521  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: An example of why you probably don't want to waste your time on "johnniewalker" on: January 03, 2013, 11:59:51 PM
So tech I have been guilty of this shit with you as well. ofcourse I cannot say I'm like shitty scotch over there makeing shit moves in how he presens his trades.

My 2 cents is when I dealt with you it was kinda scary. I had lost a few coin in a deal prior abd really started to follow the DTA(Don't trust anyone) rule of crypto currency investments abd trades.

I boxed up the silver. had your boxholder info attached and was ready to ship out. I then was sent an email by another fourm.member and BTC-E user who gave me an address with a name attached to it. furthermore he had offered escrow.

instead of saying anything like I should've I just vanished from the deal. Anyway long story short if this young man felt anything like I did. I'm sure the fear was there. and I'm sure it was pretty hardend fear.

your approach seems to be the same with him as it was me. straight to the point. nothing wrong with it by any means. but yes is very easy to say until the conditions are shown.

it has taken me a moment of my time to understand why you do that. I can understand not sending the coin first because hell. some people think they have a mint in silver and they really don't. also if that wher the case in an escrow trade you still pay the fee even if the trade bunks.

I apologize for my deal going nowhere months ago. and hope that maybe this attitude he's shown you is not reflective of who he is. because your right if he is truely just an ass and not truely.scared. that's a problem for this.community NOT a solution
522  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Andrew Bitcoiner / BitJack21 on: January 03, 2013, 09:47:13 PM
If that's all you wher throwing a fot over then I wouldn't have thrown my two cents in. but it isn't you even goto the point of bitching about the laws when someone calls you out on age factor! you have tottaly kissed reason goodbye in this situation. I do hope you manage to squeeze the coin out of him.

523  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Andrew Bitcoiner / BitJack21 on: January 03, 2013, 09:06:38 PM
No I didn't say I hoped you suffered a loss. I'm saying if this blows up into something much bigger you are going to he a non factor. the laws even in states that allow gambling is 21 at best. No lawyer worth his salt is going to stick his neck out and defend you. As I highly doubt you even live where It's legal to gamble at the very least.

I understand as well Bitcoin has no age limit. usually money doesn't. that's not the issue here. again you are betweeb a rock and a hard place with getting any money back due to age.

Furthermore I'm aware a .parent and or paternal guardian  can and will at times sign for a minor child. They still are pretty much giveing a vote of assurance for what that minor does with the device(s). As a parent I question any other in my shoes who doesn't follow what a child os doing with modern technology.

I'm by no means sheltering my children but I.sure to fuck are not letting them chat with adults even half.my age, gamble or use social networks. perhaps that's personal opinion getting in the way

I'm not questioning intellect here at all. It's only fact I the next guy in this post, your mommy abd even god.himself might not want to see you screwed out of money. but you have engaged in something that you have no legal right to.

524  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: [ANN] BitSafe Hardware Wallet Development - $28.00 (Developers only) on: January 03, 2013, 08:15:14 PM

This is very neat and I'll more then surely purchase one. However fine tuneing ky RaspPi into what I now use as my hard wallet has been It's own labor of love.

I wanted something I could store all my coin on. abd generate keys for all the active and even dead coin. I've also setup a way to generate abd print paper for each coin. I don't plan on takeing my device outside the home. any coin I do take with me I gamble with via my android device. I only take enough with me incase an uncanny deal or item is up for grabs and I catch on to it while mobile.

basically I never carry more BTC then I have in USD in my wallet most if not all the time.  Now this may sound like overkill or complex bullshit but I stuck the board in the wall behind my TV in our family room. I built a nice mount for it and ran the power cord to an outlet where I installed a typical three prong socket with the added bonus of usb. I can remove the board from the wall clean abd clear as the mounts ride on ball bearings I had a faceplate made as well for cosmetics and when not in use a picture hangs over the entire setup.

Basically the whole project for me was the pipe dream of owning a wall safe behind a picture like in all the mafia flics. I was able to get my wife to follow along as It's super easy to plug a different SDHC card and make it a fantastic media center.

But that's just my love for my chunk of the Pi. again not saying this isn't and will not be a welcomed item in my efforts to keep abd spend crypto moneys.
525  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Andrew Bitcoiner / BitJack21 on: January 03, 2013, 04:29:30 PM
If this all blows up I can tell you right now. the 14 year old in the middle gets nothing. And It's no offence to him. But even if you denounce BTC it is still bunk.

