5201  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto is Literally Hitting the Road on: October 18, 2019, 02:37:35 PM
~Skip
After seeing a couple of crypto-related ads in a single day in Singapore, something suddenly comes to my mind. What if all of these ads are promoting Bitcoin? People would be seeing Bitcoin logos everyday; in MRT, buses, malls, houses, underpasses, waiting stations, taxis, laundry shops, and practically everywhere. Would this help a lot? And those who are not familiar will get curious and would want to know more about it.
Advertising is part of company promotion to support the company's popularity in the market. In my opinion, now bitcoin is quite popular in the public eye. Where almost every country or even the world has detected the existence of this bitcoin. Globally or thoroughly, this promotional advertisement is quite useful. But does someone have to do it, if so who will be responsible for paying all these advertisers ?
I think, promotional ads that are on taxis, buses, etc. They are paid by the company. Will bitcoin also do it ?
5202  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Legality effect on: October 18, 2019, 12:00:50 PM
I think fiat and cryptos are two absolutely different things. Even if regulators decide to legalize it and bring regulation on it they would definitely not make it a currency for day to day use and replacement of fiat they would only use it as an asset or security in which people can invest and earn returns or hold them for a period of time and such a thing would not have that much effect on fiat. They will still exist and no economy around the world would be hampered with this. Countries too would work normally I think there won't be any change in world economy at all with mere regulation of such kind Only that people would start considering Bitcoin as an investment option.
In some countries, bitcoin can already be used as payment instrument. But not to replace the whole, because in everyday life bitcoin and fiat can be used but the role of fiat is higher when compared to bitcoin. besides being used as a means of payment, bitcoin is also used as a valuable investment asset and also as a place to store value.
Bitcoin and fiat are both payment instruments, but regulations prohibit them from being used in various countries. For example Indonesia, they still prohibit bitcoin as a legal payment tool.
5203  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is never going to be extinct on: October 18, 2019, 08:26:55 AM
Actually, no one knows what will gonna happen in the future about bitcoin.
That's right, I agree with you.
As long markets increasing and there's adoption on bitcoin it will not going to be extinct. In my view bitcoin would be still valuable in the future as I can see to it many users are still believing in it. Moving forward let’s hope the best in bitcoin.
As long as bitcoin is still traded, then I believe it will still be valuable. Throughout 2019, the adoption of bitcoin seems to have begun to increase. For 2020 it is expected to be better. The spread of ATMs has also increased, and I think bitcoin still has a good future.
5204  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: There Is No War Against Bitcoin! Stop The Fud! on: October 17, 2019, 02:52:20 PM
Indeed there are some side who want bitcoin to be destroyed, so don't be influenced by them. One of them spread slander with the news that the US Government declared a war against bitcoin. Even though there is no war against bitcoin, there is a US government declared a war against criminal who are using bitcoin for illegal activities. So I hope all side will not be lured by this misunderstanding problem. We as a bitcoin community must unite against certain parties who want bitcoin to be destroyed, with unite with bitcoiners all over the world. So the news can subside and investors will start to trust again. so that the price of bitcoin can go up to ATH again.
When the use of bitcoin has been made a regulation by the government, from there the government will regulate it so that it does not disrupt the economy and even financial stabilization. If the government wants to fight bitcoin, then I think that's a stupid thing. They can make bitcoin a commodity in the futures market and it will not interfere. Regarding misuse, paper money is also to blame because not a few people use it for illegal transactions. Making regulations does not mean they want to fight with bitcoin, that's what I understand.
5205  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Don't put your full trust on exchanges regarding scam projects. on: October 17, 2019, 01:31:41 PM
That's absolutely true! Listing on the exchange has no guarantee that the project will not be scammed. Because in fact after the project was listed on several exchanges, many of them ignored the development they had planned and eventually their core team disappeared without news. This is what investors should be aware of, making sure that their team has experience and also their data has been verified, because this can make you feel more secure in entrusting your funds to them.
The credibility of the exchange is needed to support everyone not to be affected by fraud projects. The exchange team must be more careful and selective to include tokens or coins on their list. I really hope that in the coming exchanges such as binance, hitBtc, kucoin, and many others will give good performance to always selectively insert tokens or coins from various types of projects.
So, I think it will reduce the growth rate of fraudulent projects that are very disturbing for investors and prize hunters.
5206  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Day Trading or Long-term Hodl? on: October 17, 2019, 12:38:59 PM
I have seen so many threads talking about this DX token with a different format, are you legitimately asking for an opinion or is this form of advertisement?
look at these:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5185591.0
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5184283.0
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5189356.0

just do everything you want to do and always bear in mind everything is possible in cryptocurrency.
Take a look at this, you must think that the OP is doing a promotion. Quite a lot of discussion about DX on the thread made.
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;threads;u=2161267;sa=showPosts

