521  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: It is you who can't stop betting. on: December 25, 2023, 09:41:14 PM
Happy Christmas to all gamblers. I have been reading some threads and comments that many people have been saying that they find it very difficult to stop gambling (not only gambling addicts), but on one hand, I really think that it is not hard to quit gambling even when you are winning and not winning, but it is you who can't control yourself. Bets can not force one to stake, but a gambler can force themselves to stake a bet, even when he or she does not have money to bet. Some gamblers did not learn how to gamble. They just see themselves doing it, but they can't stop it. Why because they can't control themselves, even when they are not an addicted gambler?
What do we have to say about this?
In gambling the easiest way to identify a gambling addict is in the  lost of self control in how they gambling, don't have time when to gamble and when not to leave. I have heard of a gambler who couldn't leave the gambling house when the set  time for a meeting appointment he was booked for clocked even when his wrist watched which he had set alarm for the time rang he just turned it off and continued gambling.  Such is an explicit example of gambling addiction a lack of slef control and money management while gambling, the only time you see them pause is when they have lost all the money they came with. The untold truth is that when wild gambling has taken over you there's no stopping.
522  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: In The Span Of six months what will make you trust a new casino on: December 25, 2023, 07:20:22 PM
In trusting a new casino here I'll go with all the options except for the last which is about reviews from review sites many of those reviews found under review sites are actually not what they mean in terms of sincerity as they are a lot of paid reviews in the interest of the casino. But above all I'll holding on to their reputation which everything op mentioned falls under it, when a casino has a good reputation there's no other thing to be worried about regarding their services from deposit to withdrawal and all the rest.
523  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: CENTRAL BANK OF NIGERIA LIFT THE BAN ON CRYPTOCURRENCY IN NIGERIA on: December 25, 2023, 05:08:48 PM
Not to blow up good news but when did the ban ever stop Nigerians from using Bitcoin, just look at this very forum lol

I mean, I've been using it regardless legal or not, in fact kinda prefer it to not be clearly legal because it seems scams pop up when it's legal... leading to ppl losing money, and Bitcoin getting a bad name.

Remember, Bitcoin is freedom money Smiley
The ban was in the use of banks in executing cryptocurrencies p2p transactions, I don't have the data to show for now but from what I know there were many bank accounts that were freezed by the banks because they were used for crypto transaction deal at the time the ban was in place. So it's a goodnews to see that the banks can now be used for these same transactions now the ban is lifted and made legal.

You have been using it on exchange p2p and the fiat you receive as transfer from the trade are done in coded communication between buyer and seller  thatt it has no crypto related words for the banks not to have evidence to show for it , as far as I know that's how we have been doing it not until now the ban is lifted. As for giving crypto or bitcoina bad name, there's no good thing in this life that has been giving a bad name but those that knows it's genuineness always filter the noises.

First I will advice you is that you shouldn't be too fast to quit your job for trading because you are now earning from trading. Before you quit try to make other alternative because it is not idea for you to depend on trading and have no hope on anything that is generating money for you. In trading anything can happen that you don't know how long you will be stranded,  for now think of creating something else for income before making trading as your only job.
Government paid jobs aren't that bad as op make it seem as though there's nothing good to come out of it, except you are without a university degree that's when you can't really benefit much living as a civil servant of you're employed as a graduate yearly promotions takes you to the hierarchy of earning high and to crown it all it's a consistent and reliable income source, instead of quiting it for trading that is conspicuously not consistent in terms of making profit out of it especially within the bear periods losses are enormous no matter how good a trader you profile yourself to be. Combining the both in increasing your sources of making money is highly appreciable and wise than quiting your job or any other source of income to focus only on trading. Who does that?
526  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Know when to ride and stop! on: December 24, 2023, 04:15:14 PM
Don’t increase your bet when you are losing because it will just amplify your loss immediately once you are in bad streak. Always test the water before you increase your bet.  Wink
Assuming I have $20 to be used to bet for the week. I want to go for 3 rounds. Anytime I win, I will stop gambling for the day. I go for a 3 odd game.

For 3 odd games
I bet $5
If I lose, I will bet $10
If I lose I will bet $20

This is called martingale which we all know and can be used to win. Anytime I win, I will stop playing. If I lost three 3 times, I lost for the week, but the chance that I will lose three time is very small. All losses after a single winning would be recovered and there would be more profit.

