I always say this countless times that it's easier to for a gambler to stop when winning than when he is actually on a losing spree and any gambler who has the patience and ability to find the pause button when the loses are coming then that person have truly worked on him or herself because not many gamblers know how to control that burning urge to continue chasing after those loses till you become wrecked.
You've got a point, but I stand on the contrary POV.
I feel it's a lot more difficult to stop when you're on a winning streak, because it's not everyday you find yourself in that lane, so when you eventually do, you wouldn't have the urge to stop, because you'll eventually see that day as your lucky day.
Orpichukwu,  I stand with you on your stance because it's true it's not everyday we experience winnings and for that when it eventually sets in almost every gambler in that disposition will want to maximize the winning opportunities as they keep recurring. As gambler's we all gamble in the hopes to win our bets, why then will the wins arrive and that's when I quit and leave the tables. It's easier to quit will in losing streaks than when winning keep coming, and not in the other way round as  Su-asa had pictured it.

It's good to have read the contradictory responses above, and no one is sure of which is quite true or false. Although, the inputs are all great. I think while winning in gambling is tempting, losing is also similar to what a gambler feels while winning. When chasing after more wins. The player who keeps gambling on a losing streak is not chasing after the losses, but a win or more. So when the wins show he wouldn't stop immediately, because s/he has waited for it for quite a while. He'd think it's his time to win and reap more wins.

Those streaks don't last for a while before it cuts again, and the race continues. Whenever a gambler stop is fine, whether during a winning or a losing streak. Because both works together to keep the playing rolling. Arguments as this also occur while gambling, within the gambler, whether to stop and go with the funds or increase the amount for more profits. Stopping the session means returning later to wager the money back to the house. Continuing could mean losing out the funds immediately. Like I said, it's only a transient winning streak.
522  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Don't make your bets when you're tired on: April 14, 2024, 09:26:33 PM
A good night sleep will actually do a whole lot in helping you relax the mind and have a better taught on what you can possibly do to be able to win your game and even other activities you Carry out for the day, if you get maximum rest your productivity there after is heightened and so you can be very sure to achieve a whole lot within a short period of time and thats why you wake up to finishing that game within a very short period of time as compared to that which you would have achieved all the time you were literally just trying with a disturbed and bordered mind.

You can aswell apply this technique to other works of life such that at NY point you just don't feel like it, you can just decided to take a rest after which you can get to work and get on very productive enough and get as much as you can achieve that will make up for the time you rested.

Taking a few hours of rest helps in relaxing the brain and providing the gambler with better choices. Gambling after a hefty day can be weary, and the player wouldn't enjoy his session. It's mainly a period of double stress, losing money and time. After work one should sleep, then if he's in need to gamble, the first 2 hours of a new day is enough, before doing anything else. I'll always suggest that a pretty occupied gambler should utilize the weekend, during his free time. And make a proper use of it. Insisting on gambling during the few moments meant for rest can be a sign of problem gambling. One can't be working on something he doesn't enjoy doing. Gambling requires money, and most of the things we spend money on are mainly for fun or pleasure.

A bordered mind unleashes unclear decisions, and gambling needs a settled mind for a gambler to make smart decisions. If not all his choices will end up being wrong. He could wager what he's not sure of it, because of his sleepy mood, just like the Op. The mistakes aren't worth the risk. Sleeping at a time like this is the right option for any gambler. It'll grant him a nice decision, and the right amount to wager. His actions will be known to him. However, some behaviors may have been addictive to some players, such that, they can't get over behaving like that, despite any circumstances. But gambling while feeling sleepy is like gambling, drunk.
523  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Have you consider yourself, the family and gambling? on: April 14, 2024, 09:09:07 PM
when we decide to get married, have a family and maybe some already have children. then what is our hobby, our pleasure and our favorite, then that should no longer be our main priority. because we not only have to be responsible for ourselves, but we also have to be responsible for them, our children, and our wives. A child whose life is still dependent on his parents for the time being, and when, for example, we as fathers, the backbone of the family, experience serious problems due to gambling, then it is not ourselves who are the victims, but also those, who are wives and children, who will also be affected.

We all know very well that gambling has quite dangerous risks and negative impacts, because anyone can become addicted, and even those who are old enough can become addicted to gambling, especially those who are underage, maybe they are a little more susceptible to becoming addicted. Therefore, it is quite important for us to always monitor and ensure that our children's growth and development can go well, and that irresponsible gambling activities do not become a factor that disrupts children's growth and development and damages their future.
what you said is true, as the head of the family who has responsibility for his wife's children of course must be highly prioritized however it is a bad impact if we make mistakes in gambling, but honestly this depends on how you manage yourself and depends on your situation too, if gambling does not interfere with the economy and your time with family I don't think it will be a problem, as long as you manage it properly and don't like to exceed your limits in gambling, so you can continue your hobby in gambling but yes of course we gradually have to reduce gambling time from what we usually are in the casino because after marriage has a family that needs your time.

