Definitely needs a GUI to get more interest. 95% of people will see gitorious and have no idea what it is or how to use it.

528  Bitcoin / Mining software (miners) / Re: [MINER] Phoenix - New efficient, fast, modular miner **BFI_INT support!** on: May 12, 2011, 12:15:38 PM
I'm getting the same error. On deepbit with the same settings I don't have this problem. Could it be related to the speed of the actual server not being able to keep up?
529  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: 5870 Users! Clock Speed, Memory, Voltage, SDK and CCC Version, Flags, etc. on: May 12, 2011, 10:11:44 AM
I'm running my 5870 @ 950mhz core and 180mhz memory with stock voltages. I'm getting about 400 Mhash/s. I would push my OC higher but it has been really warm here the last few days and it has been running a little hotter than I like.

In the case of cheating, I will track you down like a rabid dog, hack off your legs with a hedge trimmer, rape you with a corncob, and boil off your corpse in an acid bath.

You sound highly disturbed.

I think pretty much everyone on the bitcoin forum is disturbed in some way. Myself included.
531  Economy / Economics / Re: Why all the focus on USD Fiat exchange??? on: May 11, 2011, 02:52:56 AM
The grocery store doesn't yet accept Bitcoin.

^

Hey guys, this is where the thread ended

Does that mean we can turn it into a 9/11 deniers thread? :-P

Yes.
533  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What are you going to do, when (if) bitcoin hit $1000/BTC? on: May 11, 2011, 02:46:03 AM
Pay off my student loans so the assholes will stop calling me.

Updated coin-control.appspot.com to include IDs so you don't have to keep copy-pasting your address in. Addresses still work, too.

I donated a little bit to you the other night. Thanks for setting up this app.

I switched from Deepbit a couple days ago to give this a try. Liking it a lot so far. I'm currently putting out about 400 Mhash/s and already have some coins about to mature in my wallet.
536  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Windows Sidebar Gadget Supports deepbit / slushpool / Eligius on: May 10, 2011, 09:15:05 AM
I've had the Mt. Gox widget on my android phone for a while now and have been wanting something similar for my desktop. This works great. Thanks!

Let me make a generalization. You have horrible grammar and produce illogical/strawman arguments, therefor your entire country is bad at grammar and it's number one export is logical fallacies.

Zing!

540  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Weird feeling- I keep spending BTC while watching balance converted 2 USD go up! on: May 09, 2011, 02:52:39 AM
One of the weaknesses I see with bitcoin right now is all the speculating on the dollar value. This doesn't help bitcoin as a currency. It needs to be spent on actual goods and services. If everyone is just in it to sell their coins what use is bitcoin besides kind of a ponzi scheme trying to leave people holding coins when the mt gox value corrects. That's why I setup BitBid. The more people using it as real money the more actual value bitcoin will have.
