I bet there will be a repeat of the pirate-default. A lot of FUD and then nothing.

Exactly. What will happen when Matt doesn't pay? Nothing at all. And THAT is his lesson to the community.
So the lesson is that people can scam this community without fearing any consequences. Shocked

Yes.

Wow, that's pretty bad. How much did he run off with?

5 Million USD.
5245  Economy / Lending / Re: 1000-2000 BTC loan - Hookah bar on: September 09, 2012, 01:38:22 AM
You keep mentioning students as your primary demographic. Do you realize students have no buying power and will keep sipping that single Coke they ordered for 5 hours?

Do you realize how high the cost is to keep a full complement of beverages refridgerated? Because in existing bars this is a major issue.

Do you realize the costs associated with sanitary measures like wiping that puke off the walls of that toilet?

Do you realize the extent of the contracts you have fulfill to even be delivered that beverage your customers are screaming for?
5246  Economy / Lending / Re: 1000-2000 BTC loan - Hookah bar on: September 08, 2012, 08:58:40 PM
You should probably find out why that other bar doesn't sell Hookah anymore. These things happen for a reason.
5247  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: [POLL] Should the PPTs for BTCST be held at least partially responsible? on: September 08, 2012, 08:33:59 PM
I wonder how the answer changes, if pirate turns out to be a zeek rewards passthrou as suspected.
5248  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitinstant brokering extortion threats? on: September 08, 2012, 07:40:40 PM
What about selling toxic cakes for BTC at church bake sales? This should get everyone on board. The compassionate guys and the "bad things = more exposure" crows.

Consider the interest to be buying someone around you a beer or coffee.  Smiley

Anybody else notice that's at least over 100% interest? lol

No.

What does beer/coffee cost around where you live? I'd pay €2 (for coffee) / € 2,50 (for beer) at most.

Fakes can be the identical drug with no name on it....

Because a pair of jeans don't say Levi on them does that make them fake jeans?

I'm not talking generics or clones. I'm talking fakes without/with less/with false active ingredients.

WHO has identified more than 70% of drugs sold in Thailand being falsified with mostly no active ingredients.

In his old big thread flaxceed was selling preparations that had not been produced by their company for years. Considering the black market for these specific preparations has been dry for years too with only fakes without active ingredients flooding the market, I find it very unlikely he somehow stumbled across a deserted pharmacy full of the stuff.

Granted his new thread is free of this, but then again he reduced his product palette quite a bit to pretty standard stuff that's quite easily obtained from just about everywhere.
5254  Economy / Long-term offers / Re: [POLL] 'Who's Who' in Ponzitown (vote anonymously) on: September 08, 2012, 05:15:37 PM
Yeah, this needs a "everyone but dank" option.

who will default next.

All of them.

On 420chan/7chan/Tranchan they have unique ways to raise HRT funds.
You could prob start selling hormones online like Inhouse Pharmacy does but for bitcoins (unsure of legality). InHouse is just reselling affiliate pharma marketing drugs like every other online pharmacy. They sold so much HRT they've made an entire site just for Transgender drugs.

flaxceed https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=24196.0 is selling prescription stuff so you may be able to team up. He might have good suppliers for that sort of thing.

Most of his stuff are very obvious fakes. I would strongly advise against acquiring hormones from a source like that.

You're not the friend, sorry.  I'm not killing anybody with tobacco, they choose to do it themselves and it only kills you if you believe that it will.
so i guess those warnings on the cigarette packs were wrong all along?
A lot of people smoke when they're stressed.  A lot of people associate negative thinking with cigarettes.  Negative thinking is what causes sickness, it's created in your mind.  You can smoke cigarettes and as long as you don't let you're problems consume your life, you'll be fine.  Life is what you believe after all.

Are you homeschooled?

Wait a minute...

09/10/12 All shall be revealed(?)

Isn't that when Matt's bet runs out?

Matt stole Romneys tax records?
5259  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: Bitfloor status update - September 6, 2012 on: September 08, 2012, 01:44:42 AM
Is it just me or was there a part missing from his update about how people owed BTC would be repaid? I'm not sure its a good idea for the community to back someone who can leave unencrypted wallets on the server and when it gets hacked say "oops my bad. Your bitcoins are gone but good news you can deposit more soon and hope I do a better job securing them this time."

Shit happens.
You weren't saying that back when it was your money on the line too...

Oh, hello, Atlas.

You still owe me some BTC for that bet from last year that you rewrote a bajillion times AFTER I had won.

I think it was 1 BTC or so. Applying Pirate interest on that it should now be about 43 BTC.

Please remit to the adress in my sig. Thank you.