The disadvantages are that you will not be able to stay long to gamble and also if you lost more, the higer the losses in the next round. It takes discipline and responsible gambling.
The martingale strategy is a fine strategy specially for those with small bankroll and that have stipulated number of times they have set to play after which they would have to stop for the day. If you don't do it that way and peradventure you encounter streaks of losses which is very likely to happen, a continue increase of stake  upon each loss without a limited gambling plan can run dry your pocket cause your loss gets higher with every bet made going forward. So to be successful with the martingale a gambler has to apply absolute discipline knowing when to stop when is not his/her day rather than chasing the losses.
527  Economy / Gambling / Re: Responsible gambling on: December 24, 2023, 07:44:42 AM
Here are two things to take note of before gambling
1.have a budget:it's very crucial to set a budget, decide how much money you are comfortable spending on gambling
I guess you mean have a healthy bankroll and sticking to it, without a bankroll a gambler will experience a lot of mismanagement of his money gambling without a limit, this act of stupidity has cost many gamblers to squander their salaries in a day just on gambling alone as the didn't know when to stop based on their lack of budgeting/bankroll.

Quote
Always stake what you can afford to lose. Have a limit and stick to it, doing it this way wouldn't put you under
Pressure and anxiety
2.Take breaks:This is a very important point..gambling can be very addicting especially when we start excepting a lot from it
From the first point I made I said you should always stake what you can afford to lose but it's important to
Take regular breaks especially when your losses are more than your wins.give yourself time to recover cause it's all about maintaining a healthy balance...I hope this helps someone out there
I learnt about this from a gambler I use to have random interaction with sometimes when I visit my regular on land sports betting shop in town, for some period it came to my mind I haven't seen him at the bet shop for the few times I had visited then one faithful day I met him on the road while I was heading out, asked him why I haven't seen him for a long time now at our usual gambling spot, he told me he was just taking a break due to how he had had many losses in the past weeks and not to get emotional about it he goes for a short break which had always help him cool off and probably change his fate when he will later resume.
Taking a break be it long or short break's can be a therapy to help prevent addiction and much losses, it doesn't mean we're cowards it only means we know what we are doing and that we're still in control of our gambling life.

Greetings everyone!

I really want to know if merit is necessary in other to secure my account, my friend who introduced this site to me said, I must have merit

Please how do I get this merit and how is it important.

Maybe your friend that introduced you to the forum didn't do his explanation well or maybe you're just the the one who didn't understood him well. Merit in this forum has no security concerns with your account holding, the merit system was only introduced a a measure to make forum users put effort in their letters to deliver and engage in knowledgeable discussion's and threads. It's a way to maintain quality of information within the forum and not a means to securing your account. Op just understand that whenever a post/comment of yours receives a merit(s) from any member of the forum it's either that your post has solved a problem or made sense or added to that person(s) knowledge.

So it's crucial you deliver quality to the forum as you are now here

The government of Nigeria have risen to the needful, and it will interest you all to know that the ban as it were was from the past administration of form president M. Buhari, and it's the  new administration that have just been sworn into power under president A. Tinubu that gave the directives for the lifting of the ban placed on cryptocurrencies transaction with banks. I perceive that the current administration is crypto friendly and understans the benefits and the trend of the current age through cryptocurrency.  We therefore anticipate to see more crypto adoption and high operations of institutionalized bodies like exchanges on the soil of Nigeria to hit the ground running..

Op there's another thread still on this that  was created almost 24hrs ago before yours dwelling on same development so I'll advise if you can lock yours to have the conversation in one piece under a single thread. Thank you! 👇

The Toffees taken by surprised and they couldn't net a goal to secure a win against the competitive spurs. Watching Tottenham Hotspur winning Everton 2-0 and its second half already. Richarlison open the scoring against his former team and he didn't celebrate the stunning goal, rather he apologized with his hands crossed to his chest and his teammate, Heung-Min Son double the scoring and they're 2-0 up. Tottenham Hotspur headcoach, Ange Postecoglou is happy with the result and he will vouch for another goal and that's one of the good starts to get back in the top four race this season.
I'm really disappointed with how Everton has been playing in this game, their performance is ok but they've had several opportunities in the game to score but failed, which they could have used to turn this game into a 2-2 draw. Had they scored their first goal earlier before now when they still have time in their favor, At this juncture there's nothing they can do right now and likely they 3 points is going Tottenham's way.
Everton could have really ended that game with a stalemate draw because Tottenham Hotspur were so terrible in the second half but they woke up from their slumber too late when time wasn't anymore on their side. The second half later turned out to be a nervous half for both teams. Tottenham had a great defence in that game which was very fantastic in denying Everton from putting the game to a draw. At the end the match actually ended 2:1 in favour of the home team Spurs.

