521  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Bitcoin price speculation (BTC/NGN) on: February 25, 2024, 08:14:20 AM
Currently the price of dollar to NGN is below N1600 it was struggling to maintain that yesterday and earlier this morning but it end up settling at N1610 to N1620 as of the time I made the comment yesterday and today we can see dollar to NGN at N1590 which make BTC to NGN at N80,665,000 which have dropped down compare to yesterday but the price for BTC to USDT still have added little value.

We bless God for the decrease. If the price keep on reducing, hopefully before the end of next month the price of naira to dollar would drop to 1k to $1, and the hike in price of things in the market would come down a bit. But this country could be funny most times, even if the buying price reduces because of greed some person can still sell for inflation price. However if the dollar to naira rate reduces is and advantage for the country as the price of thing will begin to reduce uniformly, so let's pray it get better than this.
522  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is your view and your opinion about Ethereum? on: February 25, 2024, 08:06:55 AM
It very obvious that Ethereum is following after the price movement of Bitcoin, so anyone who invest in Ethereum will as well reap a profiting investment as those into are into Bitcoin investment. This analysis is good but and that is because Ethereum over the years has gained enough reputation being the second most trusted coin in the market is a lot for someone to have it for a long term trade. However I still prefer sticking with Bitcoin investment.
523  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: should i invest in new project? on: February 25, 2024, 07:56:47 AM
hello everyone
i hope you all are doing great I noticed many times the crypto project according to some events always grow like in last few days the project on metaverse is really trending everyone join these projects and everyone makes good profit just because Facebook talks about the metaverse. According to this analysis there is a project named Valentine.finance on BSC and they will be launch on 14th of Feb means on valentine's day and i guess due to project nature there is a chance to earn handsome profit so i a thinking to participate in their presale but i am afraid of losing money.so I need suggestions may be you guys know better than me. i also share whitepaper and website link
Whitepaper: https://valentine.finance/whitepaper.pdf
Website: https://valentine.finance/

Whether you invest in new project or old project, it all depends on you. But the most important fact is that you are responsible for any financial decisions you make. Before you consider any coin for investment the best thing to do is to DO your own research (DYOR). These days we get lots of hype from the social media and we can't tell for such which one is correct or not but if you do some research you might be able to get some clue on understanding the right coin for investment.
524  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can Anyone +18 Play Gamble? on: February 25, 2024, 07:51:19 AM
In my own opinion, as long as you have attained the age of 18+ you are qualified to become a gambler, so it left for you to decide whether you would love to gamble or not. Because at that age range you are responsible for any kinds of action you take and you'll pay for the consequences be it good or bad. But if KYC get introduce into online casino such that all casino start doing KYC you observe that most users are also underaged who got exposed to gambling earlier.
525  Other / Off-topic / Re: Keeping your gambling habit a secret. on: February 25, 2024, 07:22:03 AM

That's right, luck is only temporary, the essence of gambling is losing money, therefore we as gamblers must always be careful in every action we take. and I agree with you that what differentiates fellow gamblers is self-control and the actions they take. If he is in good control then he is a responsible gambler, whereas if he is out of control then he is a gambling addict. And it is true that it would be better if we covered up our gambling activities to other people because it is not certain that other people will be able to accept our activities.

It very funny how most persons think they'll become rich through gambling, unknown to them that they are just setting a basic foundation for addiction. Gambling is a game of give and take, but if you get this interpretation wrong, you might end up addicted or quitting the game. Some persons join the gambling community through ads on social media and some apps, were they hype the winning accuracy of any participate, but funny enough when they begin to gamble they have a different experience other than what they saw on the ads.
526  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: From the arrest of BDC operators to Binance and other crypto manipulating on: February 25, 2024, 07:13:44 AM
As the days go by, it becomes clearer and clearer that some of our leaders just assume things without them knowing the basic of how things operate. Even if they successfully destroy the BDC rates how about the CBN rates? Currently the CBN rate of dollar to naira is 1488 per dollar isn't that sti high? It's a shame we have illiterate as our leaders. You can imagine what Mr bayo was saying, when crypto was banned in the country did the dollar to naira rate not increase? I remember clearly in 2020 a dollar to naira was 360 in the month of July and after the restriction till now it has grown to 4x it price rate then when compared with CBN rate, and yet they still think the problem behind this inflation is the crypto network.
527  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling should be play with care on: February 25, 2024, 06:09:16 AM
There's no such thing about unlimited fund on which there would really be those rich people who do end up on being a homeless person because of too much engagement and spending with gambling.

Indeed there is no such thing as unlimited fund, and I could remember clearly that I didn't mention anything like unlimited fund. No matter the amount of money one has, if you mismanages it, it will finish before you can even realize you have been wasting it all. My point is, those who have suffered in gathering their money to make a life for them selves and their generations would hardly fall for gambling addiction when compared to the poor, because of the kind of discipline it take for one to start from the root and then be considered a wealthy person.
528  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: The Advantages of Bitcoin [A decentralized digital currency] on: February 25, 2024, 05:59:02 AM
All what you have said is true apart from the transparency. To me I see transparency as not an advantage rather a disadvantage. Because it makes Bitcoin transaction not private and secured. Most transaction people do are traced down to the recipient wallet through blockchain. and such wallet can be monitored. I think this aspect of transparency should have been like banking system where  no body can use your account number to check who sent you money. But cryptocurrency is a reverse case. Just like example in this forum many people had problem because of their wallet address which was traced down to the bottom. So it possesses the character of risk. although it has advantages in some side and also disadvantages. But I feel the disadvantage is more than advantage.