Trading is an attempt to get profit, whether you will do it in the long or short term. That is up to you, but there are things that must be considered for holding a coin for a long time. Check history and make sure the trading volume is high. That might be useful.
5207  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: What's problem in Yobit!!! on: October 17, 2019, 12:13:47 PM
It's good that they were able to fix the problem quickly.
I am only worried about why they did not immediately publish official information about the problems. Was no one working at night on the exchange where the trade takes place 24/7 ... ?  Roll Eyes
The faster the team resolves the problem, the better it is for everyone. But I didn't get any interference from the yobit site when the OP created this thread. Yobit is a good exchange in my opinion, but sometimes problems will arise suddenly and it's good they quickly fix them.
5208  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin - Store of Value or Method of Payment on: October 17, 2019, 11:07:46 AM
The bitcoin is both. Bitcoin was originally invented as a digital store of value and also a payment system. You are the one who gets to decide whether to use bitcoin as a digital store of value or a payment method.
Bitcoin as a means of payment, that is the true reason for making bitcoin. Over time, bitcoin has become an expensive investment asset. But to be used as a bitcoin payment tool also continues to get support from various groups.
Until now, adoption of bitcoin continues to increase in various countries. Countries that have crypto-friendly regulations will make it easier for citizens to use bitcoin for payment, but not a few countries have regulations that prohibit bitcoin as a means of payment.
5209  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: New scam technique on Telegram. on: October 17, 2019, 10:17:22 AM
Telegram gives you an option to check what groups you have in common with the person contacting you. It is only logical that if an actual admin of the group you joined PMs you that you are both part of the same group but when a scammer does it he will most probably not be a member of the same group.
Right, I will always make sure that if I want to talk to PM then it's really with the admin. In telegrams we can see that someone who is communicating with us is someone who is in a group with us. When not finding the person is not a member of the group then it's the right time to leave him.
This is one example, if I want to communicate with the admin then I will make sure he is a member of the same group.
5210  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Did you ever won a huge amount on gambling? on: October 17, 2019, 05:10:28 AM
Haven't won a huge amount in gambling as well. If I remember it right, my biggest winning in gambling is only a few hundreds of USD. And, as the usual practice when winning, more than half of it went to drinks and food with friends.

Of course it is my wish to earn as big as possible, like the millions in a lottery jackpot, but I am not in any way expecting that. I do not even expect much when I gamble. After I place my bets, I already treat it as a money gone with the wind. I honestly treat gambling as a form of wasting money in exchange for some fun. If there's a prize in the end, that would only be a nice bonus.
In my opinion, your statement about betting is considered as losing money to prevent disappointment when not winning. But most people will feel disappointed in the end if they don't win a prize. Some even vent their emotions by talking nonsense until they are unable to resist the mounting emotions.
Nobody likes to lose in gambling, including me. But to avoid gambling addiction, what should be done?
5211  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Altcoin's future. on: October 17, 2019, 04:35:08 AM
Altcoins future is going to be good especially the coins are in the list of top 10-20 in the coinmarketcap. I am not worried about those coins.
No need to worry about altcoin which is ranked in the top 10-20, but traders only need to be vigilant. Not all altcoins that are currently in a good position will continue to be the same in the future. It is still possible to move up and even fall down. We cannot predict the future with certainty, follow the path and make sure not to trade with altcoin that has problems with the market, such as not having a good enough trading volume.
5212  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Will XRP Claim the #2 Position? on: October 16, 2019, 07:38:41 PM

Based on the data of your screenshot on the CMC website, XRP's market capitalization is in 3rd place just below ethereum. But if you look at how big the trading volume has been in the last 24 hours, then XRP really can't match Ethereum. Usually if Bitcoin goes up, XRP goes up, then Ethereum also goes up. That is why I am not sure that the market capitalization of XRP is able to defeat Ethereum.
In comparison, when Ethereum and XRP prices reached the highest price in trading history, the market stamp was also unmatched. I multiply the highest price in history by total supply.
[1] Market Cap (Jan 13, 2018) ETH $15,499,902,137,720
[2] Market Cap (Jan 04, 2018) XRP $383,966,708,670.72

I do not remember or never happened that XRP is in the 2nd position with a market stamp above Ethereum.
5213  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Altcoin's future. on: October 16, 2019, 06:52:00 PM
Don't worry the altcoins will bounce back and no new altcoin that will destroy the value of the old altcoins such as Ethereum, Ripple, Tron, and other top 10 altcoins. New altcoins usually take over the positions of the old altcoins that are below top 50. If you want to invest in altcoin make sure to invest within the top 10 altcoins.
Agree, there is no need to be afraid to invest because investing is not an attempt to accept fear, but how to minimize fear. If someone is afraid of losing, then crypto is not the right investment for him.
Following are some of the main choices for ERC-20 that may be suitable for investment assets both short and long term.
1. Tether USD (USDT) 24 hour Volume $19,552,186,669. Price now $1.0039.
2. BNB, 24 hour Volume $247,612,643. Price now $17.6801.
3. Bitfinex LEO, 24 hour Volume $6,494,474. Price now $0.9997.
4. Houbi Token (HT), 24 hour Volume $80,747,964. Price now $3.4150.
5. ChainLink (LINK), 24 hour Volume $154,153,405. Price now $2.2665
6. Maker (MKR), 24 hour Volume $14,968,902. Price now $493.3668.
7. USD Coin (USDC), 24 hour Volume $300,209,354. Price now $1.0038.
8. Crypto.com Coin (CRO), 24 hour Volume $6,310,891. Price now $0.0379.
9. Ino Coin (INO), 24 hour Volume $9,632. Price now $ 1,8475.
10. BAT (BAT), 24 hour Volume $39,038,043. Price now $0.2049.

