522  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin to the common man. on: April 07, 2024, 09:25:13 PM
Bitcoin can be the light as well as Bitcoin can become the darkest wildest nightmare. For an average Joe Bitcoin will definitely look like must have but they should be prepared about everything before buying their Bitcoin and only people who did that can withstand the bear season as well as the scammers and hackers who always waiting for the opportunity to steal money.
if you don't understand the purpose of Bitcoin I don't think that you will say anything reasonable or tangible concerning Bitcoin some of us who don't know the important of Bitcoin do condemn the progress of Bitcoin because they don't know the value and they also the impact in the society but when you have understanding the system of Bitcoin there's nothing will make you not to follow up the system so that is why people who doesn't come closer to the system of Bitcoin have another intention and the another definition of Bitcoin they might not see bitcoin the way you see it as something that will help the Society in future
This is basically the way life itself on a general sense is, because no one would ever appreciate something that he or she has already condemn from a far without getting to know the full details of that thing and that's the same way many people and some government in general have looked at Bitcoin.  Bitcoin today has been of more help than the problem it has caused to the general society and if don't come close to it then it would be very hard to believe or have faith.
523  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: About running an online casino vs an offline casino on: April 07, 2024, 09:15:38 PM
I will say that obviously running a authentic online casino is not a easy job and also it not a deal of small funds investing it may be looks simple but there many things are included what is made it harder than physical offline casinos. Most of the offline casino is local people based and on the others and online casino work with globally. And here lot of thing to do designing of casino development with the era and the technical supports and security and licensing. And also the proper marketing which are not included into a physical offline casino.
The odds of engaging in gambling is highly risky. The offline and online casino are both recommendable but we tends to follow the one that's does suit our style in the system. Be ready to face the pretty rough path and also dive in for improved phase of the system. Everything connecting to a casino does require money. We should be ready to face profits and losses because we'll be seeing these results steadily without any significant changes.

Whether online or offline casinos, it really doesn't matter because both can be both pleasurable and harmful at the same time, but it depends on how you approach them, that's why people who go into gambling should do so with the understanding that we may face both wins and losses and also prepare for whatever outcome we meet, and we should also know that the chances of losing money is way more higher than the chances of winning.
More than anything people should try more to approach gambling with a sense of responsibility and awareness of the potential risks involved in gambling, perhaps this could help gamblers make more informed and responsible decisions while gambling.
We all know this but to stop it is very hard for those that lack self discipline and that's why many people have fallen victim to the harmful effects that comes with gambling, sometimes all what we ever think of is to actually find anything at all that can yield small profits and in this course some persons relate it to Gambling which is really sad because it takes a well discipline mind and person to gamble and not turn addicts.
524  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Stopping the curse of losing streak? on: April 07, 2024, 09:10:22 PM
I’ve been on losing streak for almost 3 weeks of gambling, not daily but in random basis for over 3 weeks. Mostly I play only live blackjack using small bankroll around 50$ to 100$  . No matter what I do, slow play or whatever betting strategy makes me lose since dealer card is always so good around 90% of my game.

What I did is I stop gambling for a week and decided to try different game so that my mind will be fresh and positive. I play slot games and manage to win huge amount that is enough to recover my 3 weeks losses and gain a decent profit. I’m just using small bet on slot games when I hit the huge jackpot.

In conclusion, if you are already having a rough time on playing same game over and over despite you have a good experience on it before. Trying new games to you and taking break will help you to snap out of your losing streak because chasing losses usually make us trap on our losses.

