5201  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Coinbase just added ERC-20 tokens support on: April 14, 2018, 10:28:36 AM
Scam alert it looks like it is another scam attempt never open these sort of mail, from what i understand it is an attack against coinbase users and it is a Phishing site to get your private keys, always make sure not to click on those links, book mark the sites and it is important to counter these Phishing activities. The latest news from coinbase is that they acquired a mobile ethereum wallet Cipher Browser.
5202  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Blockchain to Combat Fake Medicines in India? on: April 14, 2018, 09:42:39 AM
After putting a virtual ban on cryptocurrencies, the Indian government is planning to come up with a blockchain solution aimed at combatting India’s counterfeit drugs trade. NITI Aayog aims to combat India's counterfeit drugs trade with the help of the Blockchain technology.
To make things clear here, there is no ban for virtual currencies, dealing with the banking system is not possible in the future, but there is no ban in trading in the market. India being a populous country it is true that they produce more fake products into the market and they are competing with China in that aspect  Cheesy, fake medicine is one of the major issues the country is facing as it directly affects lives and this is a major development to counter fake medicine and blockchain made it possible.
5203  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: safe way to store tokens, eth and btc. on: April 13, 2018, 09:49:23 PM
Everybody is promoting hardware wallets these days, but they aren't cheap. There are also safe methods of storing coins on your computer without having to spend money on a hardware wallet. One of those methods is going offline and generating a new set of private and public keys and writing them down (not printing because the printed documents can be accessed if someone steals your HDD, hacks in, or simply steals the whole pc from your house. This si probably the safest way to store coins, but it has some downsides, like the time it takes to rewrite the key to be able to spend your coins.
If you are not spending money to safe guard your coins, then what is the purpose of investing in it, you can get a hardware wallets around $100 and are you telling that it is expensive considering the amount of money you are investing in it, people are getting too paranoid about wallet safety, the only thing you need to do is to have a secure system and enough back ups, until you advertise that you are having a huge number of wealth saved in bitcoin, no one is going to steal your hard disk. I usually store my coins in multiple drives with portable electrum and ETH and other tokens in MEW, make sure you book mark the site as they are many phishing sites just with the same interface.
5204  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Bountyhunters, be careful with twitter accounts on: April 12, 2018, 11:06:55 PM
Many of my friends have blocked Twitter. Do not understand why. The rules were that they would not leave an advertisement about crypto-currencies and ICO. Noto, what we post on the wall is not considered advertising.
Twitter will not block any users for posting contents related to bitcoin, only users who spam and violate copy rights contents will get a  block.

That's absolutely a bullshit, they are not banning nudes and porn but will ban cryptocurrency LUL  Grin Grin Grin
I do not think that they will be blocking users, but they wont be accepting any advertisement related to crypto currencies and they have the rights to determine what they advertise and with many scams being advertised with the help of social media, they might have come to a conclusion to ban every crypto based advertisement .

I did not understand, is it true or not? Does Twitter ban for it or not?
Twitter wont block individual users for their tweets and i have not seen anyone being blocked because of that, if they do that it is against free speech . Wink
5205  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UFC on FOX 29: Poirier vs Gaethje Info and Prediction Thread on: April 12, 2018, 09:29:12 PM
  • Dustin Poirier against Justin Gaethje is an interesting fight and it will be an interesting one and a fight of the night caliber fight and all of the fights Justin Gaethje is involved are thrilling ones and he earned his bonus and i think this is an important fight in this division and the winner could potentially face Khabib as Tony is injured and will be sitting out for a while and not sure about Conor returning anytime soon.

  • Another top Prospect is Israel Adesanya, he is a really talented fighter and is creative and looks like Jon Jones and a potential title holder in the Middleweight division.

  • My next bet would be Muslim Salikhov.
5206  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Pundi X - Any store can buy, sell and accept Cryptocurrency on: April 12, 2018, 08:20:05 PM
You can find details about that upcoming into this article but that is very confusing thing what is going to happen there. But this is only XEM holders who want to receive this token.
It is not about XEM holders i guess but the PXSXEM token swap confuses me too, i really think that it is about the hardware (POS devices) they are producing which supports XEM based tokens and they will be distributing the POS devices to the XEM team and its partners, i am waiting for them to be listed in some major exchanges but there are interesting developments going on with them as they are meeting with QTUM team members and the latest news about NPXS is that it is live on the Bancor network.
