521  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Why people mostly fail in trading on: January 20, 2024, 09:21:42 PM
Majority of the traders lose because they don't have proper knowledge in trading and most likely because of emotional decision making. When you trade with emotions, your focus on your trade won't be 100% as your emotions will distract your concentration on the goal of your trades. When that happens, you are not trading anymore to achieve your trading goals, but you do trading just to satisfy the hunger of your emotions.

Emotions become your best enemy in trading, hence trading with high emotions is always discouraged.

Betting odds for the last game of the quarter finals is out. Tomorrow at 6:30 PM is the game, so don't miss this one.

I think we have the same line like in their first game, currently it's -4 for Meralco. Phoenix blew their best chance of winning, so I guess it will be tough for them to win here. But with the spread, I'm not sure if they'll cover that since Phoenix aren't giving up easily, so it could be a close game and Phoenix might cover if they lose.

Last game Perkins didn't play full minutes due to cramp I think, hopefully he'll come back healthy in this very special game. And for the Meralco, they might miss Hodge due to a possible sprain ankle.
523  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2024 NBA Season on: January 20, 2024, 09:08:33 AM
This time, they were up against the defending champion and it's going to hurt to see them losing at very close game again and snapping their winning streak at home.

They were up but not really in control of the game. I can't remember they were up double digit against the Nuggets, so I find it a close game. Murray as what we've seen is the most consistent guy on the Nuggets roster, without him, they won't be able to hand the Celtcis their first lose this season.

But don't worry, they already made a history for the season's best start in the Celtics franchise. A lose is a lose, there's nothing we can do about it and its not really a surprise because they're up against the defending champion.
524  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will the bitcoin ETF have any impact on the bitcoin price? on: January 19, 2024, 11:55:55 PM
We can see the price crashing since its release.

I would think that it will take a while for the ETF's to have any impact because they were just released.
While others have concluded that bitcoin ETF does not actually brings an advantage for bitcoin, I prefer to just believe that most probably, bitcoin ETF is still working on its process so it can offer opportunities and advantages to all bitcoin investors. This might not be possible this year, but hopefully in the long run we won’t be regretting that bitcoin ETF has finally approved.

Bitcoin price crash has nothing to do with bitcoin ETF, but most likely it’s high volatility. So we don’t have to blame this ETF for the current price crash, bitcoin has its due time when to rise high and when to drop its price.
525  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: A piece of advise to everyone. on: January 19, 2024, 09:44:12 PM
Yes, this should be applicable for both the newbie as well as senior members because there is no hard and fast rule that seniors can always be correct and newbie will always be at fault. One shouldn't take any response personally and even if we are pointing out someone's mistake it should be articulated in a way that it should be fair and not like calling them spammers or embarrassing them. Purpose of this forum is to share the knowledge which should be beneficial for everyone, let's maintain decorum and use this forum for it's purpose as it's not social media to argue over petty things.
You’re right. It’s not right over wrong here but everyone should be given the chance to share its own insights and feels free to accept correction if there is any so that he will stop doing the same mistake again. And there’s no superiority here, everyone is fair regardless if its position. The forum is designed to establish learning on both sides, most especially for newbies who are still in the process of acquiring learning and skills.
526  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2023-2024 betting on: January 19, 2024, 08:04:54 AM
@danherbias07 nice run, 3/4 today is impressive. You lose to the Sacramento Kings who are now on their 4 losing streak, I can't believe the struggle of this team. In this game, they were down big early, had a good run in the 4th but still fall shot, if only Fox were able to hit that tying 3, this game could have went to overtime, and from their I think Sacramento will have an edge.

Next game they'll be playing the Hawks, but before that, they'll have a 3 days rest, enough for them to figure out how to get back winning again.

With their losing streak, that put them on the rank 7 in the West.

528  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Can I become a professional trader? on: January 18, 2024, 11:57:00 PM
Learning all the fundamentals and technicalities in trading does not make you an instant professional trader. Of course, it takes time before you can develop professional trading. It could be years or a decade, it varies based on how long the experience needed for you to be able to become a successful and professional trader. But one thing is certain, everything is done with hardwork and patience, before you can see yourself totally good and experienced in trading.
529  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2024 NBA Season on: January 18, 2024, 08:17:05 AM

Lakers is really running out of options since they don't have good pieces to trade for him and they can't also let go those players what other team wants on the trade.

