521  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: February 29, 2024, 04:51:39 PM
In PSL, the match between Karachi Kings and Quetta Gladiators, KK posted a target of 166 runs for QG. Karachi batters were not able to convert their start into a fifty. Each player chipped in for a few runs. KK should try some young talent in their playing 11 because the majority of their batters are too old for T20. Spinners are getting good help from the pitch, and the chase will be interesting. QG are 34/0 in 3 overs, and if Jason Roy stays at the crease for another 5 to 10 overs, the game will be over for KK.

Karachi Kings did not play well against Islamabad United in the previous match. They lost mainly because of the poor performance of the batsmen. The team had given a target of 170 runs. A collection of 169 runs was not enough to win on such a batting friendly pitch.

Karachi batsmen could not bat well in today's match against Quetta Gladiators. Karachi team has given a target of 166 runs today. And beating Quetta Gladiators in this target is even more difficult. Because Gladiators' batting order is very strong. They have some T20 specialist batsmen like Jason Roy, Sharfaraz, Rutherford and Rossouw.

Quetta Gladiators team collected 69 runs after losing 1 wicket after 8 overs. Jason Roy is batting well. The team needs 97 runs off 72 balls to win. It doesn't look like it will be difficult for Gladiators to collect 97 runs.

(...) But now, when bitcoin did not increase in price as people expected, they started to feel sad and disappointed. (...)

-.-

But if you mean unrealistic expectations of some people that Bitcoin would skyrocket to the moon on the day the SEC approves spot ETFs - those hopes were quite silly to begin with. ETFs will have a positive effect on the price (or at least in theory - they should) but a bit more time is required.
The current rally is said to be a result of very high demand and volume of the ETFs, so it could turn out to have a stronger effect than the upcoming halving.

Anyhow, we're less than 5% away from $60k so it's very possible we can hit that by the end of Feb.

This is what I want to say because in the early stages when the ETF was approved and bitcoin did not immediately increase in price as many people expected. They keep whining and being disappointed that the price of bitcoin didn't go up right after the ETFs were approved and it's really funny. Any catalyst takes time to impact bitcoin whether it is an ETF or halving but most people willfully refuse to understand that. Everyone wants bitcoin to grow quickly according to their wishes. I bet you that after the halving we will continue to see those complaints repeated, "why doesn't bitcoin increase in price immediately after the halving..."  Cheesy Cheesy

I agree with you, the current recovery and price increase is due to the impact of the ETF, not the impact of the halving, but many people will disagree with this because they think that the ETF is nothing. But if they follow the daily inflows into the market through bitcoin ETFs, they will understand why bitcoin prices are rising.
523  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will BTC hit 1M ? on: February 29, 2024, 03:38:36 PM
Bitcoin rose from under $1 to $69k without any approval or legal tender from the government. So on what basis do you think that whether bitcoin reaches 1 million USD or not depends on the government? Governments are indeed the biggest barrier slowing the spread of bitcoin, but they are not the main factor or catalyst that helps bitcoin value increase. Bitcoin once rose to $69k from zero without the government, it will be able to do it again to reach $1 million without government help. If bitcoin receives support from the government, it will help bitcoin reach $1 million faster, but if not, bitcoin reaching $1 million will still happen over time.
Bitcoin reaching one million per coin will happen at some point on the future, what we do not really know is when it will happen and the circumstances surround it at the time.

Besides while reaching such a milestone will be important, just as reaching five figures was during the 2017 bull run, at the same we must not content ourselves with bitcoin just reaching the price level, as I think it is way more important for bitcoin to remain above that level, and that will take longer than just reaching it.

If demand for bitcoin increases steadily, it is only a matter of time before it reaches $1 million, and it is normal for it to remain above $1 million or higher as long as demand for it remains . But what I want to say here is that I disagree when he says that whether bitcoin reaches 1 million USD or not depends on the government . That's not entirely true, the value of bitcoin will depend on our demand and the government cannot stop the demand for bitcoin. If they could stop bitcoin, they would have done it a long time ago, not wait until now .

Is Graham Potter actually a candidate for being the new coach of Manchester United?

Quote
Erik ten Hag's future at Manchester United is becoming increasingly uncertain ahead of the summer.

United are currently in sixth place in the Premier League table but are eight points adrift of fourth-placed Aston Villa in the table. Saturday's 2-1 loss to Fulham was the 15th defeat in all competitions for the Reds this season, a statistic that has led to uncertainty around Ten Hag's long-term future at Old Trafford.
Source: https://www.manchestereveningnews.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/manchester-united-next-manager-odds-28710606

Looks like there are a few names involved.
De Zerbi's name is also involved. But there is most chance he is going to join Barcelona in the next season.
Pep Guardiola does not seem to be an option at this moment.
If you ask about Graham Potter, you know he was not very good with Chelsea in my opinion. But could he make a difference with Manchester United?