5207  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is Bitcoin Preparing for a Huge Breakout? on: April 12, 2018, 07:31:47 PM
If my prediction is right, I think bitcoin's price will moon at the end of the month. and I think it will range up to $12000-15000. So it is better to hold onto your coins and wait for the right moment to sell it.
I am impressed by your prediction and analysis, i have seen this thread yesterday but i was thinking the opposite could happen if there is a negative news and i was expecting that, but all of a sudden there is a huge investment in bitcoin and the price started rising all of a sudden and i was wondering what was happening that could trigger this surge, i cannot find anything else other than your analysis.  Cheesy
5208  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Bitcoin the dollar equivalent? on: April 11, 2018, 07:28:14 PM
If we compare the crypto assets market to the stocks markets in general, can Bitcoin be considerated as the equivalent of the dollar?
In the stock exchage we buy shares with dollars.
In the cryptocurrencies exchanges we buy tokens or coins with bitcoins(and other cryptocurrencies, Litecoins, etc).
To buy bitcoin you need to have fiat currency, if no how are you going to invest in other things, even if you want to mine these coins you need to invest a bigger capital, so what you really do is you are spending fiat currency every time and the only difference i see from stock exchanges and crypto currency market is that, stock exchanges does not operate round the clock and that is not the case with crypto currency market.
5209  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is like Myspace - and will be abandoned like Myspace on: April 11, 2018, 04:07:59 PM
Bitcoin is the same - when something better comes around, belief will crumble and Bitcoin will be abandoned like Myspace and investors will have zero value. And Bitcoin will indeed be abandoned as it has again and again proven itself completely useless for large-scale practical applications.
First and foremost you are comparing social media sites to an economic revolution which is a dumb thing to do, if bitcoin is abandoned i can tell you that the entire market will close down, if bitcoin cannot sustain the long run, then no coin will, there are developers working to improve it and you are telling that it will die because there will be another technology that will come with a better technology,if bitcoin goes down then nothing will sustain.
5210  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is there any chances Bitcoin can replace fiat currency? on: April 08, 2018, 03:16:01 PM
Hi guys is there any chances bitcoin will replace fiat currency.
How on earth it is possible to replace fiat currency by bitcoin, we can use bitcoin in international trade and hopefully we will see a time when we use bitcoin to trade on a global scale ten years from now, replacing fiat currencies around the globe is not a possibility as you cannot have every country having the same economic situation, we need both system to prevail in tandem .
5211  Economy / Speculation / Re: falling at a price of $ 6k on: April 08, 2018, 02:50:23 PM
I follow a bitcoin price prediction forum that says that within the next week the bitcoin price will fall on the $ 6k price range
this is based on the graph of bitcoin price fluctuations
How come anyone will be able to predict the price looking at the graph, it is just speculation on how the market could be and there is nothing certain, the price is trading on a range for some time and i hope we wont see a total crash in the price, anything above the price of five thousand dollars in a good valuation for me, lets see how the price would be by the end of this year.
5212  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is this a good opportunity to buy or huge risk to lose money on: April 07, 2018, 11:00:52 PM
I am 50/50 on this.  Is it a good chance to buy and we won't see 6k again or is it a huge risk and it might crash to 2k or even to nothing.   Are people buying now or just watching and waiting.  There does seem a big volume of Bitcoin changing hands today compared to the last couple of weeks.  Are they buying or selling.  Why has it gone down so much at the moment.
When ever the market goes down, it gives you the opportunity to enter the coin once again and this is a good time to enter the market, majority of the investors are waiting to see a clear picture when it comes to regulations around the globe and as long as those rumors are crushed and we see a clear path, the entire market will move according to every negative news, be patient and wait for the market to recover and invest when ever you can.
5213  Economy / Speculation / Re: John eat-a-dick | Will he or won’t he? | ? Bitcoin price December 31 2020 on: April 07, 2018, 10:42:45 PM
just curious what will he do after he realize it's a little bit crazy to make that statement.
i believe he did that itentionally to increase the demand and awareness from people and spread the world about it.
will he ? nobody knows.
