5241  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UFC Fight Night & Main Event: Sportsbet.io Predictions & discussion on: February 20, 2022, 09:49:19 PM
Did anyone catch the 1st round knockout in the main event for Jamahal Hill.
He made Johnny Walker look like a straight board on his feet just before falling over for the win.
Didn't see that happening so fast from Walker's last few fights I thought he had more fight in him to withstand Hill's blows to atleast the 3rd round.
Here is the fight from the official UFC youtube channel:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=08YJ4Qk0eRg

Thanks for the share. Still wince inside everytime I see a lightning-quick KO. Walker tried to lure him in for his right kick but I think he didn't connect well on his first attempt and then seemed to have lost patience after as Hill just kept encroaching, accepting the invite and then pow. All over, but Hill was my pick. Hard for me to ignore 12/10 odds when predicting.

Man, your skills in sportsbetting always amaze me. No wonder you are betting 1 mBTC at once with 4.42 odds. Smiley You really know what you are doing. I understand that luck is always involved, and winning a bet can never be guaranteed, and that's why I always suggest to gamblers to make their own decisions, but if I were to choose a tipster, I would choose you without hesitation.

That's very nice of you to say, thank you. I don't consider myself a tipster at all, though, and I know as soon as I start to believe I'm actually good, I'll start losing a lot of money haha. I've been very lucky that the season I started sportsbetting seriously was 2016, during the rise of Klopp and Liverpool, and at the same time the pinnacle of City (Liverpool winning me a lot, and City losing also winning me a lot). Champions League football also has been a revelation thanks to what I believe is a huge disparity in the odds and actual on-field performance.

I know you're doing pretty well with slots (I do pay attention), so may your luck continue!
5243  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Sportsbet.io ⚽ Spanish La Liga ⚽ Football Pool Discussion Thread on: February 20, 2022, 05:37:31 PM
First some brilliant goals and assists from Traore, today a brace from Auba. Must be good times to be a Barca fan eh slam, and I know it's Valencia but they're capable of tripping up teams.

Should have been a bit more adventurous than 2-0 pick but who'd have guessed 4-1 anyway? Not much interest in remaining La Liga games tonight, nor anything else really, and I can't bear to see how it's turning out for me in this pool haha. GL to those watching.
5244  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Germany League - Bundesliga Prediction Thread on: February 20, 2022, 04:27:58 PM
MY story in Bundesliga today: Backed Bayern to lose (36/1). Celebrated the freekick goal (was watching game at Leeds though). Told myself, okay, I'll hedge on Bayern live when odds go to 2/1. HT ML odds "only" 1.6.

Match restarts, I check live betting. Markets suspended.

Lewie easy tap in. I should have known better.

Oh well =) Can't expect free money from Bayern every game haha. Was fun while it lasted though!
5245  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sportsbet.io's English Premier League Football Pool Discussion Thread on: February 20, 2022, 04:04:14 PM
Great game, great win elsewhere with Soccer Blackjack but ah damn on this pool. I thought I'd finally get some respite with an exact score (which hilarious also put down as his pick) but then Elanga goes and makes it 4-2. Looks like United finally found a way to not crumble after losing a lead. Good for most of us, but I did lose money on a Leeds upset haha.

Great game, was actually expecting a red card at some point but I think Tierney was trying to not let things boil over as he'd already dished out plenty of yellows. NINE in 2nd half!

Rain, wet pitch, wind, I bet Ronaldo never felt as tired as he ever has today.
5246  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🎰 Sportsbet.io 🎰 "Soccer Blackjack" @ 21.00 odds on: February 20, 2022, 03:59:45 PM
21! Blackjack!

(edited as none of my gifs were working haha)

Thank you Manchester United! 9 cards in the second half, a blast of a game and a Blackjack for all of us!!

5247  Economy / Speculation / Re: Prediction: Low was $34K or will be ~$25K on: February 20, 2022, 02:43:24 PM
So, my hopes for a February that did not go down below 40k again didn't materialise. People were talking about 45 and 50 tests, but I'd have been more than happy for a strong and unyielding support at 40k. Only thing is this is the weekend, so the work week should bring more clarity but if we lose more ground, sentiment can shift quickly to pile on the selling pressure.

Going to be a long road, this first quarter, not that it wasn't ever on the cards.

Congratulations on another win! As soon as I saw the result of the match City - Tottenham, I immediately decided to check your thread because I remembered your motto "always bet against City if the odds are above 10"  Cheesy
Today is an amazing tour in the EPL - the result of the matches changes radically in the last minutes, probably the lovers of live betting are satisfied.

