, 09:43:03 PM
From your story I think that you rush to grab mining, Trading, Airdrops and IDO opportunities but this isn't what should be happened. But almost every beginners face this problem. But you are lucky that you never fall in a crucial situation but learned from your mistakes. When you have much knowledge about what you are going to do and the pros or cons then you should make your decisions.
Well this is not a beginners mistakes alone there are still many old and experienced members who constantly still make this sort of mistakes, and this mistakes just have to do with greed, yes crypto-currency is profitable but the idea many have is that anything they do here must give them profits and this is where the mistakes comes in.

You can have all the knowledge of trading stock but trading crypto would be a completely different aspect, losing money is easy here this is the bitter truth, I always understand this that why I don't do random investment or trading the idea of having multiple streams of income is great but not thinking about the fact that you can lose what you have also is foolishness. Investment is a risk and not foolishness always take calculated risks.
526  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: July 23, 2023, 08:48:32 PM
It is definitely going to be a tough season for everyone and that includes Chelsea and Liverpool, although both teams has actually had a good transfer market and the market hasn't ended yet meaning that they can still get more players into their team.

I am still looking at Manchester city, arsenal and Manchester united this would be the teams to actually drag for the English premier league and I am still going for Manchester city to lift the league but it would be heavily contested.
527  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Michael Saylor a modern apostle like Peter and Paul? on: July 23, 2023, 07:41:21 PM
Now I think this is going crazy, Bitcoin has now been compared with everything and anything, now the spread of Christianity is compared with Bitcoin really funny.

I think there have been many that have said that Bitcoin would develop and become generally accepted and just because they aren't popular should not make Micheal saylor special. Infact Many of us are here because we believe that Bitcoin has a strong place in the financial system in the future, that should not mean we are a figure from the bible. Let's stop all this weird comparison.
528  Economy / Economics / Re: Russian ruble is scam on: July 23, 2023, 06:51:41 PM
Over the past 123 years, the Russian ruble has defaulted three times. What is the probability of a fourth default?
Ruble is the currency for the nation Russia and as far as I am concerned a currency is under the control of the government, so expect you can be more elaborate I don't see how what you have said make any sense.

And there is no need to take short at the Russian ruble because at the moment so many other currencies has had their bad days, I don't expect much from currencies been owned by any government, because it may be good now and ones the wrong administration takes over it can go soar, that's still amongst the reasons why crypto-currency is ahead of Fiat.
529  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: OUT OF SCHOOL CHILDREN, A THREAT NOT GETTING MUCH ATTENTION on: July 23, 2023, 06:45:38 PM
Indeed, this word is eating deep into our youths and the reality of our country is substantiating their claim. I did a random sampling in Port Harcourt few weeks ago, I was shocked to see the number of young boys including girls who willingly stopped going to school and decided to focus on learning how to "press", socialize and blend. The thing be say, depending on your approach, they are not hiding it... they willingly give you the info with pride. This G-boys something and runs now make education look like a long distance quest.

In a case of someone dropping out of school due to no finance or no assess to a good school then I would be concern and would support this movement, but a case of a student who decided to drop out of school because they have other interests then I think their decision and what ever outcome they get from that it's entirely theirs.

We all know that the government has failed up but this statement won't stand in anyone's favor when they are being arranged for any crime, I think the society and social media has glorified the wrong things infact the is becoming the high cause of drop out than finances, because there are now so much free or low fees schools but the search to attain that status that has been so glorified has caused many to chase the wrong things
530  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin foundation on: July 23, 2023, 06:36:14 PM

Well, first of all, I didn't say that the free supply of Bitcoin would be zero. Let's assume the free supply will be one Bitcoin. Alternatively, the price of Bitcoin will be determined in the derivatives market. For instance, just like oil; it's not physically traded in barrels in the order book.
You want a controlled market maybe be create a token and then practice this your strategy there, Bitcoin has gone to far to be controlled and not to waste time on any debate your strategy would never be possible to implement in Bitcoin and not just Bitcoin it would not also be possible on some altcoins already. Let the market be a natural market.
531  Economy / Economics / Re: The whales stirred. What should we expect? on: July 23, 2023, 06:00:35 PM
Since OP doesn't include any link on the main post, I try to search on google about the recent crypto whale wallet movement, and all I can find is this article. Based on that article there the crypto whale(s) was releaseing ETH and LTC, the amount is more than 100M so it is huge amount. It should be impactful, but I don't think it will end the crypto or bitcoin era.
We are not considering the fact that this whales if they wanted to actually sell off they would have done that when the last all time high was reached or they would have waited to the next all time high, we can not be sure the total amount of crypto-currency a whale has and 100, million is definitely a big sum of money but still a whale can have more than that, if they choose to withdraw that amount doesn't mean they can't reenter again.