In your case, how do you approach when you are on losing streak so badly on specific game. Does changing game works for you?
When a gambler is on a losing streak, its always hard to find a particular game that would be yield and some times all you can ever think of is how to completely get vacation those winnings as fast as you can but that would just still lead to more losses so what I do is actually just to pause and find other means to compensate for the loses of that deposit i made to my betting account because its better to play safe than to chase loss.
525  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Stop gambling if you don’t have free time to do it on: April 06, 2024, 10:09:14 PM
It is not just time that they need, stop risking money if they couldn't even provide what is necessary for them or their family.
We know that there are people out there who would risk or gamble their money even if they don't have enough to live an average life or indebt.
I know that they are aiming for the profit but why risk what they have, if they couldn't even pay their debt or have a comfortable life?
Living a comfortable life comes with a whole of sacrifices to be made, just stick to a particular strategy that's bringing winnings. I'm not into gambling because there's no time for that to be triggered, instead we should be settling for day Jobs because it's the sources of provisions. Before gambling, ensure you're free from debts and you sits in balance position to provides the needs and wants of the family. We're man and adhere to every responsibility of our loved ones, never relent but focused on doing the ultimate jobs.
You're not into gambling because you will see that this won't give you any benefits. But for those who see gambling gives them pleasure and happiness, they will try it even if they are a family man and only have limited free time. In fact, it is not necessary we have to spend a lot of time gambling and have a huge fund in order to enjoy ourselves but what we just need is to understand that gambling is not a source of income and that we have to be seriously doing this. Instead, make this our pastime just to relax our mind from the whole day working.
Gambling responsibly, that is what it meant.
From a very wide view of things, I think gambling should be done as something that is purely based on stress free  kind of activity or maybe you are bored and wants to get some action then I think some different forms of gambling got you covered although for some person the excited get to their head and they fail to manage themselves properly and before you know it they end up regretting their whole session because they can end up chasing after loses that are long gone.
526  Local / Politics and society (Naija) / Re: Growing Nigeria's Digital Economy on: April 06, 2024, 09:56:41 PM
Op do you really understand weti you dey talk at all. Nigerian digital economy e don help people to have jobs. Na your mouth I dey first hear dis kind things. Where di job dem dey wey we no dey hear am. My man Nigeria still dey far from the uses digital economy. If Nigeria understand digital economy dem for no allow Binance leave di country. Nigerian digital economy is stagnant and not even moving to anywhere instead they are looking for whom to blame. Look at the eNaira, how many Nigerians dey use that wallet or service? Nigeria Technology (ICT) e dey very weak and dat is why we even have slow network with high cost of data. Technology in Nigeria never contribute to the growth of the country economy. Nigerian economy is just dollarcentric with crude oil and not anything from the tech department or ministry.

Me I don't know where you go get you information. Di problem is even caused by di government. Dem no dey ready to develop the Technology ICT ministry which na di Ministry Of Science and Technology. And di only thing dey know na to suffer di citizens with bogus registration of line, collecting high registration fee from any digital job done by them such, NIN, Sim card, Mobile Data to browse and and others. Oboy no talk dis thing for another place oh. Nigerian digital economy e no dey grow anywhere.
But even at that when you look at the stats and compare with other African nations at large, I believe say Nigeria fit dey do well although am speaking on behalf of this particular thought base on the private sector side but in a general and public sector as the government don supposed development am reach they are doing absolutely nothing rather even making things hard.
527  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Becareful with telegram wallet! on: April 06, 2024, 09:51:15 PM
Anytime I see any company meant to something else that starts adding wallet as a new feature, I just ignore it because I know it would not be a reliable source for wallets and the safe keeping of my assets. When I saw the new wallet feature telegram did, it just occurred to me that this is another legal way to loss your asset if anything happens to your account or telegram network. Just like the way, keeping your asset in an exchange is dangerous, storing them on telegram wallet is even more dangerous. This is the second time I've come across app that start offering the service of wallet.
Well for starters, telegram is definitely not a place that anyone would even think of doing anything aside from its communication purpose because the app has given himself a reputation that befits the abuse of it. Telegram is currently a ground hole for scammers and alot of them are very active finding and coursing for their next naive victim. If I had been the one seeing this then I would probably first have a wrong view about and probably even abandoned it as well.

I wish to express my profound gratitude for having the wonderful opportunity to be part of this great innovation. However, I'm a newbie that just got into the system without much experience of what the system entails and I will be very grateful if I will have someone in the this forum that will guide me on how to make use of this opportunity to make a good contribution that will enable me to get the best benefit of the system.
Well you are welcome to the system I suppose?😁😁 Well in order for you to make good post or contribution here, you probably first ought to learn how things are being organized and done here because the system is where people discuss and educate themselves on different field that's covering crypto knowledge and since you have already stated that you are on a low on this particular field then all you to do now is extensive reading here.
529  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Make we dey very careful about Bitcoin minimum deposit for some exchange on: April 06, 2024, 09:32:45 PM
My brother no be small Thing oo and sometimes the major cause of this whole deposit being lost na due to the fact say many people been actually don dey really familiar with binance and maybe some other exchanges wey their minimum deposit dey very very low because I believe say for binance the minimum deposit of crypto na as low as 0.0000001 BTC per deposit where as some exchange na even upto 50$ as minimum deposit.
530  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is the halving already priced in? on: April 06, 2024, 09:19:29 PM
BTC has been "pumped" massively ever since the spot ETFs were approved in the US a few months ago. The rise has been exponential, making BTC reach a new ATH before the halving. This has never happened before in the history of crypto (AFAIK).

Considering that BTC is in a new ATH, I wonder if the halving is already priced in? If that's the case, then market prices will remain relatively the same post-halving. Don't you think?

