521  Economy / Economics / Re: Can Bitcoin End World Poverty? on: July 23, 2017, 10:35:23 AM
I think that bitcoin will not put an end to world poverty, because it is money that you need to earn. In countries where there is no Internet, they simply can not even see bitcoin.
Yeah that is right but if you will see the large aspect of bitcoin impact to the society it is the new way of earning because in the past the earning needs hard work but now you only need a gadget, internet and some time to earn the bitcoin so it is gradually reducing the poverty but it can't totally ended somehow but is helping to reduce the cases of it.
522  Economy / Economics / Re: If you have a lot of bitcoin, should you spend it or save it? on: July 23, 2017, 09:33:45 AM
Let's say I have 2.1 BTC And I don't spend it. Will it go up a few cents if I save it? Cause in my wallet I have up to about 50 cents worth of bitcoin. I started up with 13 cents 7 months ago. Now all of sudden I have bitcoins worth 50 cents. What do you call this? I only made that one 13 cent deposit. Nothing else!
I don't understand what you say. But, If I have a lot of Bitcoin. Definitely, I will hold it for a long time. I will deposit it on a secure wallet and I forget it for a long period. About 5/6 years letter I will open my wallet.
That what people think that bitcoin is easy to forget and the patience control is very hard for me because with just small hype I sell my bitcoins and then buy in the lower value of it. And besides a huge amount of the bitcoin is risky to hold but if you have a hardcore wallet then it is fine.
523  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why use Bitcoins ? on: July 23, 2017, 09:25:00 AM
A lot of ppl prefer payments through btc instead of things such as paypal because paypal can be charged back

I think there is a transaction fee regarding bitcoin transactions, and I think if paypal would not do it they will not surely profit regarding how much needed in the transaction, I think the transaction fee in bitcoin would be regarding on what kind of wallet you are using, but yes transaction fee towards bitcoin is more cheaper than paypal, and regarding this I certainly have some issue's while using paypal.
Regarding to the transaction issue with the paypal and bitcoin I prefer the bitcoin because the transaction with bitcoin is completely anonymous although you can trace it but the person it self that make the transaction is untraceable, So in overall the bitcoin is better with the paypal in terms of speed and fee and in addition in paypal you can get back you money so it is not advisable for me.
524  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: IS THERE A CHANCE THAT BTC WILL BE CONTROLLED BY THE GOVERNMENT? on: July 23, 2017, 09:17:24 AM
Hi

how about if all currencies will be known worldwide or if it will be acknowledged in all countries even coming to become the currencies of the world, what will happen to the value of each currencies, or better yet what will be the impact. Are banks will be their first enemy?
Gracias!
No one is controlling the the blockchain technology sa basically government will have only a way to go through the bitcoin is using and building a local exchange that the bitcoin will be able to exchange and it will be handle by the government. That is the most possible way but as a whole they cannot get it because the blockchain is controlled by people who are supporting it.
525  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin in College??? on: July 23, 2017, 09:12:41 AM
Bitcoin as a course or any related currency on web.
In my country we have multiple courses in computer especially programing and web developments. My course is also information technology, but i've never heard or learn about online currency as bitcoin. In present, and future studies is there any chances for inserting about it in education. In your country is it available?
It would be better for any country to adopt bitcoin in educating new generations. Instead of playing games and wasting money in surfing xxx sites.
Bitcoin for now is just starting to develop rather to be adopt by every country so I think in nearly the bitcoin will be adopted by every country as soon as the name of it will be boom or a breaking news and I think the education that is contextualize the bitcoin will be available soon just a few developments and adoption.
526  Economy / Economics / Re: Holdings of gold vs Holdings of btc on: July 22, 2017, 03:11:10 AM
Does anyone have any idea how many people are using gold as a store of value vs btc?  And how long do you think until we have the same user Base as holders of gold?
Less people are holding gold since gold account is noy available for all countries. I think more people in middle east countries are holding golds since they are rich in gold. Unlike in btc, every countries can be able to have that since it does need is internet but nothing.
And in terms of holding gold is not worth it because it's price is very stable and you will not gain for long term holding it so with the bitcoin every year the price it is changing drastically so bitcoin is better to hold than gold because in bitcoin you will get a great and huge profit from holding it.
527  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: It's freaking 2017 - Do you own 1 BTC? on: July 22, 2017, 02:50:49 AM
Yes I do own 1BTC I might have more than that but I converted them to fiat whenever I needed money but I made sure that I had had at least 1BTC all the time so I'm still in possession of 1BTC :-)
Same with me my 1btc is in a cold storage and I didn't use it no matter what because that is for the future and my other coins are the one that I am using just like trading gambling and etc. And sometimes spending bitcoin into something but the 1btc that I stored I didn't use it that is my savings.
528  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: can bitcoin wallet be hacked by hackers? on: July 22, 2017, 02:42:14 AM
can they hack into our wallet. There are many professional hackers out there. What are the chances? Also what is the safest way to safeguard ourself?
Hardcore wallet is the solution for the hackers because no matter good is the hacker if you are using hardcore wallet he has no chance to access it because the wallet is in your hand so in my opinion spend and invest in hardcore wallet for better security.
529  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Cash-out or buy Alts before August 1? on: July 22, 2017, 02:34:54 AM
The best choice is to buy more bitcoins and hold it because I am sure that in that event it will reach the 4000$ market cap and the bitcoin is pretty popular now and for the segwit there is nothing to worry about in my opinion so just hold your coins and if possible buy more bitcoins.
530  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ICO] ShadowToken for the highly rated Shadow Era TCG on: July 22, 2017, 02:30:29 AM
It's good that you use a platform of waves. I have a few coins, i use them for your ico