The risk of bad in an unprepared state is real, gambling can do that, so yes as much as possible you need to minimize gambling in front of your child or if possible not in front of him, including also protecting our child's environment because nowadays the environment will easily influence our children to enter a world that is not yet their time to enter such as gambling.

Gambling is dangerous, as a father, but that's not a reason to quit. What matters is the cautiousness of the player, he shouldn't get too attached to the game. Having a family is a better advantage to him, and a means of being focused on grooming his home and having less time to gamble. Some gamblers who were too attached to gambling should see it as a time detach. As more responsibility is now on board. Hence, looking out for the children and spouse is the duty now. Gambling profusely at this time is quite wrong. Unfortunately, some players carry the habit over to their homes and tend to destroy the happiness in the house. However, not everyone can control those impulses to reduce their gambling habit as a married player.

In a situation like this, the player should open up to his spouse, for help. Mainly I see marriage as an advantage to the player. However, not all players tend to utilize this opportunity. Being single as a gambler seems riskier to me, in terms of addiction. Unlike a married person who has people around him to take care of him. Things change along the line in the life of every gambler. Good or bad. Considering our home is crucial as gamblers because they matter much more than the casino. Those funds should be used for the kid's upbringing. Spare cash can be thrown into gambling.
524  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling by financial dependents. on: April 14, 2024, 08:38:10 PM
We have the influence that we need and letting our guards down will not favour anyone of us. We have children, we should give them the best care and treatment and not treat them as if they're mature, when we talk about mature it simply means showing them the basic necessities of life and struggle. Never raise up a child in such an unconducive environment where gambling is daily routine. We know how fast and adaptable children can be, they learn with the slightest chance they're seen.
Even a healthy environment can sometimes trigger unhealthy treatment if someone starts it first, especially in a bad environment, of course children will follow what is happening around them, they can easily understand and learn what kind of environment they are experiencing, it is not impossible when they As we grow older, the treatment will get worse, caused by unhealthy environmental factors. As a parent, I definitely want the best for my children's lives in the future and want their future to be bright.

If we live in an environment that is not conducive, it will make it difficult for us to care for and look after our children in order to avoid things like that. Apart from that, we also need to monitor what they do within their circle of friends in that environment so that our children don't suffer. do things that are detrimental to their parents. Later there will be lots of news stories on television. Their children gamble and accidentally spend money at their parents' ATM. Who knows how, usually children have a very high curiosity.

Children are meant to be exempted from this gambling thing for a while. But some parents overlook things like this, there are ways where things should be done the right way, without harming anybody in the future. Kids learn every single thing that's been passed down to them, by their parents. Hence, when a parent cares about the environment where the kids are growing and understands it could be detrimental to the child's future. It's important to open up to the child about the basic guides towards managing their wealth when he begins to earn it.

Because some neighborhoods are filled with gamblers, such that any child who emerges from that environment will know or hear about gambling. However, not all kids from such environments will grow up to become gamblers, depending on the warnings and training issued to them by their parents. Grooming kids not to get influenced by the society they've found themselves in is difficult, but achievable. A man said to me that steady talking and advice to kids helps in making kids better in the future. Starting out to gamble as a child is dangerous. The parent of the kid will also undergo lots of trouble. As their funds wouldn't stay protected. Even his, the child's, pocket money will get troubled.
525  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Patience can help alot on: April 14, 2024, 08:18:43 PM
Never put 100% trust in gambling because its always the reverse of out expectations that would likely happen. We should be ready to face all obstacles thrown to us by the system, I know I'm never going to missed opportunities but even though I do, it will not be pained because I've somebody  close to trigger the task. Another thing we should know is patience, it works for those gamblers that have the  appropriate mindset of waiting and doing everything positively possible to gain.

Putting trust in gambling is the same as putting hope in gambling when in gambling the win cannot be guaranteed, although there are some people who believe in having a strategy to be able to win, but I think they are just more confident in being able to win while that doesn't change the conditions. gambling where winning is difficult to obtain. It's true what you said, we have to be prepared for all the provisions that have become gambling regulations, including losing or losing the money at stake.

When the gambling we do ends in defeat, we must be patient and not gamble again to recover the loss, because that is not recommended either.