I personally don't think it is going to be a great option. If they can get a really good coach like Zidane or maybe even Xabi Alonso, they could have brought better results in my opinion. But the thing is, is Ten Hag actually leaving after this season?
525  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2023/24 on: February 28, 2024, 03:55:23 PM

Of course that's the only way for Girona to totally secure the second position of the league table only if they can be more consistent enough to win all there upcoming matches because right now they are on a very tight position with Barcelona and any mistake of losing any matches could course the team the second position, so in terms like these the only prayer of the both side is for the other to lose match so that they can have more points over them. Considering there upcoming matches I think Barcelona is more on a difficult situation than Girona because they will be meeting Athletic Club on there next match and in as much as Athletic Club may have not gotten to the position Barcelona is but there performance is very impressive so I doubt if Barcelona will be able to win them because if they can draw there match against Granada that's currently at the relegation Area of the league table there chances of wining Athletic club is very low, so if they mistakenly lose or draw there match against Athletic club then Girona will be a bit far ahead of them on the league table.
-snip

Real Madrid leads the standings with a gap of 6 points from Girona, 8 points from Barcelona and 13 points from Atletico Madrid. The title race doesn't look interesting because Real Madrid's chances are much higher than the other 3 teams. Girona and Barcelona can still hope, but as long as Real Madrid's performance remains consistent then nothing will change until the end of the season.

Yes, I agree with you, Barcelona has the chance and they could be able to decrease the point difference.

If we talk about their last match, you know Barcelona absolutely destroyed Getafe. I really like how the attacking side worked for Barcelona. Now it is clear that the defense of Getafe was pretty bad. They were making mistakes like Harry Maguire to be honest.
And my whole credibility about judging the defense is me playing FIFA Grin. And even I can say that the defense was pretty bad.

Anyway, come to the point Barcelona took full advantage of that and got four goals. They definitely looked unstoppable in that match. But the problem is Barcelona will have to replicate this performance again and again also like the Getafe match they have to find out the opponent's weakness. Otherwise, they are definitely going to lose the La Liga title. And by the looks of it, they might be already out of the competition, as you said Real Madrid has 8 points over them.

Yesterday I made the mistake of not paying close attention when they announced the Manchester City squad that would play, I thought that Manchester City wouldn't play its best players, that's why I didn't put Manchester City in my parlay and I'm very sorry I had I was quick to add my parlay teams without having placed Manchester City because if I had placed Manchester City I would have been able to get a very high odds. But in the end there's no turning back because I've already made my bet. Talking about this Manchester City game, in my opinion it was a game in which Manchester City's dominance was very clear, the opponent did very poorly in defense and Manchester City did very well, especially when they lost Luton's defenders by surprise. the passes to haaland were very precise and behind the backs of Luton's defenders, it's funny that there were more than one goal that was scored with similar scenarios, Luton's defense was unable to correct certain mistakes early

Yes, you should have to choose City,

Manchester City put on a real show in this match for everyone. And let's be honest, it was all Kevin Debruyne and Erling Haaland.

Yes, I also agree with you Luton Town was able to actually get two goals. And I have to say both of them were really good. But as you said the problem is the defense was not good at all from them. And another thing is their goalkeeper has also made mistakes. The goalkeeper got nutmegged twice and conceded goals. Don't you think if he could stop those two, that would still make the final score look a little better? Bad luck for them.

But anyway, Manchester City really did not give any breathing space for the opponent's defenders. The final score was Manchester City 6-2 Luton Town, where Haaland had 5 goals  Cool and Debruyne had a hat-trick of assists!! Shocked Just awesome

Brandon Moreno vs. Brandon Royval - LOST

Yair Rodriguez vs. Brian Ortega - LOST

The event was awful, I still can't believe such bad fights of Moreno and Rodriguez, I was sure at least one of them would win, but to see both of them losing at home was just hilarious. And the worst part is, they were at home, so, the people in the arena got really mad after they lost, they literally started fighting in the stands. https://twitter.com/MMAVillain/status/1761954949897019524

I can't say it is a bad fight, it was a huge fight and it was absolutely crazy bro.
Both of the fighters did not want to give up till the last moment.

