5221  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: remember that time satoshi Created a p2p e-cash sent directly from one party to on: July 10, 2019, 06:17:43 AM
The peer-to-peer concept of bitcoin is still alive.I can send bitcoins to anyone on the planet, who has a bitcoin wallet. The problem is that the focus of the bitcoin community moved away from p2p and went into prices and cryptocurrency exchange platforms.Unfortunately,we can't stop all the greed.
5222  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Defending against the accusation of gambling on: July 09, 2019, 05:18:53 PM
I don't know if many of you notice this, but a lot of people who simply don't understand trading or derivatives seem hell bent on taking away our right to trade, just like the current proposed UK ban. They are cheering on the regulators to ban everything. They think any leverage is gambling. How do you feel realizing these people want to take your livelihood away?

In a globalized financial system with global markets it's really hard to ban any activity on a purely national level. If crypto trading gets banned in the UK.The traders will simply move their money to other jurisdictions, where crypto trading is allowed.Honestly,I don't a flying f**k about what people say in regards to crypto trading.
5223  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What are the features you want most in a sportsbook? on: July 09, 2019, 05:04:18 PM
We launched a Betbit.com's sportsbook a few months ago, and members here at bitcointalk.org have given us some great feedback. We are still implementing the ideas you guy's have had.

We are continually looking to improve, so we wanted to ask you guys what are the most important features you look for in a sportsbook? Let's assume that you actually use a sportsbook, and prefer bitcoin as a deposit method.

Please share your most important features. If you have more, please shout out below.

The feature that I want isn't on your list.I want the ability to watch live games inside my crypto sports betting account. You can do that with bet365,but you are required to have some money in your account balance AFAIK.That would be awesome. Grin

One day, I'll be able to buy daily groceries on OpenBazaar using Lightning Network.

Why Openbazaar? What makes it better than any other crypto marketplace?
It's great news that some brave merchants start accepting crypto for groceries, but they are a really small number.Probably 1 out of every 100,000 merchants will accept crypto payments, because he's familiar enough with hoe cryptocurrencies work.
5225  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: STEP TO TAKE WHEN PAYMENT IS BEEN DELAYED BY AN ONLINE CASINO on: July 09, 2019, 11:16:37 AM
I played on casino site some days back and won a  certain amount of money, i was expecting to cash out my money instantly because one of the things that lured me to the site was the fact they offer instant payment. Its been days now and am yet to get my money. Please help what can i do in this case because i am becoming impatient
PS i forgot to add that they are requesting i fill KYC form and i didn't see this before i started playing.

This is helluva misleading BS.Casinos offering instant withdrawals, but in reality you have to conduct KYC ID verifications and all that bureaucracy garbage, while waiting for weeks to get your money. Angry
That's why I don't use most of the online casinos. You simply can't trust them anymore(even if they are one of the big and legit casinos online).
There's nothing you can do except following their KYC rules and waiting patiently.
5226  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2019-07-07] Bitcoin Disrupting Banking; Deutsche Bank To Cut 18,000 Jobs by 202 on: July 09, 2019, 10:53:01 AM
Some banks are taking drastic steps to ensure that they survive by trying to catch up on innovation. The most recent example comes from Deutsche Bank. Its management is aware that “Digital is on the rise. No getting away from it.”

https://bitcoinist.com/bitcoin-disrupting-traditional-banking-infrastructure/

Deutsche bank might cut 18,000 jobs, but this won't be solely due to the rise of cryptocurrencies.
It's more about the rise of electronic online banking and payment services like Paypal,Skrill,Neteller, etc.
Again, the bankers are trying to blame crypto for everyting, including for the decreasing amount of workplaces in the traditional finance industry.
5227  Economy / Economics / Re: Northeast Asian messenger apps doing blockchain business on: July 09, 2019, 05:54:21 AM
This is the new trend.Instant messaging/social media apps combined with wallets and payment gateways.
Facebook is coming a bit late to the party, but they will change everything and dominate the market.
I'm not sure about adopting blockchain technology. Most of the apps will choose to create their own centralized tokens, because it will be cheaper and faster to implement.
5228  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What are the most unusual games you played in a crypto casino? on: July 09, 2019, 05:50:49 AM
I've played at rocket.run two months ago.The games have unusual design and graphic, while they are based on the same old dice/crash concept.OP,I see that you are posting this thread only to promote this micerase.com website. If this is your project, good luck with further development.
5229  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: the difference between Libra and Bitcoin on: July 09, 2019, 05:38:28 AM
most of the things you listed here don't even make sense. for example what does WhatsApp have to do with anything here! it is completely unrelated to either bitcoin or Libra.

the main difference as it is obvious and has been talked about hundreds of times, is the decentralization of bitcoin that doesn't exist at all in Libra. but another big difference is the goal of creation of each one. bitcoin was created to give users of the power and control while Libra is created to take that control away back to a company and also make that company rich in the process!