Then no trade will happen. I think Lakers are good enough with the current roster, they just face some minor problems but now they are back on the winning track. 2 straight wins against 2 good teams, first OKC and now Dallas (irving and Luka), sure their confidence are now back.

Lakers have to live with their identity, they continue being a good defensive team and they need to protect Davis as he is the key for this team to win a championship again. A healthy Davis + Lebron is a big threat among the teams regardless of their ranking.
530  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2024 NBA Season on: January 17, 2024, 07:56:49 AM
Paul George had himself a night as well as he carried the Clippers in the second half to a victory over the Oklahoma City Thunder. He ended up with 38 points in his best game of the year. Westbrook had a pretty nice highlight down the stretch as well. They have the best record in the league since November 7th when they got things together.

He certainly had his confidence boost, he can't stop making shots especially beyond the arc. IIRC, the 2 back to back triples hit the OKC hard that they cannot come back anymore. However, that wasn't the turning point, it all started with Dort reckless move trying to fish a foul but ended up getting an offensive foul. Additionally, SGA was pretty limited this game, he scored less than 20 points which is uncharacteristics of him since he average 31 points this season.
531  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Lomachenko vs. Kambosos - May 12 IBF Lightweight Title on: January 17, 2024, 07:10:32 AM
Loma is currently -430 as per https://www.oddschecker.com/us/boxing-mma/boxing/vasyl-lomachenko-v-george-kambosos-jnr.

The line says it all, Loma is the heavy favorite to win the fight. Though I must say that it's a big fight but I cannot expect that Kambosos here will win the fight. Loma is too technical, if he was just dominated by Haney, then this guy who almost beat Haney might probably do the same to him, worst is it could knock him out and might result to retiring early.

Risky decision by Kambosos but I like his courage though.
532  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Don't trust social media on: January 15, 2024, 07:24:15 PM
It’s crazy to think that anyone would fall for this nonsense. Why would I let someone else create a bitcoin wallet for you when I can easily learn how to do that by browsing the internet. “Not your keys, Not your bitcoins.”
if you go through the comments sections their are so many people who are so interested in this.

The people in the comments might also be part of the scam. In scams like this, the scammer usually play different roles, they have different accounts which are used to signify interest in the comments and also to post testimonies of how successful they have become because they trusted so and so platform or trader.
That's how greed can manipulate a person's right thinking and turns into doing something stupid like entrusting its own wallet to someone that he really doesn't know that much. Remember that securing privacy will prevent our wallet from hacking, but with one's greed, that will be set aside already.

And you're right there, scammers have also their multiple roles to play so that their acting becomes more authentic that will easily deceive those innocent newbies in the market.
533  Economy / Economics / Re: Financial education and why it should be a priority. on: January 15, 2024, 06:48:12 PM
Financial education is a skill that is not been taught in schools, but to me it's the most important subject a man must learn in other to be financially independent.
There is a need to revise these curriculum and syllabuses of the schools and we need more of these type of education than of the subjects that teaches us theoretical things.

I am not against with the current system but change is need for the younger generation to understand what is a must in today's world.

Not just about financial education but also other things like life survival skills, cooking at a young age but I know some schools does this but it is not a standard for most.
However, even if schools teach the appropriate courses that would create higher financial stability, it's undeniable that majority still fail in their real life financial management. Not because they don't actually understand what it takes to be financially stable, but most likely people resort having unrealistic budget plan and unrealistic financial goals, the reason why no matter how well they're taught in schools, success will never be achieved by them.
534  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What would it be like owning a Bitcoin in 2024? on: January 15, 2024, 06:17:45 PM
It would be more risky in the future if you haven't own even a portion of bitcoin. A lot of people are now already seeing their future with bitcoin, so don't be left behind with this great opportunity to start investing and hold bitcoin for longer years.

Owning bitcoin in 2024 is like a dream come true for everyone who exactly knows the value of bitcoin. But for those who thinks bitcoin is a ponzi scheme, I think no matter how expensive bitcoin is, they will never be attracted to invest in bitcoin but rather chose fiat investment for life.
535  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: January 15, 2024, 05:34:19 AM
^^ For sure, Casimero is going after Inoue but he has to wait, and all he can do right now is call him through his social media accounts and it's obvious that it's just for publicity stunt as he knows that his time is running out.
I think Casimero deserve to fight against Inoue, if not only beacuse of the ranking of Casimero, he for sure is the best opponent of Inoue that could potentially beat the Beast. We all know what happen to Casimero, he didn't lose to a fighter, he just made a mistake that's why he was stripped with his belt. So with that, I still think that Casimero is still a dangerous fighter that's why Inoue can't say yes to him.

