Happy TECH Tuesday everybody. Today I'm proud to announce a major milestone in the rebuilding of TechCoin. We are releasing v1.1.4 of the wallet, which finally fixes the syncing issues that have been plaguing the wallet since the v1.0.2 update. The wallet will now sync from scratch without having to download and manually apply the blockchain. The local blockchain can also be resynced at any time to validate it without generating errors. This is an important day for the future growth of TECH. Now that we have resolved a major technical issue (one that was flagged as EXTREME in our review from earlz), we can divert our focus to development. Next on our plan is another wallet redesign, one where we can add more tabs to integrate lots of useful features, things to encourage community members to leave their wallets open and staking. Update: CoinGecko has added TECH, after our request last month. Although most of the info used is old & outdated, we're still glad to see it added. We will be contacting them again, asking them to update it with the correct info. Due to the entire points system being on the activity & developments of the coin, should bring TECH up as we continue to built on all aspects around TECH. As stated many times, I'm a hardware guy (Technically Speaking - Little Knowledge in/is Everything) & doing RnD on all new devices. That is actually brilliant Think future, what could FIRE really achieve? As someone who keeps up to date with all the new innovation in crypto, FIRE could become a very useful (software program) in the future. Just depends on what the community wants it to evolve into, fully understand it has to start somewhere & just want to see it get past the "coin" behind every name P.S. Main reason for the amature idea (photos via past post) of promoting small fire safety items , dream innovation & it may actually be useful All new coins (software programs) are testing & when the time is right, many will follow the same implementations. Remembering the few "coins" in the past starting for firefighters, wouldn't mind seeing some innovation put forth in that direction. Just watching & waiting to see what the community, developers watching do with this coin  |

I would also like to add, there's a multipool being watched & it's still being updated. Watching the github on it for weeks now, see many new improvements & options for TECH to have its own multipool (not a 3rd party one). Helping to create another way to build upon TECH, only thing is it'll need to be a full time thing (watching it 24/7) & we currently don't have enough of a team yet to complete this task (in due time).

Would be interesting to figure out which addresses are held at exchanges (could probably look at our INPUTS to determine that) because... Add another 3.6M that we have acquired since asking that it be re-enabled in Bittrex and https://doabitofgood.com continues to be the #1 holder of Givecoin 1.0 We promise to use our power only for good :-) -dvd Check into a 3rd party block explorer, you could see quite a few things with the right ones. The cost to get Give listed on one of the top-notch explorers is well worth it, might show the community you're using Give power for good causes? It's almost a must now in crypto to have one, but some coins are still working with the DOS mode ABE explorers (making it tough to donate or invest) & some are venturing into their own custom designed block explorers |

wallet not sync. running 1.1. delete all from app data except wallet.dat. keep getting stuck at 3 even shows 8 connections.
is any fix?
Tiger, please download the blockchain from the github (link in OP) and manually copy it to app data. You can also use the .msi installer which will automatically copy it for you. There were two variables changed at block 5087 that are preventing the wallet from syncing from scratch. Fixing this is our top coding priority but this workaround will get you synced up in the meantime. Great support, was in the middle of giving some support on the question & you have already replied Edit: Looking through github for an easy to work with game, something fun for all ages (possible wallet add-on). Great way to utilize the wallet when staking, prefer a game that people could play in their free time. Whether it be a quick 15 second play or hours of playing rounds/levels, may take me some time to find one & will keep searching. |

I pointed some hash and adjusted my username and its accepting, but it wasn’t perfectly clear if I needed to do anything more, other than wait for a PM. is this right? tx
Yes (development donation pool & not a multipool, but we are still working on adding one), send a PM with the password you would like to view it with. You'll be able to login & see the live hashrate, but it's only working for Gh/s at the moment & they just added the multipool/Scrypt side. |
