5201  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Now that we are in 2020 on: January 07, 2020, 07:26:17 AM
But here's the question, if the market goes bullish and altcoins are pumping, do you think when there is an ICO, people are still going to invest?
Invest in ICO ... !!!  I don't think that's a good idea. Investors will continue to learn from previous experience, there are so many Ico that make investors disappointed, some even lose their money because there are so many Ico scams in circulation. For now IEO dominates more, and I trust Ieo more than Ico.
but to be transparent to everyone, many ICo project are still working for their product and services until now,we knew what happened in market last 2018 so ICO team has no other choice but to Hold their project and wait until market fully recovers, there are some ICo now that is still in touch to their investors and bounty hunters and begging for enough time for them to handle all issues and make progress regarding the Project.though i Know there are tons of scammers but still there is legit.
That's a joke dude, some trusted ico can still run their icos even the market are in the bearish momentum. That depends on how good the developer is. So many icos have hold their project caused by they have no enough skill to develop the product. Even if they have been doing it and as the result they are still become a scam project right now. There is not guarantee if hold the project means such project will deliver a fully working product. That's just a trick for them because they didn't wanna sell their native coins at the bottom.
5202  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: 2020 - The year of true DEX adoption? on: January 07, 2020, 02:23:12 AM
I refuse to accept OP's points because DEx are not as good as centralized exchanges are, great volumes, better liquidity and good clean interface, many will still choose centralized exchanges over dex
that's true and so many times DEX has already created by various entities but as the result of the dex are still getting low demand compared with when we are seeing CEX. So many advantages that already offered by CEX is still superior compared with the advantages that already offered by the DEX. I guess the dex can be an alternative but it will not replace CEX at all.
People will be more careful with the liquidity rather than the security.
5203  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: STOs are still growing but very slowly on: January 06, 2020, 11:42:23 PM
Many thought looking up to STO projects because many of them failed since we start hearing the name but few STO projects still manages to break good records, I saw a great deal of pivotal STO development, including Blockstack, a $33.8 million Bond-I by the World Bank, a $20 million bond on ethereum by Santander, and an association with Asia's biggest land speculation trust to dispatch Connection REIT. All things considered, buys were delayed due to

1. Persistent regulatory concerns
2. Little value add beyond higher relative liquidity which wasn't enough to convert most investors to purchase STOs

But truthfully the space is growing but just slowly
Please you must mention the reason. Remember what makes blockstack becomes the successful STO caused by it has already approved by SEC to get A+ license to raise not more than 50 millions funding from the investors. Not all of the STO in the cryptocurrency can deal with SEC especially the garbage STO.
Did you think those majority of STO can do that easily to pass the regulatory frame work? I didn't even think about that.
5204  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Hacker Publishes Private Key, But No One Can Steal His ETH on: January 06, 2020, 12:22:18 PM
Seems a guy, Robert Forster, a some kind of hacker published his private key for a wallet of his with 1ETH balance.  Someone else tried to withdraw but still was not able to ...

Forster used something called RBF ( Replace by Fee).
He signed a transaction but keep it offline, not informing the network about that. Then with the use of a listening node "watched" his wallet for any activity and when someone would try to move the funds he would sent the previous signed transaction to the network and since it would have higher fees it would replace the initial one and get propagated faster within the network.

Source link: https://www.trustnodes.com/2020/01/04/hacker-publishes-private-key-but-no-one-can-steal-his-eth

The process sounds pretty simple and straightforward and definitely used as proof of concept.
The thing that grinds my gears is that for the signed transaction he seems to have added a fee equal to the wallet balance (at least from what I understood, to make it not profitable at all for any thief). And for any attempt to withdraw his funds he would "lose" the amount as fees for miners.