Gambling is a fun game, and putting a whole trust in the game isn't recommended for any player. Since the results are not certain the players should enjoy the game while their session last. However, if a gambler is in deep need of money, he should look out for other valuable means to earn it, instead of hoping on casinos. The game is mainly to relax and enjoy our time. Misconception led to the viral acceptance that gambling is a side hustle, or another means to earn money. Hence a gambler who is not patient enough to enjoy the game gradually, and rushes over every idea that knocks on his brain, may not end up enjoying the game.

Sometimes, friends complain about not being patient to wait for a soccer game to conclude before they cut it short and take few profits. This lack of profits puts the gamblers on a harsh condition after the game is over. If the player possesses patience in him, he'd stay and wait till his game is over, then take a complete profit, that's if he's lucky. In addition, gamblers need to be prepared towards the outcome of their games, and not feel disappointed at any point. Because whatever it is they were expecting isn't guaranteed.
526  Other / Off-topic / Re: How can we help beginners not to get addicted on: April 14, 2024, 05:28:23 PM
If the person have don't control on himself and also have greedy mind then it is not going to be possible making suggestions or how ever we can help them to not be addicted on gambling. And the things what we can do is only giving the advice to newbies to make gambling in their afford to lose and also don't fall in greed if then you will lose everything.

I think the best way to protect yourself from gambling addiction is to keep a balance in your life. Seriously, you need to be moderately careful, moderately self-sufficient. And then the gambler will never have the desire to go to the casino. In general, you need to train personal qualities in yourself that do not allow you to bring confusion and chaos into your life depending on excitement. You need to stick to your views and be the master of your weaknesses.
In general, I think that anyone can achieve this.

Anyone can achieve responsible gambling, it's not all that hard but needs consistency. Gambling results change every single time money is wagered. Players also need to be optimistic about their thoughts and strategies, so as not to get left out. Because while the gambler's emotions are adjusting to the game and the lost funds, the player may find it hard to continue staying responsible. Most newbies didn't have in mind to be responsible in the game. They came for the sole aim of making money. Which isn't a smooth method of gambling. It's a strategy with lots of rough sides. That may injure the gambler emotionally, in the long run, leading him to addiction.

Hence, if a player who is fresh in the gambling niche, wishes to escape addiction, he needs someone to show him around. Nobody goes to a new town without direction and gets to his destination successfully. His funds could get exhausted on transportation fares looking for his destination. First, the newbie must begin by asking questions, on his new feelings as a gambler. Then move ahead to practice those things he's been told in the forum. I still stand on getting physical help or guardian, as the best way for a gambler to play responsibly. What is read online can be forgotten, due to the concept of gambling. But, another gambler's presence, plays a vital role in putting the newbie's confused thoughts back into shape.
527  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Making decisions while betting on: April 14, 2024, 05:08:09 PM

Plans change when the game begins, and it affects the confidence of the gambler in strange ways. Aside from gambling, when pressured to do something, our plans will change.

This is one of the truest things that exist in the world, I have always said something, when we are about to enter a casino, we are capable of making many plans, how we are going to play, even how much we are going to bet, but there is the option that When you are in a casino, things change because obviously things are going in other directions, other types of thoughts begin to occur, and if everything changes, I have seen how people with good money arrive home without money, that is the worst thing that can happen. happen, because sometimes they spend money that they don't have to and that creates a problem, I think that when a person has obligations they must first fulfill those obligations, then they can establish themselves by playing, but if you surrender to the casino and don't follow your initial plan everything is It can get out of control, so it is always good before playing it is better to establish how much money you are going to spend so as not to have bad moments.

That's an excellent move, at least making out some specific amount of money to gamble helps limit the gambler's time in the casino. If this is not done, the game could get out of hand, and the player wouldn't get hold of his moves, anymore. And his initial plans would seem, as though erased from his memory. The time to reflect on what was his plans before going to the casino, may not be available as well. I think gamblers to play slowly, and not wager quickly. It'll help them to remember their plans and strategy, as well as the stopping time. While gambling in a hurry puts off the gambler's thinking time, his money also diminishes at the same speed. And when money is not well managed, the gambler will always go home sad and disappointed.

