521  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is not needed but only for investment purposes on: October 31, 2020, 06:41:46 AM
Bitcoin should not be compared to gambling.

As stated by a thread in the past, gambling could lose all your money but by investing in cryptocurrencies, you won't be losing that much, and the money you will earn or lose will depend on how much the price change. With a low adoption right now, it is true that it is mainly for investment but there are people that don't just take it as an asset.
522  Local / Others (Pilipinas) / Re: Ano ang IWE? on: October 31, 2020, 05:31:33 AM
any Idea Kung may website sila or social media? I checked around the internet looking IWE(Invest, earn, wait) and can't seem to find an active social media where they post their stuff. also, I see a lot of these investment scheme being posted on the comment section on FB but I just report them and move on.

Wala silang kahit anong social media page or website.

Until, may nagmy day na kakilala ko na nagtatanung about wanting to invest their money making three times sa amount na ibinigay nila.

For example, may kakilala ako na gustong sumali.
523  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Multi bets vs single bets on: October 31, 2020, 05:13:34 AM
I'm just betting for entertainment and just placing bet on the team that I support and really like and so I just bet on the who would win or who would lose in short a single bet. I think by just betting it's risky already but placing multiple bets would increase the risk.

I think in a different context it still depends right?

There are a lot of people that support a lot of teams or have a lot of team in mind that they could tell who would win ours not without analyzing since they have this deep knowledge of that certain sport or game. Let's say, he supports these teams and bet on them, he doesn't mind taking the risks since he will bet on them because he supports them.
524  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Death during illegal cockfighting raid on: October 31, 2020, 03:47:35 AM
That was unfortunate.

Condolences to his family. Just imagine doing your job and have been killed since some people can't hold their addiction to bet their money on this cockfighting. In my opinion, these people won't stop. They would continue to illegally hold these kinds of cockfighting to some secluded areas that may be farther from this law enforcement to do their vices. Despite the pandemic, they still do this?
525  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: If btc > $150k, will you still gamble it? on: October 31, 2020, 02:33:38 AM
If Bitcoin price reaches 150k dollars, I don't think that I will continue to bet. I have enough Bitcoin to be rich in a situation like that. I wouldn't need to bet anymore.

That's a new perspective..

But I guess that also rises a new question. Are you actually gambling to increase the number of your Bitcoins that you are holding or you are actually doing it for fun? Habit or not if your answer on the first question is yes I guess you would still continue to bet despite the price increase.
526  Economy / Economics / Re: The pandemic did push the world towards a more digital age. on: October 31, 2020, 01:24:51 AM
There are still problems though.

One of the most popular and most visible is that not all of us are ready for that digitalization, as my friends call it. There are a lot of countries that still can't support this and that is why they are struggling in this new meta. I think it still needs more time, which if we will be talking about against the pandemic, time that already ran out.
^ I must agree that pandemic did not push us to the digital age since prior to this covid 19 pandemic most of us already use digital transactions but because of the lockdown, we were able to realized and maximize the utilization of digital transactions. As an employee of e-commerce I can say that because of this pandemic we experienced a big leap in our sales compared to the days when we still do not have this pandemic but I also want to reiterate that I am not enjoying this lockdown because I just want to say that it can be beneficial to some industry but the majority remains suffering from this so I conclude that it is still not good. Going back to the post of OP, we are forced to embrace the digital age, and industries or businesses are getting prepared for this sudden change but the question is do people or ordinary citizens are already equipped for the changes? Globally 1st world countries can easily adapt to these changes but how 'bout the people from 3rd world countries where technologies and accessibility to the equipment needed for this digital age are not abundant as with the 1st world countries, how will they adapt and survive?

As a citizen from a third world country, I can say that people are having a hard time.

It is true that a lot of people here are using mobile phones, they have access to the internet and have a certain level of knowledge in term of using these technologies but that depends on the place where they are in. The closer people are in the cities, the more they are familiar with it, the farther people are in the cities, the more they are unfamiliar.

This pandemic, most of them are not actually adapting and still doing the normal transactions. Even in cities people are still doing the usual type of payment or transction.
527  Local / Others (Pilipinas) / Re: Anong nangyari? on: October 31, 2020, 01:17:14 AM

Totoo yun kabayan.

Pero karamihan sa kanila ay yung mga bounty signature campaigns at hindi yung mga campaigns wherein they will be paid using Bitcoin. Most of the campaigns I knew ay hindi counted or counted as half lang ang post in local boards tulad ng sinasalihan ko.
528  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bounty or Airdrop kill project? on: October 30, 2020, 10:26:40 AM
I dont know what you think guys but i think airdrop and bounty kill the project let say after the project finish the ico all the bounty and airdrop hnter sell their coin/token , this make te price go low.Since all of bounty and airdrp hunter did not care about the project.
i am not agree with you, bounty hunter also hold their coin. & not much amount given for bounty. i see that bounty budget is not a big amount & its didnt effect in price. so i think its not good idea about bounty /airdrop. research more

Not all of them though.

