How did you stumble on that website?
Who did give you know about the exchange and its link to visit?
Actually last night i opened a thread which was created in Bitcoin discussion board by someone using newbie account and after sometime that thread was deleted by the moderators. So, i decided to warn those people here who are not aware of this scam.

Lastly, you made a bad mistake, I see your email address. You blurred something on the screenshot but did not blur what you need to do most.

Blur it and attach a new image, please.

Many thanks buddy for catching my mistake. I didn't noticed top right corner my email in picture boefore. And also buddy remove the screenshot from your reply as well as it still available here  Smiley
523  Other / Beginners & Help / [Guide] Avoid These Kinds of Scams on: November 14, 2023, 11:23:45 AM
Last Night I was using My mobile Phone and i stumble upon a website which is kind of exchange where we can buy or sell cryptocurrencies even we can make transaction using this website.

I Created my account on this website and there i saw an option of referral and promotion. I click on it and tried to find a promotion code for this which was 6d479tvu.

After applying this promotion code i received 0.2 BTC into this website wallet as available balance as you guys can see in above picture.

I tried to withdraw this amount 0.2 BTC into my Binance wallet. Then they said verify your account. e.g KYC i started to verify my account.

1. First Step was simple like enter your name, Your Date of Birth etc.

2. In second step they said me to deposit amount in btc into website wallet which i found scam in my mind so i didn't deposit any amount into website wallet.

Why this question arise as scam in my mind?

1st... 0.2 btc for free like no exchange offer you that much amount for free..hehe Cheesy
2nd... they want me to deposit first into their wallet.

Maybe after this deposit i would lose my money.

My suggestion to you guys avoide these kinds of scam and stay safe.

The reason I haven't Merited your posts is because I have doubts if you wrote it yourself. It doesn't match your other posts, in which you make many mistakes from writing words wrong to incorrect capitalisation.

Thanks dear for representing your intention or opinion for my post. I really don't know how can i prove myself to you but TBH this topic is self written and other one your aforementioned was just an idea i shared on BTT well no problem dear i will keep struggling to be more creative here and as english is not my very first language or there maybe a chance of mistakes but i am grooming myself in that too. Many Thanks

526  Other / Beginners & Help / [Guide] How the mechanism of encryption and decryption work in crypto wallets. on: November 08, 2023, 03:29:10 PM
Introduction:

There is no doubt the crypto world getting bigger day by day. Although, we know that it is digital world so first thing is to make the asset secure so that no one can access to your assets in any way. So, the idea of digital wallet arises which using the idea of encryption and decryption which makes your assets more secure. Only you are the sole person who can access to your digital asset. In this Topic, we will talk about how encryption and decryption work to protect cryptocurrency wallets and why it is important of their implementation in digital world.

Mechanism of Cryptocurrency Wallets:

Before we discuss this in more comprehensive way lets know the main facts of digital wallets of cryptocurrency. A cryptocurrency wallet is a digital tool or program that allows you to manage, store, and interact with your digital assets, like Bitcoin, Ethereum, and several others. These wallets contain two major components which are the public key and the private key.

What is Public Key? It works like bank account number which is also public. Other people can send you digital asset using your public key.

What is Private Key? On the other hand, Private key is work like security pin or password of your bank account which only you know. You can access your digital assets using your private key.

The Role of Encryption

The process of encryption is used to make secure of your private key from unauthorized access. When you create a cryptocurrency wallet for your digital asset, your private key is encrypted using cryptographic algorithms which is advanced way of security. Let’s discuss how encryption works.

Generation of private key: The private key is the sequence of long random characters. It is upto the wallet to generate your unique private key.

Encryption: Encryption is actually used to convert your private key into a secret code to prevent it from unauthorized access. Symmetric encryption algorithm is used to encrypt the private key for security enhancement of your wallet.  A symmetric encryption algorithm uses a same key for both encryption and decryption. This private key is derived from the wallet's password, which is set during the creation of wallet.

Storing Securely Private key: After all that, your private key is stored in your wallet application which you can access any time using your wallet password and without wallet password nobody can access your private key.

The Role of Decryption

Decryption is the opposite of encryption. It is the process through which the encrypted private key is converted back into its original form, which is human-readable. These steps below defines how decryption works…

Authentication: To perform any transaction and access own wallet we need to enter our password. We need to enter the password so that wallet can authenticate that we are the rightful owner of this wallet or not.

Decryption: Once the process of authentication clears then the wallet uses our password to derive the decrypted key, which is then used to decrypt our private key.

Wallet Operations: With the help of decrypted private key, we will be able to sign transaction and receive our cryptocurrency into our wallets.

Report of Blockchain wallets till 2022:

Conclusion:

It is obvious that we all need security of our digital assets that’s why the mechanism encryption and decryption act like the guardians of your cryptocurrency wallets. Encryption protects our private key from unauthorized access which is done it by converting it into an unreadable code, while decryption allows us get access to our private key in its original form when needed. After understanding the mechanism of encryption and decryption, you can take important steps to ensure the safety of your digital assets. It is highly recommended to use strong, unique passwords and keep them in a secure place where no one can access it easily.