Feelings like this only make the gambler try out again next time, unprepared. Some decisions are unsatisfying to the gambler, and he wants to gamble again, as soon as possible. If a gambler is prepared and follows his gaming strategy, he'd enjoy his game and whenever he's done wouldn't be in a hurry to play again. That's the advantage of playing carefully. I've noticed that whenever I don't enjoy the game, I want to play again, at least to get the satisfaction I missed in the last session. So, inexperienced gamblers get it the wrong way and never get satisfied because nothing changes between their methods in the past and recent sessions. Hence, they'll keep getting disappointed, gambling more and losing more.
528  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: When you are not to gamble. on: April 14, 2024, 04:48:34 PM
Apply solid strategies for profitable run in the system. Humble in gambling brings good results but when one becomes proud and having too many confident spots surrounding him, he tends to be the victim of huge losses and this will actually drained him and distracts him from the main chapters. Gambling is nobody's thing but most gamblers have to learn the hard way before they actually succeed.

Overconfidence that the win would arrive isn't a good thought for a gambler. He will be disappointed along the line, and he'd want to fill up his expectations at all costs. Gamblers develop a lot of emotional challenges while gambling. But it's not something to be worried about, because this thread already stresses ways to go about this for the inexperienced. Gambling with all we've got is risky and could get a player into anxiety. It's fine not to gamble at all. The stress, it'll cause the player if he loses out his money. Being humble as a gambler in matters relating to our finances, health, and strategies is worth it, because of the safety earned through respecting our methods.

Learning the hard way in gambling is mainly for almost every gambler who isn't informed about the risk of playing recklessly. It's embarrassing to find such players on this journey for the first time, looking to win a huge amount on the same day. This shows how irresponsibly prepared the player is, or he's been told about gambling. The whole game only gets interesting when the player is aware of the risks of gambling recklessly, the importance of having a good strategy, and money and time management. Although it's hard to learn and practice, a glimpse of the knowledge changes the gambler's journey of not getting addicted.
529  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is Gambling A Hobby? on: April 14, 2024, 04:28:23 PM
Gambling is indeed a hobby. Most persons might ague this because they think making gambling a hobby means you're getting addicted to it but that's not correct because the definition of hobby says "an activity that you love doing at your spare time" and that is what most of us do at our spare time. Some persons even go as far as gambling in their working hours which can  either make you loose your job or you getting addicted to gambling. I gamble when I have time for it and I make sure I don't do it in front of an underage.

The game should really be seen as a hobby , we cannot take it as an investment or perhaps as being in a job or getting a secure income, these types of things are what we should do to be able to distract ourselves and in some cases consider how to win Money , or multiply it, but you have to see it as an option that the opposite can Happen, because in the casinos they will always have the house advantage and the house advantage makes things different, because the casinos are all companies . , they are businesses and it is what the rest of us must always Consider, that is why when we enter a casino, if we take the game as a hobby, it is the Best thing we can do, to avoid Addictions.

Gambling is fun when we play during our leisure time, not during working hours. Players who abuse these games by playing when they have less time, emotionally unstable, or are sad, end up getting themselves into mistakes. Because gambling is a game that requires concentration. Not a game played while worrying about other activities. Gamblers are more excited when they gamble after all their tasks have been completed. However, the orientation each gambler got is quite different. That's why every gambler has personal experiences with gambling.

Although, when a player is concerned about playing as a hobby, his experiences will be more fun. As he wouldn't bother about his losses or win. Because of how minimized he's made his wagering amount, just for the sake of enjoying his game. That doesn't stop the fact he could get carried away during the gambling session. Due to a change of thoughts. As a gambler, it's important to stay firm in a good strategy, like gambling as a hobby. Greed is a destroyer of this strategy, in times when the wins begin to creep in. The gambler would be facing double minds, whether to raise his wagering amount. Such thoughts may not be easily controlled if the gambler is not firmly into the strategy of enjoying his games.
530  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why do some people hide to gamble on: April 14, 2024, 04:03:47 PM
Some people hide their gambling habits due to feelings of shame, guilt, or embarrassment about their behavior. They may fear judgment from others, worry about the consequences of their actions, or feel unable to control their gambling urges. Hiding allows them to avoid facing the reality of their addiction and the potential negative repercussions it may bring to their relationships, finances, and overall well-being.

It's true, mate.
I am convinced that most gamblers - 95% - with gambling addiction problems hide their weakness from others. They secretly move money away, deceiving loved ones and sinking deeper into a bottomless pit. For them, money ceases to matter, only serving as a source for new bets. Stories about how they steal valuables from family and friends are not uncommon. This sad phenomenon requires attention and support to help them get out of this vicious circle.

Negative thoughts are a fine line between addicts and non-gamblers, both always think that one party is doing something wrong. The addict thinks the non-gamblers would blame and criticize him, and the non-gambler thinks the addict will go about stealing and abusing his life for money. Hence, the gambler wouldn't have any other option than to hide from the non-gamblers around. However, that's a wrong move from both parties. Gambling is not something that should be hidden from our friends or family. Provided that they're adults and can decide for themselves what they want. Although not everyone is meant to know. Especially those who could get carried away and would like to try out gambling ignorant.

