Ok chat works, but I've still a little doubt!
What's the utility of this feature? I mean if I can just talk with only one person, why I need it?
you can have multiple chats going at once, it is not just limited to 1 user

in the shortcut
use
"C:\Program Files (x86)\XCurrency-test\XCurrency-qt.exe" -addnode=104.131.208.92 -addnode=104.131.207.232 -addnode=192.241.195.38
the params go after the quote
I just updated the installer, so it will automatically create the shortcut correctly, go ahead and download - http://downloads.xc-official.com/release/windows/setup.exe

Okay Step #1, go to receive coins, create a NEW entry for XChat
Step #2, go to address book, add a new entry for the person you want to chat with
Step #3, go to messages, select your address from step #1 (this goes in from field)
Step #4, put address from step #2 in the to field
Step #5, paste users pubkey in key field

Has anyone been able to get the mac wallet to sync? I have installed it twice and waited 24 hours for it to sync but still no luck.
Updated mac-wallet and linux wallets coming this week but you can use the addnodes east01.xcnode.xc-official.com east02.xcnode.xc-official.com west01.xcnode.xc-official.com west02.xcnode.xc-official.com

For testing XChat
use
C:\Program Files (x86)\XCurrency>XCurrency-qt.exe -addnode=104.131.208.92 -addnode=104.131.207.232 -addnode=192.241.195.38
|
|
|
For testing - since not all nodes are updated - use these settings
XCurrency-qt.exe -addnode=104.131.208.92 -addnode=104.131.207.232 -addnode=192.241.195.38

There is an update in the works to resolve the performance issue with XChat on mainnet, until the next update please hold off from further testing on mainnet

Yes testnet is different
make sure your own version 2.47d, you can rename peers.dat to peers.old, run client, it should resync

so just downloaded the qt app, but for some reason it is not establishing a connection. any ideas?
this release should seed on its own, if not you can use the addnode also you can rename peers.dat to peers.old, in %appdata%\XCurreny, then launch client

is this todays release? or is there still yet another release coming later today ? This is the current "TEST" release -which is the RC for tonight's release Also for anybody having issues syncing with the test release, those issues have been resolved, just re-start your client. Thanks, Dan

Am I supposed to have a conf file for the linux wallet? It's showing that I have 0 active connections. UPnP is enabled, in case that matters.
Create a file called XCurrency.conf in the app directory ($HOME/.XCurrency probably) with the following content: addnode=east01.xcnode.xc-official.com addnode=west01.xcnode.xc-official.com addnode=west02.xcnode.xc-official.com
Then restart the wallet. Thanks for the tip, still no connections though. The wallet version I'm using is v0.9.2.0x11-coin-1.0, that seems like a super old one? Updated linux and mac wallets coming a few days after the windows relase tomorrow night