In that game between Liverpool vs Arsenal, arsenal are already leading in that game with an early goal scored by Gabriel within  4 minutes of play. I look forward to see much more goals flying in in this game from both teams cause definitely Liverpool are going to score back but will they win or draw this game is what I don't know.
532  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: December 23, 2023, 12:00:32 PM
I didn't know their game.  I am very excited about the match between Liverpool and Arsenal that will be played today.  Arsenal is a very good team and on the other hand their opponent Liverpool is very good.  So there will be a lot of hard work in this match  The match is likely to be a draw, but if any team wins it can be Arsenal but Liverpool cannot be excluded from the possibility of winning.  That is why I am very excited about this match.  And I think this match will give us a lot of joy
The Liverpool vs Arsenal match is going to be the toughest match in all today's EPL fixtures  which is mostly likely to be a draw match but with goals that will follow as the both teams are well known for scoring goals in many of their games this season. Arsenal have not lost a game in the EPL  this season and they will be playing tough on this game to make sure the Liverpool don't truncate that record today as a draw will be well appreciated because Liverpool is another big team that's basking in the race only lost one match this season against Tottenham.
533  Economy / Gambling / Re: What do you want to see in casino reviews? on: December 22, 2023, 09:55:48 PM
Well, for me, I like reviews when they are completely natural, natural in the sense that the review site owners write their own short review, then allow the users of casinos to write their own personal reviews progressively as things change and they gain new experiences playing on that same casino.
I totally agree with you on this about how a sincere review with integrity about a casino can be made without bias and sentiments. Because as far as am concerned casino paid reviews has some bias in it and lacks absolutely sincerity but when there's no payment attached to the reviews done but that users out of their own volition without pay decides to drop a review it will reduce the bias (unwarranted praises and shortsightedness) and sentiments that come with paid reviews. It will rather come natural in this regard.
534  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Casino games and the house edge : Players odds to win? on: December 22, 2023, 08:59:29 PM
I remember enquiring to the customer service of one of the crypto-casinos years ago about the house edge for some of their slot-type game (if I remember correctly) and not only the customer service could not give me an answer - they didn't even know what the house edge was.
I bet you mate they know, oh yes the customer service correctly have an idea of the house edge but only pulled up that professional stunt to  dodge from giving you the answer you seek. It could be that the ratio of their house edge could be so discouraging for any gambler to believe that they can stand a chance if they should have knowledge of it. What I think every gambler should be doing is observing how much you lose on a particular game of a casino despite all manner of strategies used, in that way you can judge for yourself if the odds of winning in terms of the house edge is actually fair or not.

My people says where you work is where you eat, so I guess that's what miners are enjoying at this time with the bitcoin transaction fee hike, nothing anyone will tell me if you were in those miners shoe you will love it too, the sad part is about those of us trying to invest in the small ways we can, transfer is eating almost a 45% of each little transfer of our DCAing and it's becoming discouraging, high investor will not feel it but we do and we hope something is done about it ASAP.

Don't be blended by love as a young person, their are times that love won't be enough to run a home and that's when factors like your financial strength can come through for you.
Op does it mean that men without money are not eligible to marry because from what you're saying it is like being financially bouyant is the bedrock or a strict criterion for getting married as a man. If you don't have money don't marry cause you'll be making mistake doing that.

Being financially buoyant in marriage will even help you love your partner better so try and use your head.
I dismiss this ideology to not be as true as many people do think. It is well known that men that has money as in rich men tend to have side chicks/concubines  as they believe they can fend for all their needs, it is rather the poor that love their wife's more better as they don't have money to massage their ego of fending for extra marital expenses so they stick all their love to their wife only.
540  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Introducing bitcoin to the orphans on my birthday on: December 21, 2023, 03:47:52 PM
If we're talking about charity any form of genuine act of charity without a hidden motive of interest should be one directed to the orphanage home as they are a people helpless and lacking of many privileges that we are privilege to enjoy. Children in orphanage homes are exceptionally excited whenever they receive a visit from those outside their condition as they feel a sense of belonging as they are being visited with food items giving them hope that their next meal is sure, and adding the introduction of bitcoin to your visit is what I would describe as feeding their soul too with knowledge that can take them out of a less privilege class to a well privilege strata. Weldone op, you've done well and your move is worth emulating.