As an example of something tottaly non related... but in dealing with minors. I sometimes use an Android app called "CB Radio Chat". It's. very simple touch to talk chat network that contains a rather crazy mix of social folk, trolls and the out right crazy. I fall into the troll realm of the app.

Needless to say at times children will download the app and be on cussing up a storm. abd needless to say as well. they get caught... and so do some of the other users cussing back. You will get a defensive parent that decides they are going to go.Perry Mason on the person and "Report them".

Problem I have is once the parent has the Mic. I can't help but point out what's wrong with them. Sure the app itself has no statement in the ToS that says a minor cannot be on the app. But really the fault comes from the parent handing the minor a smartphone that only someone 18 or over can enter a contract for. Also in theory a minor can use Gmail. But only with some back end assurance that a parent has consented and is somehow watching what's going on.

long story short what I've just went off topic on might not fit. but somewhere in all of what does apply. a contract has been breached. this young man's parent(s) might be able to step in. lie for him and be apart of some grand lawyer fee if it  gos that far. but from what we just saw words speak volumes. he won't be getting a dime. hopefully others will

526  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Litecoin is going down and down , time to sell everything and run away !!! on: January 03, 2013, 03:24:55 AM

Jesus Christ....total fail of points being made. The big picture is pretty fucking clear here. as long as new alt coins are produced. pre-mined or otherwise. LTC will suffer the effects of it. everyone is guilty at some point of "pump and dump". it does harm the whole system. thus os why I on a personal level am only focused on BTC/LTC. NMC is a factor but It's goal isn't the same as the other two.

As a matter of opinion are the other coins a scam? My awnser is 50/50. Some developers care others want a name sake. Some want to put effort into it. they want to converse and make something of it. Others want something that can hold enough water to be worth enough BTC to make a quick getaway with a few hundred or more of what's working.

on and on we can go... but the point here is LTC is not dead. more and more it IS being used. because it dropped suddenly doesn't make it a scam. it makes it a victim of jaded individuals once like myself who thought... "Hey, I can mine this shit... trade this shit... and get more for my energy costs."

So really the scam question of the day is... who the fuck is the real enemy here? the guy that makes the 4th through umteenth level coin or the people mineing and tradeing the coin that's not even worthy of asswhipe?

527  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Litecoin is going down and down , time to sell everything and run away !!! on: January 02, 2013, 11:04:41 PM

When PeePee coin hit prime time LTC dropped. I'm not suprised It's dropping again. I call it ADD coin for that reason. Everyone bitches about it when a new coin comes along... but look who's bitching about it! It's the individuals who stop everything for the new coin. they rack in the new coin with crossed fingers and toes under some idea that they are going to be filthy rich early adopted users of the coin.

meanwhile I still invest and trade in LTC. I love it I have no desire for the new breed of coins. I don't want to be filthy rich because honestly I don't want the fucking stigma. I'll soon enough get that way without being greedy about it.

Go invest some coin on LTC global for Christ sakes. push it around as you would BTC.. The more It's used the more stability it has am I not correct?
528  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: TORWallet - Scammer on: January 02, 2013, 10:49:54 PM
Back in August TORwallet vanished for two solid weeks. When it came back online I pulled my very small amount of coin out of it. lots of others at that time did the same.

it was sketchy from day one. this doesn't suprise me
529  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: PENDING - [SCAMMER - 10 BTC loan ($130)] *name removed* on: January 02, 2013, 10:44:10 PM

I'd ask him.for an alternate payment method. if he refuses I'd start hounding his close contacts. treat it like collections in this case. you may not recover it all but a good sum is better then none.

Of he's given names of mommy, sissy or uncle mike I'd get ahold of these people. let them know then see if they can't talk to him. I'm pretty sure this is ether a case of no intention or good intention that went south.

But at any rate I'd first give him the option to pay up in some other currency median.
530  Economy / Services / Looking to hire a torrent leecher on: January 02, 2013, 02:28:28 AM
Okay so I'm looking for an individual who could download a rather  hefty torrent. Born the files to cd media then mail them to me. I have no idea hoe much this type of venture would cost right now. last time I looked into it the price wasn't really worth it.

That's what I want. please post or pm a bid.
531  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / What to do with all these alt blockchains on: January 02, 2013, 01:37:43 AM
I'm posting this from my phone. So I apologize this isn't well written. But these are some thoughts I've been cooking and I wish to vent them. So cutting to the skinny.. I'm not following any of these new coins. I just don't see the need to improve what already seems to work. However I do see something in them of value that perhaps others are seeing. yet fail to say jack shit as far as opinions are concerned.

