It's an overwhelming and a  shocking poor performance by Spurs tonight in that first half. It's high time the young players on the bench be giving a chance to prove capabilities and skills. The midfield and defense of Tottenham tonight is really lagging behind in this game getting out-runned  by the Brighton's players all of the time.  If it continues this way on the second half more goals will be conceded by Tottenham.
522  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is there any fun in losing while gambling on: December 28, 2023, 07:27:11 PM
Over the time, I’ve seen several post, by users here who, claim that gambling is strictly for fun, even when one is making losses and I’ve paused to ask this question “Is there actually any fun in gambling especially when the losses are more than the winnings?”
Let’s be frank, there are several other things one can do for fun aside gambling and I understand that life it’s own is a risk but seeing claims that people see gambling as fun even when making losses is weird and I think it’s worth discussion as to know if truly people gamble strictly for fun without minding if they’re losing or winning
It's in parts and this has to do with what interest you in indulging yourself in gambling, for some their condition could be out of loneliness having no close neighbor or friend to keep company, also elderly people too out of boredom take part in gambling and these people will mainly gamble for entertainment and fun seeking reason where losing won't be something to worry about provided they are catching the fun that's killing their boredom and loneliness.
On the other side, there are the gamblers that stuck themselves into gambling for the sole purpose of making money and anything of a result that's of the opposite will definitely not sit fine with them. so it depends on the individual what made him get into gambling in the first place.
523  Economy / Gambling discussion / Can I dodge KYC using the his medium. on: December 28, 2023, 12:21:56 PM
Is it possible one can dodge KYC verification request after winning a big amount of money and decides not to withdraw a lump sum but bit by bit in smaller amounts. I have read many posts talking about how they wanted to withdraw the money they won but due to the amount they wanted to withdraw was big, they were asked  pass kyc verification because they never did when they first registered.

palace ate playing like a troubled team they are not settled with the ball and it's making Chelsea play as if they are too good with the ball as Chelsea are always rushing them to gain much possession of the ball, though Chelsea later seem to be relaxed after scoring their goal.  Crystal palace all they have to do is to change the pattern of their game add a little confidence in holding the ball and making calm passes. With a 1:1 scoreline in the first half the chances are that crystal palace can make it through in getting more goals in the second half.
525  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: December 27, 2023, 07:32:40 PM
Yes indeed, even though Manchester City play away against Everton in today's match, of course Manchester City will be the favorite team to win. But yes, even though Manchester City are still predicted to win in this match, I think it's still not easy either because yes, at least Everton are also still in a good trend at this moment.

Manchester City has taken longer time than I expected to bounce back to the top of th tree, but no doubt they should clean this match without any struggle even though Everton has been performing nicely the past weeks, I still think Manchester City will not take any chance in today's match. Guardiola is already piss with critics because of the slow recovery of the team but he says what maters is the end result which I believe he will deliver for certain.

Quote
What's more, it looks like Haaland will also not be played in this match because he is still injured but maybe I'm wrong, because I also still don't know the information related to Haaland in this match whether it will be played or not.

But yes, if for example Haaland still cannot be played in this match then of course it is still not easy for Manchester City to beat Everton in this match. At least, Manchester City's previous match when playing at home against Crystal Palace, at least that match will be a consideration too for this match. After all, although on paper Manchester City are still very favored but yes, at least Manchester City also still have a chance to fail.

Haaland is not coming and I don't think his absent will be felt that much considering the available players that are going to represent the team to night. Even if he should come, I don't think much will be achieve because in the last few matches of his, he didn't do much and some couldn't score a goal.

