5221  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: In what situation would Bitcoin die? on: February 09, 2017, 07:45:49 PM
First download and watch "revolution" a TV series, then you'll understand that only way for demise of bitcoin is lack of electricity, with more than 7B people be assured that the demand and support will always be here.
Q-In what situation we'll no longer need to drink water to stay alive?
A-When we find a replacement for water.

There will be no need to find any replacement for bitcoin because it has the potentials and flexibility to be whatever we want it to be.
So the only scenario for the failure of btc is the nanobots preventing the current of electricity Cheesy.
5222  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What is the best source of bitcoin nowadays? on: February 09, 2017, 07:26:32 PM
I voted trading but I think mining is the winner candidate (not cloud mining) though, you think people create thousands of altcoins just for fun?
No they saw bitcoin started from a few cents and has become the most expensive currency, and they're hoping for the same fate Cheesy a big LOL.
Best second thing is to ride the wave of governments market manipulations and using it against them by taking advantage over price fluctuations.
5223  Economy / Speculation / Re: PBOC really wants to keep the price of BTC suppressed it seems on: February 09, 2017, 07:15:24 PM
Oh man.. this gives me a head ache... the levels of delusion are through the roof.

Seriously none of you see critical problems with Bitcoins inability to scale and the community refusing to adopt protocol changes that would resolve this to some extent? None of you care for you privacy?
Oh yea i forgot, you're not here to change how we do finance, you're here to try to trick others into it and make a lot of fiat quickly.

Why does Bitcoin need to scale? There are plenty of alt-coins for quick/micro payments. Leave BTC alone! If Satoshi wanted 2 MB blocks he would have made it 2 MB. If he wanted 1 min confirmation times, he would have made it 1 minute. Double your fees or wait hours, it's that simple. Stealing money from the miners because you are impatient/greedy is not the solution.
Exactly, if Satoshi wanted to destroy humanity he would've implemented something in the code, who gives a damn about Satoshi anymore? if he wanted any part in the bitcoin's future he would have stayed active. bitcoin isn't about what one person wants or likes and if the idea wasn't the peer2peer decentralized currency with fair distribution no one would've even looked at it, ever since source code was uploaded in github all the claims and rights were forfeited.

Nice thing about btc is that we all can do whatever others can do, do you think they are manipulating the market for profit? then stop being an idiot and buy when price drops to sell after the rise to earn your profit.
5224  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How would you store >100 Bitcoins? on: February 09, 2017, 01:05:09 PM
Have you guys checked the first 100k mined bitcoins? yes 100k and not 100, they are stored 50 bitcoins in each address which belongs to Satoshi.
I'm pretty sure if someone wanted to "hack" addresses they were the perfect candidates but since they only been used once without having any output they are safe.
Process requiring to hack an address is more like for someone trying to remember and guess 100 pages of paper filled with random numbers and letters, yes there are people with skills that could remember whatever they see but could they also guess what the next page's content is without seeing it first?
5225  Economy / Marketplace / Re: How can we encourage local businesses to accept BTC? on: February 09, 2017, 12:51:35 PM
I am looking to help move BTC forward into our economy more and would like to get some suggestions on how we can get more retailers to accept BTC as a payment.  The best part about accepting BTC is that they do not have any threat of charge-back from the customer.  I am just looking for some more input before I start approaching some of these local retailers.
As bitcoin is a way to conduct transactions through means of the internet and not cash most of the business owners will tin twice before considering to accept payment in btc rather credit or cash.

there is no transaction fees as such
Try explaining them about the benefits of bitcoin

nowadays explaining someone about bitcoin is not a big deal. internet is full of data, contents and details about bitcoin. thousands of websites wrote about bitcoin and it's benefits. so it should be easy for any adult person to get knowledge about bitcoin.

Try talking about BTC to your friends or your local shops. You will see the same eye rolling and gaping with their mouth open. Those people will think that youre crazy. We know all the information is available online theres no shortage of it. Everyday something new is available. What we do have a shortage on is a supply of smart people who will try to listen and understand.

