5241  Economy / Speculation / Re: Anyone here long enough? on: May 15, 2019, 02:13:56 PM
You have posted in the wrong section mate. The right section for this thread would be speculation.

As for the OP, I have been in this community since 2015 and I have been through few bear markets.
Through my experience I can say that you can never tell when the next bear market would begin or the next trend change would occur.
Although there are a few facts that you can predict.

  • The market will recover for sure sooner or later.
  • Once the price has gone upwards for quite some time, it is surely going to fall down a little to make a correction.
  • If the price is continuously going up for a long time then it is a bubble.

So you can expect to sell your coins when the market is going upwards for quite some time. We can't predict the exact time though.
It is something that we have to understand on our own.
5242  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What's the point of these hacks? on: May 13, 2019, 05:54:31 PM
As I remember correctly (post if I am wrong) Binance CEO was suggesting people to hold their coins on most trustworthy exchange and in this situation he was paying attention to binance. Overally suggested people to trust binance and hold their coins here.
But recently there was a hack and 7000btc were stolen. So what was the point?
1. Binance has good security system and this hack is false, they just wanted to give a bad reputation to cryptocurrencies (this work comes from governments and financial institutes) because now there will be a rain of articles about how bad crypto world is, how unsecure it is and etc.
2. They are stupid and really had security issues
No system is Safe! - Read it on somebody's personel text.

As long as a system is connected to the internet and has vulnerabilities, it is possible to hack the system and steal the data in it.
I believe no system is unhackable, you just have to find the right vulnerability to it. Hackers found it out and hacked binance.
Why they did it ? Probably for the money. Nobody can be blamed here. It was just a misfortune that happened.
5243  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: DID SATOSHI EVER THOUGHT TO MAKE BITCOIN A MAINSTREAM CURRENCY? on: May 13, 2019, 05:47:25 PM
In my opinion, all he wanted was to develop a currency which would be anonymous and easy to transact over a network while passing through the consensus.
He created bitcoin to achieve the following and made it such that it solves all the problems he ever imagined. Fortunate or unfortunate that he decided to let bitcoin grow on it's own.
Basically whatever he did was planned and so we can't say that he never thought bitcoin would go mainstream someday. He must have thought about it which is why he created bitcoin at first place.
5244  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Full node on a Smartphone on: May 13, 2019, 02:40:50 PM
I don't know how would it be possible but HTC has just announced that it's new smartphone will have the capability to run a full node of bitcoin blockchain.
HTC has announced in a press release on May 11 that it's new Smartphone the Exodus 1S will contain the full bitcoin blockchain.

According to Google the minimum system requirements are as follows
Windows/Mac/Linux
200GB of storage
2GB ram
An internet connection
6 hours of continuous run

While the ram and internet connection is not a problem the other things might not be ideal for the current smartphones.
200GB on a smartphone will make it's price very expensive (where HTC smartphones are already so expensive)
6 hours of continuous run would decrease the efficiency of the smartphone and will probably lead to a bricked smartphone.

How they are gonna do it is still a mystery. Honestly, I don't think they are gonna make it or probably they are faking it.

5245  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Could this pump be attributed to Justin Sun or Binance? on: May 12, 2019, 02:34:06 PM
Well it may or may not be possible but I don't think it would have happened because the Binance hack occured on May 7.
As of May 7 the price of bitcoin was around $5800 which is almost double the price of the ATL of this year.
We could say that the price started pumping way back than the binance hack occured.

None of you can beat this I bet. "Sperm donor" it is a job though some of you might not consider it as a job but it is.
I am sure AI, ML or robotics can never do this. The only source for this is a human  Grin Grin
Though genetic engineering is growing these days, it is only able to alter the genes and not create it yet.

5247  Other / Off-topic / Re: RASPBERRY PI on: May 12, 2019, 02:10:46 PM
Yes, Python is the most convenient language used to start with programming on Raspberry pi. It is not the only language you can use since you have options to choose from C, C++, PHP, Ruby, Java, JavaScript etc..
Below you can find an introductory tutorial on getting started with Raspberry pi which will then lead to advanced tutorials.

5249  Other / Off-topic / Buying shares with crypto on: May 11, 2019, 05:36:53 PM
How would the thought of buying shares/stocks with cryptocurrencies like bitcoin/ether strike you ?
For me it would be great because it will make one eligible to buy international stocks with an ease.
It will eliminate all the middleman and create a truly decentralized ecosystem to buying stocks/shares.
What are your thoughts/suggestions/comments on the idea ?
5250  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Finally $200 billion total Marketcap is achieved. on: May 11, 2019, 05:25:44 PM
While it is good to see bitcoin pumping hard and price rising up so fast, I fear that the sudden rise in btc price might eventually result in a huge correction.
It is definite to happen since a correction always takes place after a spike in the market. The bigger the spike is, the bigger correction takes place.
Anyway, it is too soon to say that a correction is coming since bitcoin has just started to spike up the market.
5251  Other / Off-topic / Re: Facebook Going Crypto | Your opinion? on: May 11, 2019, 07:47:18 AM
It's obviously a good news since a big company like Facebook involving in crypto would give a bigger fame to crypto. The thing to note here is what will be the purpose of the new coin that Facebook is gonna bring to the crypto market. They say it's a stable coin and I wonder how that will benefit us. Anyway, that will remain a mystery until Facebook makes an official announcement. I don't think it will create a big impact since people will only invest in it if it has a potential to go up and I don't know a stable coin would make this possible.
5252  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: what will happen to ethereum in this bullrun? on: May 11, 2019, 06:54:58 AM
bitcoin has gone up to $6200, but why is ethereum still stagnant at $170. Does this mean that ethereum won't rise again?. I was thinking of buying ethereum but if I look at it like this I might cancel it.