Perhaps Haaland has began to feel the absent of Kelvin, last season he never have a single break and never had to struggle for ball but it looks like he is now doing the only attack KDB was doing and while he does the score. People's opinions might be right when they say he can't do well without KDB because he has begin to show exactly that prowess but since Kelvin is back, maybe he will improve.
The situation with Haaland should be something to remind strikers not to fully depend on anyone in the team for creation of goal chances for them, they ought to be a struggling striker that fight for their own goals  and not just positioning waiting for a pass to come through for a prolific midfielder like KDB as in their absence you will be greatly stranded of goals. Having said that, Haaland hasn't been a lazy striker though, he has been able to manage his leading position as the highest goal scorer in the EPL so we can't really say for sure he's deeply affected by KDB's absence that much just that the team as a whole has not been up to expectation in winning matches since the absence of KDB. But am happy he is back and could fixture in any of their games any moment now.

Many persons have shared their bad experiences about trading in general, how they lost their funds, got into debt, even wrecked their finances.
It is good for newbies if they read stories about loss with trading, risk of trading because very few people will share their painful stories.
This is so true, and this has misled plenty of newbie traders that has to encounter series of losses in the beginning of their trading journey which made them to give up shortly bethinking that trading isn't their thing. Mainly those YouTubers who teaches about trading online they only make use of successful trades in their tutorials making trading look like a simple affair you can jump in and out with profits. Showing newbies the ugly side of trading will in my opinion strength their mind and prepare them for what's ahead as they decide to pick interest in crypto trading.

Quote
People can succeed in trading but chance is small and it is proven by many studies and statistics.
You're correct, if we're to sum up the total figures of crypto traders the successful figures will be insignificant to the total. And those that fall into this successful traders figures are traders that started off with huge money as start up. They have a lot of advantages with experiences that they keep gaining as they make losses and later build on those experiences to be professional traders. All am saying is that, in trading the amount you have also matters in determining your success at the end.

Aston Villa has been very accomplished with the ball tonight in the first half and aside having a 2 goals lead in this game Villa also have a  100% control of the statistics in this match against their opponent Manchester united.
Should this game end in this scores Aston Villa will be equal in points with Liverpool on the table who will only be topping them with goals difference.
To Manchester united fans, can United be able to turn things around in the second half , we have known Manchester united in then days to be known for late comebacks so is it possible United can call back this game scoreline to a 2:2 draw or more luckily win this game or will Aston villa double the goals in the second half?
Now Aston Villa is leading 2-1 where Garnacho was able to reduce the gap but unfortunately the goal was disallowed by Var which meant that Aston Villa remained in the lead with a score of 0-2. I think Aston villa has a big chance of securing this match with a win because they can implement the option to defend until the match ends. Well, the match has entered the 65th minute, where Manchester United continues to try to reduce the gap and they continue to build their attacks quite well in the second half.

And look at Garnacho scoring another goal and I think this is a really interesting match where Manchester united can prevent Aston villa from stealing full points in this match. If Aston Villa fails they really waste a good opportunity in this match.
It's really been an interesting and thrilling night for Manchester united in this match securing 2 goals in the space of 10 minutes and the third goal from Hojlund being his first goal of this season and in the EPL  the goal came at the most crucial time transpositioning Manchester united to take the lead to claim the whole 3 points of the match. No one saw this coming that a team that played so poorly could come back at the second have and secure three goals in a row to win the game. Aston villa has so much explaining to do to their fans on how they had to let go such opportunity to win this game at a platter of gold. Just as they say, in the game of football anything can happen. Congrats United for the comeback!
529  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: When (if Tenable) is The Right Time to Share Your Bitcoin Private Keys? on: December 26, 2023, 10:30:55 PM
This thing about trust I don't know how you guys look at it, especially when it comes to family, marriage, children, and all that. Before you move ahead and get married to a man or woman, there are things that you use to judge them before making your decision, and if you don't trust them at all, there is no way you are going to start a family with the person.

So, to cut the whole story short, if you are married for security reasons, your spouse should at least be aware of some of your holdings destinations in case of emergency.