Thank you, thank you. If I only make the impact on one person, who learns that it's profitable to bet against City every time it's 10/1 or more, than I will be happy.

It was an amazing tour yesterday indeed. Can't remember the last time I was so happy another team scored when Kane put that injury time goal haha.

In the spirit of this, I have another upset bet today which is... probably idiotic, but who knows, bad things come in 3s for Bayern? And to throw in something different, a Leeds home win over United, superboost makes it so tasty!.

100 units at Sportsbet on Leeds and BVB to WIN @8.83. Other odds: 8.45. Units advantage: 38
100 units at Fairlay on Gruether Furth to WIN vs Bayern @36. Other odds: 28.50. Units advantage: 750

5249  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🥶 Winter Beijin 2022 🥶 Discussion and bet thread 🥶 Winter Game 🥶 on: February 20, 2022, 01:09:39 PM
Winter olympics 2022 comes to an end. Norway won most of the medals and with 16 medals they are at no one followed by Germany with 12 gold. What's astonishing is that China who was at bottom throughout the games finished 3rd with 9 medals ahead of there rivals usa with 8 medals.
Today's main news is Finland got there first ever gold in men's hockey as they beat ROC, final score was 2-1.

I enjoyed the games though there is only one participant from my country. Will catch this thread again in summer olympics.

Ah I arrived late to this. I've got Norway on an outright win on medals counts (should have also gone for them on gold medals count) so I won a nice... 1.11 bet haha. But it was part of a promo where I'd get freespins for every gold so that's where my profit's been coming from.

Summer's definitely going to be more exciting for us as we'll also have more stakes. My country has 2 athletes in Winter but they're just there to represent. No snow in my country Wink
5250  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2022-02-10] CNBC: Binance is taking a $200 million stake in Forbes on: February 20, 2022, 12:47:51 PM
@buwaytress. Your reply has made me think of the clearest, most possible, most practical and most realistic reason why Binance wants to buy Forbes! It might be for tax deductions and moneylaundering hehehe. For what other reasons would CZ buy a stake in an old magazine company? There are many other investments in the cryptospace that would need less investment, more yield.

With all due respect and without meaning to sound like a guy who likes stereotypes (plus I'm Asian so I can say this with some candour), the Chinese always make business decisions, and long-term ones. They're not very experimental, but conservative yet proven business plans focused on soft expansion and monopoly have worked very well for them (so far).

Don't forget that they own Trust Wallet and have their fingers deep in to Brave browser to such an extent that they are hardcoding their own apps and widgets in to the browser and hijacking URLs that users are entering. You can already read about a new coin on a Binance controlled website, check out it's rankings on a Binance controlled website, all via your Binance controlled browser, buy the coin on Binance, pay your trading fees in a Binance controlled token, then transfer the coin to your Binance controlled wallet via a Binance controlled blockchain. The only thing that's missing is discussing it on Binance owned forums over a Binance owned VPN.

It is quite concerning just how centralized the crypto ecosystem is becoming, and how most people either don't realize it or simply don't care about it.

Indeed, I totally forgot about Brave! In the same way people consume everything with the taint of Facebook (meta), many new crypto entrants will unwittingly be using crypto the way Binance intends. You have to admire this strategy, even if begrudgingly so. And you're absolutely right to be concerned, soon BSC will eclipse even Ethereum as the highest volume Dapp network, not to mention how quickly they're bridging everything else (at the "cheap" cost of Binance tokens).

5251  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why a single bet is better than a multi bet. on: February 20, 2022, 10:38:00 AM
No, the system in our language has the same name - the system. There are a couple more expressions that, it seems to me, are used by everyone (in our country). Current bookmaker quotes = line. Martingale (when you bet on a team and it loses, you increase your bet on that team) = chase.
Blind betting (when you don’t look at any information about the game, but just study the bookmakers’ numbers) is good, but I think it can be effective if you study the dynamics of the odds, and not just bet on all events with odds of 1.5.

Interesting, I use chase a lot (probably a lot of people do), but not in the context of martingaling -- which I use in the casino sense of the word, doubling down on a team of roughly 2/1 odds OR increasing a stake on the next bet depending on the odds, to ensure a profit. Chasing for me is strictly betting on ANY game almost immediately after a loss to cover unexpected losses. Luckily I do only the former now and not the latter...