John McAfee is a bit crazy when it comes to public statements and i am sure he is taking sweat money from projects to endorse those projects and so is the reason you will see him tweet about certain projects and how he thinks about it and so on, he is just manipulating people because of his reputation and literally no one cares about his crazy ideas, everyone knows that the price would increase but you cannot predict the time limit at which the price will increase exactly.
5214  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UFC 223: Nurmagomedov vs ??? Info Prediction, MCGREGOR ATTACKS BUS LOL! on: April 07, 2018, 09:52:50 PM
Staged or not, it was entertaining to watch
But I am wondering when we will see Conor back in the UFC, as his last match is already a long time ago. There are even rumours that Conor would go to the WWE (following Rousey).
I did not find this incident interesting, if he is really a tough guy, he should have proved that by accepting the fight rather than injuring other fighters and making a big mess, in the beginning this was one of the best cards and now three fights are already dropped just because of this hooliganism and i am sure   Al Iaquinta is not prepared to fight Khabib even though i was picking him for winning the bout against Paul Felder.
5215  Economy / Gambling / Re: Cloudbet.com - bitcoin sportsbook and casino | BEST NFL and EPL odds anywhere! on: April 07, 2018, 09:00:09 PM
Really good news to see that you are crediting the users with bitcoin cash and allowing users to use it to gamble too, but i would like you to be active in the forum too as most of the time we are not seeing your presence in this forum, are there any plans to include additional coin in the future which would be a cool feature. Is there a initial deposit bonus for bitcoin cash.
5216  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: So what's stopping china from banning bitcoin mining? on: April 07, 2018, 08:04:19 PM
and also china move as one. they know what best for their country, and make huge profit using only mining and trading, because they know ICO's not gonna make them rich faster. they have whales for trading, and they have resources to mining, why should bother with ICO's?
I do not think that is not the case with China, they have already started shutting down mining farms  and most of the big farms are moving out of the country and even bitmain opened a branch in Switzerland, it is all because they know that China is planning to stop the entire market of virtual currency mainly because of money laundering issues and the huge amount of electricity it takes to mine the coin.
5217  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why is everyone just HODLing? on: April 07, 2018, 07:10:43 PM
I would like to know what real value you think HODLing adds. What is the point of just holding bitcoin till moon and lambo ? This is cryptocurrency, why aren't we using this as currency? If we all just hold then this whole thing takes on a completely different business model, we lose all real value that it has as currency and it just becomes a full on speculative bubble.
This is call freedom, you can decide on what you do with your coins, if you want to hold the coins, gamble with it or use it as a currency, if you compare all the investment segments, there is speculation and so is the reason that they are investing and if that is the case do you call each and every sort of investment a speculative bubble.  Tongue
5218  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] Monero - A secure, private, untraceable cryptocurrency on: April 07, 2018, 02:47:18 PM
Monero has activated the fork to counter the ASIC miners but it looks like they have split into four different projects with this fork, i am not even sure what the price would be in those coins and i am even sure bitmain is behind one of the coins and i am not sure how this thing end up. Either way waiting for more news and what i find is that two coins namely Monero-Classic (XMC) and Monero Classic are from Asian countries but not sure about the other two according to bitcoinmagazine .
5219  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Your bank will not allow you to buy bitcoins anymore in India on: April 05, 2018, 02:54:29 PM
This is a recent news coming that Reserve bank of India (central bank) bans regulated entities from dealing in virtual currencies. I don't think this is anything surprising but still, I want to alert everyone not to lose faith.
I have read the news, so what is the real implication of this, does banks stop dealing with the cryptocurrency exchanges running in India and will the banking system ban users to send money to those exchanges just like they wont allow to send money to gambling sites. The current government is also a failure in every aspect as i have not seen any wise decision from them either.
5220  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Where to Buy bitcoins? on: April 05, 2018, 01:01:40 PM
Me, I always recommend Localbitcoins. Nothing like getting your first Bitcoins from a fellow user. Just make sure you only buy from experienced traders with good history and feedback, and only only ever use e-scrow.
Using local bitcoins is a good option for new users but then the price is really high and you wont be able to purchase the coin at the best market rate, we now have more bitcoin exchanges than we had before and the only thing you have to do is to find out reputed local exchanges, if the OP could have clarified from which country he is trying to purchase , it would have being easier to pinpoint the exchanges from that country.