Well,Whatsapp might adopt Libra payments as well. They are Facebook's company after all. There is a Whatsapp business app that has more than 50 million installs on Android devices. There's potential for growth.
Anyway, the most important difference between Libra and bitcoin is the fact that Libra is backed by a single huge corporation, while bitcoin isn't.
5230  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: A completely decentralized world...How will it be? on: July 08, 2019, 05:18:33 PM
I think that this topic belongs to some other sub-forum,because you aren't talking about altcoins.
Decentralization has it's own benefits but we can't just turn it into a fetish(or a universal solution for all global problems). It might work well  in some industries, but it might turn into a disaster in other.
5231  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Looking for linkpartners on: July 08, 2019, 05:15:21 PM
Link exchanges aren't effective for SEO anymore. If you really wanna get valuable links, you will have to offer something valuable in return.Check out the Youtube channels of SEO experts like Neil Patel and Brian Dean.
Try to implement the "skyscraper technique" in your SEO strategy.
5232  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: World Cup Champion into Lucky.io Ambassador. on: July 08, 2019, 04:55:24 PM
It's kinda good when you become a world cup winner and holding that title for so long and being a brand ambassador at the same time.

This man, Roberto Carlos, who signed up as a brand ambassador of lucky.io which is a blockchain-based online casino. Lucky.io seems to be a good platform and will have some upgrades to it. Nowadays, It's easy to be an ambassador of a brand if you have a title or very popular.

source: https://www.cryptogamblingnews.com/world-cup-winner-roberto-carlos-lucky/

Having a famous guy like Roberto Carlos promoting your brand is a big win.
However,I think that this type of promotion is more suitable for the sports betting niche, not online crypto casinos. After all,Roberto Carlos is a retired soccer super star. Smiley

Failure to cease implementation before we can do so, risks a new Swiss-based financial system that is too big to fail."

Now this is a weird statement. Grin
Libra won't be a threat to the US dollar because the libra price will be tied to the US dollar price(if the rumors are right about that). However,it's always good to have a constructive discussion about that topic.Zuckerberg will be obligated to reveal his true intentions about this new facebook currency.
5234  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is there an functioning Arbitrage bot? on: July 08, 2019, 11:46:46 AM
Hi, As title states, and please I'm not looking for any kind of programms where you have to send money to and they tell you they do arbitrage. I'm looking for a "real" software that works with my accounts and is trustworthy.

Thanks in advance

Menax

I was looking for a crypto arbitrage bot in Google and I discovered an ad about thebitcoinarbitrage.com,which is an arbitrage trading script and they are promising 10% profit after 8 hours, which sounds too good to be true. However, this website is being advertised via Adwords ads and they don't tolerate crypto scams.
I'm not affiliated with this website and I don't trust it so can anyone share his experience?
5235  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is parlay an effective betting strategy? on: July 08, 2019, 11:40:01 AM
For me,winning a parlay is like winning the lottery. The odds are really small. Grin
I'm not a gambler that loves extreme risk and really small chances of winning,so I don't use parlays.
Parlay is NOT an effective strategy. It's not even a strategy. It's just another way for the bookies to squeeze out more money form the gambling addicts.
5236  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2019-07-07] New ECB Boss Christine Lagarde Made A Serious Bitcoin Warning on: July 08, 2019, 11:25:06 AM
Another FUD talk coming from the central bankers.Bitcoin and altcoins aren't a threat to the global financial system, because they are too small,in terms of global adoption and trading volume. The central bankers are trying to export the problems of the fiat banking system outside of their field, blaming the crypto world for everything that is wrong with the global finances.
5237  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The Many Faces Of Satoshi Nakamoto on: July 08, 2019, 11:21:32 AM
If Satoshi Nakamoto was really a team,it would be really hard for every member of that team to hide the truth about it for 10 years.OP,you forgot to mention another conspiracy theory in your list "Is Satoshi Nakamoto and bitcoin/blockchain created by CIA/FBI?" Grin
Nothing will be discovered about Satoshi, because there are forces, who don't want anything to be discovered.
5238  Economy / Speculation / Re: Downward Trend on: July 08, 2019, 06:42:16 AM
Is current crypto downward trend only temporary?

Every crypto price downward trend is temporary. And every crypto price upward trend is temporary as well. This is the nature of markets.By the way,I wouldn't call it a "trend" because it's not long term enough.
Maybe we should call it a price spike, not a trend.
5239  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Africa Cup Of Nations 2019 - Discussion Thread on: July 08, 2019, 06:38:49 AM
Nigeria is my favorite to win the African cup,but this tournament can't be predicted and I'm ready for some surprises. It was weird that Egypt was eliminated. They are very dependent of their big star Mo Salah  and this made them easy to get neutralized by the opponent's defense.
5240  Economy / Economics / Re: Is bitcoin volatility here to stay? on: July 08, 2019, 06:24:50 AM
I am a strong believer in HODL. I expected bitcoin volatility decreases as time goes by, I totally didn't expect such big price change in the past several days.

Is bitcoin volatility here to stay and not decrease?

I believe that the bitcoin price volatility will last forever,as long as bitcoin has a limited supply. This is what creates that volatility.Coins like ethreum can't have such price volatility, because they don't have limited supply.Crypto adoption is still in it's very beginning, but it might lower the price volatility a little bit.
