521  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ZET] Zetacoin - SHA256 coin - Quick confirmations on: June 04, 2014, 06:58:40 PM
The zetacoin android wallet is bad. It will always connect to the Internet even if I disconnect it. It eats my phone traffic without my permission. So maybe I have to identify it as spamware.

And the FreeBSD daemon has a strange problem. When I copy the wallet.dat to several different machines and run, all machines will generate an extra same address. I don't like this extra address, because I only want one address in my wallet.dat. Otherwise, why are the extra addresses the same? I guess they have been calculated by the same algorithm pattern? So maybe the source code has been hacked by bad guy?

I'm the maintainer of that port.
Can you PM me to explain what's happening?  I don't understand what you mean.

Is anyone talking about merge mining this coin? It is a SHA-256 coin like Bitcoin yeah?

If you or anyone you know, knows how to do that, then feel free to submit patches.

Yo guys, is this ZETA thing going up and be stable, or is the end?

I know it's a little concerning seeing the price drop so much in the last few weeks.  However, Zetacoin has not lost it's value.  ZetaCoin value is still pegged to Bitcoin and Bitcoin has risen a lot recently.  The price of a ZetaCoin to USD is still the same.

The phenomenon is simple to explain but hard to understand.

Zetacoin investors are converting to Bitcoins and selling for USD.  That's easy to see.

But it's hard to understand why anyone would sell their Zetacoins for 0.00002505 BTC and get $0.01 USD.  When they could sell at 0.00006000 BTC and get $0.04 USD.

Perhaps people truly are stupid.
524  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: CoinUrl on: May 29, 2014, 08:43:18 AM
I earn about 0.01-0.02 BTC per day according to my statistics (6k unique per day, single banner) but they are reluctant to pay.  Sometimes they even skip a few days.

Is there a better alternative?
525  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: MultiFaucet - Crypto Coin Dispenser [UPDATED version 0.8.1] on: May 29, 2014, 02:17:56 AM
can you provide some step by step tutorial? i have tried n http://www.gamingdormitory.com/faucet/index.php it can be funded, is it mandatory to install wallet in the hosting? tq.

There is a tutorial here:
http://www.unibia.net/crypto-faucet

It's not required to run a wallet on the hosting.  See the link for a simple script that can use a remote wallet.
Let me know if you need something more detailed.
526  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: ANN ~BINARY~(BIC) Scrypt | 15 sec coin | 84 Million coins | Binarycoin on: May 27, 2014, 05:01:09 AM
FYI, it's not listed in the OP, but this coin is actively traded at https://xnigma.com/markets/view/46

my friend just set up a block explorer at www.binarychain.com.

I build and design coffee shops that double as brick and mortar digital exchanges while specializing in commodity based digital currencies.

Our gift cards earn 5% monthly payback and are redeemable for 1 coffee or 1 USD or 1000 BIC.

We have a number of bounties and services that accept BIC and soon all of our transactions will be run through Binarycoin.

for more info, please check out our website at http://theohyeah.com

www.binarychain.com does not work, but binarychain.com (without the www) works.

I've updated my mining pool to use the new block explorer.
FYI, the address display is a little weird.

For anyone that has an X-1 on pre-order and wants to cut their losses or is unable to get a refund.
I'll trade you 1 RockMiner (32GH/s) for one X-1 pre-order.

LOL,

like anybody is going to take you  on that offer

They will probably wish they took it come July when the units still haven't shipped and I lowered my offer to 2x X-1 for one RockMiner.
LOL!

529  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: RockMiner (Official Distributor)| Gridseed | Bitmain S1 Group Buy on: May 23, 2014, 11:49:16 AM
man I wish these were cheaper, even with the added power draw it seems S1's are the better option

Yes, I'd grab a few just for the hell of it if it was near it's true value($30-$40 range).

This is very tempting (low power draw), but I agree the price is a little high.
I'll wait it out for now.
I would probably go for two of them if it was $15 cheaper.

In Germany it is a crime, what Black Arrow does. It is called "Vorschussbetrug" oder "Vorkassebetrug".
http://www.dict.cc/deutsch-englisch/Vorkassebetrug.html (advance fee fraud)

And what do we call this crime:

Just gonna put that there.

In all honesty, that is pretty sweet.

3 TH/s for free($6000 value) for Neptune customers.  I guess we shall see if BA can come close to this.

Very generous indeed, but doesn't that prove that these machines are overpriced to begin with?

Zeta drops significantly

Wow...I wonder what's up?

Do you guys think it's time to rebuy or should I just sell?

So many bullshit 'scam' puppet posts in this thread, makes me want to buy more. Oh wait, because I've liked this coin from the get-go I must be a pumper looking to screw people out of their money. Buy, sell, pump, rebuke, makes no difference to me. This coin has always been fun to trade.