However, there exist multiple factors why gamblers do hide their gambling habit. Which include the ones mentioned above, stigmas. But, from the recent evolution of gambling, people can easily do it in their rooms. With nobody being aware. So, the player only needs to focus and at some point, wants to surprise his loved one. Hoping that he could win big someday and take them on a cruise or fun events. Those dreams of such gamblers get deterred by the unforeseen troubles that erupt from gambling. While gambling secretly is not fine, non-gamblers should learn not to develop stigmas on gamblers around their vicinity.
531  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Never gamble in front of your kids. on: April 13, 2024, 11:45:39 PM
Children or kids want to try gambling once they will that thier parents are involve with it or else siblings or neighbors but we parents, we are the guidance so we need to focus our attention to them if they want to gamble in thier young age then we must not let it cause one thing for sure there's a chance that it will lead into addiction cause some young men or woman can not control themselves and they will let themselves involve in gambling and have a big chance that they will become an addict and ones it will happen then that's is a bad thing.

In my childhood, almost everyone played games of some kind: the older generation played chess and dominoes, the middle and younger generations mostly played card games. Having got acquainted with gambling in childhood, it is quite difficult to give them up later on.

I do not see anything wrong with gambling. The main thing in time to realize that you should not put at stake all that you have and treat gambling as entertainment, even if you play for money.

Some successful gamblers started as kids. Gambling with parents and siblings on gambling-related games, with no money. Success in this context is those who can control themselves. And never chase a loss. I think the early experiences of playing with no money, cards like Joker, create the knowledge in them that gambling is not a monetary game alone. Hence, as an adult, the player wouldn't stress himself on making money through games. Instead, he'd want to enjoy the game as it was, as a child. Parents do have fun with kids, naturally, and utilize the moment to teach their children. Sharing methods of enjoying the game. They are games I played as a child and would enjoy as an adult. Yet wouldn't feel comfortable staking money on them, because when I began playing it as a child, money wasn't involved.

That feeling of playing naturally when playing the game still lives in me. I'd prefer staking money on casinos, and still playing naturally to at least enjoy the game. With fewer worries. Because I played games with my loved ones, with no worries about losing. It was all about skills and experience. Accepting defeat as a child helps in dealing with gambling as an adult. The biggest challenge of most gamblers is that they think of gambling as a competition. Between them and the house. It shouldn't be. Gambling is based on luck and experience. And to master this, a player should have been playing gambling-related games as a child, with no money. That is, he never knew money could be staked in such games. Gambling is not bad. Kids should be guided not to stake money as children.
532  Other / Off-topic / Re: Know when to stop on: April 13, 2024, 11:29:00 PM
Stopping gambling becomes very difficult for addicted people. Gambling tends to lose when we continue to gamble for the sake of winning. It is important to understand the basics of betting when to stop betting. Betting is inherently more complex than simply choosing a team and relying on luck as it involves calculated risk analysis and measured patience. Beginners must fully understand the concept of odds, understand betting lines and fully evaluate the different types of bets. Take your time to approach sports betting responsibly and develop effective strategies educate yourself and prepare for the unexpected.
We just have to know the solid strategy to enable because winning is coming everyday in the system, know when to strive for good points and everything will ends up folding up to be yours in the system especially in this particular season. It's okay to reject and turn down possibilities of bouncing back. This might just be a good chance to try out. Know when to stop gambling, this will be one of the wise decision to follow-up because it's streak undivided winnings coming your pockets.

Not being able to differentiate from when to start and stop isn't a good sign in gambling. It'll only take a few more plays for a player to stop. At least. Going farther than that is the wrong move. And should be worked on, through self-examination. Gamblers are not meant to continue playing if they're not winning in the first place. It's almost natural that gamblers who don't win will stop. Especially a newbie player. The casino chose an advantageous strategy of offering early wins to newbie players. To, for a while, keep them in the game.

However, gambling with no purpose or designated stopping time is not encouraged. Regardless of whether we are winning or not. Wagering money without calculating puts the player into debt. As the drive to wager more, sticks around the gambler, despite exhausting his funds. At some point, gambling will take control of the player. And stress him out. Mistakes then develop massively to diminish the player's wealth. All this happens due to the negligence of timing or limitations while gambling.
533  Other / Off-topic / Re: Do you think gambling every day is better? on: April 13, 2024, 11:11:24 PM
the way I look at it, gambling every day kind of suggest that you're becoming addicted to gambling and I wouldn't want to try it. I believe even for people that do sports gambling that's mostly done during the weekend and midweek, it's not too good to gamble everytime thier is a match, doing so will kind of enslave you to the routine and if you're not carefully to get all of checks right, you might end gambling above your  limit without even knowing you're doing so.

