How awesome and plausible is my idea?
5202  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why did Satoshi Nakamoto create bitcoin? on: December 01, 2013, 11:27:57 AM
he's a billionaire, i think he can more than afford a beer on his own. he/the group is most likely a libertarian who is against banks, but it could have been a get rich quick scheme that took a year or two to become profitable.
It's not about that fact that he could afford a beer on his own, more as a thank you gesture.  Roll Eyes
5203  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why did Satoshi Nakamoto create bitcoin? on: December 01, 2013, 12:18:02 AM
To break the backs of the bankster cartels.

I and millions of others would like to buy Mr Satoshi a beer.
5204  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: IT pro says he threw out 7,500 bitcoins, now worth $7.5 million on: November 30, 2013, 07:12:00 PM
He's not an IT 'pro' if he:

1. failed to take a hdd backup;
2. failed to check what was on a hdd before binning it;
3. failed to physically destroy the hdd before binning it.

Not a 'pro' in any means of the word.

5205  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Alderney looks to cash in on virtual Bitcoins with Royal Mint reality on: November 30, 2013, 03:34:40 PM
Oh no, like you I think it's fantastic news. Cool

But some people on here clearly expect everything on a plate over-night.  Roll Eyes
5206  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Alderney looks to cash in on virtual Bitcoins with Royal Mint reality on: November 30, 2013, 03:15:15 PM
I posted this yesterday. It was all but scoffed at as insignificant news, nothing to see here.

So there you know.
5207  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I had a dream tonight that bitcoin jumped to $50,000 / btc on: November 30, 2013, 03:06:12 PM
I fear you are all erotically fantasising.
5208  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What Are The Plans To Bring On More Paid Bitcoin Developers? on: November 30, 2013, 01:52:03 PM
I believe, and hope, that a lot of development is going on independently in the background, some of which we won't see or hear for a couple more years. After which there will be an explosion of software and applications. Look at how the smartphone and in particular apps exploded forth. It won't happen over night so whatever bit you have should be stored for this future.
5209  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can a time traveler prove himself using the blockchain? on: November 30, 2013, 01:44:01 PM
Time is a human concept. It represents nothing and it represents everything.

Bit like bitcoin.
5210  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / 21000000 Bitcoins on: November 30, 2013, 01:01:09 PM
Why 21,000,000 bitcoins? Is there a mathematical reason?

And why 10000000 satoshis make up 1 bitcoin?
5211  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What would you do "when" bitcoin hits 10,000......... on: November 30, 2013, 12:20:40 AM
I'd hold and go about my normal business.
5212  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: China telecom accepts bitcoins now, the race is on! on: November 29, 2013, 11:27:50 PM
What's the population got to do with it?  Huh
Meaning that it won't have much impact. Although them being first could lead to others adopting it.
Imagine if China did that with their population.   Roll Eyes
I take it you haven't read the actual article or know much about their business on the islands.

Anyway Rome wasn't built in a day and all that...  Roll Eyes

What about the FT is reporting that Alderney is formulating plans to become the first international centre for Bitcoin transactions.

Alderney's finance minister has had discussions with the Royal Mint on licensing a physical coin, and the Treasury (which oversees the Royal Mint) has invited the Alderney team for talks on how a licensing scheme would work.

That good enough for starters?

If this happens what will the recent $1000 barrier breakthrough seem like peanuts?

Ok is there a dummies guide anywhere to transferring my bitcoins from blockchain.info into a paper wallet at bitaddress.org? And I mean a really intricate guide anyone with whatever little experience can follow? Such as; Step1. first click here,
Step2. then load up this,
Step3. then blah blah blah...
