5221  Economy / Investor-based games / Re: BTC-Flow.com ★ Business Ponzi Game ★ 200%+ Return ★ Invest BTC ★ Referral on: February 16, 2015, 11:03:06 AM
The rate was decreased for first level only to force them buying levels.

they reduced pay rate this time drastically.... very bad ponzi!

Wasn't the pay rate just increased instead? People mentioned it was giving 0.000001 per min in previous page, and is now 0.0000015.

I think they increased a few minutes ago.

When i first joined , even faucet seemed nice to me , it was fun , searching out new faucets and thinking i could really make some good money with that , it was untill i realised that i was just wasting my time unless we can get what we used to get in 2012 Cheesy

Dump Bitcoin at cheaper than earlier. Then you will start getting what you used to get in 2011-2012. Roll Eyes

An example of various exchange that are using multiSig are : theRocktrading.com , bitstamp.net e bit-x.com (I don't know other exchange).

Do you know public address of any of these?

5227  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Why is bitfinex so large? on: February 16, 2015, 10:15:02 AM
Does bitfnex use bitgo multisig for its cold wallet now?

I don't think so.

What about the hot wallet, does that use bitgo multisig too?

5228  Other / Off-topic / Re: Which BTC wallet are you using on: February 16, 2015, 09:56:03 AM
For daily transactions I use blockchain.info
I also keep some BTC in bittrex and BTC-e, so I'm not too late to buy and sell

Don't keep the amount you can't loose. Many exchanges are being hacked(atleast what they claim).

Yes. By then the weekly payments will be implemented.
Macro said that he plans to start weekly payment after this pay period ends.

Let's hope it will.

I have seen a few people using Macro! Huh It's not macro, it's marco. Smiley

why not let someone trusted vouch for your account?

You must prove first that you do have this account, IMO just looking at a picture seems sketchy

He send me his username and password yesterday before the wager, so I can't withdraw. Thus, I declined.

@OP : If you send me the password, I will try to withdraw and send it to you. Smiley

A survey of top VPN providers:
http://torrentfreak.com/which-vpn-services-take-your-anonymity-seriously-2014-edition-140315/

Out of some 25-ish services only 4 or 5 services keep ANY information about IP address. And most erase this log within 24 hours.
So if I had a choice between TOR and VPN, you know what I'm going to choose.

Thanks for the link. Here is a Bitcointalk thread : https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=247212.0.

But VPN doesn't help you much either : https://www.goldenfrog.com/take-back-your-internet/articles/7-myths-about-vpn-logging-and-anonymity.

5234  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Which Windows wallet not download full blockchain on: February 16, 2015, 08:58:17 AM
Online wallets don't require downloading the whole blockchain file but they are also less secure then Offline wallets .
I would recommend you using Multibit or Electrum , and If I had to choose between those two I would say Electrum because you don' thave to make Regular backups to your private key or wallet and you can recover your Bitcoins with a 12 words seed in case of a computer failure .

Multibit HD solves this.

Great work! I just made a quick-look at it. If I find any errors when I read correctly, I will report it here.

I don't think the  jump to first and last buttons are needed. I'm finding it a bit easier to press the first and last page numbers.

Not easy enough. When I click, sometimes it is clicked on next/previous button especially when there is only few pages.

Edit : When using ;wap2, http://flic.kr/p/qVXBpA . This is what I meant and would be helpful.

How reliable are premium VPN services that let you fake your IP address?
If TOR is not an option, I assume VPN would be the best choice for covering the real IP address?

Most paid VPN services do not log the IP addresses for more than 24 hours (a few don't log them at all), and they don't give away that information without a court order. And since local laws are different from country-to-country, it would be as hard as shutting down TPB.

As VPN stores your IP, it isn't that easy to get it once there is a hack. Even if they only release after a court order, you can tell your lawyer or yourself to them to save the IP data of that particular day.

There are devices that measure the actual electricity usage of any appliance.

The most popular one is called 'Kill A Watt' and comes in many models:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kill_A_Watt
http://www.p3international.com/products/p4400.html

You can get it on eBay

Thanks! I was looking for this a long time. Need to buy one.

So using Tor with Bitcoin Core or any other wallet is indeed safe and I have nothing to worry about ? Totally annonymus or still there is chance to my IP to get revealed ?

It may not be good using TOR with wallets but when pushing/relaying the TX, using TOR will be good.

EDIT : Alright , fully got it now . mind linking me to thread where Gavin said that too ? thanks

Topics like these are increasing. Undecided