Maybe a maximin of two time gambling should be okay for the week and if you're considering other fun activity, you can decide to play games like snucker, minor sports or use your spare time to catch up with loved ones so it doesn't appear as thought you're spending all your free time engaging in gambling activities.
Gambling every day can be a triggered to be addicted to gambling as they will wants to playing gambling more often than usual because they seek the fun things from gambling. If they don't have self control, that will be a matter of time for them to be addicted to gambling. But if they can protected themselves from the tempting of the gambling, they will not becomes addicted to gambling but they will have a chance to enjoy the gambling games. It's how we can treats gambling and not gambling posses us by using it every day.

We must prevents ourselves from playing gambling and not playing gambling every day to avoids the problems from gambling. Besides that, he will thinks that gambling is his main activities that he must do every day so he will not do the other activities besides gambling. That will makes him addicted to gambling immediately and will not takes too long.

I'll move ahead by saying that gambling every day isn't for naive or curious players. It's a stage of gambling for some experienced players who understand the need to enjoy daily gaming. By following the due diligence process for responsible gambling. Not just for their safety. But getting a full enticing session of gambling. Addicts misused this strategy and got into trouble. It's quite a difficult and dangerous gambling habit for inexperienced people. Most addicts today, were once responsible for a few weeks or more until they began abusing the daily gambling strategy. Before gambling daily, the player must stick to his plans. That's the best and only means of escaping problem gambling due to daily gambling.

That doesn't mean, gamblers who stake games twice a week are free from problem gambling. They can decide to try daily gambling and fail in the process. Gambling every day promotes the chasing of losses for newbies and less experienced. Players who have experience in the game will never fail to stop once the designated time has elapsed. Not money. Some will only stop when their money gets exhausted. Which is wrong. Playing each day demands that a gambler possess a strong experience of self-control. At least 3-5 hours a day is still a nice time range. Then wagering bit by bit to enjoy our money for a long period.
534  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Where is the fun when you lose your money? on: April 13, 2024, 10:53:45 PM
When a gambler gets involved in gambling, he becomes addicted to gambling primarily because of his interest in money. I can never take it for granted that anyone who is into gambling is just for fun no matter what they say because a gambler is involved in gambling because of the interest and greed for money.
When a gambler bets on gambling, he is betting for profit. If the gambler loses on that bet, then basically a kind of anxiety is created in him. He becomes depressed because no matter how much he bets on gambling for pleasure, losing will inevitably create some kind of anxiety in him.
Gamblers don't gamble all the time because of the profit; there are times where they gamble just because they want to spend time on the casino and try out new features and have fun, and for the rest of them, it's not all the time that gamblers go to the casino all in the name of looking for greener pastures.

I know most people might be doing that with the mindset of getting something out of it, but not all gamblers are into gambling for entirely profit-making only.

Sure, all gamblers are not in for the profits. It's a self-determination, whether one wants it or not. Money or fun. Skills or health purposes. Gamblers are vastly running a game filled with unique settings, almost specifically made for a single gambler. Each gambler feels a unique drive. It's not a place where one doesn't know what he wants. We the players are fulfilling the wishes of the house. Gambling in their casino. Staying careful and focused to understand why we are gambling, helps players to find out their reasons for gambling. The choices differ, just like our nationalities, financial needs, and fantasies differ. But we share one significant reaction when our needs are not met: disappointment.

If a gambler doesn't have fun in gambling, he won't be happy, because that's what he wants and is not able to receive it. Players who focus on money, and don't win it, will also get sad. In terms of losing money, the reaction also differs according to the individual size of the money. A player who to him, lost a huge amount of money, will react strangely. Unlike a player who lost a few cents or units of dollars. If a player relies on money over his emotions, he'd suffer emotionally. Even if he gets the win, it could go back to settling his emotional stress.

Having a plan before gambling is indeed an easy thing for everyone who wants to bet to do and also they say they will be able to control themselves in the bets they place and I agree with you that this is indeed very easy for us to plan but it will be very difficult to do this. and many of those who have a plan before gambling will do it casually but when they are in the game they do it greedily so they lose in the bets they play and very few people can control themselves when gambling so they make the wrong decisions in the bets they play.

