521  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Blockade [CADE] [1% PoS] [Decentralized DDoS Protection] on: September 11, 2014, 10:52:35 AM
Why are you edit the top post with no info of DOScoin?

Well, in fairness it does state "Blockade is the continuation of DosCoin" as the first line of "What is Blockade?".

Point 1. of the road map also mentions the coin swap.

Could be a lot clearer though. Let's just call it a work-in-progress Smiley

More info on just how the coin swap will work would be helpful, too but this is a huge project and we appreciate it will take some time and effort to lay out and manage.

Every IPO phase.

what do you mean every ipo phase one person can only exchange max 60,000 coins

Hopefully subsequent phases will involve larger quantities of Dos exchanged. I'll have to do a couple of dozen exchanges at that rate and we've already heard from one bagholder who'd need 1300+ exchanges  Shocked
523  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][SUPERCOIN] Mandatory Upgrade V.3.1.1 or V.1.6.1 on: September 11, 2014, 06:53:45 AM
Exchanges are part of the infrastructure of Supercoin, the number of exchanges has a positive effect on the price. Voluntary renunciation of the markets - complete nonsense and madness.
Question: why bitcoin is worth $ 478 now, and cost $ 1 three years ago
Answer: Bitcoin infrastructure greatly expanded during this time

+1

Withdrawing from markets is an A-grade stupid idea.

Let the markets decide rather than running from any.

Nope, never advances past block 42241 (~8 days ago).

We're about to get kicked off C-CEX for lack of trading, too.  Angry

The first swap will occur by the end of this week.

Will you be limiting the exchange available per person or is it 1st come, 1st served?

I see we have a coupla large DosCoin holders aiming to switch out at flag fall.

I'm limiting the first one to 60,000 DoS or 1000 blockade per person.

Nice one.

Gonna take a while to exchange millions then Smiley

Hoping this is of some assistance to you.

Cheers from the land down-under

No help Sad
Copied your nodes and everything but didn't help. What is the default port for cloakcoin? Maybe my ISP has again closed some port down. Are there any nodes with alternative port numbers as with bitcoin?

Edit: All your peers seem to be coming from different ports, if I understand the addresses correctly. What could the problem be then? It aint the firewall or anything and other wallets are working fine.

Hmm... just checkin': You have stopped your Qt wallet application; saved your wallet.dat file to a secure location; deleted Windows Directory: AppData\Roaming\CloakCoin or MAC Directory: ~/Library/Application Support/CloakCoin; started and stopped your Qt wallet; copied your wallet.dat and the .conf from http://cloak.blockexplorer.cc/nodes/download.php into the newly recreated CloakCoin directory and again started your wallet application?

And it still won't connect to the network?

Is that the case?

nice to see that my staking machine is among addnode addresses, i dont know how it got there but it's nice Smiley

i get about 15gigs of outgoing traffic per month, didnt know it consumes that much

Actually I don't know whether your staking machine address is in any official addnode list - I may simply have noted it via getpeerinfo and added it to my .conf file manually. I've been know to tinker with such things while waiting for Mac wallet builds Wink

Anybody experiencing any of the following:

Coins not arriving at mintpal or other exchange
Wallet is out of sync
Not displaying the exact block number as showing on the Cloak block explorer... http://cloak.blockexplorer.cc/chain/CloakCoin

Follow the instructions posted below.

went through the same. Apparently fork on mintpal. Only way to recover for me was:

1. Make copy of wallet.dat -DO NOT MISS THIS else coin gone
2. Get rid of the entire appdata\roaming\cloakcoin folder
3. Run the wallet
4. stop it and copy your saved wallet.dat back in
5. create a cloakcoin.conf file in the appdata\roaming\cloakcoin folder
6. add some nodes eg this is the content of my file:

Get latest nodes from... http://cloak.blockexplorer.cc/nodes/

7. Run the wallet again and let it sync

I had to restart it a couple of times to get the sync to complete
If your coins don't show (happened to me) : go to debug console and enter and run repairwallet

Should be good after that

The wallet doesn't work anymore. Got v1.9.7.33. Sometimes it connects to one node for a few minutes.