Honestly, the fight could have gone either way in my opinion. I do not think I am qualified enough to say that the judges made a mistake. But for me, the fight was very even. Both of them were very active in this fight and both of them used every tool available in their arsenal.

Moreno did miss some really powerful punches in the fourth round if I am not wrong.
If he did connect them, the fight could have been over then and there.

if you look at the scorecard their score are very closed, i can't say it was a bad fight anymore...
528  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Germany League - Bundesliga Prediction Thread on: February 27, 2024, 12:41:52 PM
Bayern Munich are understandably upset with their coach Thomas Tuchel. Thomas Tuchel is not successful with Munich. Bayern Munich probably won't win the Bundesliga title. The team is 8 points behind Leverkusen. Now Bayern Munich is looking for a new coach. I saw a news a while ago that Leverkusen boss Xabi Alonso will not stay with Leverkusen next season. So Xabi's next destination is going to be Bayern Munich?

Alonso now has ‘clear preference’ on next destination after reaching ‘total agreement’

Liverpool and Bayern Munich are interested in Xabi Alonso's squad. As Klopp has already announced that he no longer wishes to stay with Liverpool next season. So Liverpool are looking for an experienced coach. Whether Xabi wants to stay in Germany or take up the new challenge of the Premier League is still uncertain. But I think Xabi is most likely to be seen with Liverpool.

Dani Carvajal's long-term successor? Real Madrid keeping tabs on Sevilla defender Juanlu as they plan for 32-year-old's departure
Real Madrid have identified Sevilla's Juanlu as a potential long-term successor to the ageing Dani Carvajal at right-back.
https://www.goal.com/en-in/lists/dani-carvajal-real-madrid-sevilla-defender-juanlu-plan-departure/blt65e43ed7fca927e8#cs8855c86479958bb8

Seems like Real Madrid is really thinking about the future. and of course that is the right thing to do. but I highly doubt that this guy is actually going to be the successor of Dani Carvajal in Real Madrid.

Don't get me wrong. I know he definitely has a lot of potential, he will have to be trained and nurtured properly. As we all know he is only 20 years old, so he has a lot of time ahead of him. If Real Madrid are actually serious about him, I think they can try to get him and train him for the future.

Actually, we have seen a lot of players being trained by Real Madrid for a long time, and in the end, they became very good players.
Remember Casemiro being in the Real Madrid reserve squad?

I guess getting Juanlu for future is not a bad option.  Smiley

530  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will BTC hit 1M ? on: February 26, 2024, 10:09:19 AM
It will definitely hit 1M, but yes we just don’t know when. It can happen in 1 year or 10 years also. Everything depends on the demand raised by the people to accumulate the coin. Few years back no one thought Bitcoins will cross 1000$, but currently Bitcoins have become the most valuable digital asset. So we just need to keep calm and show faith in the coin. Just accumulate and hold it for few years. Definitely you will see the profits.
Not just about the demand but also depends on the government regulation and I think it will be hard for Bitcoin to reach that level if the government still not accepting it as a legal tender. Well, I’m also positive about the Bitcoin price and I think it can happen in 10 years or more as we are still dealing with so many challenges today, but soon if there’s a limited supply already with Bitcoin, that $1M ceiling price can surely be hit.
Indeed mate that it will be harder fpr bitcoin in increase its value in short time because Government is the main ingredients here for this great currency reaches  7 figures but before that lets look for 6 digits first in which soon to happen at least next year if not happens now.

531  Economy / Speculation / Re: 60k possible before end of this month? on: February 26, 2024, 08:57:40 AM
From the look out of things there is no doubt that $60k is sure before the end of this month February reason being that bitcoin has surpasses the price of 50k and headed to $52k if I am not mistakenly and you can correct me if I am wrong.
Also does this proves the idea of most people saying that bitcoin could hit half a million dollars after the halving by 2025, does this sign proves it right?

Let us discuss.
We are 3 days to go mate and I think we will not get this targeted amount as its even harder for bitcoin now to cross 55k so maybe lets see what happens in April as the halving is expected to happen.
60k in a day!

or not.
I'm afraid it will not !!  Sadly..

I see too many contradictions for a bitcoin investor. I remember when the price of bitcoin dropped, people always shouted that it was a good opportunity for us to accumulate bitcoin before it skyrocketed. But now, when bitcoin did not increase in price as people expected, they started to feel sad and disappointed. Why don't we think positively that the fact that bitcoin has not yet reached 60k USD is a good opportunity for us to continue to accumulate bitcoin? Because if we look in the long term, it is almost certain that bitcoin will exceed 60k$ and once it surpasses 60k$, the opportunity for us to buy cheap bitcoin will no longer exist.

