521  Economy / Gambling / Re: cryptogames.io sending litecoin withdraws out with no fee on: May 16, 2017, 06:10:32 PM
I am sure majority of people who are complaining about the high amount of transaction fees can have something like this, there won't be need for the threads created for such purpose. They sent your withdrawal without even charging you any fee, which is more like a bonus to you, yet you are complaining the moment it has arrived in your preferred wallet, then case is solved.
522  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BREAKING NEWS: Bitcoin Dominance < 50% on: May 16, 2017, 06:01:31 PM
Market capitalisation to me is not really a determining factor. There are several coins in the crypto space all fighting for relevance but comparing them to bitcoin because there was just a day dip for the bitcoin does not mean they are taking over couple with the difficulty being experienced in mining bitcoin these days compared to other alt happening around. All these put together to me does not displace bitcoin.
523  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is all over the mainstream media lately on: May 16, 2017, 05:18:55 PM
I have seen bitcoin mentioned in TV and radio programs in the past hours due the ramsomware attack. Some people did a surprisingly good job at promoting it as a neutral tool and not as a tool for criminals, drug dealers and so on, so that was positive.

Did you see it on the mainstream media in your country? what did they say?

Im also wondering if all publicity is good publicity or not. Im not sure if the fact that being linked to the ramsomware thing is good even if it helps spreading BTC out, but most people are idiots and will not research further so it all comes down to how much of a good job the person explaining BTC does.

The publicity is actually a good thing depending on the areas where we are looking at it because even though the media outburst is mostly ways to pull down bitcoin but what they dont know is that those who are into bitcoin are not leaving while those outside the crypto world that are getting their interest aroused and then indirectly bring them or drag them into bitcoin and by so doing it means increase in the penetration of bitcoin.

525  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bank in Norway now supports Bitcoin on: May 14, 2017, 04:02:53 PM
A bank called Skandiabanken in Norway now supports Bitcoin. However you cannot purchase the Bitcoins through the bank, you'll be redirected to Coinbase in order to buy.

I don't have this bank myself, so I cannot test this. It seems like it's just linked to Coinbase and the bank does not store the coins on their servers.

This feature is in a beta phase, and the laws in Norway could cause conflicts. I think this is a huge step, and I hope this will soon be supported in more banks. This feature is mainly for investors, you cannot use it to pay bills and such.

Here's a link to the article translated to English:  https://translate.googleusercontent.com/translate_c?depth=1&nv=1&rurl=translate.google.no&sp=nmt4&tl=en&u=http://e24.no/privat/bitcoin/naa-faar-du-bitcoin-i-nettbanken-kan-ikke-fornekte-ny-teknologi/23996559&usg=ALkJrhjVd47hlRvCuPcMw4r7-8SKmywfYw
Wow, that's another good news coming from that end and gradually the penetration is  happening. What is next is for them to deploy all their infrastructure to support bitcoin rather than the referral that is currently being obtained and this can be replicated to other countries gradually.

526  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is useless or is it? on: May 14, 2017, 12:54:30 PM
With transaction costs rising above $1 the original promise of cheap remittance using Bitcoin is officially dead. Without utility Bitcoin use is limited to speculation only and even further what is there to speculate about?

I would like to debate this and gauge the community's response to Bitcoin experiment.

With the in increase in the amount being paid for transaction fees which is quite unfortunate but that does not mean the end of bitcoin we are always very happy to see increase in the price of bitcoin and quickly with the "bitcoin to the moon" threads but not with the cost attached to it. If the rate of increase of transaction has not overshadowed the increase in price, people will continue using bitcoin and its death is not near.
527  Other / Off-topic / Re: Bitcoin is gonna die soon! on: May 14, 2017, 12:10:36 PM
High fees will not kill bitcoin by any means because so far I can get my transaction done after all with all the other advantages bitcoin I can still live with the high fees however, the only thing I will see as discouragement and not absolute challenge is the duration of time it takes for transaction to get confirm which now ranges from 3 to several hours.
528  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin on South Korea on: May 14, 2017, 06:31:11 AM
I didn't notice until now (either that or the exchanges are indeed new) that we have south Korean exchanges and they have huge trading volumes.