To you it might not stand as an advantage but in so many ways it's an advantage to the system. With all the claims that Bitcoin or crypto is a standard system for running fraud one could easily track a hackers transaction movement using the Blockchain and if possible the hacker could be caught.  just like the case we had in Nigeria were an aspirant to the position of a governor of River State( Wilfred bones) was arrested due to a cyber attack on patricia.
Link: https://www.thecable.ng/police-arrest-former-governorship-candidate-over-n607m-patricia-cyber-attack/amp
However if it wasn't the transparency of the Blockchain network they wouldn't have caught him. same with the case we had in this forum that lead to the banning of mix..s. the transparency of the Blockchain to playing a vital role in fishing out frauds from the system.
529  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Bitcoin core team members on: February 25, 2024, 05:39:19 AM
Though e dey possibility say everybody just talk for phone or through social media without them getting to know each other, because  at first Satoshi fit even dey pay some of them to work on em project and then still promise dem some kinds of benefits, who knows??? Money fit make you work under person wey you nor know as long as say you dey collect your normal, today for GitHub you go meet lots of developers and open source codes wey developer dey use to create some software for free sef. And you fit even pay person to make you software as long as you give am your descriptions.

Reason why I believe say these people sef fit no know Satoshi na because, the pressure for them to reveal the real Satoshi too much, Dem supposed to don burst em identity if to say dem know am one on one. E no get as e wan be if you tell any person classified information and e tell the next person, na so e go move thinking say na secret but almost everybody don here am finish. If e no take time, em family members sef fit no even know say na em be Satoshi.
530  Local / Off-topic (Naija) / Re: Emergency funds is vital. on: February 25, 2024, 05:14:33 AM
As an investor, if you consider making provision for emergency funds, you see how smooth your accumulation journey would go especially if you're using the DCA strategy for accumulating more Bitcoin. Any emergency that pops up from no where you know you have the finance to settle it without disturbing your investment. One important thing we must understand is that, discipline is a characteristic that we must not joke with. The moment you start running back to your investment due to emergency issues, you're just admitting that your investment in is trouble.
531  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Bitcoin price speculation (BTC/NGN) on: February 25, 2024, 05:03:11 AM
I am speculating that it will go back up, reaching N2000 per dollar. It might be a sad story since i have so many friends and family that have been going through a lot because of the price of goods and services as a result of the dollars increase

Irrespective of the fact that some of us are beneficiaries of this increase in dollar over naira, due to the fact that we have most of our assets in Bitcoin and other crypto like USDT, I'm still not satisfied with the dollar increase over the Naira because we have lots of individual who are suffering from this rapid increase, even our very close relations are going through a lot this period due to the hike in price of everything in the market. The percentage of persons not into crypto or those not earning in dollar are much higher than those who are into crypto, so lets pray things get better than this.
532  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling should be play with care on: February 25, 2024, 04:52:34 AM
No matter how much money a person has, and no matter how huge his bankroll are, gambling could still be a bad idea. Just because a person is very wealthy doesn't mean that they have unlimited resources and even people that are rich could for some reason, end up making very poor financial decisions that'll really affect their finances in a very bad way. Rich or poor, huge bankroll or small, the risk of getting addicted to gambling is very real for everyone, regardless of their financial status.
In one way, it may appear that the risks of gambling addiction might be worse for rich people because they have even more to risk and more to lose that the poor, and they can easily fall into depression if their gambling gets out of hand and they end up losing a great chunk of their wealth.

Those who are wealthy are sometimes considered as those who found some hidden life facts, so in essence they can be considered smarter than the poor. Before I proceed, how often have do you hear of a wealthy person who became broke because of gambling addiction? They are very sensitive about things that would get them broke. Just like I said earlier what a wealthy person might use for gambling, to the poor it's a huge amount but to him it's considered a penny leaving his pocket.
533  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: A lot of gambling sites are scams ! on: February 25, 2024, 04:38:10 AM
Does that mean the website where you made the deposit is a cloned site of 1xbet? 1xbet is a very popular gambling site,