There's nothing sad about bitcoin not reaching $60k this month or next. The sad thing you should think about is that you have too little bitcoin when it reaches 60k$ or not too much bitcoin when it reaches the new ATH. Focusing on accumulating will be better for us instead of sitting and looking at the price of bitcoin every day and hoping it will increase quickly.
532  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Donald Trump's stance on Bitcoin is changing on: February 26, 2024, 08:12:33 AM
ewwwwww. Trump is the most corrupt awful incompetent politician America has ever had. Nobody with any sense of reason or morality supports that terrorist. Him maybe starting to kind of like Bitcoin does absolutely nothing to change absolutely everything else about him. OP, if you don't know anything about Trump please don't post on here like it might be good if he became president again just because he may end up liking bitcoin a little bit.

Anyway, there's a very good chance he'll be spending the rest of his life in prison soon with all the trials going on right now, rather than terrorizing America from the white house. As an American, Trump serving the rest of his life in prison for his many awful crimes against America is the only outcome that would help America regain its standing in the world. Bitcoin will be fine.

Do you think that if he is incompetent and greedy, how can he become president of the United States? Do you think Americans are more stupid than you for choosing a greedy, incompetent person as president? Also, have you achieved any more achievements or successes than him that qualify you to judge him? Are you a billionaire, a politician or does no one know about you?

We're just talking about a former president, a presidential candidate changing his mind about bitcoin. Someone who once hated bitcoin is gradually becoming more bitcoin-friendly. That shows that bitcoin is gradually conquering people around the world. As for whether they are good or bad people, there is a law to judge or if we are better than them, otherwise don't rush to judge someone when we are no one.

Anyone follow the Rio Open?

The final is going to be interesting. I personally did not expect to see Navone in the final, to be honest. Baez should have this. But this is the final and you never know. we might have some kind of surprise. I just hope that the match is not going to be one-sided because that is going to take away all the fun from it. Both Baez and Navone had a pretty confident performance in the semi-finals. so I think they both will be going to the final with a lot of confidence.
You know they will meet tonight on clay surface, on Clay Court Baez's winning rate is 74% whereas Navone's 66% Smiley

Bayer 04 Leverkusen-----Draw-----1.FSV Mainz 05
            1.32                      6                9.40

You know this is literally the first game of the table going up against a team in the relegation zone.
If somehow Mainz can even get 1 point from this match I am going to be pretty impressed.
Or it will have to be a pretty trash performance from Leverkusen.
For me, the result of the match Leverkusen vs Mainz is very clear and no doubt. Leverkusen will play at home, they will have an extra motivation to win the match. There is no way that Leverkusen will miss 3 points because they will play all out. They will secure 3 points to keep the gap with Bayern Munich, Xabi Alonso must order all players to get the advantage playing at home. Moreover, they are playing with a weak team, Mainz is in the relegation zone. It will be a shame if Leverkusen will miss 3 points when they are playing against a weak team at home. Xabi Alonso won't accept a lose or a draw in this match, he must only target for winning the match. Leverkusen is very obvious that they have a better quality of the squad, they are also in a good performance during this season. They have no reason to get a bad result in this match.

Well, I predict that Leverkusen will score 2 goals at least. TBH, I hope Leverkusen will score more than 2 goals. I'll bet a win for Bayer Leverkusen.  Wink

Leverkusen was able to win as expected against Mainz. They were able to break the deadlock from the very start of the match. See them concede in the 7th minute of the match. But in the end, all that matters is that they were able to get the three points. 2-1 is the final score in favor of Leverkusen. It would have been better if they were able to keep a clean sheet.

But at this point, they have a good point advantage over Bayern Munich.  So I believe they should concentrate on getting more points instead of keeping a clean sheet. So I will say that they are moving forward in the right direction.  Right now the point difference with Bayern Munich is 11. Let's see if Bayern Munich can decrease that difference

And I think he will be all right. He was literally spoiled by PSG as they were giving him a lot of money which he may or may not have deserved. That's a conversation for another day. But I think Real Madrid has made the right decision by giving him a contract offer which is not something out of the ordinary.