Disclaimer: This topic is self written and i studied this topic of "encryption and decryption" in my university. I decided to write it as "How the mechanism of encryption and decryption work in crypto wallets." after doing some research.
527  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: [Guide] What is recommended to follow "Social Media Or DYOR" in the crypto world on: November 06, 2023, 08:08:50 AM

I know some friends who believe those links that appear in browsers with “Congratulations, you have won a car, click on the link to get it” and other frauds that appear as if you have won something or received free gifts.

The most they can do is search for the first result on Google, which is sometimes misleading.
Search for most services on the forum and you will find that the first link may be a phishing link (not to mention that some Google ads appear first).

You Have raised a good point here. It happens most of the time like the first link on google can be misleading Because they are using some kind of sources to promote their website to be show at the top when user is searching for some desired thing. In This way, they use Some trending keywords for their misleading link to be rank on the top of the page.

I myself have seen alot of links like this and also seen those people who begin to think that they really get these rewards but the bad part is that they don't do any kinda research before clicking on the links So I would say DYOR is very Important. Sometime they fell prey to these phishing link due to lack of research.
528  Other / Beginners & Help / [Guide] What is recommended to follow "Social Media Or DYOR" in the crypto world on: November 03, 2023, 03:21:50 PM
Introduction:

The adoption of cryptocurrency has seen a well hiked up growth in recent years, as seasoned investors and newcomers looking to have good profit from the digital world. While in this unexpected world of cryptocurrency, investors face a crucial decision: whether to rely on information of social media platforms or should conduct their own research (DYOR – Do Your Own Research). I hope this topic would be interesting to talk about the recommendations of putting the well-balanced decision in b/w “Social media or DYOR” approaches to follow.

Social Media Hype:

There are many social media platforms like Twitter, Reddit, and various online forums where communities have been created to spread information about the discussion of cryptocurrency. Sometime these discussions are created to catch the investors in the traps and on the other hand, some fair social media communities are created for just the benefits of investors where investors can have real time information. These are some pros and cons of relying on social media for crypto investment information.

Pros:

Quick Updates: Social media provides quick updates. For example, market trends, news, and the latest happenings in the world of cryptocurrency.

Fair Community Insights: There are many social media platforms where worthy communities have been created so that investors can join and have wisdom of the crypto community, which can offer them a valuable perspectives and insights.

Quick Accessibility: As we know that information on social media is freely available for those people who are interested in crypto world. They can join many communities as many they want to join which means social media communities are quick accessible for the investors.

Cons:

Leading Misinformation: Many of the times social media information created just to mislead & misguide and to create fake hype in the market of cryptocurrency. Following these wrong advices can lead to big losses.

Emotional Traps: There are many emotional traps which are created on social media that can be play its role to emotionally charge to investors. Which in response investors make impulsive decisions based on the traps like FUD (Fear, uncertainty, doubt), and FOMO (Fear of Missing Out).

DYOR (Do Your Own Research)

DYOR is the most important fundamental principle in the cryptocurrency world, which emphasize the importance of personal research. DYOR can help you to get more information and knowledge.

Pros:

Confident Decision-Making: Conducting your own research will allows you to fetch well-informed decisions based on facts, rather than relying on rumors or fake hype which are created to get trap investors.

Reduce Risk: When you do your research properly this will help you to reduces the chances of falling prey to scams of fake social media hypes.

Cons:

Time Consuming: DYOR is the time-consuming part because to fetch more accurate data you need to do Comprehensive research.

Complexity: We know the fact that Crypto projects can be highly technical, which makes it a big challenge for newcomers to understand them totally.

We can see the report of scams due to social media which is reduced by 2022. Maybe be it is due to the DYOR people are getting aware of many scams.i could not find the report of 2023 if you guys find it anywhere please mentioned me here. Thanks

Conclusion:
In the world of cryptocurrency, I would say combination of both social media and DYOR is the best recommended decision to follow like if we see any hype or news on social media, we must conduct DYOR for that to verify that it is real or fake? and we should avoid impulsive decisions. By combining both approaches and following the recommendations aforementioned, investors can have benefits in the crypto landscape more effectively, minimize the risk and rate of success can be increased.

Disclaimer: This topic is self written and i did research about the report to know that what is the ratio of scams due to social media Which is now impressive than before.

530  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: "Lump sum Vs DCA" for Bitcoin Accumulation on: November 02, 2023, 10:09:39 AM
Personally, I prefer looking for discounts, and buy the DIP and HODL. I know that DIPs could go lower after the purchase sometimes, but having a discount is definitely better than no discount if you ask me.

Indeed, you raised really good point here. Who don't want to have discount? it is obvious that everybody would like to have it. Probably not everybody get this opportunity of discount.