I have had this similar experience myself and ended up making myself a laughing stock among my friends. They think that its a hoax and that bitcoin is made to steal people money when they buy bitcoins. They think its related to hackers and other creepy people who are trying to hack into their bank accounts.

Gaining trust in people is a very tough job. For them bitcoin will remain a scam type of money.
Hackers every where, they are currently hacking into thousands of bank accounts and pay them millions of dollars instead of taking their money.
There is absolutely no link whatsoever between a bitcoin transaction and bank accounts other than when you sell btc to someone they could send to your bank or pay you in cash. how is that for preventing theft? those are just lame excuses of lazy people not wanting to use their brains.

Only thing that could lead to merchants and local businesses to adopt bitcoin payment is for us to demand and demand as well providing them with detailed information on how to setup every thing perfectly to receive the coins and then either hold for profit in future or sell immediately after receiving, but the problem comes to the light when they try to use payment processors and their high fees takes away the incentive.
5226  Economy / Services / Re: Bitcoin Vanity Address Generation Service (Free Promotion) on: February 09, 2017, 12:39:31 PM
Thank you I received the requested address, 2 questions I have, is there any standard for bitcoin address length? can you generate an address entirely as you desire? like other than the first 1 you could chose every digits and letters?
I know it's stupid question but something like: 1H3LLOPLEASES3NDM3S0M3C01NS?
5227  Economy / Speculation / Re: Stoploss Do Not Work Anymore on: February 08, 2017, 07:13:03 PM
You got fooled by the wolves of the day trading market? cool story bro!!! you may not be aware of this but people are literally living by ripping off solo traders like you. there are hands above hands always you have been outsmarted.
5228  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BitCoin - Reducing Risk on: February 08, 2017, 06:08:52 PM
How about when price skyrockets from low $400 and goes to high $1000? the profit is good then but when comes to fall and decreasing value you want to talk about precautions? you can't have both sorry. don't be fooled by day traders trying to make you panic sell, bitcoin wont lose it's value.
5229  Economy / Speculation / Re: $500,000 per Bitcoin, baby. The math behind it. on: February 08, 2017, 05:59:53 PM
The reasoning is flawed, the math is flawed, the whole thing is fooking flawed. No way btc is going to be worth more than $500-$600 at most. Unless the Chinese gov't totally goes bananas and unban it.

OH REEALLY NOW?  Roll Eyes Grin

I started buying bitcoin in late 2013 in small increments (a kind of personally tailored dollar cost averaging), and I kept buying on the way down thinking that I was getting a better and better deal.

In late 2014, when prices were in the upper $300s, I thought that it had pretty much bottom out, and I bought a decent additional stash.

So throughout 2015 when prices stayed in the $200s, I engaged in a considerable debate with more than one "know-it-all" who was convinced that BTC would never again go above upper $200s, and strongly advising that I sell in order to recoupe some of my principle.... at that point, my average price per BTC was a bit over $500, and I said that I did not need to sell, and I think that it would be crazy to sell at a loss (and lock in losses).  I said that I would hold through it and just continue with my practice of buying on the way down.

