524  Other / Meta / Re: Can we have another section for BitcoinCash? on: August 03, 2017, 04:36:24 AM
Just post in the altcoin thread.

Since this is the bitcointalk forum I'm sure if Bitcoin Cash (BCH) gains momentum it would make sense to open another section. But for now it's really unnecessary as Bitcoin Cash hasn't proven to be useful in any way yet.

Does it even have any unique features?  Cool
525  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin split on: August 03, 2017, 04:33:21 AM
Is there any benefit to using Bitcoin Cash over Bitcoin?
526  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Would you invest your 401k or IRA into Bitcoin? on: August 03, 2017, 03:19:43 AM
Gold has traditionally been known as a solid alternative to Fiat currency as a store of value for retirement income. After all, gold can't really be hurt by deflation. There are Roth IRAs and there are also IRAs based on the market indices.

The question is, since Bitcoin has matured to the point where it is generally seen as a safe investment, would you be willing to invest your 401k into BTC? (if you don't have one, let's assume you did)

There are a number of companies coming up that are providing not just Bitcoin IRA but also all forms of Cryptocurrencies within an Individual Retirement Account. Seeing as how cryptocurrency is technologically superior to paper money it makes sense as to why one would invest in it for the future. These companies aren't being created for no reason. It may be slightly risky to invest ones entire retirement savings, but it can also bring in beautiful returns while diversifying at the same time.

Thoughts?

527  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can bitcoin survive? on: August 03, 2017, 03:08:23 AM
As long as the people view Bitcoin as valuable and it doesn't get hacked or anything, it shall survive. Who knows about the Bitcoin Cash fork but Bitcoin as it is works great as a store of value and safe haven for serious investors.

The great thing is that it is limited, so people will only want more rather than less as long as it retains its value. Ironically, the value depends on the media as well, so that's another factor that comes into play.

Overall, is say Bitcoin is quite safe as a store of value and investment.

529  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can Bitcoin be used in space? on: June 23, 2017, 02:24:23 AM
Yes we could use bitcoin in space as long we have are own internet connection and why we need to use bitcoin in space if we cannot use our bitcoins there. We should focus outside the space not focusing in earning bitcoins. And the salary of a astronauts are much bigger than we earned through bitcoins.
what are you talking about ,did you in any way thinking that the astronauts are focusing on earning bitcoin  Tongue How cares about the salary of astronauts,@ OP if you are having an internet connection then you will be able to send bitcoins where ever you are and there wont be any restrictions,it is as simple as that,i am just scribbling because to make you understand how simple the question was.  Wink

I think eventually we will have satellites and spaceships that will carry Wi-Fi across the universe.

Once we start colonizing multiple planets, we can definitely use cryptocurrency as a means of storing and transferring value.

We probably won't be earning i.e. mining, moreso than collecting for doing various tasks and jobs.

Intergalactic business can be a reality.  Grin

Wow, his profile should be a public landmark on this forum. He's the anonymous creator of our beloved Bitcoin, but we still don't know who he is.  Grin

The faucet seems to be down. Does anyone know what seems to be going on? Would like to claim before my 24 hours resets.
It has been down for sometime, but now it's working fine as it seems. And for your information, there is no 24-hour reset – I have skipped many days not claiming, but still had the bonus as I left it.

Hmmm weird... my bonus got reset. Oh well, at least my Satoshi and Litoshi didn't get reset. Thanks for the info guys. Good to know it's a normal thing.

EDIT: As I write this it seems like moonbitco.in is down  Roll Eyes
