521  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Eth season or alt season already? on: January 11, 2021, 08:46:09 PM
The problem with Ethereum now is that many of these tokens are talking away value from its platform, I have a feeling people are overestimating the price potential of Ethereum, just look at the gas price recently, people are paying $10 for transaction and you want the price of Ether to hit $1k, that means people will start paying $100 per transaction
522  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Forgotten coin that has the potential to make you rich on: January 11, 2021, 08:23:17 PM
I don't advice anyone not to buy into old projects reason being that they have many bag holders, what do you think will happen to the price when it hit the price I bought it, I will sell. These bag holders are just waiting for new people to sell their bags to. I will rather buy new projects where there is enthusiasm is still high at the price is going to the moon
523  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Restart Energy Democracy exciting news on: January 11, 2021, 08:02:22 PM
I can't believe this project raised more than $20 million then and have nothing to show for it, I could remember holding the tokens for a very long time hoping it will pump until I dump when all the value has already be lost. I don't think they can offer anything new now because the team would have burnt most of their cash reserve. I lesson well learnt about all these ICOs, do not marry your bag
524  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum now looks like a complete joke on: January 11, 2021, 07:58:59 PM
Market moves in Circle and when I see post like this it makes me feel like we are almost at the bottom and Altcoins is set to pump, during DEFI mad run between July to September nobody talks about the gas price because they are all making money and the profit will pay for the gas, I believe with all the solutions people are proposing for the L2 the issue of gas will be alleviated for sometime until Ethereum 2.0 is launched
525  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are you in panic whenever there is a big drop in price? on: January 11, 2021, 07:53:51 PM
A good trader will know that this pump is not sustainable, we have seen the price move from $10k to $40k and we should expect a correction, I expect Bitcoin to correct and allow Altcoins also to shine, most of the gains in Altcoins since October has been as Bitcoin price going up. Take profit now if you can't swallow what you are seeing the in the market
526  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The fate of privacy cryptocurrencies on: January 10, 2021, 06:21:48 PM
I think their future is save provided Binance did not delist them. The thing in the privacy space is that we are now seeing boys being separated from men. I think the big boys like Monero will continue to do well because there will always be demand for it from the Dark market and the likes of Dash will continue to do irrelevant because their solutions is not really private
527  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Sperax - A crypto gem under the radar on: January 10, 2021, 06:18:53 PM
The thing about the project is that it has very strong backers and investors but has less hype in the space. I want to look at the tokenmetrics because this is very important to me, if I will invest into the project, I can't find any also why is the current circulating tokens not reflected on coingecko. I personally don't see anything new in the project but quality of the investors is what really make me to look into
528  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The problem on: January 10, 2021, 06:13:52 PM
I don't think price do matter  a lot during ICO/IEO, it is the total numbers of tokens that matter, just look at XRP, its price is $0.3 but have a total circulating tokens around 45 billion tokens, unlike Ethereum with price of $1300 and circulating tokens of around 114 million. I think the design of tokenmetrics is very important to be able to build strong community around your project like YFI team did
529  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: altocoin inovations on: January 10, 2021, 06:08:44 PM
I think people need to understand that there is no new innovations on Altcoins that can't be ported to Bitcoin network. People need not to forget that the scaling issue on Bitcoin is still there, it is not that is gone, when this is resolved we can have new ideas pop up on Bitcoin.
530  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Exchange in US must face regulations? on: January 10, 2021, 06:05:53 PM
It is true this can cause delay, but I don't expect anyone that want to launch their exchange in US at this stage to not know how to go around the current regulations, It is possible there is more to this delay than the team is letting out, we are in a bull market and even some of these small exchanges have seen their volume shoot up significantly so when are they going to launch the exchange
531  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Issue withdrawing from Metamask on: January 09, 2021, 07:35:19 PM
I don't think there is issue with MetaMask but Ethereum gas price, the price is so high now and what I do is to waiting the time transaction will be low before I send my transactions. I will advice you to use MyCrptowallet or Myetherwallet both are user friendly and you can edit the gas price and set it yourself provided you don't need the transaction to be done fast
532  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: want to know about "real estate investment marketplace with crypto" on: January 09, 2021, 07:32:12 PM
The only Real estate project I know in the space is propy you can check it out on coinmarketcap, the project was able to raise a lot of funds during last ICO bull run and the token price crashed during the bear market but the team seems to be committed to the project and are still building their platform but the platform has not gained much traction in the crypto space so far
533  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: So is it appropriate for us to BUY XRP now? on: January 09, 2021, 07:28:06 PM
Anyone buying XRP now and not dumping is, is bound to lose money. If you see big players in the space dumping their XRP tokens at the latest opportunity, you think you know what they do not know. Everything is wrong about XRP but some people holding the price are dreaming of the price touching more than $1 again, good luck losing money when others are making money
534  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ETH high gas fee on: January 09, 2021, 07:22:13 PM
This high gas is not sustainable and I believe everyone agrees with this, one thing I do not understand is what all these Dapps developers are doing, why not use existing L2 solutions we already have in the space, look at Perp.fi team what they do, they launch their platform on XDai chain and the fee has negligible as compared to trading on L1. I don't know if this is laziness on the side of the developers or they are just taking their users for granted
535  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Eth season or alt season already? on: January 09, 2021, 07:18:27 PM
I don't think we can talk of any Altcoin season if Bitcoin price continue to pump, Altcoin season will start when Altcoin start to increase both in BTC value and USD value. Everyone is waiting fro Bitcoin correction even the big player but it seems Tether printing is going to continue until January 15 when Tether face SEC again in the court till then we need to wait
536  Economy / Economics / Re: The Rise of Layer 2s Could Spell End for Altcoins (opinion) on: January 06, 2021, 10:20:47 AM
The more Ethereum stall their migration to Ethereum 2.0 the more the arguement for layer 2 solutions is going to go stronger. We are going to see Dapps prefer to launch on layer 2 now and I believe most Dapps looking to launch this year will be looking at the available layer 2 solutions and how they fit into their own plans. The issue I have about these layer 2 is the loss of  decentralization
537  Economy / Economics / Re: My Perfect View of the new economy on: January 06, 2021, 10:11:34 AM
What I see in coming years is that there will be two blockchains, one that is controlled by Banks but merged with the public chains and another is the public chain that is controlled by people, but the value will be held more on the public blockchains, no one will trust all these bankers and government to control their finances
538  Economy / Economics / Re: Premium of USDT has been maintained in current bull run on: January 06, 2021, 10:08:07 AM
The increase in insuance rate of USDT is becasue of the demand from Asian, the major if not only stable coins used in Asia  and South America is USDT and we all know what happens to most of these Fiat currencies last year, they have depreciated against USD, so people need to move their money into USD, you can't get USD from bank but can buy USDT from exchanges. I believe USDT will hit $100 Billion this year
539  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Amepay raised 84.6 million in their IEO on: January 05, 2021, 12:58:37 PM
The most important thing for the team is to focus on getting users to use their product, good they have successfully raise some fund which IMO should help them to scale their platform but if care is not taking they can get carried away and focus only on the price of their tokens and not the project, because their will come a time when the price will dump below the ICO price and their would be noise and FUD everywhere
540  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Ethereum May Surpass Bitcoin’s Market Cap in the Next 10 Years on: January 05, 2021, 12:52:41 PM
I will start taking this talk of Ethereum flipping Bitcoin serious when Ethereum is done with its scaling issue, Ethereum have this issue now that it could become useless for Dapps and if we can get a successful L1 scaling solution on other platform this could be the beginning of the end for Ethereum. I just hope the fee and the transaction speed is brought down significantly