The 10 list above is the best ERC-20 which currently holds the highest market capitalization. Maybe another ERC-20 has the highest volume than listed above. Trade with caution, the decision is in each of us.

5214  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: New scam technique on Telegram. on: October 16, 2019, 05:46:49 PM
I haven't seen that before to be honest. They can't use the same username as the admin so they copy the admins username and post it in the bio section.
But still there are a few things you should always remember with Telegram.

1. Admins will never ask for your private information like passwords, private keys etc - Scammers Will.
2. Admins will never PM you first and especially not when you join a group - Scammers Will.
3. Admins will try to solve your problem in the group chat and not via PM messaging unless you request it - Scammers will PM you without writing in the group.
You are right. The three things you mentioned are a must to remember.
1. Admin has never asked for sensitive information including PK wallets, if that happens then there are indications that we must beware of it.
2. Admin is never the first pm, very rarely encountered admin do it. They only answered PM when we asked for his help.
3. Responding to problems with groups is the admin's job, through PM only done when we request it. It is true.
Realizing something that is rarely done by the admin is an attempt to prevent fraud from happening to us. Always be aware.
5215  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Don't become Bounty Hunter! on: October 16, 2019, 05:15:25 PM
This advice right here is only good now. But if in 2017, bounties was a very big thing. So many ICOs and a good number of them actually turned out successful, at least for the few months on exchanges. Coming into Cryptocurrency with no capital to start trading, bounties was a more better way to build up some capital base. But now, everything has changed because ICOs are no longer gaining attention again.
I dare say that 2017 is the most successful year for ICOs, many ICOs succeeded until early 2018. But after that many projects also failed to develop, investors failed to get their funds back so ICO is no longer attractive.
Investors have realized that ICO is no longer profitable, they moved to IEO, which is now popular in some of the top exchanges.
5216  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Did you ever won a huge amount on gambling? on: October 16, 2019, 04:32:33 PM
Honestly, I don't really like gambling. I usually bet just to change the more lively atmosphere when watching a soccer match. The stakes are not large, and it's clear that when I win prizes there aren't many.
But one time I won $ 100 a day in a toto game, and that was a long time ago. Maybe that is one of the biggest prizes I can win.
5217  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The secret of gambling? on: October 16, 2019, 03:57:13 PM
There is no such thing "secret" in gambling why? Because people are winning through their strategies or maybe luck. There is a traditional saying in betting games or gambling games about "No luck, Just talent" meaning they intent to built their strategies and skills in order to win in some gambling games. Just enjoy the moment when you are playing and always have fun.
There are times when people who always lose in gambling are called not talented, and people who win are often called great. In my opinion, strategy is very influential in gambling. How does someone always win every week in soccer betting if they don't have a mounting strategy. Luck is awaited in gambling, but defeat is a fairly frequent thing experienced by gamblers.
5218  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2019/20 on: October 15, 2019, 05:39:16 PM
It's not totally true that England actually has a lot team competing for the league title for the past 15 years only 4 different teams have won the league, there are only competitive fixtures due to the huge amount being invested in to league even by relatively smaller teams.
Yes, 4 different teams in the past 15 years are Chelsea, Manchester City, Manchester United, Leicester City.
Some say Laliga is boring, in terms of play, competition between teams and the atmosphere of the stadium. But that's for those who don't like Laliga, those Who prefer games that involve a lot of physicality and speed then they definitely like the EPL.
5219  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Update List Scam Airdrop 2019 ...... on: October 15, 2019, 04:56:51 PM

5220  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What if Ethereum replaces Bitcoin someday? on: October 15, 2019, 04:01:58 PM
I doubt it will be replaceable in terms of altcoins, maybe in other method of usage like in paying or doing transcations but in altcoins its still way too far among other alts, eth can be surpass by XRP but BTC can still be in the top as long as no new alternatives will be involved like how some stocks and forex holderd shift in crypto before.
The dominance of bitcoin in the crypto market is no doubt. Bitcoin holds the market control with the highest trading volume.
But will dominance not be matched by ETH?
In my opinion, nothing is impossible in this world. It's just that, for the bitcoin market volume does not seem to be easily rivaled by other altcoins even though it's ETH. The world is increasingly advanced, and digital technology will continue to develop so that on the other hand I think people will not be surprised if indeed one day bitcoin will be replaced by ETH through trading volume.