does this mean that ethereum will be one of the altcoins that won't rise in the bullrun this time?
Current price of bitcoin $6800.
Current price of ether $177.

Bitcoin is pumping while the altcoins are not. This is probably because people are selling alts over btc.
This is quite expected. If anybody wanna buy altcoins like ether then now would be the best time to buy.
The price of altcoins is dumping in btc but it will eventually increase in terms of $dollars since bitcoin is pumping in price.
5253  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is this the end of Newbie? on: May 11, 2019, 06:44:11 AM
I believe everything happens for a reason and you get to learn something from anything that happens. It's the same as "If you win, you win and if you lose then you get a lesson from it."
So even if you have lost time and effort by following so many projects at least you have got to learn that not to trust such projects and analyse a project thoroughly before investing in it.
Change your perspective by thinking that this is not the end but the beginning of a new journey.
5254  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Funds are no more #SAFU! Binance lied? on: May 11, 2019, 06:29:52 AM
No you are wrong. The funds are indeed SAFU because if it was not then all those who lost their bitcoins would never have received it back in their wallets.
Although Binance lied that they are doing an unscheduled maintenance they did reveal the real reason behind it.
What else do you think they would have said when they hadn't even analysed what had happened at that time.
If they would have said anything other than this then it would have created a panic among the people and spread a FUD in the market.
I think what binance did was probably the best thing to do.
5255  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Anyone who use mobile wallets? on: May 10, 2019, 05:35:07 PM
Anyone who use mobile wallets?
I think it is very dangerous.

Can you describe dangerous ?

I have been using mobile wallets for more than 2 years and never have I ever faced any trouble using them. According to me a wallet on a PC is more prone to malware as compared to a smartphone.
Besides that, mobile wallets enables us to use multi-layer 2FA which increases the overall security of the wallet. Also, the key point here is that never store the private keys on your smartphone without any encryption/security. If a phone is lost then the person can easily get the private keys stored on your smartphone.
5256  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Time to choose Kucoin ??? on: May 10, 2019, 05:28:47 PM
Almost all the exchanges which have been best at a certain point of time have been compromised in one way at a time.
Hackers target exchanges which are best so that they can hack a bigger amount. So if Binance is hacked now and if people move to Kucoin then the next target for the hackers will be Kucoin.
So then what's the point of choosing Kucoin. As crypto enthusiasts we must know that storing large amount of crypto is a potential risk for us.
Instead of moving from exchange to exchange it's better if we start storing the coins on our wallets and only trade on exchanges when it is absolutely needed.
5257  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Binance case shows that crypto community is stronger than ever on: May 10, 2019, 03:53:56 PM
While there are a good number of people supporting Binance for what happened there are some haters who are criticizing Binance as if it was wholly their mistake.
I agree it was partially their mistake and they have themselves agreed on this by saying that they have learnt a lesson from this.
Scams like this happens all the time in crypto but we must learn to get a lesson from it and move on and Binance has acknowledged this fact.
5258  Economy / Speculation / Re: the bull run is confirmed. on: May 10, 2019, 03:40:22 PM
Hey guys, what are you thinking about this bullrun. whether this increase in bitcoin sacrifices altcoin prices. I see the volume of bitcoin trading going up but on the contrary almost all of the altcoin volumes go down. Does this mean that Bullrun needs sacrifice this time?

is this just the beginning, until everything turns green. I think all possibilities will ultimately benefit Bitcoin. what are you thinking right now?
Well we might say that the bull run is just started but I think it's too early to confirm it. It's better we wait at least 2 more months before we confirm anything.
Also, it's quite obvious to see altcoin price crashing when bitcoin bull run has started. Most people convert their alts to bitcoin resulting in a dump in price of altcoins and pump in price of btc.

I'm thinking what I'm going to do with my savings once bitcoin goes to the moon.  Grin. Seriously though, it's a long way to go, we are not even half of our previous all-time-highs so just be calm and patience.
I would probably reinvest it in a place where I could get stable returns on it, probably a fixed deposit or something. It would definitely not be able to generate returns as much as bitcoin but it will at least be stable and secure.
5259  Economy / Lending / Re: Bitcoin loan on: May 10, 2019, 02:39:26 PM
I tried many times to get a loan from banks but every time for some unknown reason they don't accept my request that's why I posted this topics!!!
Perhaps banks got to know you would not be able to payback the loan which is why you got rejected at the first place.
The future is: You won't be getting any loan from this forum either.
People here never trust newbies since they tend to run away with the money 99% of the times.
