I am slightly confused tho,  Fedex tracking info but the box showed Priority Mail from USPS.  Which was it?

Some sort of hybrid apparently.  I was told the same when I initially ordered mine (I was pushing for Fedex/UPS or DHL for international delivery).

Well done Giga Smiley

I'm sitting in smug land right now Wink

Well, he deserves it there's no question there, but hopefully no "innocents" get taken out in the process.

I would encourage gigavps to start his own thread when he posts next. Call it

"Why I'm cooler than all of you or: how I learned to stop worrying and love the BFL Singles."

<edit> Yeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeehaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaw!

Works for me Cheesy

Right, now that the other thread has been blissfully locked, this is the main thread for the BitForce units.   As mentioned, it'd be nice to get some updated info in the first post, but not the end of the world if it doesn't happen I guess.

Let's try to keep it civil, yeah?

Right, they exist, thread defunct.    How about we move over to the other thread now - https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=60586

I don't like the idea of creating yet another thread, but in this case I think it is probably the best option. It would be nice to have some info on the first post with pictures/performance/probable shipping date/etc. So in my opinion both threads should be locked and someone should start a new one and add some info about the product.

I've sent a message to a mod to have this mess of a thread closed, but if you'd like to start a new one go for it (although perhaps GigaVPS should do it so he can add the photos/video etc).

Does anyone have tracking information, or should i concede?

I wanted to wait until the unicorn single arrived before I said anything but........

Get those bitcoin wallets warmed up. I think there will be some bounties coming my way!

Hehe, well done Smiley  Bit of a longer trip to get here so well deserved to you Smiley   Spend it wisely (on beer and hookers).

I am living in a place with hot climate, expensive rents and high cost of electricity. GPUs at my location are out of the question. FPGAs seem perfect for me. But not with the requirement of 72F.

It's not a requirement.   Sure they'll probably get hot, but so do my GPU's, and they're also noisy, ugly and prone to fan failures.    Sure the fans may eventually fail on the BitForce as well, at which point you go out and buy a new one for a few bucks.  Not quite so easy with a GPU.

Don't stress about the temps.   The forecast where I am is for 30C+ for the next 5 days straight and I'm not even slightly concerned (and there's no aircon in my study).

Hoppers aside, sounds like they fucked up (or perhaps it was intentional) and have been messing with "normal" miners payouts as well.
532  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: PayPal for BTC Exchanger on: February 22, 2012, 02:52:22 AM
dareq, seems all you need to do is accept Yankees offer.   Then you have feedback from a reputable member of this forum, and other people will feel more comfortable dealing with you.

I get that you might not want to deal with him if he's pissed you off or whatever, but really you're just hurting yourself.  It comes across like you have something to hide, which for all we know, you do.

Just deal with Yankee, get some feedback under your belt, and off you go.
533  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Armory Crowdfunding: Get rewards for contributing! on: February 22, 2012, 02:20:38 AM
Looks like a bit of an influx of BTC donations today, so that's nice.   It was at 15BTC this morning, now it's at 50.

EDIT:  Actually, it's more likely that blockexplorer is crapping out again and it just wasn't refreshing properly earlier Wink
534  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Armory: Call for Crowdfunding the Future of Bitcoin on the Desktop! on: February 21, 2012, 11:49:15 PM
Hi etotheipi,

Send you a small donation to your BTC address.  It's not much, but it's also not nothing Wink  (it was all I had in my bitcoinspinner wallet on my phone, I'll send a "proper" donation when I get back to my main PC)

Looking forward to a compiled version for windows to get around the 64/32bit python issues Smiley

Yep, good idea Matthew.

I also have http://bitcoinx.com/charts/ bookmarked which is a really good way to see the "top" current topics.

People keep saying they're a scam and a fraud and it's been proven by a third party that is in fact *not* a fraud.  So quit it with this bullshit.  Quit fucking with every thread where someone wants to discuss technical details because you guys can't get the design process through your thick skulls.

QFT.

Yes, Bitclockers have some explaining to do.