Inoue is scheduled to fight Nery and then another boxer that Tapales has beaten already. And only after that Casimero might get his chance, but still up to Inoue as Casimero's name is somewhat in the middle as far as super bantamweight goes as he is no longer a champion, so he has no leverage but to create a hype and call Inoue in his social media for publicity.

Next could be Akhmadaliev as he is next in line, but who knows, if Inoue will skip him after Nery, the better, it's good for boxing, as no one would watch Inoue fighting a boxer that was already defeated by a champ he recently defeated. Inoue- Casimero, is more interesting to watch.
536  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2024 NBA Season on: January 15, 2024, 05:01:38 AM
PG having a bad night so far against the Wolves with 1 of 10 FG. Good thing Powell is having a better first half so the game is still close. Kahwi with more shot attempts in the first half which I find unusual but he is doing okay.

Ended up with 16 points from 5-19 shooting, and not only PG actually, even Harden struggles who finished 14 points from 4-14 shooting. Height is might, when the twin towers of the Wolves are playing great, they'll likely win, and in this game, Gobert and Towns contributed 15 and 17 respectively.

They are the number 1 team for a reason, but it's still good to see that the LA Clippers has been tested, this game turns out a close contest despite the Wolves took control of the game early.
537  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What is your advised for being a trader? on: January 14, 2024, 11:28:02 PM
Trading without prior knowledge on trading will most likely end up gambling. Once you enter trading and risk your funds, at least you should have gained reliable experiences in trading that will minimize your losses since you know already how to back up your trades when there are difficulties that appear instantly while trading. Trading is a battle of mind and skills, if you think you don’t have what it takes to be a responsible trader, then I suggest just settle on long term hodling than risking all your funds trading without certainty.
538  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Knowing Bitcoin price history is important on: January 14, 2024, 10:44:55 PM
If you are a long term hodler you don't need to worry about the ups and downs but if you try to look at the chart from 2011 to 2024 price performs great in uptrend position. Though we are not sure on the future performance of Bitcoin but past performances might give us a clue on how it may perform in the future.
If you are a long term hodler, you will know that bitcoin always recovers even from its deepest price drops so you don’t need to worry knowing bitcoin always dominates the market. But still, price history is very important so we will know how how bitcoin price moves in the future, and if it’s still capable to surpass all its ups and downs without seeing bitcoin price completely losing its value.
539  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022–23 PBA Commissioner's Cup on: January 14, 2024, 09:58:01 AM
I think I'm gonna stick with the ROS, they are playing well and they have a good standing that could make them qualify in the quarter Finals.
On the 2nd game, I'm gonna be betting on the underdog which I'm sure it will be the Phoenix, betting on the handicap here.

This is a non bearing game I guess as a win here by ROS will not give them a twice to beat advantage. So with that, I have the Converge here who are still looking for another win after this losing streak, they only 1 win this season, at least make it 2 before it closes. Thus far, nothing extraordinary is happening, it's still a close contest in the 1st quarter.

You almost got the "W". Smiley

The ROS team choked in the 4th quarter, despite having a comfortable lead to cover the -6.5 spread. They played recklessly, allowing multiple three-point shots from Converge. Fortunately, the last shot didn't go in due to a turnover, avoiding a potential upset. I'm sorry about your bet; perhaps taking the handicap would have been a safer choice. Nevertheless, Great job to your courage in making the bet.
540  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Alter Ego In Gambling on: January 14, 2024, 01:09:43 AM
I think I don't have that kind of "Alter Ego ", because in real life, I'm an investor and I'm into business. That alone demonstrate my personality that I'm a risk taker, and we know gambling is risk taking.

What I'm doing all the time is I do some Calculated Risk, because for me that's very important if we want to stay at minimal risk and we won't go reckless. Getting reckless is losing control in gambling, and once we lose control, the outcome is certain and that is we might lose everything we deposit and worst is we might end up adding more since we are into this kind of "chasing our losses" situation.