Your input would be greatly appreciated. Thank you. Smiley
So many are already being skeptical about the price movement is now different from other years that Bitcoin actually waver around it's old ATH until after the halving before the new set ATH is achieved but for this year it's all different. But from my end although this is my first real involvement during a halving year so I think am still positive about the price moving or going up to atleast 100k after the halving is all over.
531  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Be cautious when copying wallet addresses on: April 06, 2024, 08:50:39 PM
It is better to check and recheck the address that you are sending to someone before sending the address. It is better you check and recheck the address that you are sending coins to before sending the coin.

Bitcoin transactions are irreversible after 6 confirmations, once confirmed it's gone.
After 1 confirmation, it is gone. If the transaction does not support replace-by-fee, the coin has likely gone even when it is not yet confirmed. Even if the transaction support replaced-by-fee, it is possible that it might have been too late.
This is the part of the crypto system that some people actually find not cool but for me it's actually worth it because atleast it will teach you as a coin owner to be very careful when sending your coins to a particular user. The one time mistake I have done was not actually checking the minimum deposit for a particular exchange that I wanted to send some coins from my non custodial wallet to and that mistake cost me 15$ because the minimum deposit was the exchange was exactly 20$.
532  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you have a habit of tracking your gambling progress? on: April 05, 2024, 11:40:08 PM

Then there is one indicator that you can use for measurement - deposit/withdrawal. Because it does not matter if you win 100 times, when you can withdraw less than deposited. But what is the point of tracking such info? And this indicator turns to be useless for people who deposit to have fun. They pay for fun and they dont care if there is anything left on the balance by the end of a day. As for me, when deposit = spend, as well as lose = spend, such tracking makes no use. I dont measure my gambling as profitable or not, I measure it with I had enough fun or not yet.

for gamblers who don't care about such tracking of course it will not affect the gambler. but if there are gamblers who care about such tracking, I'm sure there will still be more in their accounts that they deposited than they withdrew.
there may be regret when they see these results, gamblers will think they should hold onto their assets rather than risk them. and the results must have made them happy.
but gamblers definitely can't be like that. most of them bet and then forget everything. it is not very important to look at the history of how many assets they have deposited or how much they have withdrawn.

Can you give an example in which case this information or such kind of tracking can be useful? Or maybe share your own experience. I have a simple measurement system of my gambling. If the balance is larger than I have deposited, then it was a productive and lucky gambling session. If it is lower than deposit, then I consider that I had fun for that money. Pretty simple. But all other statistics, for example, in which slot or game I win or lose more, % ratio of success, size of bets and etc. This is less important for me. I would gamble in a game that I enjoy most, then in a game that I win more.
For me I believe that gamblers that actually fix their thoughts on all these  things are probably the ones that fixated their mindset on making their Gambling habit as a kind of job and they check all these stats to follow up with their progress or loses that they have enquired but for an average gambler who just makes bet for fun I don't think all these things are actually necessary besides if you actually know your boundaries then it would be good not to be check these things not to get your self all tensed up.
533  Local / Off-topic (Naija) / Re: Don't Give up on: April 05, 2024, 11:32:13 PM
My own opinion be say no be everybody go make am big financially. Even  success in life is relative and must not only be financially. There are other aspect to life. But like the OP said no need to envy and try to drag people down be happy for the success of others because in one way or another you get weytin the other person no get and wey the other person dey find, so no need to envy anybody all of us get different path for life wey we suppose accomplish, the problem these days na say everybody Don dey too desperate to make am financially and I no blame them but contentment will never go out of fashion.
That's very correct my brother, e no get how e wan be wey somebody no still dey look for wating you get, thats just the Beauty of it all. The universe was program to actually be like that so not all success is tied up to finance and you know what they say about happiness too, which is no amount of money can actually buy you that one true happiness that every man craves for and I know this because I have seen some financial bouyant men still complain about how restless they life is and sometimes envy the average man with little burden and peace of mind.
534  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Have you ever done something crazy to bet? on: April 05, 2024, 11:04:42 PM
Though many people have been involved in this kind of thing but one thing is sure those days you weren't in control of what you did considering your age and am very happy that you condemned the act, I have a friend those days that involve in the same act but his own has worsen now because he couldn't stop gambling, he graduated from middle school gambling to a pure addict, op you were lucky that you were able to get out of this, many addicted gamblers started just as you narrated it, gambling at a young age is very disastrous because at this age you are unable to control your actions, this may sound strange to many of us that weren't involve in this kind of stuff but I must tell you getting out of this behaviour isn't easy.
You are right that when any one place a bet which usually not happen that occur only for addiction or we may call it as a crazy bet. And it happened with me at several times. And maximum time I am closer though I made profit in fee bets. I had bet these bets as I had no control though I think I am not addicted on gambling.
If you are not an addict then you are good to go. But sometimes we can be in the motion of actually gambling and even forget ourselves and make a very stupid move that we might find regretful at the end sometimes. So many people actually bet crazy sometimes but that doesn't certify that they are addict, the sure thing to note is that you are well aware of the action and note to correction if possible even.
535  Other / Meta / Re: Please Recover My account on: April 05, 2024, 10:39:48 PM
Patient is needed for your account to get restored most times you won't get immediate answer knowing that your account has gained no attention over here. Between, admin and mod might be very busy to respond to you so quickly as you have think it. Then I will encourage you to have another device where you will store your personal information and keep the device at home while going out to avoid completely losing access to you important information.
It's so sad to see this happening to another person too because not too long ago, a friend of mine complained to me that he has actually lost his password to his account too and he was actually thinking it was hacked or maybe the password has been changed but it all a mistake from him because he didn't save the password on any password saver app so as to get access to it when needed and the worse part of it all was that he also lost access to the email which is too bad and after seeing all this happen, I quickly had to learn from his error and rectify or lose end from my own account and anything that has to do with password accounts be it social or financial apps.
536  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: A mistake you would surely regret on: April 05, 2024, 10:31:26 PM
Should we say the bull movement is over yet or the party is about to get started, because what I can see is a mainstream price lump up and for now the correction is still very much ok for Bitcoin and 66k is way high price enough, although those that jump in when the price was above 72k have made a lot of lost since then, but the fact that Bitcoin is not for short term base makes it mandatory for them to wait and not be in a rush to exchange back there investment.