Based on what method that already used by such hacker and that sounds very interesting to hear that. But as far as I know to replace the first tx with the second tx with a higher fees and that needs the time. That can't happen instantly. I have tried this to replace the first transaction that got stuck in the network caused by the network bloating.
I think that looks like a simple process. But so many people are getting trapped in this case.
5205  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: High price but no volume on: January 06, 2020, 07:23:00 AM
What is unfortunate of them is that they are not optimally involved in registering their projects in exchange which can actually have a greater positive effect on their tokens or coins. They prefer to register for cheap, even free, bad exchanges and the team no longer cares about community complaints because they feel they have kept their promises to be registered on the exchange.
The various reasons can be the main factors why those small coins can't listing their coin to the big exchange site. Just like this:
lack of the liquidity, lack of the development progress, no result after the development progress and many more. not all of the projects are having all of the requirements to register their coin in a good exchange site.
So many projects that are still undervalued but volume becomes the main problem as the traders are doing hit and run for profit.
When a project can keep its development and that will be dead.
5206  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: What altcoins are you bullish about in 2020? on: January 06, 2020, 05:04:16 AM
For me these altcoins are in the bullish mode,
1 Kyber
2 Maidsafe
3 Monero (totally undervalued)
4 Dash
5 Vsystem

But I can also agree if some coins in your list just like bitcoin, ethereum, cosmos, and chainlink will be on the bullish mode in the future. Bitcoin is slowly but surely has started to gain the bullish momentum. 7.5k resistance has already broken by bitcoin.
5207  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto history making year 2020 started it's journey ! on: January 05, 2020, 10:43:16 PM
it looks like that crypto has made a different from this year with the last year. Just take a small bump on crypto right now and it looks like that the chart is looking for the next new top position again soon. I hope that we can achieve the next ATH as 2020 will be the next big year for bitcoin as its inflation will decrease a lot. That means no more miners will come and the old miners will in competition to mine bitcoin.
I hope that something big will happen this year as so many events will be announced by this year.
5208  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Next big thing in crypto? on: January 03, 2020, 11:21:04 PM
There will be a lot of next big thing in the crypto

- Libra's development progress and blockchain implementation
- Digital cash created by the government
- Result of the TON's case with regulator
- Mimble wimble litecoin and bitcoin

I just expect more to come as the developers in the crypto are still running their development progress properly. The big thing can come from the various parties and I think almost the pair to the all of fiats money will available in the future.
5209  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Token? vs Coin? on: January 03, 2020, 11:47:21 AM
bispex token BPX itself is built under the ethereum smart contract network ,various smart contract blockchain platforms like ethereum there are many mate you can explore including eos neo waves and others ,the difference between tokens and coin is quite clearly explained by friends community above
That's why the developer if the bispex called it as a token caused by bitspex is building on under ethereum platform as the main blockchain.
I think it's very easy to understand and some people above me have already provided the meaning of the coin and what's the differences of coin with token.
Token is an asset which can be considered as security at the same time as it doesn't have utility. It's really simple how to understand the definition of the token or asset.
coin is far better than asset but it backs again on the usability.
5210  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Paying with crypto is more accessible than ever on: January 03, 2020, 08:29:02 AM
It should be an old data but how much total merchants that accept crypto as payment has already changed. I rarely to see that people are using crypto like BCH or even litecoin to buy on the merchant. I have ever seen people use dash to buy the product from the merchants but it has already a long time ago.
I believe if there is a lot of differences on the how much merchants that is still accepting crypto as payment.
5211  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: A question about ETH2.0 on: January 03, 2020, 02:28:01 AM
If i want to be a validator of ETH2.0, what kind of computer configuration should i prepare for?

I have a computer with
  • 2.6hz 4xcore
  • 8g ram
  • 160g ssd

Should i preare a bigger ssd for the new eth wallet?

What do you need to become a validator?
Basically, here are the minimum requirements for being a validator: - have 32 ETH, - run validator node 24⁄7 (this can be your PC, remote server, Raspberry Pi or similar) with Internet connection, - have access to beacon node.

Hardware requirements for running the node will be better determined during testnet activities. For the validator client only something like Raspberry Pi will be enough but in case you are running your Beacon node, you’ll need a more powerful CPU and storage space.

Keep in mind that your uptime and therefore an Internet connection are the most important things as your stake gets slashed if you are offline, meaning that you are losing your money.

This answer is more than enough to answer all of your question about requirements for ethereum POS 2.0

This is just an additional information if in ethereum 2.0 there will be the light wallet that makes everyone can staking their tokens and I can assume if such wallet can also be used to be validator too.

Thanks bro, i have built my own server , and i am a validator of testnet now!

