Thank you for your response. What about using the source code from a similar wallet thats working and just changing the differences (logos/pos rate ect), and hard forking it? Wouldnt that be the fastest way? There are alot of features missing from this wallet anyway , as I stated earlier. IMHO just using another working wallet and cloning it would be fastest. Roscoin is a really good looking wallet that works like a dream, and has all the features I mentioned. Just change the stake % from 30% to 50%. What are your thoughts about lowering the min stake age from 7 days to 1 day for those hanging in there? You have to fork it anyway. This will more attention to this coin, POS is all the rage now.

So Im shocked that the price is still up. I thought with the crazy stake %.. the price would drop. Pleased I bought more on the way up. You need to do something about your other wallets. Remember they have ALL the passwords youve typed since you downloaded that virus. You need new wallet addresses on another pc, and transfer ALL your funds to it....like NOW. They did not stop at one wallet for me. got:

few others.. trying to forget. Point is , they DONT stop at just 1 wallet.

As I understood it, HYP will STAY at 750% , BUT POS diff will go higher in phase II starting in next 6-8 weeks. Therefore needing larger blocks to stake. 1600 coin block sizes now take about a month to stake , 4000 coin blocks 15+ days. So youll need larger block sizes to make the 1000 block HYP reward 6000-7000? I dont think HYP will ever be a hoboin the next 2 months. LOL.

Guys Im having a problem getting this wallet to stake. First I have tripple checked, I have latest wallet V 2.1.1. I understand that min stake age is 7 days. I have loads of mined coins since 10/29/14. I mined this coin, ONLY due to high 50% pos interest rate. First I notice there is no lock or unlock in this wallet. So, ok, im old school and can use walletpassphrase . I console that command, and no errors, and the lock icon on bottom right changes to an unlock symbol. I hover over the icon and it says "wallet is encrypted and unlocked". But Ive left it for hours at a time, and nothing. Ive restarted it probably 20 times. I dont even know my stake weight as there is not any information available about that. Ive tried deleting everything from roaming, but wallet.dat and resnycing from start. I did resync, but still no stakes. Whats REALLY strange is bottom left hand corner it says "minting suspended due to locked wallet", I hover over the unlocked icon on the right, it says "wallet is encrypted and unlocked" at the same moment!!! . Ive even tried setgenerate true 15000 in console. No errors, but no staking either. Tried walletrepair in console too. No errors. I have 14k coins. Is this just a bug? Do we need a wallet fix? Coin control was left out on purpose by the dev. Read the thread for a full explanation. Balls and HYP are two different coins in every way. Presstab (HYP dev) has put hundreds of hours of work into hyp wallet, and is not like anything else out there. 24 hours is min stake age for Balls. Balls usually stakes at 24 hours "on the dot". Havent missed a payment yet.

Ive been there, lost a shitload of coins to a wallet stealing keylogger . I feel your pain. It was painful enough for me to try to warn others in my sig. All you can do now is move on, and follow my rule. The other thing I did is work worth a company that develops antikeylogger, and they developed software that scrambles all keystrokes on all "wallet-qt" apps. (All our wallets). Hey, crazyloaf, if you dont mind me asking, other than HYP & TRK, what are your holdings? I heard you had a massive falling out with M, and therefore dont like balls. Word on the cryptostreet is your not a fan of HBN or caps because of low trade volume, and it makes it hard to exit. I dont know if any of this is even true, so I came to you. With all those eliminated what are you holding I haven't mentioned?

guys, here is the short of it.. you can make a shitload of money on HYP right now and probably for a while, BUT dont stay too long, and be standing right near the exit door during the party, because at some point, there will be a massive fire sale. You know how many people get out when there is a massive fire at a club? The same amount of fiat you will end up with.  |

Im another that holds all high pos coins, with a heavier weight on HYP and TRK. Got strong holdings on CAP, HBN, gave up on Tek . Got some triangles because of 30% POS and 1 hr minimum stake time (Many times I stake the same coin 8-10 times in 1 day), and some captcoin 30% POS 8 hr minimum stake time, got top V2 50% pos, and about 500 balls for the hell of it, and see what happens.

it be innovative, and definitely neat. Also both coins would benefit as stakers would help secure both networks and be rewarded for it. As long as we are the coin to merge mine with and not the coin merge mining with another one, why not. ANycoins we should talk to? I think we could start with TRK (as that's where we came from), then maybe TEK, HBN, and Caps. What do you guys think? Anyone that could reach out to these coins? The problem with merge minting is that those other coins have little reason to be merge minted. They are nowhere near the point where demand for stake blocks would be better met by combining minting "hash" power. The reason multipool minting works for HYP is the very conservative 1k HYP stake block max reward. Since some people are already using 4k HYP blocks to stake quicker, and in some cases "giving up" stake since they have age/rewards beyond the block max, HYP *could* get to the point where you need 5k, 10k, or even 15k HYP, if the difficulty is raised high enough, to efficiently hit the 1k HYP reward. It's all very clever  Crazyloaf..what do YOU know about POS coins..j/k man. Good to see you!! What do you think of Balls? Anyway I think this could work.. what about an exclusive merge mine pool with all high POS coins, and a MUCH higher fee that splits between the devs.. say 5%. The hashpower would be the highest EVER. Hell, add balls in the mix, and raise it to 7% pool fees. |

Presstab, I DO appreciate your fine work. You have one of the best coins out there. Your wallet is superior!! I wont say any more on the pool, im over it and I dont want to fud the thread. @Vegas, That HBN comparison does not work at all without taking into account the difficulty for HBN at the time of your previous mining period versus the difficulty now. If the difficulty around that time was 10x lower, you would have 10x higher payout then compared to now... Likewise must consider the block reward, if it has changed in this time frame (I'm not familiar with HBN). Check if you get another payout in the next 24h cycle, as it is possible that your hashing contributions have not all been paid out yet, even though you've stopped mining already. Remember that there is quite a bit of delay between hashing / maturing found blocks / dumping that on exchanges / purchasing HYP / paying out HYP to miners. On a general note: One should not expect a multipool to ever be the most profitable way to obtain "your coin of choice". It is just the most convenient one, specially if it's PoS only, or if your hardware is not suitable to the mining algorithm in question. What the multipool offers, is the convenience of doing the coin selection and trading on your behalf, so you don't need to bother with it, and you know you'll get paid on the coin you want. The price for this convenience is high'ish fees, and the caveat that the liquid BTC performance of the pool will not always be the best. That's just how all multipools work though. If you can afford the time & the patience, you're most likely to get a better deal by picking your coin manually, trading it for BTC, and then purchasing HYP. And a quick off-topic side note: Are you nearing 3MH/s on them 750TI's doing x11 yet?  Cheers! Ya.. good point lets look it up.. First the difficulty when I was mining: (Source; http://www.coinwarz.com/difficulty-charts/hobonickels-difficulty-chart) To be fair my sample started at 9am and ended at 9am the next day. What I did it chose 9pm from both 24 hour samples as the diff fluctuates a bit. First the diff I was mining on on Oct 22nd :  Then the difficulty the HYP pool was mining on last night': (the LOWEST its EVER been in the past 30 days, actually got down to a 20!!)  Yes my X11 farm hashes at 155 MhS Another thing: if the pool sends me the additional 4000+ HYP im due, I will send it to you, but dont get your hopes up. Any other questions ? Cheers. |