There are a lot of bounty hunters that killed a lot of projects in the future. For example, there are those projects that immediately release their coins after ICO, there are hunters that automatically list their coins to sell and price them based on that project's pricing. Then there are those that would price lower that would continue like a domino until the price is so low.
529  Local / Others (Pilipinas) / Re: pano kung ang pilipinas ay magka crypto but it has same value sa btc on: October 30, 2020, 10:10:32 AM
Huh Huh

But, I don't think na agad susuporta ang gobyerno dito.

531  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you think this is the start of mass adoption in Bitcoin? or Nah? on: October 30, 2020, 08:37:49 AM
Paypal is one of the most popular platforms.

With a hundred million users, I think it could start the step for mass adoption. I couldn't say that it is the start of the mass adoption but I think it is the first step to the steps needed to be taken for Bitcoin to be mass adopted. It still needed to be pushed, it still need that push and not just with Paypal but it needed more for people to believe and actually start using Bitcoin.
532  Local / Others (Pilipinas) / Re: Ano ang IWE? on: October 30, 2020, 07:44:31 AM

Smiley

For sure boss scam ito.

Sabi kasi nung admin nila, magkalokohan man daw kaya nyang ibalik yung puhunan nung mga naginvest. 21 yrs. old pa lang yung admin nila.

533  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: If btc > $150k, will you still gamble it? on: October 30, 2020, 07:33:39 AM
I am not addicted to gambling so I can say I won't.

But if the case is that I am an addicted gambler and the price rose, that doesn't matter. That just means that you can transact Bitcoins over a million dollar and you just need to send 9 of them. To most gamblers and addicted gamblers, I don't think price matters.
534  Local / Others (Pilipinas) / Re: Anong nangyari? on: October 30, 2020, 05:24:14 AM
Dahil ito sa signature campaign.

Hindi naman natin mapagkakaila na may mga gusto talaga kumita through this forum. Most of them gusto talagang makakuha ng merit but sana naman wag nating itake for granted na kababayan natin yung nagbibigay ng merit. Alam kong mahirap but that is the reason kung bakit nagkaroon ng ganitong sistema.

One of the reasons why I stopped posting here is dahil I've been used to visit other English threads than our local thread and most of the threads here ay Tagalog translation of those posts I've already seen kaya hindi na ako nagrereply hanggang sa ayun nga, nasanay na ako sa ganung sistema. So yeah, I will start posting here again kasi mali din naman tlaga ako kung tutuusin.
535  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Multi bets vs single bets on: October 30, 2020, 03:26:19 AM
I prefer single bets.

There are instances that I bet on teams that I know, most of the time that would be on esports like Dota 2 and CSGO, in sports I just do it on NBA but I only bet on one team. I think multi bets is more risky since you can't thoroughly analyze most of their games while you can do that with single bets.
536  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Does Bitcoin price rise affect your gameplay? on: October 30, 2020, 02:11:04 AM
People should just save their cryptocurrencies.

But the problem is that people don't care about that, as long as they can gamble they are fine. The price increasing would be good for investors but for the gamblers, I don't think so. I did see some changes to the fees in some online casinos in the past when the price increased but I don't know if that also happens these days.
537  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Online Gambling could be used to pay for covid problems on: October 29, 2020, 01:43:09 AM
for me i don't see anything wrong to it, let's just look at the situation we currently have and by regulating the online casinos it would help the government some extra financial support for the covid problems it might be an issue to some about the kyc however believe it or not we could benefit from it.

Not all of us though.

Not all of us would benefit from that KYC. For example those people that are using that certain gambling site whose not a citizen of that certain country which that site is regulated. That gambler will recieve no benefits at all, all they can receive is losses and wins they can still recieve in the past. All that changes is that they send their personal information.
538  Local / Others (Pilipinas) / Re: Ano ang IWE? on: October 28, 2020, 05:32:22 AM

539  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What happens to my bitcoin if I die today? on: October 28, 2020, 05:16:40 AM
Here is my question what happens to the bitcoin of someone who died and didn’t disclose his/her wallet details to anyone? please I need response . Would the bitcoin be abandoned in the wallet forever?? Would it be a waste of bitcoin?

It can't be used. You kept your Bitcoin in secret and that would be useless to you since you are gone.

Would the bitcoin be abandoned in the wallet forever??

It will be there forever and ever unless someone hacked into that wallet which I don't think will happen in this time.

Would it be a waste of bitcoin?

I don't think so. As there are a lot of Bitcoins unused inside of wallets, I think that also means the value of Bitcoin could increase. Lesser Bitcoins in the circulations that means a good value of Bitcoin, IMO.
540  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Price has surpassed $12k!!! on: October 28, 2020, 04:02:38 AM
At the moment Bitcoin price is slightly over 13k but I'm still not convinced that this is going to be the period of some bigger growth. We"ve seen many times so far that Bitcoin had troubles to keep the level that was omce reached. So far it looks that we can be optimistic but with some amount of caution.

Yes it is a time of high caution for the trap is open for unlucky investment but the issue for this is nobody can tell what can happen in the market from now because it is not easy to get a prediction right. Cryptocurrency is not easy to know about the times for real bull.

We never know what will happen.

The price last time I checked was just sitting at $13K, now it is at $13.8K and it might go even higher than this in the upcoming weeks or months. Still, we should wait as the price might go break resistance at $14K. Still surprised it went over $13.5K, I thought it would just be at the mouth of $13K for weeks.
