Those are already published. As posts.

But scraping isn't advised.

There's nothing you can do about physical access except physical access is easy.

how do they plan on doing backups?

It gives you a root key to write down when first starting.
5207  Other / Archival / Re: delete on: January 20, 2014, 12:43:40 PM
You know if it gets compromised, all of us will lose our bitcoins, so we'll just fork. Very simple. We have a ledger backup at all times. There's no threat.

Well that's not true because if some fellow does have a backdoor, he's probably bright enough to use his advantage wisely e.g. not create a catastrophic, obvious system wide failure before profiting immensely from theft.  But this is mythology anyway...

True but scammers are greedy and would give themselves away. Most will also want to get caught to get credit. They'll work for the nsa afterwards.
5208  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Dwolla vs Bitcoin (Hey Dwolla, feeling the PAIN?) on: January 20, 2014, 12:40:54 PM
I wanted to use dwolla with family and friends but they wanted a monthly fee for the mobile app!

So I switched to Google wallet and square cash. Soon Bitcoin.

This forum is liberal. If he's a scammer, then stop paying him.

Eh. they don't have any of my money, and totally besides the point.
By "liberal" are you implying bitcointalk supports mods who commit fraud while promoting their website? If so, that's awesome for people to be aware of.

Already got my answer about....so thanks.

No mods shouldn't be involved. Which mod is it?
5211  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Sending a raw transaction generated by bitcoin-qt on: January 20, 2014, 12:32:33 PM
https://github.com/bitcoin/bitcoin/blob/master/src/rpcprotocol.h#L34 here is the rpc error codes and it seems that you are getting -22 which is a
Code:
RPC_DESERIALIZATION_ERROR       = -22, // Error parsing or validating structure in raw format

So you are not creating the correct structure of the raw format.
I managed to push the transaction. I signed it again though so it has a new transaction ID, right? This makes my second transaction fail as it was based on the first which is no longer the one the network sees.

Signing does not change the tx id, the tx id is a hash of your transaction so it shouldn't change unless an output or something like that has changed.

PS The transaction in the wallet is now invalid as a new one was broadcast. Is there an easy way to clear it and sync up with the new one?

Try -reindex that should fix this issue.

That won't delete the old transaction from my wallet though, right?

No
5212  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [ANN] bitaddress.org Safe JavaScript Bitcoin address/private key on: January 20, 2014, 12:32:00 PM
Heya - how hard would it be to add BIP-38 for brainwallet addresses? You already have an implementation for paper wallet addresses, but adding it to brainwallets would dramatically increase security on them (imho).

I dont think that's possible as there's nothing to encrypt.
5213  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Server Power Supply Interface Board - for standalone miners and GPU rigs on: January 20, 2014, 11:47:33 AM
I see the DPS-xxxxBB have no fans. How would one cool it, if it is even needed?

Op board has headers and I think you basically zip tie one on
5214  Other / Meta / Re: Image proxy protect people from themself? Passes exif on: January 20, 2014, 11:46:24 AM
The purpose of the image proxy is to protect people from each other (eg, IP-tracking images), not from themselves. The latter has never been the forum's job.

Yeah that makes sense. Exif filtering is an extra load.

So psa, filter exif yourself or make sure to use imgur which does it.

5218  Bitcoin / Armory / Re: Armory - Discussion Thread on: January 20, 2014, 11:38:49 AM
As far as I know armory doesn't use rpc like that, it reads the database natively and has its own parser which you could borrow

5220  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Storage Crate Issues?? on: January 20, 2014, 11:35:17 AM
Just hot glue it. For a second I thought newegg sold crates.

GPUs through out heat - won't that melt the hot glue?

Nah

Actually yes it can, and even if it doesn't melt it will significantly weaken.

The force is holding down though, it'll stay tacky enough to function or is the pci bracket not touching the crate?