And if he does not want to join Real Madrid right now, he can always go to Manchester United  Grin
536  Economy / Economics / Re: Why we should prioritize investment over saving on: February 25, 2024, 10:17:47 AM
Easy answer, saving isn't giving you profit, it only gives you the same amount that you can pull out whenever you need it in the future and saving is vulnerable to inflation especially if it's the piggybank kind of savings meanwhile with investing although you're risking the money because it grows or regress depending on the value of the investment but the point of investment is that the savings is growing and giving you a profit so totally agree with prioritizing investment over saving but the only advantage of saving in this comparison is that, you can pull out savings anytime as for investment, either you pull it out prematurely resulting in small profit or loss because you happen to pull out the investment at the time when the value of the investment was tanking or lower than your initial entry to that investment.
Apart from that, saving always has problems with inflation. So, the value of your savings could decrease without reducing the amount. However, with investment, we can generate additional income at any time.
However, I also think that it would be better to prioritize investments because they can be a very good thing when we have entered old age, or perhaps retired. The investments we make today can be a new source of income, and in fact, in many cases, people who focus on investments have much more income from investments than from their main job. However, investing is a very good thing, but we also need to save because we don't want to sell the investments we have when we need money in an emergency. at that time, savings are very necessary.

Saving always has problems with inflation but you also need to know that investing also has risks, you can even lose all your assets if you invest in the wrong field or project. Each has its pros and cons, don't always think that saving is wasteful or not worth doing.

I want to ask you, you invested in bitcoin and your investment is losing 50% and you need money for emergencies. Would you sell your bitcoins and accept a 50% loss in value? Meanwhile, if you have savings, you will be able to handle your emergency situation easily .

Everyone always talks about inflation but do people really understand how inflation happens and how it affects our lives in the short and long term?
537  Economy / Economics / Re: Recession soon? on: February 25, 2024, 09:55:12 AM
Some countries have confirmed they have fallen into recession but that is not the case with every country in the world. According to some information I learned, layoffs and unemployment are not entirely due to the economic recession but are due to changes taking place in the world. I mean technology is evolving and AI is gradually replacing humans in many fields.  There are some theories that: financial reports of corporations and companies show that the company is still bringing in quite stable revenue but at the same time they are looking for ways to reduce personnel. From there, there is a hypothesis that companies are applying technology, robots, and AI to gradually replace workers, not because of the economic recession.
538  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do we even need bitcoin mixers? on: February 25, 2024, 09:43:00 AM

In addition, if owning a large amount of assets is very dangerous for us . So, people with assets up to tens of millions of dollars, billions of dollars still trade on those centralized exchanges. Are they in danger and are they unaware of those dangers? I mean it could still happen but it wouldn't be as severe as you describe.

Whoever keeps millions on a centralized exchange is an idiot, period.

I'm not talking about whether they store their bitcoins on centralized exchanges or not . What I just want to say is that there are many sharks with millions of dollars still using centralized exchanges as a place for trading and liquidity because we all know that only centralized exchanges provide such massive liquidity to the market. And when we use centralized exchanges, it doesn't always put us in danger just because some people know we own bitcoin . I understand that we will definitely lose privacy when using centralized exchanges but there will be no danger like you are mentioning .

Don't get me wrong, I am not advocating or encouraging people to use centralized exchanges because it is everyone's choice but there is not too much danger when using them properly.

539  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: February 24, 2024, 07:53:33 PM

After examining the recent performances of both Arsenal and Newcastle, it is clear that Arsenal is the favorite to win the forthcoming game. This decision is based on Arsenal's excellent recent performance in contrast to Newcastle's dismal recent performances. But football is more than just current performance; it's about calculated plays on the field. Certain teams may be performing poorly against weak opponents yet have clever strategies against stronger opponents. As a result, even though Arsenal seems ready for success given their current course, the result is still unknown.

The outcome of the game could change at any time, depending on a number of variables other than performance metrics. Even though Arsenal obviously wants to win and get three vital points, the final outcome is still up in the air until the final whistle blows. The real result of the contest will become clear over time.

After seen this news i thought Gabriel Jesus is also going to miss the match against Newcastle United. You know he is going to be an important player for Arsenal. I thought without him Arsenal could be face some problem as well.

Fortunately I can see Gabriel Jesus on the line up now, Grin.
Acually Arsenal should be able to perform well enough even without him, however he came back in field means there is no outcome without wining. Wink

I know in the Premier League, he has not been that much useful, to be honest, four goals in 17 appearances.
But in the Champions League, he has been good though. Four goals and 2 assists in 5 matches.  Shocked

But anyway it seems like another easy win for Arsenal.

I don't understand, Why is the Manchester United authority so hellbent on keeping Ten Hag as the coach of Man utd?

They definitely can get a better coach in my opinion. And they should also understand that there are a lot of players that are having problems with him. If only one player had problems with him, it was okay but now it seems like a lot of players have problems with him. First Ronaldo and now we see a lot of players are trying to leave willingly.