We hard Bitcoin ETF approval in 2024, and also Bitcoin halving Around the corner with it essential ability to push the price forward.
I can you tell you that with this little set back so many people that aren't fully acquainted with the market have started fearing that the bull is over and they have even started resulting to sell off their coins but if you are with the thought that Bitcoin isn't a short term investment then you would understand that the market is actually just warming up towards the major events that is up ahead. Past records show that the halving is actually a good time for Bitcoin investors because after it comes the big bull that pumps so high and I hope this time around still turns out the same.

538  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How many times all-in save your bankroll? on: April 05, 2024, 10:18:00 PM
I knew that most of us here experienced doing an all-in bet whenever when we are already down significantly amount of our bankroll and already get tired to slowly earn back your losses.

I’ve done this several times and I manage to save my bankroll to profit/breakeven greater than suffering a total loss. I usually use the craps or mines to do the all-in bet to have a potential profit greater than x2 while I have more lifeline for my bet rather than a straight bet with x2 multiplier.

What game is your favorite to do this and what’s your record so far if you can still track it?
I don't know how reliable this technique is but I sometimes only resort to this when I know am ready to actually lose everything or agreed that luck should play its course. Sometimes gambling can turn from having fun to stress consuming especially when the results you are hoping for isn't actually coming and this can make a gambler go all in despite knowing that it's involves him risking everything.
539  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Is investing in exchange tokens profitable? on: April 05, 2024, 10:05:08 PM
Investing in exchange project e better pass all those airdrops memecoins and shitcoins. BNB is very slow in movement and I think OKB is more faster than BNB. But if you like to invest, I will advise you to invest in OKB instead of BNB because since BNB is not accepting peer to peer again in the country di matter go fit affect you although people dey save coins there and transfer it o another exchanges and sell or trade am there but dat one now na extra cost for the person.
You can still be able to sell BNB on Binance and few other exchanges. So what should this do with P2P on Binance that was disable for Nigerians not to access? In marketcap, BNB is the fourth largest cryptocurrencies. But I will not advise anyone to go for those centralized coins because bitcoin is more decentralized.
So because they are centralize they are not advisable to buy? Well I think some of these centralize coins are worth buying even though they are centralize especially in a pump period like this. Binance is already big exchange and they are already alot of investors buying their BNB coins which has already given it such high market cap value but the only disadvantage is that if anything happens to the exchange your coins will also be greatly affected or even lost forever.
540  Local / Politics and society (Naija) / Re: Scammers won't mind kicking those who are already down on: April 04, 2024, 09:47:29 PM
this is the same situation as the person being scammed. the scammer's victim who asks for help recovering their Bitcoin still is targeted by more scammers pretending they could recover the BTC.

FTX victims are still the target for scammers. you really can tell this world is a dog-eat-dog world and you who have been scammed will need to learn the hardest way and be suspicious every time someone chats at you because damn sure something is not right when out of nowhere someone DMs you. when something is not right, you best believe kicking them right to their face is the right thing to do.
That's the world for you mate, humans are of different nature and they have the mind to do all sort of things even from collecting or cheating something which they know is already vulnerable. As I saw your reply e come make me remember one movie wey I watch this called the #THE BEE KEEPER. Dat film show your all these scammers are connected and can go to any extent to make their business seem like a good one where as there is an underground scheme going.