[1] https://coinmarketcap.com/exchanges/korbit/
[2] https://coinmarketcap.com/exchanges/coinone/
[3] https://coinmarketcap.com/exchanges/bithumb/

I believe that Chinese exchanges stopping withdrawal for a period of time is somehow good for bitcoin. It allowed to other exchanges to step up (Japanese and Koreans) and not giving monopoly to Chinese.
The issue I have seen is that crypto presents opportunity for all and if one person is being sluggish about such opportunity, others  will step in and exploit that to their own advantage which is a good thing to everyone. The Chinese have their day by being in the position of determining the direction of the price by any news from their end but they blew it and now others are springing up which I am happy about that no country will have monopoly over bitcoin.
529  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 22 year old discovers wannacry ransomware kill switch by accident on: May 13, 2017, 10:17:05 PM
If that is the case, I wouldn't believe such thing because it just does not add up that a system built to siphone such amount of fund will just be taken down with little or no effort at all will be a mystery that is yet to be solved. Its just like someone arguing sometimes in the past few days about trying to know the wallet that contained Satoshi's stash then I ask myself will he be so foolish to have made it so obvious for anyone to see it if he could build something anonymous as bitcoin.
530  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Tainted Bitcoins? on: May 13, 2017, 08:41:02 PM
I am actually reading about tainted bitcoin for the first time and even the way the tainted bitcoin came about but the issue is how do one get it tainted especially where its a scam situation. Do I report somewhere or I paste the transaction id somewhere? Also, I feel it won't still have any effect since we already have a mixing service to clean it of.
531  Economy / Economics / Re: Nowhere to Hide: IMF Advocates a Cashless World on: May 12, 2017, 12:13:18 PM
In the 21st century, cashless world is here whether we like it or not and the teeming population especially those who have the little ability of using the internet couple with affordable smart phones would continue to embrace it because it makes our life easier. Even the bitcoin we have today, majority of us don't have the physical coin rather the e-bitcoin so its not a bad thing but rather a development in the right direction for everyone to tap into.
532  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: A serious obstacle for bitcoin's popularity on: May 12, 2017, 11:24:38 AM
Yesterday morning I wanted to sell some btc and get my local currency. The suggested transaction fee was something like 0.0005 which is (was) less than dollar. Anyway, I agreed and was waiting for the transaction to proceed. Mostly I get lucky and my transactions are confirmed in a few minutes. This one is still pending after more than 24 hours (it's been 30 hours already). I believe if nothing can be done with this, bitcoin will inevitably stop at some point and won't be able to become more popular. Waiting for money for dozens of hours is just too wrong.

In all sincerity this issue is really getting to a head that is a point where its becoming unbearable. In the past year where some of the advantages that is being discussed on the thread concerning bitcoin are how fast transactions are and how cheap they are compared to other means of transferring funds across borders but it seems these two important qualities are gradually turning into a myth and its not showing any sign of abatement. Something really needs to be done about this.
533  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Problem Bitcoin volatile Nature on: May 12, 2017, 11:02:35 AM
In as much as the volatility nature of bitcoin is discouraging some large entrants into the space, I still feel its one and another thing that is still attracting a lot of people into the space as well for people who prefer to use it as a commodity rather than a medium of exchange. Also, we need to know that bitcoin is till at a penetration stage where entrants are equally distorting the market structure of demand and supply which I hope the moment the entrants is being regulated or gotten to the point where the ratio is the same as those leaving then we can have stability until then nothing is happening on the contrary.
534  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Phenomenal rise of Bitcoin price! on: May 12, 2017, 10:43:22 AM
As we are already witnessing price rise. I think it will reach 6000$ milestone this year end. Do you agree? What do you think? What are the reasons behind this price rise?
With the way price is going, its not out of place or out of order to start assuming that it could get that high but the simple truth there is that can it actually reach that high without forces trying to curtail such influence. The issue is that bitcoin has been able to be potent against the news coming from China to wittle it down but in this case I see beyond China coming with the attacks and when it happens, will bitcoin be able to stand that and still maintain the increment in price?
535  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Please dump it on: May 12, 2017, 09:15:28 AM
I have lost the run since I sold all my btc exactly the day before the rise. Now I want to come back but price is too high. Please tell the Chinese to make a dump so I can join again. Thanks