So yeah, those were tough times, and us HODLers had to stick through a considerable period of depressed prices, but it seems to have paid off quite well.  Currently, my average cost per BTC is a bit over $400, so my portfolio is doing quite well and even measure profits of more than 150% - which is much more than my expectations of good performance of about 6% per year (which was what my stock index funds had returned on average over the previous 15 years).  Anyhow, better than 50% per year (on average) with bitcoin remains a decent place to be (and quite a bit of cushion) and even a bit of an ability to make fun of the naysayers.   Wink   Cheesy
Now you see this is what I'm talking about, people bought years ago and even 6 months ago are in significantly huge profit, and I know that one year from now when price is well above $2600 people if buying now will profit then.
These kind of stories that are good for moral in community, stories that are undeniable even for the most of the skeptics.
5230  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: IBM and Dubai Government initiate blockchain logistics initiative on: February 08, 2017, 05:22:02 PM
Good news for Bitcoin. People may have information about bitcoin thanks to blockchain technology.
I would like to see these kind of initiatives in other technology companies.
Why do you think it's a good news for bitcoin because the word blockchain was mentioned? Satoshi somehow invented a digital road and wheel.
Now if people try to build a road and run wheels and where that road leads is entirely separate from bitcoin.
5231  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Is there truest religion? on: February 08, 2017, 12:58:23 PM
Why do you ask us? if a religion has compelling arguments they should be able to speak for themselves you just need to research and evaluate all by yourself.
5232  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Adam Back thinks he is the inventor of Bitcoin on: February 08, 2017, 12:39:32 PM
Sorry Raw but first I had to go to the bathroom when I saw "OWNER OF BITCOIN" and now that I'm back lets talk serious, Satoshi only owns his pants and nearly a million bitcoins other than that he donated his invention to the world when he uploaded the source code to the public.
I'm going to play along, imagine he is the real Satoshi, now what? do we have to bow down or something?
5233  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Bitcointalk Post Iconizer - Custom post / PM editing buttons for adding BB code on: February 08, 2017, 11:58:41 AM
Is there any way to have something like spoiler that when clicked it shows whatever was putted inside? sometimes people quote long posts and we could save some space by hiding some content under a 2 lines thick space.
5234  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Best Pair to trade with Bitcoin? BTC-USDT or BTC to Altcoins? on: February 08, 2017, 11:29:56 AM
Do you remember 6 months ago, what was the price? someone just by simply holding the coins in wallet until now would have doubled their money up to $200m, when bitcoin is presenting such rare opportunities buy when price drops below $900 which definitely will happen whether we like it or not and wait half a year to double your money. I'm talking about huge investments not like alts that when you buy $500 only by tricks and heavy manipulation you could double that amount lol.
And my modest opinion would be BTC-USDT.
5235  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can we have a bitcoin day? on: February 08, 2017, 11:10:30 AM
Make a movie as well while you're at it Cheesy Cheesy "The day Bitcoin network stood still" does any one knows who was the mother of bitcoin baby?
Satoshi must've had a hard job to satisfy her since it took him 6 days Cheesy.
5236  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BitCoin Volatility on: February 08, 2017, 08:10:21 AM
Volatility in what exactly? network activity, mining power, mining difficulty, transactions fees, exchange price, which one?
Bitcoin without these fluctuations is not bitcoin at all, in fact all we know well about are the same behaviors that identifies the bitcoin as a true decentralized currency.
If you ever see stability in the entire system know for sure something is wrong.
5237  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin saving on: February 08, 2017, 07:04:09 AM
52 cards of gambling, 52 weeks equals one year, do you really think it's all you, doing the earnings, doing the savings? trust in the one who has provided for you and for every living creature and try to grow your savings by throwing some dice and you might get lucky this time.

Statement above is my greed and my demon talking in my head with my voice every time I decide to save some bitcoins Sad.
5238  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How to explain bitcoin to teenagers or children on: February 08, 2017, 06:11:00 AM
I explain everything to my mom and she goes every where and explain to them, now most of them are not teenagers still all never understand what bitcoin is about, she even once told me that she wont tell anyone any more about crypto so that I and my sister could have some sort of advantage as early adopters Smiley.
I have tried to educate(not that I know a lot but still I know more) my younger brother but no matter what I say he still isn't interested since he's busy with telegram all the time.
5239  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: lucky ! does it influences by a woman beside of us? on: February 08, 2017, 05:48:43 AM
Be careful not to lose her after you lost everything Cheesy and there is no such a thing as "luck" if you know anything about quantum physics you'd know every event could potentially be predetermined.
5240  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: What is signature campaign? And how can I earn btc by doing such stuff? on: February 08, 2017, 05:14:41 AM
If you feel obligated for the sake of post to earn, you'll end up in SMAS.
For example, I'm not posting just to earn but trying to learn as well in the process.
Since I read most of the comments I can see there are literally hundreds of people that join signature campaigns with 5 or more accounts and they usually have a few browser and few tabs open in each one and I see how they saturating the threads and useful information with their total shitposts.
Try not to be like them.
