5241  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you suggest participate in airdrop? why? on: May 18, 2019, 04:19:04 PM
Guys, I will tell you something essential in your life: There Ain't No Such Thing as a Free Lunch!

So when an airdrop seems free, it doesn't. It must have costs associated with it, i.e., your identity in the form of email address, ETH address, phone number, ID card, etc. These data aren't free! Furthermore, you risk your ID sold in the black market.
5242  Local / Bahasa Indonesia (Indonesian) / Re: Apakah mungkin suatu saat nanti bitcoin menjadi tidak berharga [dead coin] ? on: May 18, 2019, 03:46:10 PM
harga sekarang sekitar $7.785 padahal bulan lalu sempat menembus sekitar $5.000.

5243  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How to make a qualified post! on: May 17, 2019, 08:18:47 AM
C'mon mate! In my opinion, there is no such thing as qualified or unqualified posts. People are here to discuss something, so let it flow naturally like when you discuss "serious" stuff in the real world. You will typically use links, citations, theories, etc., to make your arguments have a sound basis.
5244  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Crypto Market Roiled by New Allegations Against Tether, Bitfinex on: May 17, 2019, 07:53:50 AM
It's just that this news is like being made viral too early.
So after evidence after evidence being published, it is indeed a problem (my comment was three weeks ago by the way).

I have read a story like this before. The government and regulators are trying to see the loopholes of booming companies and they will do their best to expose everything in public as much as possible to defeat it.
I don't think the government and regulators are the bad guys, they only act this "harsh" to protect consumers AFAICT.
You should know that custodial account prone to embezzlement, and exchanges often used as money laundering service.
5245  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Claymore's Dual Ethereum AMD+NVIDIA GPU Miner v14.3 (Windows/Linux) on: May 17, 2019, 07:24:33 AM
I tried v14.3 in Windows 10 and (still) made my Windows 10 running in test mode. My cards are RX550 4GB and RX560 4GB with stock bios (I reflash them all), tried with -strap 2 and got a similar result with my previous custom bios. I'll give you an update for stability measurement after 24 hours or so.

From my tentative view, this version seems stable and do what it promised. The "-strap" feature really helps newbies who don't want to flash their bios.

i get this every time i start     " Failed, miner activated Windows Test Signing Mode, please reboot to apply it and start miner again" what does it mean?
AFAIK, you need to enter test mode.
5246  Local / Bahasa Indonesia (Indonesian) / Re: Pengiriman uang dengan bitcoin. Lebih murah ataukah lebih mahal?[Update Q1-2019] on: May 17, 2019, 07:03:12 AM

5247  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Claymore's Dual Ethereum AMD+NVIDIA GPU Miner v14.2 (Windows/Linux) on: May 16, 2019, 08:04:04 AM
I tried v14.2 in Windows 10 and made my Windows 10 running in test mode...
My cards are RX550 4GB and RX560 4GB with custom bios, tried with -strap 1 and got worse hashrate Grin
So I disabled -strap and it seems that this version run as stable as v12.0
I'll give you update after 24 hours or so.
5248  Local / Bahasa Indonesia (Indonesian) / Re: Pengiriman uang dengan bitcoin. Lebih murah ataukah lebih mahal?[Update Q1-2019] on: May 16, 2019, 07:01:44 AM
fee wd nya hanya Rp. 6.500,- berapa pun nilai transaksi WD nya.

Perlu dicatat:

TAPI

It breaks my heart by the way to see so much drama in this forum. Why can't we just chill, talk shit, enjoy the laughter like in any other mainstream forum?
5250  Local / Altcoins (Bahasa Indonesia) / Re: Apa Itu STO? on: May 16, 2019, 05:13:46 AM

5251  Local / Trading dan Spekulasi / Re: [DISKUSI] Harga Bitcoin on: May 16, 2019, 04:37:23 AM

https://www.investopedia.com/video/play/short-squeeze/

5252  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Article claims bitcoin mixers are no longer safe on: May 15, 2019, 03:44:01 AM
So the article only mentions some of the mixers as an example, not to be taken literally.

