Still very new. Getmininginfo says revert to solo mining. What should I do. And what happens to the coins and blocks if it reverts to solo mining. Had similar issue this morning and the wallet had a line that said xxxxx anount bbp/ 2 rounds. i am so confused right now. And how does one direct the miner to the backup pool. And what is testnet? Sorry for all the questions. Having loads of fun though.
Yeah the pool did go down for a couple hours in the night. Its dissapointing, but believe me, the problem that started yesterday was brand new, something unanticipated and needed a couple new lines of code to fix it, and that didnt fix it 100%, only 90%, now I am confident it is actually fixed as of today. Pool2 didnt have the same problems as pool1. Anyway, I discovered a faulty setting in IIS7 also - where we were not recycling the app pool when a certain error occurs, and that has now been changed. Lets be confident now going forward, with hands off that we get some new reliability without touching it. Im also working now with Vultr Windows hostings product, to see if I can create a template to run the pool without much work - to give us built in anti-ddos, and also, for the two volunteers who sent me PMs that want to run one for $55 a month. (Side benefit being you can run against the pool from the host at maybe 50% cpu and make a % back with mining, possibly). As far as REVERTING TO SOLO MINING: I can guarantee you with 100% certainty, when the pool is unable to provide new work to your miner, at the exact same instant when the Reverting message appears, the internal miner actually creates a brand new block signed by You. There is not one chance or instance that you will find that the miner is mining for the pool and the pool is not aware of it, I guarantee it, Ive tested that fully. In addition, if the pool is offline for hours, it has a feature where it goes back and scans for solved blocks while it was down, and automatically pays the pool participants for those when it comes back up. It will never intentionally keep any money owed to the pool participants. |

I get shares but balance stays the same. Is it normal?
Yes, balance only goes up after pool finds a block. I double checked, and the pool hasnt found one since 7:30 AM or so. Today, the issue was the database layer is now running in a different language; it kept going up and down and causing the wallets to solo mine (so they probably found plenty of blocks solo today), but anyway, I found the problem; this is something new; Im deploying the fix now - it just started today on the sleek version of the pool. |

Any idea how long the wallet on c-cex is hung in maintenance? Been a couple days now.
The wallet at C-Cex will be hung at maintenance until after block 7000. It's been discussed here for a while, in short you don't want a lot of trading to be occurring when you conceivable could have some major glitches pop up in the system. Block 7000 is the final alteration of the algo, removing all the X11 crypto and making it stand alone on it's Proof Of Bible Hash (PoBH) crypto. If there are errors, there are more ways to fix it if trading is effectively frozen (for instance, if a major bug turned up and I got 5M BBP as a block reward, I cannot easily sell it and capitalize off of the glitch). The exchange will unfreeze when the all clear sounds, which there is no specific time but I'd be very surprised if it's frozen past block 8000 (and that's a very pessimistic value). Well, like West said basically, but there is an additional detail. When we have a mandatory with a seamless block cutover to a fully tested feature over 10 days in advance, we expect things to go perfectly after block 7000. The rule is that we ask our exchanges to take the wallet offline for maintenance as soon as the new version is Available. In this case, the exchanges are permitted to upgrade immediately and bring the wallet back online immediately. Ill follow up with them by Wednesday and ask them to take it out of maintenance. The contrast is if we do not give them sufficient time, we simply ask them to immediately take down the wallet and then ask to upgrade after the block passes (not required in this case). The important thing is that the exchange is Running the newest version of the mandatory Before enabling deposits. (Thats because we never want an exchange on a FORK). As far as if you created a deposit address before, it doesnt matter. On a side note, trading is not halted, only deposits-withdraws. I have multiple currencies for example so I keep trading when the wallet is down for maintenance. |

After the launch of the new design at http://pool.biblepay.org/ it isn't possible to log in. It says "Invalid Username or Password", but i know for certain that it's the same password as i had last night (and it works at http://pool2.biblepay.org), can it be the symbols inside pwd maybe? Its possible its a special escape character. I will add a ticket to work on that. In the mean time, just log into the old pool: pool2.biblepay.org, and save a new password, then try logging in to pool1. If you need your password reset to empty, email me at rob@biblepay.org. |

I noticed that pool has changed user interface, it is much better compared to version 1  And I also noticed the pool's load always less than 10% after cloudflare implementation. Pool is quite stable now. BTW, I cannot find transaction history in new UI, am I overlook? Ok TxHistory is present now under reports. |

The pool releases each mining credit 24 hours after mined. How many and how long can you keep coins on pool? Does anyoine know when coin can come to poloinex? You can leave BBP in the pool as long as you want but you risk a pool break-in, so I recommend withdrawing 75% per month just to not leave thousands of dollars at risk in there. As far as more exchanges, I would like to see us be widely held and deploying our masternodes before pushing this to the public. Lets let the early adopters get rewarded. |