But for the topic, "Lump sum vs. DCA", I believe from a plebs perspective just do what you are comfortable doing, do what gives you the least stress/anxiety, and do what makes you happy. In fact, you can do both if you want to, no?

Yes, you said so well that do what gives you the least stress/anxiety, and do what makes you happy.

In fact, you can do both if you want to, no?

but can you please tell me how can a pleb will do lump sum because maybe it can be prove a wrong decision for him to invest all at once because we know that we can't time the market and his action of doing lump sum can be put him to do repent because maybe after that market go more down where  pleb can enter in the market to have good profit out of market. I so would say DCA is good for Plebs and short investors and Lump Sum is good for the Big Investors and big investors can choose any technique that they want.

Must share your opinion over this maybe we can get a better solution for This. Many Thanks!

Kind Regards...... Snowpega
531  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: A Complete Guide for Cryptocurrency Newbies "The Best Way Of DCA" on: November 02, 2023, 08:52:47 AM
My advice is that, if you have a big sum of money to buy bitcoin, it is better that you don't lump sum because bitcoin price might go dipper than when you buy. You should use the three method of accumulating bitcoin which is lump sum, buying at the dip and regular DCA.

You can share you funds into three parts and use one fraction to lump sum, use one part to continued with your regular DCA and keep the last part to buy at the dip. You will be able to increase your bitcoin investment portfolio faster than when you use the money to only lump sum, or for only DCA, or buying at the dip.

Buddy, You have raised a good point here. DCA is good for the plebs and for those who get their funds as salary per month or by weeks so they can easily divide their funds into part and Do DCA for bitcoin accumulation. On the other hand, Lump Sum is best for those who have big amount available in their pockets and not need to look price of BTC all the time and as everybody want to speculate so somehow the big investers also look at price sometime to have big profit out of market.

hmm, we can not get all the opportunity to buy all the dips because many of the newbies fell prey to FOMO by thinking that market will go more down and miss their good opportunity of current dip.

It is hard to predict when bitcoin price will dip.

Indeed, So accurate.

535  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: This Sheet May Help you to calculate Your Portfolio Easily. on: October 30, 2023, 12:42:18 PM
You can even, insert the transaction fee and tax rate and the above two calculators even show the profit that you make on your investment like in your example, you wrote $500 and the total profit is $1506 but the real profit is $1006 so, it would be nice if you will add another column representing the profit only. Great work BTW.

Yes, buddy you really mentioned good thing here like the profit section should be separate and ok can you lemme know what is the transaction fee or tax fee held over each transaction i would like to add them for making it more usable for you. Many Thanks

Great effort at OP but this is too hard for people who are new to google sheet/excel.  They would rather look for a calculator on the internet than do the calculation and plotting manually.

Thanks Dear For appreciation, i will share the link of sheet here but i'm working to add some more Feature in the sheet so that you guys can have more advantage of it. Pleasure! Smiley

<Snipe>

Buddy You didn't get my main point. I suggest here a child board with the name of location and then this child board will contain the name of cities in the form of thread. There will not alot of boards in local Buddy You didn't get my main point.  just have to create one child board name with location that's all what i wanna say. Rest of that i think you did not read my post carefully.

<<Snip>>

As i aforementioned that my main purpose not to request local board here again because it is already requested here. This idea i present here for others board for now and whenever we get our own local board i also would like to see it there as well. Hope now you will get my point more clearly. Many Thanks
537  Other / Meta / There Must be child Board With the Name of "Location" in local boards. on: October 27, 2023, 06:09:17 PM
I myself belongs to Pakistan community. In usually, We don't have our local board for Now but Hoping to have it Sooner.  Our Senior members    shahzadafzal , irfan_pak10 , Hamza2424 Leading Us very well. I am sharing the request link of local board where you guys can see our every months reports which is now is impressive rather than before.

Re: Request: New Local Board for Pakistan (Urdu)

But, this idea can be implement in other local boards for now until we get our local board. Many of here may ask why i am saying to create chlid board with the name of location. So, the reason is that if there is child board with the name of location we can create threads in it with the name of cities; Like in Pakistan

Threads name be like in location child board in Pakistan....

1. Lahore
2. Karachi
3. Islamabad
4. Faisalabad .....etc

These cities name may vary location to location according to the country name in their local board.

By creating these threads in chlid board name with location we can held collaboration concerts or events by doing some announcements in these thread like where we want to held any coming event and maybe helpful to announce some important News in the cities thread related to coming events. This May be very helpful to increase the audience by inviting many of the people on these events. Where seniors will educate other people about this forum who have no idea about it like how much positive potential have this forum.

I Myself really like this forum very much because as a joiner on this forum i get to know alot of ideas and knowledge from other member and even from other boards as well.

So, for now this idea can be implement on other local boards by creating child board with the name of location. This may bring a massive audience on this forum and bring it up. Hope you guys like my idea. Many Thanks! Smiley
