521  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Where can i report a crypto crime? on: December 20, 2017, 09:09:51 PM
In India, I think crypto fraud or crime could be reported at cyber cell. You can first lounge a FIR(first information Report) to your nearest police station. And with reference of that FIR copy, cyber cell team takes the necessary action to caught the criminal.

524  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why do some government ban bitcoin? on: December 17, 2017, 10:56:46 PM
Govt of some countries like Nepal, Morroco or Bangladesh banned BTC because they fear that it may create a parallel economy in their country. Politicians and govt. officials fear that if something like this happens, then politicians will lose their power.
Moreover, BTC features like anonymity and decentralized is also the main reason for its ban, as govt. fear that it may increase the illegal activity in their country so as a precautionary action they just BANNED it.
525  Economy / Economics / Re: Can Bitcoin also lead to corruption ? on: December 17, 2017, 10:26:03 PM
First of all, we need to understand that greed is the root of corruption...politicians or bureaucrats misuse their power and use unethical ways to earn money that leads to corruption.
Yes, BTC can become a powerful instrument for corruption in future. It is difficult to keep cash as it needs safe space to it, on the other hand, BTC wallets need no space, are theft-free, easy to carry and funds inside them can easily be transferred. So BTC can be served as the biggest source of corruption.
526  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Forks affect BTC positively on: December 17, 2017, 10:00:34 PM
BTC forks have created an aura of free goodies in the market. At the time BCH or BCH forking, investors took out their money from alt-coins and start buying BTC to have benefits of a free hard fork coins. But i think these hard forks are unable to fulfill the expectation of users and BTG seems to a useless crypto-coin. After this, investors are not at all interested in these Hardforks, and all the forking that is going to take place in month of DEC is going to be flop and useless.
527  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Coins real or fake? on: December 17, 2017, 09:50:46 PM
How did these new coins come about, there are so many. Are they owned by company? There are some with weird names. Are they all real or fake?

You mean alt-coins. As you know crypto-market is decentralized and unregulated so anyone with a new idea and technological backup can develop its own coin either by creating its own blockchain or on ETH platform. So if a coin has its own blockchain, it is not FAKE.
But question rises about its authentication, a lot of new ICO's are launched every day but most of them came out as a scam at the end. We should check the background of the developers of these ICO's to validate its authentication + the purpose of its development. If both these things are up to the mark then the coin is authenticated.
528  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2017-12-15] Ethereum Rises to All-Time High of $750: How Did it Happen? on: December 17, 2017, 09:18:57 PM
What I think is little different from your views.
According to me, Bitcoin Rush which we have noticed from Sept to first week of Dec has now been decelerated. Mainly due to forks, people started investing millions of dollars in Bitcoin during this time period.
But now once again Bitcoin market is little cool and investors started to diversifying their portfolio again. But this time, instead of going for ICOs or short cap coins, they chosing Large Cap coins.
The dramatic rise you talking about isn't just limited to Ethereum, if we study CoinMarketCap trends of all one or two weeks, all coins among top 10 has shown same tremendous rise.

Totally agree with you. ETH price rise not sudden but is definite. However, this rise got delayed because of fork dust then followed by pumping of some alt-coins. But soon ETH got a chance to show its potential and hit its all-time High. I am not surprised with its growth but still, I believe that ETH is quite under-rated as compared to other Alt-coins. ICO scams have discouraged investors and hence they started investing in large Market cap coins. In such conditions, I see ETH at $4000-4500 by the end of 2018
529  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin fever on: December 17, 2017, 08:57:17 PM
There is no single person on earth who haven't heard of bitcoin.
I don't agree with it. I mean max only 10% of the world population might have heard about BTC not more than that...reason is quite simple. More than 3 billion people earn and live less than $2.50 a day in which More than 1.3 billion are extremely poor so people who are struggling hard to meet 2 ends of life can't be expected to hear about any virtual currency.
Everyone is talking about it, it's all over the news, everyone is buying it, price is dramatically increasing.
It's like gold rush back in 1848.
Thats true BTC is trending on news nowadays, Investors are interested in buying it.