I'd like to turn the attention over to Namecoin for a second. here we have an alt coin that's holding water. though It's a shallow end of the bog picture it has a goal. A huge reason to still be worth something but at the same time not popular enough to be used in the trade of goods.

Domains are something that I'm going to assume over the next few years will go one of two ways. ether the price to own will be jacked up or they will be a dime a dozen. ether way It's going to be a nightmare. Furthermore It's only a matter of time before the wild west internet is tamed by governing powers that be. I believe the last best hope will be the darknet.

more people will access this portion of the internet to keep what they know intact. So far it seems social media has won in createing the internet ID system. countless websites ask for a Facebook ID to register. But not everyone including.myself wants to do this.

I like my internet to be semi private. If I choose to throw data concerning.my life, family, work, hobbies, religious belief etc I'll do it. otherwise I'm "Darktongue" and I am a human being I wish to learn abd at times.purchase shit. that's all anyone really needs to know.

with this in mind the human side of me wishes to be unique. if a build a website or start a venture I don't always want the same plain Jane .com tld as the next guy. so if by some chance shit hits the fan and I end up spending more time cruiseing the darknet. I still damn well desire to he unique on that son of a bitch as well.

So why not blossom some of these extra coin blockchains into alternative domains like NMC. build an exchange for them and begin working on something with a little more of a reasonable way of keeping someone's pet project alive?

Thing is PPC isn't going to knock off litecoin and hey I can surely say it isn't going to even knock off NMC. It could however be a running mate with it. Why can't DEVcoin include functions for "Website.dev? Then those domains be used to fule the image of the software and coders the coin is suppose to support?

I guess perhaps I'm jaded by this concept. I'm jaded by the internet of old that was so much what this community stands for. Freedom... true and tested proven freedom.

532  Economy / Goods / Re: Prevention is better than a cure. Please escrow. on: January 01, 2013, 09:41:39 PM
For the time being I feel semi-safe with this practice. But I still fear the reaper.... Nothing is safe  really. It's not a matter of if It's when these sites will have something exploited.

I know most of these escrow services are serious about the work being done. but so wher a ton of the exchanges, online wallets and buyback services that have lost some serious hide after being exploited.

I commend the efforts and advocates of escrow services for coin. It's a huge step in the right direction of makeing everyone at the very least comfortable enough to trade with the currency.
533  Economy / Goods / Re: [WTT] Breastmilk for Bitcoins - .13 BTC per ounce on: January 01, 2013, 09:00:57 PM
This isn't insane... actually I'm not suprised this os actually being done. I joked with my wife about continueing to pump after our infant weens off. the demand for this is actually high in our area. They have milk banks here though our local hospital and cannot keep with the demand.

For some mothers this is priceless. So many reasons exist that a mother would be unable to use her own milk. but want to feed an infant breastmilk rather then the alternatives.

I hope the seller is able to help those that really need this service rather then.sell to those with a feddish for it.
534  Economy / Goods / Looking for some Dr Who VHS tapes on: January 01, 2013, 08:51:16 PM
Hey hey,

So years ago I had a decent collection of Dr Who episodes that I'd watch religiously. Over several moves in my life I lost or somehow damaged boxes of old VHS tapes. sadly my collection was in the mix. as of now I'm looking to refresh my archive and perhaps give.myself a second chance of takeing care of my vintage media. I was wondering if anyone here would have any Tom Baker or Peter Davidson Dr who(4th and 5th Doctors). they would be willing to sell for BTC at a reasonable price.

if someone does wish to part send.me a list of what you have as well as a reasonable amount as far as cost go's. I could really care less of they have jackets/covers. I'm just looking to get my retro on and introduce the classics to my children. I appreciate anyone who's willing to help me on this.

please keep in mind I will only use escrow for BTC. if you so wish I will use payoal as well but only if a bulk of videos are being sold to me.
535  Economy / Digital goods / [WTS] UltraViolet Code for "Copper:Season 1" on: December 21, 2012, 09:23:42 PM
I have up for grabs a digital download code for a BBC mini series called "Copper". The show itself has appeared on BBC America and Fox. It's pretty damn good actually.

I'm not one to use this digital median so this code is up for sale to someone that is wanting a legal copy of the show. The code is valid until March of 2014. I'm looking to get a meazely 0.8BTC out of it. please PM if this offer is something you think is fair.
536  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Butterfly Labs CEO 25 Million USD Mail Fraud — A Concise Summary of Evidence on: September 20, 2012, 08:40:34 PM
How is it fraud of the currency isn't considered real? Sorry it seems I'm not tickleing anyone's noodles here.