Who knows, maybe someday it'll be worth a decent amount.

I look at these drops as a good sign.  The way I see it, it's just another impatient bag holder dumping his coins too early.
533  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] SUN COIN - Many Exchanges, Big Price PUMPS, MultiPool paying SUN! on: May 12, 2014, 03:18:13 PM
What happened with block 180562?

http://explorer.suncoin.biz/block/3e62c9f6305f4d25c97a1810c1ddad2968a43860bcfefac087890d4dbfe33e91

The difficulty jumped from 0.816 to 262?

It's not possible that my tiny 1.2 MH/s rig solved a block that difficult.
534  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Transaction Fees Problem on: May 11, 2014, 08:13:13 PM
I think I solved it.  I made the following changes to the source code:

src/wallet.cpp:1179
Code:
bool fAllowFree = true; //CTransaction::AllowFree(dPriority);

src/main.cpp:3558
Code:
bool fAllowFree = true; // (nBlockSize + nTxSize < 1500 || CTransaction::AllowFree(dPriority));

I understand that this could prevent my transactions from being picked up by some miners.
So far they have been going through. Example: here and here.

If they don't, then they will get picked up by my pool when it finds a block (which is pretty often).

Is there a better way?
535  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Transaction Fees Problem on: May 11, 2014, 06:44:09 PM
It just happened again.

Code:
Array
(
    [amount] => -9.7
    [fee] => -0.8
    [confirmations] => 49
    [blockhash] => 0869d176545ee1c4050a6cd72cac43fe2c0e0bf8ba208d84d6eecc71e810c5b0
    [blockindex] => 2
    [txid] => a0bd09b9c0c843ec2bc86b7bf5880ba4dd5a887aa1748f11bdd4598fdea4803c
    [time] => 1399831330
    [details] => Array
        (
            [0] => Array
                (
                    [account] =>
                    [address] => SWcx3zoXCAj24RcaUVP8NaqjJGV5JfzsJN
                    [category] => send
                    [amount] => -9.7
                    [fee] => -0.8
                )

        )

)

For now I can take the losses because Suncoin is so low, but how can I fix this?  From what I understand I can modify the source code?
Or is there a way for me to know what the fee will be beforehand?  This way I can wait until the coins age a little more.
536  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Transaction Fees Problem on: May 11, 2014, 04:17:49 PM
it's suncoin.
537  Other / Beginners & Help / Transaction Fees Problem on: May 11, 2014, 01:44:20 PM
I recently sent a few payments and the transaction fees were huge:

Code:
Array
(
    [amount] => -9.7
    [fee] => -0.8
    [confirmations] => 61
    [blockhash] => 9e21d3f1c10d88896e815dd5f884bc441f3bffc8aac310b411a17bc0d40ebe07
    [blockindex] => 4
    [txid] => 5de9507afeefda771b3a4449400c26d12efccf687d0a3829ddb6aff17d65a5b6
    [time] => 1399813341
    [details] => Array
        (
            [0] => Array
                (
                    [account] =>
                    [address] => SWcx3zoXCAj24RcaUVP8NaqjJGV5JfzsJN
                    [category] => send
                    [amount] => -9.7
                    [fee] => -0.8
                )

        )

)

What can be done to avoid this (besides grouping payments)?
538  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] SUN COIN - Many Exchanges, Big Price PUMPS, MultiPool paying SUN! on: May 10, 2014, 11:26:52 AM
So is this coin officially dead now?

Nope, we are all silently mining away accumulating the coins that you will later buy from us.
539  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Black Arrow 28nm 100Ghash Bitcoin ASIC from $1.99/GH/s, miners from $2.97/GH/s on: May 09, 2014, 11:26:31 PM
Really? Got a link?

Cheapest ive seen is $20 for a sever psu without the adapter. MS is selling the combo for $60.

Pretty sure tzortz has a whole thread dedicated to diy psu for cheap:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=518013.0

I see all these DIY topics that hack together stuff only to save you very little once you factor in time and effort.  In the end however I would rather pay a little extra for a quality power supply than for something that may end up being a fire hazard.
540  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] LGD Legendary Coin - LGD to BTCE.com EXCHANGE, GREAT COMMUNITY, SCRYPT ! on: May 09, 2014, 09:39:04 PM
I wish there was a LGD multipool with a sha256 port since I only have Sha256 hardware. I'd be mining the shit out of it.

Yeah be handy to set up a Sha multipool. Would inrease price and bring more attention.

This is an scrypt coin, you can't mine it with SHA256 hardware.

Can set up a multipool for Sha that mines Sha coins then auto sells them for LGD which increases LGD price and then pays out the miners in LGD.

Hmm...
I may be able to set something like that up if their is enough interest and there are some programmers willing to volunteer some time and effort.