Is the .conf file supposed to be CloakCoin.conf or cloakcoin.conf? Neither works but just wondering.

G'day Starvin' Smiley

I'm using v1.9.7.33 on Mac 10.9.4 and I've transferred coins from both MintPal and BitTrex today without difficulty. My wallet currently shows 22 active connections to the network - here's the result of getpeerinfo (time is GMT + 10):

Is keytrader out yet? I have the vm running but don see keytrader in the image.

Cheers,
Pit

We're currently doing lots of internal testing and debugging for the next build of KeyTrader (which will be cross-platform). We're trying our hardest to break it so the release is stable, then we'll go ahead and get it packaged into the KeyOS ISO.

I've also been working with a few community members to tackle an issue with OSX wallet downloads, and we have narrowed things down quite a bit. If anyone else has an issue with their OSX QT wallet, please post here! It would be great to try out a solution with another user.

I've been going around downloading a bunch of different coins' wallets for testing's sake and I'm finding that for me it's only the ones that are hosted on MEGA that have launch problems when downloaded through Safari.
That's what I've found mostly, but you did have to take some additional steps to get it working after downloading through Chrome as well, correct?

I'm running Mac 10.9.4.

It is quite common for Qt wallets to crash on 1st launch as they seek files not yet written but they usually work fine with subsequent starts. Same happened when I first started the wallet extracted from KeyCoin-Qt.zip but all seems to be in order now.

What troubles are being reported?

Putting realistic real-world pricing on a project of this magnitude seems to be generating some shock in the synthetic altcoin ecosystem.

Somekindabitcoin appears to have his feet more firmly on the ground than most of the flash-trade and move to the next shiny bauble altcoin "investors".

I'll continue to hold my DosCoin and after the swap will likely hold as many Blockade as I can manage, too.

I admire the ambition and I'm impressed by the realistic budget for so ambitious an enterprise.

Good work Somekindabitcoin, you keep right on thinking and planning.

What time the wallet can repair, start trading again?

Dev's back but can only work on this part-time, apparently.

We'll just have to be patient and hope the coin still has a pulse when he's done  Wink

Bittrex' frozen BLTR wallet is gone since today, hmmmm.
In BITTREX my BLTR can not find, who knows what is going on

Your BLTR wallets showed until recently?

Odd, mine was removed from my wallet list at the end of July.

It can be reinstated IF the dev repairs the blockchain, which, atm, is the great unknown. Haven't heard from him for a while.

POSSIBLE MAC ISSUE:

Super-coin.net downloads page still points to SUPERCOIN Mac OS X Wallet V 1.4.2 and the download link is for http://www.super-coin.net/supercoin-Qt-v1.4.2.dmg

This may be the cause of some Mac users' issues.

Can it be updated to point to http://www.super-coin.net/supercoin-qt161.dmg please?

Wallet from correct link works fine.

This is mac wallet https://mega.co.nz/#!pBY2CYJS!vDzwp7br31XABxBLnvaICCQJXCqB38XEd0dV6nuwGmQ
1.6.1 mac users upgrade now
We need Feedback on this wallet.
Wallet will not load Mac Version 10.9.4 error -Qt: Operation not permitted last wallet at least opened.

I'm running Mac version 10.9.4 and having no troubles with 1.6.1.

I used this link: http://www.super-coin.net/supercoin-qt161.dmg with the supplied zipped blockchain and supercoinconf and fully synched in ~15 minutes.

Have since transferred ~2K SuperCoin from BitTrex and wallet is staking at prodigious rate.
I invited https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=201081 our mac dev to check the issue to the thread

That's great but I'm not sure there is an issue. As I replied to awaygotroubles I'm on the same Mac version and the Mac qt-1.6.1 wallet appears to work just fine. Transfers from bittrex were rapid and staking has rapidly caught up. No known problems here.