Currently, almost all my wallet's details I don't hide from one of my trusted family members; he doesn't have access to them currently, but if an emergency arises someday, he knows the way about my holdings, and with little support from others, they could be able to access them, so my holdings are secured to some extent.
People take trust issues too extreme but the truth is that you've no choice but to have someone to put your trust in and confide in him or her for this reason of sudden death to be sure you have your family to benefit from your investment in the case of emergency that takes your life or a brain damage.  When we choose who to marry we also unconsciously and consciously have taken a decision of sharing certain vital secretive informations with that person we call spouse, what I see as to why many people are scared of leaking such vital information as private keys to spouse is due to how  prevalent the divorce cases has been on the surge nowadays and it has become a lesson for them in the aftermath of what resulted in such divorce cases. But still, we ought to have someone to trust with informations because life events such as death is unpredictable and inevitable.

We do not all need to agree on this but since Peter Obi lost his court case in all of the courts in the country, he declared that he is now in the opposition. His twitter is filled with "attacks", "Criticism" of the current ruling government. He is doing what the opposition does, but does this help the country's problems? Or is he trying to stay "relevant" until the next presidential elections?
Wetin Peter Obi the do nah a chunk of the beauty of democracy wey give room for opposite to exist and act as a watchdog to the ruling party giving constructive criticism wey go put dem on their toes to make productive policies and give the citizens beta leadership. Imagine say even with the criticisms here and there evry day still the ruling party still the jonz and lack behind with betta economic policies, nah be say if say opposition no dey wey the point out their mistakes in critique na be say them go just feel unconcern weda things de better or not. The criticisms na part of the politics to stay afresh in the mind of the people mostly their supporters make inno be lik say them don the lose relevance and popularity from their supporters. Me I no dey against criticisms in as much has e dey constructive and meaningful.

532  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: It is you who can't stop betting. on: December 25, 2023, 09:41:14 PM
Happy Christmas to all gamblers. I have been reading some threads and comments that many people have been saying that they find it very difficult to stop gambling (not only gambling addicts), but on one hand, I really think that it is not hard to quit gambling even when you are winning and not winning, but it is you who can't control yourself. Bets can not force one to stake, but a gambler can force themselves to stake a bet, even when he or she does not have money to bet. Some gamblers did not learn how to gamble. They just see themselves doing it, but they can't stop it. Why because they can't control themselves, even when they are not an addicted gambler?
What do we have to say about this?
In gambling the easiest way to identify a gambling addict is in the  lost of self control in how they gambling, don't have time when to gamble and when not to leave. I have heard of a gambler who couldn't leave the gambling house when the set  time for a meeting appointment he was booked for clocked even when his wrist watched which he had set alarm for the time rang he just turned it off and continued gambling.  Such is an explicit example of gambling addiction a lack of slef control and money management while gambling, the only time you see them pause is when they have lost all the money they came with. The untold truth is that when wild gambling has taken over you there's no stopping.
533  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: In The Span Of six months what will make you trust a new casino on: December 25, 2023, 07:20:22 PM
In trusting a new casino here I'll go with all the options except for the last which is about reviews from review sites many of those reviews found under review sites are actually not what they mean in terms of sincerity as they are a lot of paid reviews in the interest of the casino. But above all I'll holding on to their reputation which everything op mentioned falls under it, when a casino has a good reputation there's no other thing to be worried about regarding their services from deposit to withdrawal and all the rest.
534  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: CENTRAL BANK OF NIGERIA LIFT THE BAN ON CRYPTOCURRENCY IN NIGERIA on: December 25, 2023, 05:08:48 PM
Not to blow up good news but when did the ban ever stop Nigerians from using Bitcoin, just look at this very forum lol

I mean, I've been using it regardless legal or not, in fact kinda prefer it to not be clearly legal because it seems scams pop up when it's legal... leading to ppl losing money, and Bitcoin getting a bad name.

Remember, Bitcoin is freedom money Smiley
The ban was in the use of banks in executing cryptocurrencies p2p transactions, I don't have the data to show for now but from what I know there were many bank accounts that were freezed by the banks because they were used for crypto transaction deal at the time the ban was in place. So it's a goodnews to see that the banks can now be used for these same transactions now the ban is lifted and made legal.