Glad to see that and it looks like I'm interesting to be the validator on the beacon chain too.  Grin
5212  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: 2020 - The Year Of Decentralization. Thoughts? on: January 02, 2020, 11:00:05 PM
Agreed, and those projects are having big valuation but they were getting hacked caused by the security concern is not worth to follow just like vechain and that's totally overvalued as major coin with big valuation. I don't know how people are thinking like that these days.
Just try to see anything must be decentralized to avoid the security problem and many more. There are some dex are also worth to be followed by us and it's not only blocknet.
These projects are totally undervalued compared with those crap centralized projects.
5213  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Everything You Need to Know About Cryptocurrency Forks on: January 02, 2020, 10:07:52 AM
So, what's your point about the fork? It's better to create a topic that will be discussing something useful rather than just try to copy and past the link to your video as if you are posting in the altcoin section thread that used to discuss anything related to the altcoin and for me, it looks like your thread is just like an information thread.

I just remember in the past when so many people were considering the fork as a bad way to go an upgrade but they are forget blockchain upgrade needs the proposal.

5215  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The reason why you need to store your money in your hands! on: January 02, 2020, 04:29:15 AM
The exchange sites have control for all over the accounts that already created since it was started. The exchange sites are using it to frozen your money as you don't know nothing about that but they will suspect your amount as the dirty amount. That has already happened with thousand accounts on poloniex and a lot of them must did so many verification to get their money back to their hand. It's better to seen what we need to send it to the exchange site.
5216  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Biggest BTC/Altcoin trend in 2019 - in hindview - and it will continue on: January 01, 2020, 10:57:10 PM
The market can't be dictated with the only correlation between bitcoin and whole of altcoins. As the market trend is determined by how good the trend that happened with any coin as bitcoin will be only dictating altcoin when it was getting the major bearish or bullish trend. Basically, it's not good to see altcoin has a very strong correlation as the altcoin can't dictate its own price and this has already proved so many times if the fact that altcoin needs to stand without depends on the bitcoin.
The correlation between bitcoin and altcoin will continue but it will not always bring a good result.
5217  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Wrong accused projects on: January 01, 2020, 02:53:58 PM
I can't think of any new coin than ferrum network, i missed the bounty early 2019 and hunters quickly dumped but price increase a lot after a while, some said the ceo lied about University things but who cares? The project is doing very well and others are already calling it scam
The bounty hunters were not dumping it as ferrum network is only putting small amounts to be distributed among the bounty participants. The price of ferrum network is disappointing so many investors.

I remember there was a lot of scam accusations to the credit, crypterium, Monaco and almost all of the successful altcoins in the market were getting the wrong accusations and they are all fine right now.
5218  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: List of various bounty rewards made for easy reference on: January 01, 2020, 06:29:46 AM
please, put the english language option, including in menu bar and details of the website. I can't china language Huh
He said that this is a Chinese site so basically it's the default of the website however, we can use google translate if you are using google chrome browser.

What's the basis of the rating on site?

Ratings are free for visitors to rate, as a reference for everyone.
Isn't it better to create another reference and visitor can try to create a comparison between the rating that has already given by them personally with the trusted reference just like the rate that was coming from the popular site just like crytorank or icodrop?
5219  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Altcoin bubble by 2023; capitalization up to 150 times, a research suggests on: January 01, 2020, 02:45:16 AM
That would be a nice scenario but everyone is waiting for McAfee´s prediction: 1 million USD per Bitcoin by the end of 2020.
So still it is a far away from his prediction.  Cheesy Waiting for the TV show, McAfee  Grin.
he knows if his prediction totally a non sense prediction and that's why after created such prediction and mcafee was running away and he never appears again. That such a garbage prediction that always come to create FOMO or to give him the advantage. 1 million prediction and I guess that guy was drunk when he was creating it.
5220  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: What is your new year Resolution? on: December 31, 2019, 10:43:51 PM
The price of crypto must move forward as the time is also always moving forward. Just try to take more and more promising coin as my prepare before the bullish trend will be happening again at the middle of this year.
The changes must not be putted into the everyone but the crypto itself must have changed into the better way and remove whole of scammers in this year.