Yes it is, and with the way they designed the cloned site, it would be hard for you to tell that it is a clone. Some scammers are becoming very smart and innovative, I believe they spent enough time and efforts making such site and if anyone mistakenly fall, your money is gone forever. Assuming I encountered any error while using the clone site I would have observe quickly but everything went smooth as though I was using the main site except after I made the deposit. And I'll like to advice that you should avoid redirected pages as most of them are just hand work of scammers/hackers looking for any useful information to steal.
534  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: A lot of gambling sites are scams ! on: February 24, 2024, 08:56:43 PM
Reading the op, I thought he would point out his claims that says lots of gambling sites are scam, but he only talked about Lossing a bet as a scam activity of a gambling site. Loosing of bets are normal to every kind of casino, both those that are trusted and have gained enough reputation. Except maybe you're referring to clone scam of online casino, because I have encountered one before. At my Early stage of accessing online gambling I tried making deposit to a 1xbet account I created a minute ago and immediately I made the deposit, I got logged out and when I tried using my login details it kept telling incorrect password, and before then I saved the password to my goggle on purpose. After encountering this, it became clear to me that it was a cloned site scam.
535  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Who's winning more casinos or gamblers? on: February 24, 2024, 08:35:37 PM
It is very obvious that casinos are in the winning part, because if they were losing from the business, they would have probably quite the business. But as long as they keep on expanding the business, that truly mean only one thing, and that is they are making lots of profit from gamblers. No matter how much you win from a bet you can't possibly empty their account. Just as the op stated, you are only taking your wining from other people's loss, so the casino is not affected by your winings.
536  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Making too many picks reduces chances of winning. on: February 24, 2024, 07:52:12 PM
Most time when making a bet we make selection of fewer games and yet the results turns out to be lost, how much more if we make the selections more than the usual? Though some person get lucky to win even with more selections but having fewer games with good stake has higher probability of you winning the bet than having more selection with very small stake. Sometimes even games with 1.0 odd becomes a lost bet and that's one of the reason gambling is basically a game of luck.
537  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Seeking Advice ‼️ on: February 24, 2024, 07:27:47 PM
Splitting you investment at this point isn't what you should be really thinking, so I prefer going all in to a coin and this should be a very reputable coin like Bitcoin. or you could at least you up to 95% on Bitcoin and the rest can be used to gamble maybe you could be lucky enough to earn high.

Most importantly you should know your way in holding your coin be security conscious by using a good wallet.

Security are very vital part in cryptocurrency that shouldn't be ignored, because the moment you become careless with your seed phrase by letting it fly through the internet you might end up in regrets if you're not fast enough to move your coins to a more secure wallet address. Investment 95% in Bitcoin is a good idea since it's a reputable coin and predictions says it's gonna rise more than the previous ATH before the halving and then rise towards $150k after the halving and price correction, but you'll have to exercise patience to reap such harvest.
538  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The future of cryptocurrency. on: February 24, 2024, 07:14:03 PM
Just looking at the wave of cryptocurrency and going with the rate of adoption, where do you all see the future of cryptocurrency in the next 20years or more from now. Are transactions going to be more of in cryptocurrency than fiat in all ramifications of society as it concerns finance?

It obvious that cryptocurrency is growing day by day, and we have more person beginning to learn and adopt a coin. But I can't say for sure that crypto would be more traded than fiat currencies in the next couple of years because, most Civilization has refused to adopt crypto and 90% of the time, it's the government who has compelled its citizens to keep off crypto trade or any activity in regards to cryptocurrency. And if a citizen tries to go against the will of the government it could lead to punishments like blocking of your banking service.
539  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Bitcoin price speculation (BTC/NGN) on: February 24, 2024, 06:35:16 PM

Na the joy of every Bitcoin holder to see the price as e rise like this, and we dey even dey hope to see the price to continue to rise pass like this sef. Though some predictions dey wey dey talk say e go rise pass the ATH before the halving but I nor dey too put mind for all those predictions because many of them na just meer guesses. For the passed one week the price of Bitcoin just dey waka from $50k to $52k which means e still dey on a sideways trend. Maybe after now e go enter small bullish or bearish trends, but based on history, na bullish trend naim dey happen before every halving.
540  Local / Off-topic (Naija) / Re: Newbies make una stop those off topic posts ASAP on: February 24, 2024, 05:27:48 PM
I gave you my last merits because your OP thread is also what makes us to know that we aren't here to play as this is not a medium for fun or making trashy posts.
I have seen this post more like 5 times but hasn't read whole article but when I come across bit today I just feel to read the whole writings and I get to know that what you are saying are what is making our local board divide into various parts whereby some are posting trashy posts and many are posting quality post with good contents on it.
Whit this post a newbie can know that he should improve their posting patterns from low quality to higher and higher qualities and that will make the person grow in any ranks of his/her choice.
@igebotz just did a wonderful job by creating the spam reporting thread and since then there have been a very big change in our local board,, thanks @igebotz.

Some persons dey forget say this forum no be like other regular social media platforms wey you fit talk anything wey your brain just think. We no come here to play oo, na why we must key into wattin the forum wants from us, now the new trend of shitpost wey dey reign naim be this inflation talk about Dollar gaining value over the Naira. Wattin dey bad if una just make all the comments for one thread? Some person dey act smart to create catching topic for this same matter but the body of the thread na just desame thing. I just wan remind una say, eyes dey watch una oo, after we don agree to make the board a better place una still dey go ahead to dey post rubbish, wattin pain me pass na say some full members sef still join wey dey this things and this na people wey don stay the forum pass 6 months. Truth of the matter na be say, you just dey reduce the reputation of your account.

You wey know the value of this forum, you no suppose let person advice you before you do the right thing