The keyword that sticks out like a sore thumb.. and has for me since day one is "Experiment". use your imagination here.

Bitcoin is nothing more then elaborate very very neat software. It has a chain of shit along with it that keeps it going. in the case of BFL they have promised experimental hardware and have been mostly paid with said experimental money. A good lawyer though he or she would be an even bigger crook defending these people of they are frauds. could cause us all to shit the bed. These are not idiot facts. It's wordplay.. that's all a defence team really needs.

What proof do we have... experiments in transactions? Really? Maybe the few people who have.paid with fed money can throw the rusty hatchet at there heads but other then that I don't see this working out for the BTC end of things... unless as said some new words are put into play
537  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Butterfly Labs CEO 25 Million USD Mail Fraud — A Concise Summary of Evidence on: September 20, 2012, 08:14:13 PM
Question!!!!

So with ANY high dollar scammer today comes a good lawyer. If they are a scam... Minus the credit card transactions that can be reversed.. And the payment gateways that cab fight for your money back.. What of the bitcoin? Who's to say a good defence team for any of these bastards couldn't get them off?

Everyone including myself has asked the question.. is Bitcoin and crypto money real of It's not governed by the feds? Will a supreme court fight for it? THE AWNSER IS FUCK NO!! This project and the community behind it needs a fucking lawyer. I'm sorry as legitimate as some of us may be. As much as we can squak at the FBI and fed all day and night. We lack validation that millions have actually been handed out.

Also who's willing to admit to the fed they spent 15k of untaxed money? I sure as hell wouldn't..

But like a couple of coiners said.. we just have to wait... thumb up the ass sucking on the other thumb waiting for a shoe to fall.
538  Economy / Speculation / Re: The Great Silk Road Crash of 20** ...? on: September 20, 2012, 07:45:20 PM
I'm with the nay sayers as far as it burning the crypto economy. and for that matter being shut down. It's hard to even speculate on the who, what and where are they. who knows how powerful the operators are... it could be a handful of people like for example pirate bay... Or it could be hundreds of people.. I'm surely believeing there is a quantity of heartbeats behind it.

I've had deeper discussion with people concerning the actual TOR software comming under government attack. It is after all a creation by several governing bodies. but still. nothing stops another TOR project from aiding civilians to reach this portion of the internet.

I guess bottom line is if someone has the willpower it will get done no matter how hard of a crackdown world politics brings.

I think as well, the crypto economy will slowly begin to be adopted by more and more "legal" services. thus allowing for a split of the market. So as long as the current community can prove that with a little brains one can actually make rather then lose
539  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Captcha is a waste of time (Sad truth) on: September 20, 2012, 02:29:59 PM
Install any cms, pull together a few pages of info then shut off any and all spam prevention. I matter of days you will begin to see why It's worth it.

I tested this once, what seemed to.amaze me the most was the type of botting used to spam. with no prevention you get hit by bots that are so outdated in there tactics that It's clearly a child or a total noob running said bot.

I noticed three levels of spam bots when I ran my test... as said total noob bots that pasted just a link and had names consisting of random characters. level two was the fake viagra and porn spam style bots. a little text of jargon more defined user name and ofcourse a link. level three was what we see today with the nonsence paragraphs a legitimate looking user name and links.

Also keep in mind spammers are all over the world.. so times the above by an unknown world wide number... after about a month. your cms will look like matrix code.

Bottom line is captcha annoying? sure is... is it needed? sure is...
540  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Chances I'll get my coins back on: September 19, 2012, 10:46:16 PM
Who knows honestly, is ot a good idea ot for that matter anything but a gamble to invest in wall street stock? As far as "Bitcoin Banks" go. The idea is wonderful. however who's running most of them are just people like you and I. They might have some knowledge but to cover all grounds would be a full on establishing biz. Not everyone here including myself I don't think... is ready to do that.

Investing is a gamble no matter how you look at it. look at pyramining.. great shit it works.. so far. Most newbies end up useing it way past the time that they are comfortable ventureing out into sometwhing new. but at anytime the operators could hault the entire project. What's worse is they clearly tell you long story short "The sex lights will be turned on" you will get fucked somehow...we will TRY to reimburse you.

You have to remember this is all an experiment. one that we hope to whatever god we choose to acknowledge works out for everyone... I know I haven't awnserd anything but really nobody can really give a right or wrong on this topic.