But we are getting hard to find a block per day now, I see that we can't even get 205 blocks per day recently, so I was wondering will we still have 1.4billion in the 1st year.
If you look at the overall rate of expected blocks, we're pretty much right on target (well, we were when I ran the numbers this morning). How are we right on target? Last GMT day (September 2, 00:00-23:59) there were only 141 blocks instead of the expected 205. You can check in the block explorer that the first block for the day was 5729 and the last one was 5870. And every day is similar, you can continue going to the past like this to check, or you can simply divide the total number of blocks found (currently 5922) by the total number of days ( currently 41 and a half) and you'll get the average of: 5922 / 41.5 = 142.7 blocks per day. Not only is it way off from the 7 minute block time (205 blocks per day, so almost a third of the blocks are missing), it's also suspiciously close to the 10 minute block time which is 144 blocks per day. Numbers don't lie, but some are dismissing the possibility that something is wrong and that this must be "temporary luck", that in the long term it will be 205 blocks/day or 1 block/7 minutes. But there's never been a day with more than 205 blocks for it to be a normal averaging variance, it's always less than even 165 or so. We'll see how things will change with f7000. Addendum: to acknowledge how impacting this is to the coin and the total supply calculations, if it had 205 blocks per day, we would have a total of 657M coins by 01.01.2018, but the reality is that we will have 458M coins instead, so almost 200M less. At least at this rate, but I expect changes after block 7000. Btw, I'm a hodler, so I'm totally fine with this situation.  I'm just putting the numbers down. The reason this has not got a lot of attention, is happy_merchants reports were pretty revealing. The current prod chain contains quite a few blocks that exceeded the 'late block threshhold' (thats 60 minutes in prod). This appears to have driven the 7 minute average to 10 minutes. His testnet report, (the second one), shows that with the f7000 late block threshhold of 30 minutes, the average drops way down to just over 7 minutes, meaning that the coin specification arguments (which are unchanged) really were affected by the outlying late blocks. So Im confident this will veer down after f7000 is released. |

Im working with May from Compassion on our IT relationship. Im trying to make a bridge between Biblepay and inbound/outbound letters through their API, so our pool and wallet will be able to receive Incoming orphan letters. Right now we are in baby step 1 to support Outgoing letters. But from the high level, these things are going to happen which really drives the coins future: - Slack group to be created by the end of the month, so that we have 7 members in our IT department: developers, security, bitcoin commits for biblepay, and management. - Sanctuaries at the end of the year: Those real community members nodes will vote on future charities, and drive where the money is spent. Also, those real members can vote on everything and take over the whole coins future. I wont have any say in it, but I want to lay ground rules before they go live- such as : Ensure we stay with charities over 75% efficient. I feel compassion for people in US hospitals, like Childrens hospital, but, I feel MORE for starving orphans in 3rd world countries because the money spent makes more impact per $. Hopefully the vision will stay consistent later as I turn over the reigns to the sactuaries. I would also like to eventually cover developer compensation as a small percent of our superblocks, so that IT stays committed with low turnover. But at this point, we dont need to discuss that as this is a grass roots effort to get started. Im just pointing out that, if our market cap exceeds $20 mil, it would be nice to allocate 1% of the 10% to IT development, and potentially make the slice 11% (as I think we should remain biblical as far as tithing 10% back to our charities). |

The good news is, pool2.biblepay.org will not have the same limitations. Its already got a 100 max threadlimit, and I believe now that we have cloudflare, we can remove the auto-ip ban. However, you have to mine with 1.0.2.7+, with the more efficient packet. Let me know if you want to give it a shot, point the miners to 'pool2.biblepay.org' and I can work with you on getting it consistent. Please post results in the new forum though.

When pool2 will start working as i see accounts are copied from 1st pool. And laderboard shows 1 st pool? Rules the same like pool one? Especialy when you gain coins?  Yes, pool2 shares the same database server as pool. All rules are the same, except: Pool2 has no IP ban threshhold, hit is as much as you want. Also Pool2 has a 200 threadlimit max, so it should be able to handle unlimited size servers. As long as they run 1.0.2.7+ against it. |

HI.. I dont understand the economy of BiblePay.. how can it create wealth if it is not scarce ? 14 billion coins and each one even has that amount of divisibility as in bitcoin ? There´s is just not enough money to cover that.. instead of deflationary it just very inflationary.. If I pay one dolar today for a single one when there are only a 100 thousand coins.. by the end of the year there will be 1 billion coins, what will my 1-dollar-worth-of-BBP represent by then ? and the next year when there will be 2 billion coins ? and the next ? .. i just keep losing value instead of gaining... .. how can that create wealth ?
Its not inflationary, because we DECREASE the supply by 10% per year. Inflationary coins, like those that pay interest on the total supply, INCREASE the supply per year, therefore they are INFLATIONARY. You have to realize that our massive emission of supply will be bought up cheap and widely held. After basically one year, things should really pick up for the holders. In relationship to a central banks dilution, it should be a better investment, as long as : Our community exists, and the slack group of IT developers exists. The effect of sanctuaries should be a major influencing component, if not, the primary impetus. |