Quote
Centrally operated BTC mixers of the sort referenced here include Mixertumbler, Bestmixer.io, Blender.io, Bitcoinfog, and Gramshelix. There is no means of knowing which mixer the authorities succeeded in deanonymizing
Source: https://news.bitcoin.com/dont-trust-bitcoin-mixers-and-other-opsec-lessons-from-the-darknet/

It understandable to be skeptical about centrally operated tumblers, and AFAIK most of them (the tumblers) are centralized. Thus the anonimity rely on how they function. Here to see some research/discussion about this matter: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5117328.0
5253  Local / Bahasa Indonesia (Indonesian) / Re: [Share] [Info] Satoshi Nakamoto Goes To Public...??? on: May 15, 2019, 02:41:36 AM

Masih gak percaya kesaktian analisis metadata?

5255  Economy / Economics / Re: Was Satoshi someone who lost everything in 2008 Market Crash? on: May 15, 2019, 01:49:17 AM
Satoshi only created one project which is bitcoin
The project he even created himself was intended for payment purpose only
Proof? No seriously what's your point?

What I'm saying is that IMO one person could not do what SN did in relation with Bitcoin inception. Since it's a weak argument and my opinion only, I use ICOs as a comparison. ICO with a well-funded team cannot do what SN did. Therefore SN probably is not a human (single person) but a well-funded team, and won't be affected by 2008 market crash.

Above is not a fact, but my opinion supported with logical explanation/story.
5256  Economy / Economics / Re: Russia to replace USD reserves with Bitcoin on: May 15, 2019, 01:32:45 AM
Many Russian businessmen hold their funds in Bitcoin.
Who?

For example, Herman Greff, director of Sberbank.
Quote
Sberbank of Russia CEO German Gref admitted to having a small amount of cryptocurrency — bitcoin, he said Thursday at Finnopolis 2015 conference.
"I am one of the victims, I have a small amount of bitcoins," he said
Source: http://tass.com/economy/821750

I'm just saying that you need proof more than rumors from crypto media. Also, it would be best if you had a logical construct, to guide your thinking. For example, even if your statement is true "Many Russian businessmen hold their funds in Bitcoin," it doesn't mean that what OP said is true "Russia will replace its USD reserves with Bitcoin."
5257  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Co-Founder & CTO Leaves TRON To Start His Own Project! on: May 14, 2019, 05:12:54 AM
Tron was never decentralized, right? I find this article pretty entertaining: https://www.coindesk.com/ex-tron-cto-denies-founder-justin-suns-accusations-of-embezzlement-bribery

The pattern keeps the same: create a currency, mine billions of tokens in your own pocket, hype it so others buy into, sell your tokens and watch the project slowly dying. Repeat with another coin.
Indeed, and newbies always fall for the same modus operandi again and again.
5258  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: gotsatoshi.com to reveal the identity of satoshi in 12 hours on: May 14, 2019, 04:10:47 AM
Look what I found on its metadata:

I bet this is only to sell you a new coin that has nothing to do with Bitcoin. Sounds too scamy right?
5259  Economy / Economics / Re: Why can't we have a good cryptocurrency exchange? on: May 14, 2019, 03:52:39 AM
I enjoy using IDEX with smart contracts and instant exchanges like Changelly, ChangeNOW, ShapeShift... but I'm just a casual user, so I don't care much about trading performance. I think these exchanges are sufficient for casual users.

As for traders and whales, I think they always end up in centralized exchange due to performance (and liquidity) superiority. I'm afraid that the centralized exchanges would end up like the Wallstreet IMO for more security.
5260  Local / Bahasa Indonesia (Indonesian) / Re: [DISKUSI]Forum Chronicle on: May 14, 2019, 03:18:01 AM

Misalnya:

Sifat pseudonim Bitcoin
...
Bitcoins are sent to and from bitcoin addresses, which are essentially random numbers with no identifying information.

When you send to an IP address, the transaction is still written to a bitcoin address. The IP address is only used to connect to the recipient's computer to request a fresh bitcoin address, give the transaction directly to the recipient and get a confirmation.

Blocks contain a history of the bitcoin addresses that a coin has been transferred to. If the identities of the people using the bitcoin addresses are not known and each address is used only once, then this information only reveals that some unknown person transferred some amount to someone else.

The possibility to be anonymous or pseudonymous relies on you not revealing any identifying information about yourself in connection with the bitcoin addresses you use. If you post your bitcoin address on the web, then you're associating that address and any transactions with it with the name you posted under. If you posted under a handle that you haven't associated with your real identity, then you're still pseudonymous.

For greater privacy, it's best to use bitcoin addresses only once. You can change addresses as often as you want using Options->Change Your Address. Transfers by IP address automatically use a new bitcoin address each time.
...
