5241  Economy / Economics / Re: Passive income : Bank interest vs staking on: April 25, 2022, 01:04:46 PM
There's no brainer if we do compare out bank interest to APY which been offered with staking with altcoins which you do say that most of them are scams and the rest do really fails. 5-10% APY is really realistic

but offering above those numbers are basically not really that suggestable for you to engage on and as been said or mentioned that its price would be crashing until you do end up on earning nothing or peanuts.

Its never been recommended to consider out staking as a good way of investing considering the duration and risk involved into it.
Up to 16% is still fine because I've seen legitimate exchanges that do offer that APY for staking some specific tokens and coins. The risk on it is that your fund is on exchange.
And you know what comes with that risk when you don't hold the keys and that's going to be on the exchange's jurisdiction and you'll never know if they've been casually checking their security for loopholes.
5242  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: High Rollers on: April 25, 2022, 07:30:35 AM
This can be for fun, and I believe these whale gamblers are in profit even after wagering with such big amounts. Without profit whether it is a whale or someone who doesn't care about money will rethink whether to wager with such big amounts further. There is more chances of these whales to be in profit. Op should've watched little more time, if so we could've known whether he won further or took break.
They have planned it before they put those huge bets. But there's a possibility that they've just bet it due to their emotion tickling them and they're triggered.
That's very possible but for most of them, they're planning their actions and their wagers. And as they bet with such amounts, it's either they've won that amount in the past or they have it on their stash but is willing to lose.
5243  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do You Think New Casino Should Partnered With Bounty Managers To Gain Trust? on: April 24, 2022, 11:36:01 PM
It's their choice but I don't think that it should be like that. Reputation starts from the casino itself and if a reputable manager comes by to partner with them, he's going to be involved with it and just be brought up due to the manager's reputation. But that's a good start if they are willing to partner with a reputable manager from the forum and that's part of their strategy and hopefully, they'll carry that on as they operate. Well, as they say, every business has their own strategy to make with.
5244  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 Philippine Basketball Association betting discussion on: April 24, 2022, 10:46:37 PM
Yeah, it has broken the theory that it's all scripted, fake and already set for game 7. But honestly, I want to see a game 7 match and it's going to be the one most exciting moments for these two wins.
But anyway, it has ended and the best team has won, Ginebra! I've got a friend who bet 50k php for Meralco and sorry that his bet got to lose.

I thought it also that there's a game seven of this match between the ginebra and meralco bolts but  I am surprised that the three win streak of the ginebra will end the conference and ill prefer ginebra to win in game seven . Anyways ginebra is the king if comeback they can win even they are on bottom like in implementation round they are not in the too but by the help of their import they advance to the finals and now they won the championships.
Yeah, was able to see their progress at semis and thought that they'll be out but all of those expectations that we've thought. They've just broken it.
They're the best team for this conference and will they be able to retain that for the next season? I guess so. Well, now that the championship is finished, I'm starting to see now those veteran players advertising their political bets.
5245  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Advice for poor people who wanna get some crypto on: April 24, 2022, 09:46:39 PM
Those are temporary incentives and they might remove in the future. Yes, there are other platforms that would give you free crypto but in exchange for your identity. If you're okay with that then try searching most of the top exchanges. And since you're already in Coinbase, they have an earn feature and the same with coinmarketcap.

5246  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ETH wallet password on: April 24, 2022, 12:10:01 PM
if I created a wallet with a password and then exported the private key .Does in any way I will need the password or is the private key sufficient ?
Thanks
Just keep the private key and you're good. Password is needed if you don't have a private key but since you have it, when you export it to another wallet then that will be enough.
To know it exactly, you can have a dry run and test a new wallet with a new private key without any funds and you'll see if it's working just as what everyone has told you here.
5247  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Drake became partners of the Stake Casino on: April 23, 2022, 11:19:42 PM
In the win-win statement, it is not that someone will win more and someone else will win less, but that no one is losing out on it. At least not Stake.com or Drake.
However, I think that with such a large marketing expense, Stake.com may try to raise its house edge to cover the costs. So if someone loses out on it, it's probably players.
Well as said by the others, two of them are winning on this. The expense for things like this is well budgeted by them. They have it cover and if there's a change to their house, we'll know about it.
In marketing or having a deal with a celebrity, there's always the cost ready and they've got a huge budget on this so if you're thinking about it. They don't even discuss it in the public.
5248  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Dogecoin Spikes 10% After News Of Musk's $3B Stake in Twitter on: April 23, 2022, 10:31:53 PM
These spikes are just temporary and it will be gone even before the day ends. Those scalp traders are the ones who makes the most from it and they're happily going to trade it and sell it eventually if they get 5% or 10% and even more by that time before it starts to drop again.
Well, those who have been holding dogecoin at the top. You're now feeling that there's a need for you to do something before you get more losses. It's either you sell or wait until it goes back to the past ATH which is unlikely.
5249  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 Philippine Basketball Association betting discussion on: April 23, 2022, 09:34:05 PM
Welp, Ginebra won and they're now this conference's champion. And it's just an "IF" if ever there will be a game 7 but not anymore.
The conference has ended and it's a sweet victory for the Gin kings and the next conference is I'm excited for, Alaska out - Converge in.