You have been using it on exchange p2p and the fiat you receive as transfer from the trade are done in coded communication between buyer and seller  thatt it has no crypto related words for the banks not to have evidence to show for it , as far as I know that's how we have been doing it not until now the ban is lifted. As for giving crypto or bitcoina bad name, there's no good thing in this life that has been giving a bad name but those that knows it's genuineness always filter the noises.

First I will advice you is that you shouldn't be too fast to quit your job for trading because you are now earning from trading. Before you quit try to make other alternative because it is not idea for you to depend on trading and have no hope on anything that is generating money for you. In trading anything can happen that you don't know how long you will be stranded,  for now think of creating something else for income before making trading as your only job.
Government paid jobs aren't that bad as op make it seem as though there's nothing good to come out of it, except you are without a university degree that's when you can't really benefit much living as a civil servant of you're employed as a graduate yearly promotions takes you to the hierarchy of earning high and to crown it all it's a consistent and reliable income source, instead of quiting it for trading that is conspicuously not consistent in terms of making profit out of it especially within the bear periods losses are enormous no matter how good a trader you profile yourself to be. Combining the both in increasing your sources of making money is highly appreciable and wise than quiting your job or any other source of income to focus only on trading. Who does that?
537  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Know when to ride and stop! on: December 24, 2023, 04:15:14 PM
Don’t increase your bet when you are losing because it will just amplify your loss immediately once you are in bad streak. Always test the water before you increase your bet.  Wink
Assuming I have $20 to be used to bet for the week. I want to go for 3 rounds. Anytime I win, I will stop gambling for the day. I go for a 3 odd game.

For 3 odd games
I bet $5
If I lose, I will bet $10
If I lose I will bet $20

This is called martingale which we all know and can be used to win. Anytime I win, I will stop playing. If I lost three 3 times, I lost for the week, but the chance that I will lose three time is very small. All losses after a single winning would be recovered and there would be more profit.

The disadvantages are that you will not be able to stay long to gamble and also if you lost more, the higer the losses in the next round. It takes discipline and responsible gambling.
The martingale strategy is a fine strategy specially for those with small bankroll and that have stipulated number of times they have set to play after which they would have to stop for the day. If you don't do it that way and peradventure you encounter streaks of losses which is very likely to happen, a continue increase of stake  upon each loss without a limited gambling plan can run dry your pocket cause your loss gets higher with every bet made going forward. So to be successful with the martingale a gambler has to apply absolute discipline knowing when to stop when is not his/her day rather than chasing the losses.
538  Economy / Gambling / Re: Responsible gambling on: December 24, 2023, 07:44:42 AM
Here are two things to take note of before gambling
1.have a budget:it's very crucial to set a budget, decide how much money you are comfortable spending on gambling
I guess you mean have a healthy bankroll and sticking to it, without a bankroll a gambler will experience a lot of mismanagement of his money gambling without a limit, this act of stupidity has cost many gamblers to squander their salaries in a day just on gambling alone as the didn't know when to stop based on their lack of budgeting/bankroll.

Quote
Always stake what you can afford to lose. Have a limit and stick to it, doing it this way wouldn't put you under
Pressure and anxiety
2.Take breaks:This is a very important point..gambling can be very addicting especially when we start excepting a lot from it
From the first point I made I said you should always stake what you can afford to lose but it's important to
Take regular breaks especially when your losses are more than your wins.give yourself time to recover cause it's all about maintaining a healthy balance...I hope this helps someone out there
I learnt about this from a gambler I use to have random interaction with sometimes when I visit my regular on land sports betting shop in town, for some period it came to my mind I haven't seen him at the bet shop for the few times I had visited then one faithful day I met him on the road while I was heading out, asked him why I haven't seen him for a long time now at our usual gambling spot, he told me he was just taking a break due to how he had had many losses in the past weeks and not to get emotional about it he goes for a short break which had always help him cool off and probably change his fate when he will later resume.
Taking a break be it long or short break's can be a therapy to help prevent addiction and much losses, it doesn't mean we're cowards it only means we know what we are doing and that we're still in control of our gambling life.