Bitcoin and crypto-currency has gone beyond going out of existence because of hundreds of millions was withdrawn, also let's not forget the whales game to create panic that the market is going down just to drop the price and then panic sellers sells of just to come back again to buy when the price goes up. It's a strategy that has been used regularly to control the market.
532  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: My Appeal to the Average Joe and Jane Bitcoin Investors: Buy Bitcoin Now! on: July 23, 2023, 05:48:35 PM
And if the average bob or Jane buys and then the market starts to drop and we enter a serious bear market I am guessing you should be held responsible right? You don't just desperately tell people to buy things like that especially when there a so many parts to the commodity you want them to buy.

How do you expect an average bob to survive the crypto-currency space after buying without guardians, they are chances they would get scammed or possibly misplace their seed phrase, save their Bitcoin on exchange are fall victims of so many vices.
533  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: SCAM or not ? on: July 23, 2023, 05:33:09 PM
The big mistake here is that you let your greed get the best of you, it's rare to get a recommendation about an investment opportunities on the Internet that did not turn out to be a scam.

Joining an exchange should not be something you just jump into especially if it's a centralized exchange, you are not only at the risk of getting scammed I believe if you were demanded to give out documents then you can also fall victim of identity theft.
534  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: SCAM or not ? on: July 22, 2023, 09:15:43 PM
That's an aggressive scammer all they aim is to scam the individuals and you can find that also YouTube and other social media platform, sorry if you ever had money in that exchange,

First how did you get the platform, there are some determine factors I use to check out a real profile.
There are many skills that these men of the underworld surface.
535  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: July 22, 2023, 08:48:30 PM
Onana was amongst my favorite goal keeper for last season, he played a very important role for inter Milan especially in the UEFA champions league I have always had the feeling that he would be leaving inter Milan but I actually did not believe that it was going to be Manchester united.

The issues is that onana has to be in consistent form. Replacing De Gea is not an easy shoe to feel to o think onana has to watch his game carefully.
536  Economy / Economics / Re: Food security in the world has been shaken by Russia's actions on: July 22, 2023, 07:53:34 PM
The affects of the war would be far more than the reason at which there was a war in the first place, Russia is not only an agricultural power house they are amongst the OPEC nation and I believe they have the highest petroleum resources in the whole of Europe, which is actually a big deal because the supply vast majority of European countries with it.

The war can only bring enemies, and with the even such as Russia backing out of the grain deal they can still cut off more ties with other countries leaving individual in serious chaos.
537  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: The amount of advert on websites, apps, and videos is too much. on: July 22, 2023, 07:28:06 PM
Well you should know that website owners actually pay good money to see that they website has a domain and there are other this that still would be needed to keep the website running, all this cost money and not to talk of the fact that many website were started with the aim of making money, this is just the honest truth.

We can consume a service and complain about the things that are used to finance the service we are consuming, the more interesting the website the more you get ads on that we can also see this same strategy on other social media like YouTube.
538  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Spreading bitcoin awareness; Your personal security matters first on: July 22, 2023, 06:57:04 PM
Although I am not a fan of those that just comes to the forum and tell us tales some goes ahead to post pictures of a class room with the image of children clearly shown. It's actually wrong because most times the consent of those in the images wasn't seek, it's always right to do the right thing.

Also I don't agree with you that anyone genuinely spreading the word Bitcoin and Crypto-currency doesn't care about their own security. They are not stupid and have had good knowledge of Bitcoin to a certain extent and if a Bitcoin knows he should protect his wallet definitely would have the basic knowledge of protecting themselves too.
539  Economy / Economics / Re: Do you think selling your property is better than taking loan? on: July 22, 2023, 06:17:53 PM
I don't think selling your property is better than taking a lone. Your property is your asset, this is what you have acquired for yourself, the value of that especially on good properties would always rise.

Also on the other hand most billionaires never sell their property no matter how important the project they have at hand is, they don't even use their own money most of the time, the always prefer taking a loan, it could be from the bank or companies, this has been their financial idea that has always worked for them.
540  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin competition. on: July 22, 2023, 04:36:01 PM
I don't share your opinion, a world where you take away opinions from people is never a nice option, I would start with the fact that it's called crypto-currency and not Bitcoin, crypto-currency is a digital asset that still comprises of other coins that includes Bitcoin and altcoins.

Obviously Bitcoin is more popular than any other altcoins but still there are people who have made good profits from altcoins and have actually made use of it and also there are those who have lost from it, still I believe it's best people have the option to choice which crypto-currency they are interested in.