So why aren't we calling this bitcoin rush?
You know, in 20 years from now it would be funny to say - yeah, i bought/mined bitcoin during bitcoin rush back in 2017 Cheesy
We can't call it a rush....It is either a new trendsetter as new mode of payment or a revolution in world to get rid of fake Fiat web.
530  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Why is there such a lack of good signature campaigns these days? on: December 17, 2017, 08:36:25 PM
There are a lot of Signature campaigns that are running in Altcoins section even every day some new come there. BUt yes, Signature campaigns which pay in BTC is quite less now a days, I think the reason behind that BTC price surge and ICO banning in USA. BTC has soared a lot in last few days and today it has even touched $20k mark. So in that scenario, ICO companies need nearly 2.5x budget to run a signature campaign.
531  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: Alternatives to Blockchain.info? on: December 17, 2017, 08:15:45 PM
I find Mycelium as the best alternative to blockchain.info. Mycelium has some amazing features like custom tx fees which helps you to transfer your funds at low transaction fees, Easy to recover by 12/24 passphrase words.
Even Mycelium has been recognized as one of the best mobile wallets in the bitcoin industry, so much that it was awarded the 2014 “Best Mobile App” by Blockchain.info
532  Economy / Economics / Re: impacts off cryptocurrency on: December 16, 2017, 09:48:20 PM
How will it change and affect our our daiy lives?
It may increase our Earning and spending capacity. Therefore it may strengthen our economic condition.
But biggest hurdle which I think is that limited tech. accessibility in backward areas. Basic Facilities like the internet connection is missing in third world s could we expect them to be a part of this technological revolution.
533  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Top 2 altcoins to invest in NOW. on: December 16, 2017, 09:43:10 PM
ETH and DASH are the most trusted crypto-coins. Hope it will grow at the pace more than 5X in 2018.
Waves is also a good choice...It will definitely come on the list of TOP 10 coins in next 6 months.
534  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I'm very disappointed with myself. on: December 16, 2017, 09:41:12 PM
Stop blaming yourself or regret, it happens many times in the trading world. It is not just you who had taken a wrong decision. Crypto-market is so volatile that it is difficult to predict even for a professional trader. The sentiments of the market are really very difficult to understand. You need to have the technical knowledge and also contacts with so-called crypto-giants to understand the correct market movement.
535  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: ♨♨♨ Bitcoin's Price Is Too High ♨♨♨ on: December 16, 2017, 09:23:43 PM
Lets compare bitcoins price rise to a bottle of water. Since water is something EVERYONE needs

Water:

2008 - 50 cents
2017 - 1 dollar

2x increase

Bitcoin:

2008 - $0.003
2017 - $18,000 dollars

6,000,000x increase

Clearly water (and the demand for it) is more important than bitcoin. Yet water appreciated 2x in value while an imaginary, invisible, untangible thing called bitcoin has increased 6 million times. If water increased by the same amount it woud cost 3 million dollars for a bottle today.

Would you pay 3 million for 24 fluid ounces of water? No.

Then why would you buy bitcoin for the same inflated price?

Are you seriously comparing an investment tool to a consumable stuff!!!
Water or any consumable stuff can't be compared with BTC or stocks. In that way, Petrol or crude oil should also be at be $500 per litre.
one of the major reason behind vigorous price rice of BTC is its decentralization. No authority can regulate its price and trading. Moreover, it is only Investment tool which can trade all around the world without any hurdle.
So I think still its price is underrated as more n more people all around the world are interested to buy and invest in crypto-market every day.
536  Economy / Economics / Re: Israeli PM: Bitcoin Could Replace Banks on: December 16, 2017, 09:20:57 PM
Such a great news for BTC users. Israeli PM 'Benjamin Netanyahu' showed real courage to give an unbiased and realistic statement. This statement will definitely boost the confidence of Bitcoin enthusiasts.
But I think it will take some to stand BTC as a replacement for traditional bank or Traditional stock trading. But surely this is going to happen.
537  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin as a Medium of Exchange on: December 16, 2017, 09:03:36 PM
BTC is originally developed to use BTC as an alternative mode of payment. But with time it becomes more popular as a speculative instrument and an investment tool.
BTC is no longer used as a medium of exchange coz of it crazy High fees and delay in confirmation time. Moreover, volatility in BTC price also resist users to use it as a mode of payment
538  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: how does one sell their btc in a country where it's illegal ? on: December 16, 2017, 08:48:59 PM
Only way out I find is to sell BTC for Cash to a person who lives abroad country where BTC is legal or find someone who is interested in keeping BTC and pay your balance in cash. There is no way of selling BTC through an exchange from where you can get fiat money into your bank account.

540  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Are Now Used in Crimes on: December 15, 2017, 11:21:28 PM
BTC being decentralized and anonymity in a transaction is one of the major reasons why BTC is used in illegal activities like drug abuse(sale and purchase) and even terrorist activities.
This is the only reason why most country's central authorities are unable to evaluate the legal entity of BTC as a payment mode.
