522  Economy / Services / Re: Monbux's FREE Escrow Services | Non-IPO's: FREE | IPO's: 2% | Security Upgrade on: October 20, 2014, 02:11:52 AM
I used monbux for escrow on a .11 trade. He was very professional and efficient. I would certainly use him again.
523  Economy / Services / Re: BiPolarVPN - Free VPN service! on: October 19, 2014, 11:54:16 PM
This is a very interesting venture to be getting into. I was not aware that you had networking type knowledge that allows you to run a VPN like this (I only though your expertise was bitcoin purchased gift cards LOL).

I already have a VPN that is paid for and will last another ~10 months or so, therefore I will not be needing your services, however i will certainly be interested to see how this turns out.

I do hope/think that you have good intentions with this service, however I do know that users will need to trust you a lot if they are using your VPN service.

This guy is unprofessional and a total waste of time.

I pm'ed him to buy some of his accounts, and he spent an entire hour negotiating some £40 pound deal as if it were a £2million pound deal.

If I were you, I wouldn't bother contacting him.

He doesn't have any people skills or manners, and is to be avoided at all costs.

if you want to do serious business there are a bunch of other sellers that you can deal with.

this guy will only waste your time

I would see the above post as I have already provided a rebuttal. He is wanting to see the names of accounts prior to agreeing to buy them which would cause them to decrease in value as it would expose them to receiving negative trust. He also asked what my best price would be, I gave it to him and told him what it would be, and to contact an escrow provider of his choice if he agreed. He then contacted an escrow provider with a lower price that had not been agreed to previously.
525  Economy / Digital goods / Re: [WTB] Bitcointalk forum accounts on: October 19, 2014, 10:00:13 PM
I wanted to give an update to my dealing with the OP. He recently PM'ed me asking me what my best rate for 6 Jr members would be, and a set of conditions for the sale. I replied saying what my best price would be and gave a counter to what he was asking for conditions of sale and to contact as escrow provider if he agreed.

He then contacted a trusted escrow with different conditions and a lower price then what I had agreed to. He told the both of us that was the terms that he was interested in pursuing. I would give him negative trust however I think posting in his thread will be more effective.

EDIT: the OP has told me that he is just going to wait for his "regular seller" who "has not logged in for two days" who is able to sell him 6 Jr members for .15 so it does not appear that he is in the market to try to scam, err buy from sellers anymore.
526  Economy / Invites & Accounts / Re: [WTB] Hero member account. avatar and signature is a must on: October 19, 2014, 04:38:23 PM
Wow accounts are worth over 1BTC? What is my account worth just out of curiosity? (I would never sell it though).

There is so many seller who selling Hero account above 1 BTC.
So same with your account worth around 1 BTC.

P.S. But you have very good trust feedback so may be someone will give you 2 BTC because of your feedback.
Even without the positive trust his account would probably fetch closer to 1.3 - 1.5 range if he would be willing to wait for the right buyer. Probably more if he waited a month or two to get activity solidly above 500. With the positive trust it would probably go for a little bit more but not 1 more, maybe .5 to .75 more

What do you think my account is worth?

(Not that I would sell it.)
It really depends on how long you are willing to wait for a buyer (if you were selling it). The fact that you have more then 800 activity means you could become legendary at any time. I would say that you could get in excess of 3 btc if you were willing to wait for someone who wants a very high activity account. If you are desperate for money and need to sell right away then you would probably get much less potentially getting offers in the .5 to 1 range.

What does "becoming legendary" represent?

(Sorry if that's a stupid question, haven't used the forum in awhile)
The legendary rank is a new rank that occurs "randomly" (there is a calculation to figure out when your specific account will become legendary, but I am not 100% sure on how exactly to calculate it) between 780 and 1030 (?) activity. A legendary account would likely be worth more then a hero account with the same activity ranking.

He's been gone for a couple weeks at a time before, I wouldn't worry about it. Hopefully he'll show up soon though, I haven't seen him in #bitcoin-otc for awhile either.
He has been logging in pretty frequently, however just not posting.

BiPolarBob has not posed in some time now, nor has he logged in for ~4 days. Is he still with us or has he moved on to some other forum?

*waits for someone to start complaining how they sent bob 100btc for a too good to be true deal and got nothing  Cheesy*

Maybe he got banned again? Did he do another giveaway?
I don't think he did another giveaway.

All his deals have been public, so such a claim would easily be verified if true or not, plus the amounts he deals with are much less then 100 btc

I don't think he necessarily needs to continue to give away (almost) free things, (some people would certainly like it if he did) although I think he should still try to be active in the community if he can.

Yes, it is a good time to remove them from the table. The first payment has been scheduled for yesterday.
A day late is almost normal. I will remove them if nothing has happened in the next two days.
The OP has not logged in over the past 2+ weeks, they refused to escrow and were running a HYIP/ponzi.

The payment is now ~72 hours late (was due on the 15th, and it is now the 18th).

Sending out payment to all Staff that have Pmed me. I'm considering re-opening this campaign in the very near future with fixed rates.
It looks like the PD campaign may be coming back in one form or another
534  Economy / Digital goods / Re: [WTB] Bitcointalk forum accounts on: October 17, 2014, 07:15:36 PM
FYI to potential sellers - the OP is asking to be able to view accounts prior to buying them. This is a huge risk as it will potentially expose your accounts to receive negative trust.

Miscellaneous: Only 10 spots, No negative trust,At least SENIOR Member status,At least 300 posts have been made by your account, Must keep your signature in for the whole two week period, or you will be disqualified

hyip site with no escrow

All in a self moderated thread, for a service offering up to 16% daily returns. This won't last long. And the OP is a hero member here, which makes it even stranger.

Could be a purchased account. This is one of the reasons i do not believe that people should be allowed to sell accounts. Normal folks like you and me will look at the rep or member level and our trust increases. HYIP schemes are still ok, most people know they are scams, but slow cons could be drawn using these accounts that have been purchased and most people would be none the wiser Sad
You should not trust someone differently because they are speaking behind a higher level account. If you have really been here since May 2014 then you should well know this by now.

Also you are saying that HYIP schemes are okay but it is not okay for a hero account to launch one because it is a scam Huh You are contracting yourself.

These HYIP scams should be banned from bitcointalk. If mods are not doing anything about it. It is time for some trusted members to give the two HYIP campaigns some negative red trust.
Potential scams are not moderated and this is a policy of the forum. If a HYIP somehow could legit make the kind of returns it promises then they would be censored for no reason (the chances of this actually happening are slim to none)