Plans change when the game begins, and it affects the confidence of the gambler in strange ways. Aside from gambling, when pressured to do something, our plans will change. Gamblers who allow the pressure of gambling compulsively to hold them, change their plan. Their previous decision may get altered due to the pressure of making quick decisions while gambling. Players often forget to quit as planned once a specific time elapse. Or even if they recall, the plan will get rescheduled to something else. It's a result of greed. Along the line.

The choice of making money easily supersedes the previous responsible plans. Like money limitations. As the results adjust gamblers tend to restructure their plans towards a better-looking method that could get the big wins. While still in the session, the whole previous plans will be forgotten. Players only remember their main responsible plans after the game is over. When it's almost late. However, deep down the remorse could start, but once back to the game, the same mistake will be repeated.

Do you prefer games where you know right away whether you've won (or lost) casino style, or do you prefer other games like sports betting? Do you have any other favorite games?
My most preferred game is sports betting, and football betting to be precise, This is what I like and derive joy from doing it among every other game betting out there,  because this is the one that also favors me the most and due to my winning rate, most of the time I'm in the money when compared to my winning rate in casino games, So I kind of stick to what that works for me, and I think this is the end goal in gambling, fun and good winning rate, then you are good no need moving here and there if you are seeing the desired result.

I prefer playing slot games due to the fast results. Sports betting is cool but possesses elongated time for the results to be concluded, which affects my thoughts while waiting for the results. Slots only make the process simpler, leaving me to wonder less about what to expect. Can decide to leave when I feel overwhelmed with the results. But, in sports, while watching the game, the viewers get unique reactions when the game isn't ending in their favor. Their mood begins to switch from all angles. However, the thrills are cool when winning.

Gamblers develop different feelings while watching their gameplay. Unlike slot where I'd only decide how to feel and when to end the game. Football causes curiosity and anxiety in the viewers. Though it's a good game, when money is staked on it, those agitations aren't good health-wise. Not talking about you, you've got a nice explanation about how you feel about gambling in soccer. In my perspective it only makes me want to get angry over a player for being unserious. I only watch soccer naturally, who wins or loses doesn't bother me.
537  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is Gambling A Hobby? on: April 13, 2024, 04:17:17 PM
This is particularly true as everyone has got their own idea as to what they think about gambling, they either see it as a side hustle, a main hustle or hobby, some even see it as a means for entertainment as they don't want to gamble to make money alone so they make it their hobby or side hustle. Some other persons has got another reason or view of gambling and that's fine but i think  every other view of it sounds very healthy except for eh aspect of seeing it as a main hustle which will most definitely cause the gambler some kind of unhealthy indulgence because gambling can at a point become addictive and the gambler gets in to problem resulting from their unhealthy gambling habit.

Gambling should always be don cautiously as there are so many aspect and effects that comes with it that one may not know until they are involved and then they get caught up in all of it. Always gamble responsibly and for solely entertainment purposes.

Yes, gambling as a side hustle doesn't sit right as a thought. No gambler has ever made it quite big in this hustle. The house isn't employing their player, except for those who work part-time with the casino. However, while gambling it's crucial for a gambler to devise a plan. Players with no target or plan of what they're doing in a casino, face many troubles. And they'll have a hard time accepting gambling to be a hobby. Instead, they want quick funds, thereby thinking of gambling as a side hustle. Although, gambling is good as a hobby. Especially when the gambler is interested in the games and doesn't focus so much on profits.

A lot can be learned from gambling. Some players don't care about the other technical aspects of gambling, where they'll help build their mental health. Gambling as a hustle diminishes the mental health of the gambler, into thinking he deserves to win the money he's lost. Playing as a hobby gives the gambler some form of confidence that he won't fall into trouble. That's what mainly matters in gambling as a hobby. But when the gambler isn't enjoying it anymore, I don't think this will be tagged a hobby, again.

Sometimes gambling can be very exciting especially when you have warm multiple times, despite your losses it is also exciting because whenever you remember your winning, you also feel better One of the most interesting part of it is the prediction when you are setting up your bed, you are always calm even when you are done setting up your bets you feel like OK you have done well, that’s a good news. We actually come out some people play more than the Bet at the same time expecting to win at least one or two or to cover up the order losses gambling can be really exciting sometimes and also make you sad.
Your minds manipulate you and make you so excited despite losses. And this is only it means something that gambling is really in your heart. But if you are gambling like you are chasing losses rather than entertaining yourself, it is not gambling anymore but totally a dumb decision.
Gambling responsibly is not a difficult thing to do if we consider gambling to be for our pastime but if we think this would help us improve our living and seeking for quick rich scheme, there is no excitement anymore. And we can never feel happiness even we win because we are aiming more.