I tell you the feeing is the same everywhere but unfortunately, you cannot take it back. That's the way the market is configured where some people will lose while others will win. I am sure you must have made some profit because at the time you bought it, the price must have been lower compared to the amount you sold it. That's why I always settle in my mind before selling to be sure if I am ready to face whatever happen to price afterwards.
536  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What is Farming Faucets and Harvesting Logins? on: May 11, 2017, 09:44:01 PM
Often they say: Bitsler or primedice are all a scams!. .... and so on .... ! For to come to slam we have to use spam against scam and scum!
Bitlser and primedice are reputed dice sites and if you can provide any proof you can very well do that rather than simply
crying about a scam when you start loosing money, these are not investment sites, you'll loose money if you're gambling with a blind eye.
Only wage what you can afford to lose and there is no guarantee that you will be winning big. Be patient and lose to win!
They have faucets and high rollers! Good target to farm and hack! How is it done? We need to know cases of farming and harvesting!
Now, this day i learn that we have to deposit in order to have rights for to enjoy our faucets rewards to satisfy our thirst!
Faucet is not free money! Faucet is work! Many of us are unemployed or disabled! Why crypto-community has betrayed us?
The games are made to play not to win. Owners are more real and users are more virtual! Owner is disoriented when in virtual sphere, user in real!
If you can't play and always lose it is not the game's fault, the games are transparent and provably fair, you can check the results yourself
or you question the cryptography and have found a way to break sha algorithms! We can check result but not generating of the roll!
Or my suggestion is to ask zikalkis how does he think to implement his divine intervention number service into roll result!

Actually your write up is somehow align to my point of view because some of the scams I see around are what does not worth it in the first place. I wonder how someone will claim scam because he was caught abusing the system or he was not allowed to withdraw a bonus when he has not even taken his time to read the terms and conditions attached to such freebie. At the same time, I feel the gambling site should also do more that in as much as they are to advertise and encourage users, they should do it openly and not when its time to withdraw that you will be aware of a rule that has been broken.

538  Economy / Digital goods / Re: [WTS] Pics of my body at your request. on: May 11, 2017, 06:54:59 PM
People on this forum value bitcoin far more highly than nude pics of some random tranny off of reddit.  And most users here can find any porn they want without having to pay for it.   Nice try, broheim.

Lol to this as people here can offer their services for bitcoin no matter how small than to pay for nude in which they can have unlimited download on the internet.
Hey guys,

I'm trying to get some coin selling my nude pics!
The only way I can confirm my identity is on reddit via r/girlsgonebitcoin. I've been verified by the mods.
My username is uxorius over there.
I've posted one picture there, and wouldn't mind you just commenting your honest opinion (always makes me happy) or tip something.
I am open for requests as well.

I'm not sure if this type of post is allowed in here. But I'm giving it a try.

cya!  Wink

I am still surprised that this is actually a service being offered. How are my sure the picture to be sent belongs to you? The mod have verified you so I have to PM the mods and send the picture to them so that they can actually confirm if its you or not, so they get to enjoy the free service I paid for?
539  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What did you buy for money won? on: May 11, 2017, 03:49:19 PM
Even though, I haven't made any net winnings in gambling ever since I started because aggregating what I have wagered with what I have won, I know for sure that I am still running at a deficit but hopefully I can break the barrier and if I do, I am definitely taking a time out to enjoy myself and go with couple of friends from the winnings if its enough to cover such intended expenses.
540  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why Is Bitcoin Gambling Industry So Successful in the World? on: May 11, 2017, 05:50:23 AM
I've just read an interesting article about popularity of Bitcoin gambling. The article identifies six reason why Bitcoin gambling is that successful. Bitcoin casinos started being successful in 2012. The 1st most successful casino was Satoshi Dice, which is a simple site that offers gamblers access to various dice rolling games. This surprising success sets precedent for the gambling industry. Full Article

The simple reason I can phantom to that is because all over various climes of the society gambling is frown at some countries even ban the act while others that allows it, do so with some conditions which most times not favourable. Aside that for those who meet those conditions which is most times age, the society does still not help by judging such individual as irresponsible for engaging in gambling then a liberation came which is bitcoin which makes it possible for me to defy all the odds above and enjoy what I wanted to do at my convenience without interference from either government or the society.