So the machine is a custom gaming desktop I built. I have a SINGLE Ryzen 1800x 8 core/16 thread OC to 4.0 ghz at 1.35v. Power draw is around 125 watts from what I've read online, although I cannot personally get an accurate reading. PSU is 850 watt corsair gold standard, I forget the model, but the only reason for this is the 2x RX 580 GPU I also run for gaming/mining other coins. Considering the current exchange rate, and the obvious increase that is going to occur over the long run, this is a super investment no matter the power cost. At my current rate I calculated about 7$ a day with a single CPU. That's pretty sweet, and for a good cause too!
Thanks a lot for the specs. That came out of left field. As of a couple weeks ago, I was assuming the newer intels were 2* faster than the amds (because I have 6 two year old 6 core amds sitting around from a prior project) and they all hash at 87k, while my friends intels hash around 125k (while being 2 years newer), and then we had the xeon server guy hash at 350k on an old quad core xeon (unknown proc count though), causing me to order a couple xeon servers which are not racked yet. So, basically, the brand new AMD ryzens, pulling about 200 watts, can hash at 450k, making them the fastest the leaderboard has seen. Looks like we will need a wiki page to start logging all this by specific processor type. I would really like to see a wattage column also (the intel i5 laptop can hash at 100k using a 20w total consumption from a solar panel etc). Yeah, we should set up wiki.biblepay.org. On the bright side, with the algorithm tweak coming at block 7000 (with the f7000 feature) we will have to re-establish everything we know as the hashps will be lower for everyone, and the txid lookup may influence the result slightly differently over machines (due to disk lookups in the mix), although in general I believe everyone will drop an equal percentage overall (due to disk caching). I can smoke those hashrates. Fact is I have 26 each i7 3770's, 2 each Ryzen 1800x's, 2 each i7 6700's and 1 each 6950X. I've been mining this coin since the very beginning and will likely be forced to permanently stop mining it today or tomorrow and it's a bit heartbreaking. Here is what is going on with my 30+ PC mine. Early on with the coin my most expensive machine the 6950X can't mine anything. The next most expensive Ryzen 1800 mines okay but not much better than the i7's . The i7's both 6700 and 3770 mine the most blocks. As you can see the more expensive my equipment and the more money I invest mining the coin the worse I fail. Now as of the last few days and today nothing here can mine even 1 block. The party is over lol and it's sad to pull off the coin but for whatever reason I am unable to mine I can't possibly point 40K worth of machines spending $400 a month on electricity and watch day after day nothing being mined. I've also got servers here I could point at the coin but after seeing the more powerful boxes performing less I saw no reason to do that. Haven't had time to go through the code but I have a strong impression the coin fights higher hash rates and past that maybe it is such that as of the last few days the difficulty level has exceeded the territory of solo mining. Edit Below:A few other observations for your Wiki  I have multiple IP's here due to more than one incoming internet ISP. I've noticed at times one IP completely stops mining while the other continues normally? Maybe due to being banned I have no clue. Another observation is I frequently would mine a block to only have it literally vanish before being confirmed and yet no orphan block shows up in the wallet as with other wallets. Maybe the coin is designed such that when an orphan block occurs and you lose a mined block it is not recorded in the transactions? Finally, upon noticing that higher hash rates tended to not fare well I tried an experiment. What I did was take the more powerful boxes and create numerous user profiles in Windows. I then installed BBP once per profile and then adjusted the genproclimit such that instead of having one instance of BBP running on the box at max CPU I ended up with many instances of BBP running on that one box albeit each of them limited down. Initially this worked great and produced blocks however within days the party was over lol and the boxes with multiple profiles stopped finding blocks nearly completely. Sorry to hear you are losing perseverance on this. Side Note: I Cannot reply on this thread consistently in the future, we must use the new forum. Anyway, I do want to say, there are two rules in the current beta pool affecting you. One is a 24 max threads limit, and the other, an automatic IP ban when the same IP hits the server over the threshhold per second (due to the DDOSses we experienced recently). The good news is, pool2.biblepay.org will not have the same limitations. Its already got a 100 max threadlimit, and I believe now that we have cloudflare, we can remove the auto-ip ban. Our dedicated user-base is growing by 5% per day, our external node count is very close to reaching 1000 nodes, we have over 20 million hits per day in our first pool, we have a slack team planned to handle growth, we have our f7000 release planned (raising the bar), and even have a new pool coming out of development in 2 days. Part of the growing pains we are experiencing is creation of our own slack IT group, along with dedicated operations forum topics, and subtopics. For example, PR, Sanctuaries, Charitable steering, IT issues, Tickets, etc. In this way we can become more organized. In our current admin tools setting, we are unable to create subtopics or organize our communication abilities, create managers & administrators, or even perform the most basic business process.