Gambling offers excitement to players who want to generate fun through the game. But the changes are also a factor in the player's behavior. If a gambler isn't prepared to retain the fun he's getting in gambling, he finds himself in trouble. However, gambler must exercise their decision-making skills, and not get over themselves when making choices. Gambling requires steady self-observation if a player is looking out for the excitement. Being sad is an involuntary occurrence, staying sad is a decision. After a loss, a gambler can be sad, but if he remains sad, it's his choice. The gambler has the choice to change his mood swings.

Players who enjoy gambling can get sad about losing some bet but laugh over it after some time has crept by. That's a smart means of watching the games in a stable mood. Gambling with a troubled mind grants more losses to the gambler. As his decision would be coming from a place where uncertainty thrives. His mind is not clear on exactly what to do. Hence, whatever he does would be blamed upon, him, especially when he doesn't win a dime. Such experiences confuse the facial expression of a gambler, whether to stay happy or remain sad. In a nutshell, those who are determined to be excited will be, for a long time.
539  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why do some people hide to gamble on: April 13, 2024, 03:34:08 PM
It might be that they are still underage which they can't come out to play gambling in the open that people will see them or they are from a region that people don't have the boldness to come out to play gamble because their are some places when people are aware that you are a gambler you feel a shame because of what they will think about you, to be a bad person iñ the society. Sometimes people hide to play gambling because they feel they are not doing the right thing.
This is not always about being underaged, there are people that see gambling and business of the ungodly that is why for people not to see them as a gamble especially when they are known in the public, they would rather decide to gamble in privacy so that people would not know that they are into gambling. I would better prefer to gamble in the hidden places not in public because their are still people that will think that you are doing unethical activities that does not glorified the Lord. We all came from different homes so it is better we understand the kind of home we come from to make things easier for one. Gambling is not for everybody and it's important we know our boundaries.

Upbringing is one part forward for good or bad human behavior. A player who decides to hide while gambling with friends has his reasons. But in the context of upbringing, could it be he was never allowed to openly associate with people growing up? Humans display a huge part of their childhood, as adults. There are multiple factors as to why these people chose to stay in segregated areas to gamble. As they say, correlation doesn't imply causation. We only would guess the reason, in my previous thoughts, I think they're running from the cops. But I still wonder if a gambler running from the cops is serious about this, he'd be in closed doors.

In further thoughts, while writing this, I think of it as valid. Staying outdoors allows the gamblers the freedom to see clearly who approaches the environment, and it's easier to take off. So, it's unrealistic to use one person's upbringing to define the reason behind the behavior of multiple people. The players in that circle may not have similar parental training. This makes the thoughts of upbringing not completely acceptable. However, if they are teenagers who just started their gambling, they could be, truthfully, hiding from people who may report to their parents.
540  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: A gambler lost what he couldn't afford to lost and broke his TV after game Lost on: April 13, 2024, 03:14:29 PM
It is never good to express anger over things it will only hurt you more you just couldn't afford to gamble. Should have calmed down after playing and losing. Breaking the TV is causing you more damage. Destroying things in the house does not work well. Be careful next time because you lost. If you can't avoid losses then stay away from betting the number of losses will decrease.
Losses and winnings are not the same thing, one brings joys and smile while the other brings glaring and sadness. We should learn to understand how the market operates and our emotions should be stable at all time. Emphasis on ruining valuable properties at home because your bets didn't trigger profits, will solve nothing. Gambling addicts are well known for this aggressive actions, they're always hot temper because they become desperate to make profits. Be ready to observed the system and also ensure you've master the momentum of been silent. Anger will lure a gambler to commits offense.

The player may have been shocked to lose $1000, a reminder that he shouldn't gamble what will cause him pain. One anger leads to another, he's now down on both sides, lost his TV and money. That's a severe pain on his end. His regret would lodge in his heart for a while. Peace of mind is the oxygen of humanity. A player whose mind is not peaceful would get stressed out in their thoughts. I think a close person to him like Op should talk to him. He could get depressed if he doesn't receive valuable attention for overreacting in this manner. Explaining to him that all will be fine soon is a better word but letting him understand that his terrible behavior could put him in despair, would make a difference.

That's a problem gambling by the corner, he should be attended to immediately. His expectations have failed him. Having in mind what he would have done with the doubled money if he won, seemed to him a disappointment when he lost. All he ever thought of buying with the money may have been lost. Thoughts like this make gamblers gamble beyond their control. However, he should be in a better mood, soon, emotionally. He was only terrified; his anger would get suppressed sooner. But there is a big tendency he'd get into that behavior again when he tries gambling a high amount and losing it.