I'm trying to think of local terms but they exist mainly for table games and not sports... as sports betting wasn't available locally in my time, except for simple Asian handicap (in which case you say "I take team A and give you one ball or half ball", and it's always for 2/1).
5252  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: A peculiar Response to the Ontario Superior Court of Justice on: February 19, 2022, 09:39:20 PM
Whoops, I just saw this, had posted something in Legal. This is almost as good as the US putting Bitcoin addresses on a sanctions list.

The last part sounds bizaare. While they (court) appear ignorant how non-custodial wallet, I still think they (nunchuck) should responded in a more polite manner. I won't be surprised if they will be in some sort of trouble in the future because of that. It's pretty cool for marketing though.

True, I think it's somewhat arrogant on their part, but this is definitely marketing. Definitely should have got a lawyer to respond but don't think it's nasty enough to warrant contempt (and maybe they already had legal eyes pass over this).

Just came across this. Not an endorsement of Nunchuk wallet, never heard of it till now, but thought I'd share. Cracked me up a little. Usually it's their neighbours acting dumb but guess any state's capable of this.

At least now they might learn something about Bitcoin wallets (right?)

Found myself watching Real-Alaves even though my brain's pretty mush now after an entire day of watching football almost back-to-back. Wish I could spend my weekends better but hey, I work hard so deserve this right?

But back to the game: yes, @KTChampions they had a few chances, but haven't really threatened. And Jason should have put his team ahead or at least tested Courtois. Benzema a little anonymous.

Odds now on Alaves handicap looks pretty but I already have a ML on them.
5256  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sportsbet.io's English Premier League Football Pool Discussion Thread on: February 19, 2022, 07:28:19 PM
Count me in on the Spurs train haha. I of course had City to win in the pool, since I used my head there. But I had 2 bets on Spurs -- 1 much earlier before their shit form, and one for over 12/1 so I'm celebrating.

6 points gap, 1 game in hand. It all started so badly too with the own goal, but tonight's points dropped was courtesy more of Son than of Kane, I'd say. Kane's just getting back to his crazy standards from a really poor patch of form, so it looks like he's on fire tonight. He ought to have had a hattrick though!

Man, the penalty almost made me weep haha.

We still need to do our job from now till April, though, that goal difference is still there! But game on REDS!

5257  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sportsbet.io Betting discussion thread rev on: February 19, 2022, 06:50:19 PM
So, all today's specials look like I won't hit any (Championship one voided by a postponed game) but as long as City loses, I go to sleep happy. Cause yes, rdbase, I got a nice Spurs bet. They got pegged back but Son super show has put them back in front. Can they hold for another half hour though haha.

How're you guys doing?

I was the exact same way.
I never deposited to this wallet but only used it when free bets were offered. So maybe spent close to $150 of tether so far in all of the bets placed in this option of currency.
But I would need to send it an exchange if I won and have available to cash out. Haven't seen a place that takes USDT for goods yet.

I've won the 4-3-free bets plenty of times but I believe only twice or thrice (?) since they started distributing the prizes in USDT, so not yet able to count my riches in Tether.

Not difficult for me to send to an exchange and most LBC merchs also accept it now, but you're right I can't name a single place that lets me buy something with USDT.

I see more and more demand now at casinos for stablecoin, think ex-gf's sponsor recently added BUSD?
5258  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽UEFA Europa League Discussion Thread on: February 19, 2022, 05:38:51 PM
So, did anyone watch the Sheriff match? That was another upset, so these guys are by now getting used to being the giant killers (hey Braga is no one to scoff at right?). Did they actually play well?

Asking because the next leg they're 11/1 to win again... surely something must be up? Dare we back them again or will they play for the draw? Doesn't sound like something they'd try if I judge them on UCL performance.

Jimmy is just getting back to normal after Bayern's shock loss last weekend... Grin

This Saturday I will bet Fulham, Werder Bremen and Real Madrid.....and I will be using one of the Sportsbet.io price boosts of course!

Tough about Fulham, that would have been my pick too. I got screwed by Wolfsburg, but I'm very happy so far.

Steve, you guys enjoying life at office? Big win for Arsenal (they only ruined my perfect score by letting in a last-min goal after absolutely dominating, even Liverpool couldn't do that. Big win for Southampton (poor Everton, but makes me smiles). Big win for Liverpool, Diaz broke his duck, another Alisson-Salah classic, Mane on the scoresheet, my day is great.
