PinkPi Final Stages & Big Partnership on the HorizonThe PinkPi device is closer to launch than ever before. The code is in the final stages of getting checked for security, functionality, and overall ease of use. Since the announcement of the device just a few months ago, we have made great strides in planning a global adoption of Pink and getting PoS systems into more hands making PINK more secure and more reliable. This product will take PINK to the next level by branching us out into crypto specific hardware devices, launching our new arm PinkLabs. The goal with this device has always been to help bring more people into crypto by introducing an easy to use PoS device that runs on ultra low energy, doesn’t take up a lot of space, and is affordable for everyone. PinkLabs will be a hardware specific arm of Pinkcoin and will be used to develop crypto themed devices that will aid in the mass adoption of Pinkcoin and cryptocurrencies. Our first line of products will be focused on the staking (PoS)&(FPoS) of Pinkcoin through various devices starting with the PinkPi device, built on top of Raspberry Pi’s fleet of boards. Lastly, we will be announcing our partnership with an amazing organization, TBA by end of this week, that will act as our hardware supplier/designers and main resource and partner for PinkLabs. They have been in the hardware industry for over a decade, have extensive knowledge on the devices we will be designing, and will be an invaluable partner for Pink helping us reach new audiences and new services. They have distribution channels setup across the globe and the resources to help us push these devices for mainstream adoption. Look out for our announcement on our new partner within the week. And yes, this device will be able to be purchased with PINK. https://medium.com/@Elypse_Pink/pinkpi-final-stages-big-partnership-on-the-horizon-f84b60afbe8

Announcing OmiseGO Town Hall 0x1On January 31st at 3:00 AM UTC, we will be having the very first OmiseGO virtual town hall to kickoff 2018. We believe this is a great chance for the community to interact with the OmiseGO team, hear updates, and get your questions answered. As we’ve seen from other live streams, fielding live questions can be chaotic. To make sure the best questions get surfaced and to give the team a proper chance to prepare answers we’re going to take questions in a Reddit thread. https://blog.omisego.network/announcing-omisego-town-hall-0x1-338a7b7ea897

Bringing Identity To CryptoWe partnered with Jumio to offer secure identity verification, which can be linked to a Byteball address and used on demand To be relevant in the real world, we need more anchors to the real world. One of them is identity. Starting today, every Byteball user can link his Byteball address to his real world identity. The user’s personal data is verified by Jumio, the leading provider of identity verification services, and stored in the user’s Byteball wallet. At the same time, a hash of the personal data is stored on the public DAG and signed by a trusted attestor. The attestor also serves as a witness, so it is already trusted. This attestation allows the user to prove to anybody that his Byteball address is linked to a verified person, without disclosing any personal information. It also allows to reveal the private information to individual service providers on demand, and the service provider can easily verify authenticity of this information using the hash stored on the public DAG. https://medium.com/byteball/bringing-identity-to-crypto-b35964feee8e

Modex is scouting for talent: Blockchain developers wanted!Companies are becoming more and more interested in incorporating Blockchain solutions to optimize their businesses. Banks, financial institutions, government agencies, insurance and tech companies are showing increasing interest in running Blockchain platforms to better service their clients and users and to optimize the efficiency of their own businesses. As a result, the demand for Blockchain developers has been on the rise and is expected to thrive in the new year. Modex is among the first platforms to invite talented developers to showcase their talents and get rewarded for it, while presenting them diverse and creative projects to work for. The Modex Smart Contract Marketplace helps Blockchain developers get paid for their development skills and rewards them up to 1,500 MDX, just for joining the platform. Moreover, Modex will offer developers the chance to create and sell smart contracts to businesses which are looking to build and implement Blockchain apps, but don’t have Blockchain developers on staff. Registered developers will be rewarded by businesses that want to use the smart contracts they create. “Modex will provide developers and businesses an easy to use Smart Contract Marketplace — a forum for developers to showcase their skills and offer Smart Contract solutions to end-customers and contributors.”, explains Mihai Ivascu, CEO and Founder of Modex. “This will provide a way for the real-world community to easily find smart contracts that meet real-world needs, without having to scout developers and manage one-off development for their individual project. At the same time developers will be able to build a reputation and pipeline based on their accomplishments, allowing them to get clients and gain recurring revenue against the on-going sale of their smart contracts.”, adds Ivascu. Businesses can use smart contracts for all sort of situations, ranging from financial services (such as loans, or recurring payment programs), to insurance premiums, breach contracts, property law, rental agreements, credit enforcement, legal processes, crowdfunding agreements, and much more. “The Modex Smart Contract Marketplace will start by focusing on Ethereum based smart contracts, and over time it will add the ability for various protocols that also support smart contracts to be utilized. Modex is considering protocols such as: Coco, Komodo, NEM, Waves etc.” The Smart Contract Marketplace will hugely benefit the community by both providing a revenue source for smart contract developers and by making the blockchain technology more approachable and easier to implement for businesses. “With Modex, developers can sell their smart contracts to thousands of businesses worldwide. Think of it as the blockchain’s app store. If you’re a blockchain developer and you develop a smart contract, you can sell it on Modex and get to serve potentially tens or hundreds of businesses. Once you upload a smart contract, it goes through a thorough security audit and penetration testing. This makes your work much safer and more valuable in the end.”, explains Mihai Ivascu. https://blog.modex.tech/modex-is-scouting-for-talent-blockchain-developers-wanted-12396f840e81

In our 2018 product vision post we detailed where we want to focus and what our main product efforts will be — the ones that we believe will drive Kin usage and adoption among users and developers. A Technical Overview of the Lamden Tau BlockchainThe original whitepaper outlines most of the tooling that will be produced as part of the Lamden platform. However, there is not much included information on the Lamden Tau Blockchain, although we have written about some of the features in other piece of content, such as the interoperability of the chain, the Turing incomplete smart contracting language, etc. This will serve as an official overview of the Lamden Tau Blockchain that will be produced. Based on community feedback, this will be the first deliverable of our project so token holders can begin to utilize this technology as soon as possible. https://blog.lamden.io/a-technical-overview-of-the-lamden-tau-blockchain-42a3f4295c1f