yes.. me too i have few waves in waveswallet.io.. can i use them for buying SHDW token there?
Yeah, The waves is a good platform for me because it is literally user friendly and besides the waves is easy to use and have a small fee. Since the shadow token is using waves platform so I think it is possible to buy Shadow token using waves.
531  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ICO] ShadowToken for the highly rated Shadow Era TCG on: July 20, 2017, 02:50:39 PM
Another interesting project handled by Sylon, this project shows a lot of potential because there's a lot of people who play mobile games nowadays. I'm expecting that this project will be successful.  Grin
Right, all the project that was handled by sylon is already succeed. This project is a good idea especially in the gamer, most of the user of computer nowadays are addicted in playing games and if will success it will become popular to the gamers. I hope that this project will success and become popular token for gamers.
In terms of popularity I think if the campaign is handle by sylon many of the investors here in the forum will be interested because the manager is not yet handling a fail ICO so I think many are going to support this project from outside and inside of this forum. And as soon as I see the potential of the game I will invest too.
532  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Confidence Returning to Bitcoin? on: July 20, 2017, 02:43:21 PM
...

I have looked over several threads here at bitcointalk, and it looks like SegWit is slowly being implemented (or planned for, or whatever) AND the price just ticked to (about) $2300, some $450 (or more) off its recent lows.

This suggests to me that confidence is returning to Bitcoin.

But, this might be just a bear trap, especially if anything goes wrong around August 1.

Not sure why people sold.  It's all about the hodl.  Bitcoin has a strong future!
People are selling their bitcoins to make sure that they're money is safe from the the upcoming event which is the segwit. because there's a news about it that you should sell your bitcoin to be safe so many are panic selling because of that but I think now the bitcoin price is stable and keep pumping.
533  Other / Off-topic / Re: Job Vs Bitcoin on: July 20, 2017, 02:18:07 PM
Hi, I was wondering if I should quit my job and focus more on bitcoins? Because I think it might get me even richer without a job?  Grin

Its still depend in you but for me i prefer focus in bitcoin because in bitcoin you are the boss and you can manage it easily compare if you have a job, everyday you have to wake up early to go to work and hustle when your boss mad then command you to finish plenty of paper works. In bitcoin, you need only device and internet to update and there you go, you can earn daily or weekly.
Build a foundation first before taking the risk and make sure if you are going to quit the job you the bitcoin works is waiting for you. because if you are going to quit without a plan you will just lose so before taking the risk make sure the outcome first. But for me I prefer bitcoin than job because the salary is more better than regular job.

535  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why do males make up 97% of the Bitcoin community? on: July 17, 2017, 11:38:54 PM
Maybe the reason behind that is because males are the risky type of people compared to females in terms of new discoveries. Even though bitcoin is just a new established cryptocurrency, males have already take its risk and not mindful of the consequences he might get in it. Also men needs that capability to earn using bitcoin to sustain his financial, leisure and fun needs. That maybe the reason why males are building up to 97% of bitcoin community.
536  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN]Pillar - The Personal Data Locker - 60hr Token sale begins July 15 on: July 17, 2017, 11:23:39 PM
A great news is really coming to happen within the success of this project that will surely be able to happen in less than 60hrs of the crowd sale. The progress in the token sale is continuous to happen. It is a good inidication of the upcoming success of this project. Hoping for the best thing to happen within this ICO Project.
537  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is the ticket to heaven ... on: July 17, 2017, 10:44:24 PM
nothing is impossible maan.... this is a new generation, with the money we can do anythings. we can do criminality or somethings for justice.
"Bitcoin can drive us to heaven? Are you kidding buddy?" Maybe some people assume like that but everything in the world is only tool.
The tools we choose, whether we use for good or evil. The star of evil only leads us into hell and vice versa.
Your choice is the path you choose, so please choose your own path!
Money is nothing you can bring into your grave up to the heaven. Because valuable things for you while you are living cannot be bring until you die or let just say when you already going to the journey in heaven. Bitcoin is a cryptocurrency for virtual and physical use on payments and I think the limit of it is that you cannot bring it in heaven because there is no such payment needed on going to it.
538  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How many people are asking you about Bitcoin now? on: July 17, 2017, 09:57:21 PM
I've been talking about Bitcoin to family, friends and random people for years and nobody seemed to mind when BTC was under $1000. But now that Bitcoin has reached $2000, people are starting to realize that owning 1 BTC is beginning to be out of reach for the average person.

I've had more people ask me about Bitcoin lately and wanted help buying Bitcoins. What about you?
It is too many to mention but it will be just around my groups of friends, family and also relatives even my neighbors are starting to ask me about this cryptocurrency which we all know as bitcoin. Because they say that with a long term of living, they have not yet encountered such thing like this and it will be great that they want to know how it works to make bitcoin more popular and there will be a sure increase on number of users once again.
539  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN]Pillar - The Personal Data Locker - 60hr Token sale begins July 15 on: July 17, 2017, 09:43:18 PM
The crowd still work on the progress of the Pillar project despite of the coin dumps right now. Surely that before or after the 60hr crowd sale they will exceed the tokens sold from the minimum target and putting it into the maximum number. Hoping that Pillar will gain their success after this event.
540  Economy / Speculation / Re: Should I cash out my BTC now? on: July 17, 2017, 09:28:27 PM
If you had your payment in BTC, would you cash out your money or you would wait increasing of cryptocurrency?
It depends upon you if you cannot wait longer anymore you will be surely going to convert and cash out your money from your btc wallet to avoid the continuous drop of bitcoin value. But if you really have the patience to wait that longer until the time it will pump again, surely you will get more than what you have right now. So better hold it for a while. But it is your own decision that will matter anyway.