No more conspiracy theory, the better team won the game and Ginebra was already declared as the champion. That was too easy, 3 straight wins to end the series and Thompson again received an award, such a very impressive season for this kid, not surprised if he wins the season's MVP as well.

5250  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What kind of coin or token will be chosen and survive? on: April 23, 2022, 08:32:58 PM
I think cryptocurrencies are not able to defeat fiat currencies without changing nations culture and ethics! what do you think?
A few years back, that's my thinking about cryptocurrencies that they'll entirely going to replace the monetary system. But right now, it seems that it won't and both of them are going to co-exist.
The one that will survive first and no obvious is bitcoin and then ethereum. It's hard to tell the other cryptocurrencies are going to be the same as these two heavy top crypto.
5251  Local / Pamilihan / Re: Coins.ph Official Thread on: April 23, 2022, 11:44:26 AM

5252  Local / Altcoins (Pilipinas) / Re: Axie Infinity Philippine Thread on: April 23, 2022, 10:12:30 AM
Dapat kasi talaga may buy back silang ginagawa.

5253  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Making e-sports more affordable on: April 22, 2022, 11:05:03 PM
Before it was just like P2P in game currency and items. There's a real economy to those games that has started with RPGs. Now, esports is a competitive scene and this is where many of us are enjoying it. Even if we're not good or pro players, we can enjoy it just like the old days.
I'd like to play and earn for free and if it's one of my favorite games, I'd also be forced to learn those games that I don't know if you can have fun and make money from it.
5254  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Price of Litecoin 2022? on: April 22, 2022, 10:11:38 PM
Which price of a Litecoin is possible in 2022? What do you expect as alltime-high and price in end of 2022?
Well, you do not expect a lot anymore with Litecoin. But if you analyze the chart of it, there's a possible trend that it will go up and reach back its ATH.
Not a financial advise but it's unknown if that's going to be likely for the end of this year. A lot has gone far for Litecoin, before it's part of the top 5 and then now gone from that post.
5255  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 Philippine Basketball Association betting discussion on: April 22, 2022, 05:08:01 PM
I've read a post that if ever Meralco wins the 6th game, then the game 7th is going to be on the Philippine Arena. Well, it's already been said here IIRC a few days ago.
But the thing that caught the attention of the people on that post is about "IF". They've given a big meaning to that because they're telling that Ginebra is going to lose in advance.

I don't think that way. There should be really an advance update regarding the future venue and that is necessary as fans need to adjust. Traveling to Bulacan is not that simple for others compared to going to Araneta and MOA Arena especially those who lived in the capital.

It's not that PBA will just release the announcement where the venue for Game 7 should be after the Game 6. Don't take it with a wrong impression. Smiley

That's why the term "if necessary" is always present at any game series match, here or outside the local league.

5256  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which wallet do you think is the best? on: April 22, 2022, 09:53:46 AM
Still hardware wallet and mine is a Ledger. I want to have Trezor and use it since it's popular for the NFT that I've got and securing those NFT assets that I have whilst in Ledger, it's not yet supported but that's good to me. I've been used to Ledger and very secured based on my experience.
To those that still don't own any good reputable hardware wallet, save and buy it and treat it as your investment because it will protect your assets.

<snip>
Siguro pumalo man ng 3 pesos to 7 pesos ulit, goods na yun.

5259  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How good is staking coins? on: April 21, 2022, 11:37:06 PM
some of the altcoins at stake are not all good. look back at the liquidity of those altcoins. Staking can give you an advantage, because staking is a very good way for us to use crypto. if you are risking it is the same as trading, you should be able to re-analyze the state of the market.
Those coins that have low liquidity, they're the ones that have the higher and unbelievable APY. But that doesn't really make sense because there's a low volume on it and it's not ideal.
While for those coins that has a good volume and liquidity, they're the ones that usually have the lowest APY and that's normal just like the banks because they're profitable and a lot are into it.
5260  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [CHESS] World Championship 2021: Carlsen Vs. Nepomniachtchi on: April 21, 2022, 10:33:25 PM
War is horrible and stupid
there's people who support it
I don't support them
but I think horrible and stupid people should be allowed to play chess (and get good at it)
hopefully learning and playing chess will even help to make them less horrible and stupid

But does anyone forbid them to play chess? The bottom line is that the disagreements with these people (who support the war) have reached such proportions that those who do not support the war simply do not want to play with them. Isn't this a basic human right - freedom of association? There is a community of people who love chess and don't like war. They don't want to play chess with those who support the war. Nobody forbids war lovers to play chess - they can do it with anyone (who agrees to it).

well, the chess federation forbids them
my point is exactly the idea that in a game like chess someone's values doesn't matter that much
their skills matter.
This isn't just for chess but also for other sports. Russians have been now banned in many sporting events due to the war that has been ongoing even up to this point.
It's part of the sanction that they're getting but it's true that those that are not really involved should be allowed to play not because they're on this race or that because they also have their disagreement to what currently is happening.
