5261  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Preferred Bitcoin logo[POLL] on: April 10, 2014, 10:22:34 PM
The old one is fine for promotion and marketing Bitcoin.

The new one is fine for unicode, writing, and hopefully incorporating into our keyboards soon.

Why should bitcoin change. Unicode should add a new symbol.

No one is asking to change the logo, just the symbol because the current one with the vertical strike resembles the Thai Baht.
5262  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: [Question/Opinon] Too good to be true?? 38Gh/s cube for $60US on: April 10, 2014, 09:38:19 PM
Even at $60 USD, it's not worth it.

Over 300W and it'll never ROI unless you have free electricity.
5263  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: what happends the 15th in china? on: April 10, 2014, 08:29:06 PM
I have heard about the 15th as a date for what?

$100 Bitcoins.   Grin

At this point, I wouldn't be surprised.  Time to save some pennies to start buying up some cheap coins before the inevitable spike back up.
5264  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: PBmining - legit? on: April 10, 2014, 08:10:43 PM
Looking to buy some ghz here.

Remember it's a 5 year contract, and you can't sell it like Cex.io.

Also, it's GH/s for Gigahash not GHz for Gigahertz.   Cool
5265  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Minion ASIC - free samples and up to US$20000 discount on: April 10, 2014, 07:09:32 PM
Jan 6 2014 was three months ago.

How do you morons still even exist?
The entire world doesn't use the US calendar system btw (even though it is better).

So does that mean manufacture by June 1st, 2014?

That's 51 days...guess it's possible.
5266  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Going to the conference in Amsterdam by spending ONLY bitcoins? Is it doable? on: April 10, 2014, 06:50:36 PM
Would like a documentary on this, that'd be fun.   Cool

Video coverage if the Bitcoin transactions, please.
5267  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: How many btc/day on: April 10, 2014, 06:46:55 PM
Hi i need to know how to calculate how many btc/day a 100ghz miner on a strong pool can get. Any ideas? Thanks

Antminer S1 (200 GH/s) will get you 0.013 BTC/day on BTCGuild or Eligius depending on luck, so half of that.

5269  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: AntMiner S2 1TH/s Miner (1w/GH/s) on: April 10, 2014, 05:12:28 PM
30 dollars is so little

No ROI for any miner at all at the moment, SHA-256 or Scrypt, Antminer S1/S2 or Gridseeds.

Only hope is a resolution to this China situation.

5272  Economy / Speculation / Re: China Closing. China Buying?! on: April 10, 2014, 03:56:10 PM
God, I hate China(speculators)!   Angry

Gov't tries to halt/ban it, and their traders feed into the FUD by mass selling to buy cheap again.

Any1 wants to buy a preorder of 20 prospero x-1 batch #1 ? Ordered @ BA site.

Will sell for same price as i bought, 290$ a piece + $ delivery + bank transfer costs.

PM me.
You bought twenty? Why didn't you just by an X-3?

Bought togather with friend Smiley

Well if your willing to reduce your price I may be interested.  I can currently buy an ant for less than $350 dollars, which will run twice as fast and we know that they are a real product.  No offense, but there is no real indication that these are even real yet.  I doubt we will be able to agree upon a price though, as you would have to come significantly down.

BTW-we should be receiving an update any time now which should tell us whether they will ship at the beginning of May.
Which miner is that? Twice as fast and less than what i paid for my x1? Ill just get a refund and put it on that.

Antminers, where have you been?   Tongue

Last year $290 a piece for 100 GH/s was a bargain, maybe even February.  April and onwards....not so much.
5276  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Best method of selling your hardware? on: April 10, 2014, 01:51:14 PM
Never used this site so can't speak to it's validity, but if you want to deal exclusively in Cryptocurrency:

5277  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: EMPBitcoin 2TH/s Miner - Escrow Only [No Preorder] on: April 10, 2014, 02:47:36 AM
Confirmed SCAM?? I think so
.... no? They've said:

1) No preorders. None.
2) Escrow.com transactions ONLY, the most respected escrow agent in the world.
3) They'll confirm hardware when its ready.

How is that a confirmed scam?

We have sold over 525 units via escrow service 4/9/2014. Some of the clients are from bitcointalk and will review/feedback our machine soon.
Currently we are closing all buying options until we receive more stock and open our LA office to public.

Cheers

Don't worry about others. Its all scam to them. Escrow service with guarantee product and quality service is what people looking for. They jump into conclusion without investing. If it was direct sale/preorder then i would say scam too but 98% of the bitcointalk users are computer geeks/students that are broke. They want to make money from 0 investment.
Anyways, i will update once we have new stock again.

Wow, that's the way to get in good would your prospective buyers.  Insult your audience a little bit more, why don't you?   Tongue

I honestly don't think 98% of Bitcointalk users are computer geeks/students that are broke.  Alot of us have day jobs, have familes, have mortgages and rent to pay.

Just talking for myself, before I buy anything of significant value I research the shit out of it.  Read up on everything, look for reviews, see proof a product or service is legit before I dive in.

Not saying you're a scam, but provide some videos or internal pics for chrissakes.  Gain some trust on this forum first before you start pissing on the crowd.
5278  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: AntMiner S1 (new model) no status on: April 09, 2014, 09:15:07 PM
Finally got it working, the gateway was wrong.

I made, what I hope isn't a hopeless case. I accidentally changed the IPv4 address of one of my miners into the broadcast range when I changed the wrong field. One miner is now on 192.168.1.255.

Can this be fixed? Is there a way to access the miner directly from an ethernet connection to a computer and ssh into the mac address of the machine and launch the config page?

You can try
Code:
ssh root@192.168.1.225

But it might be easier to just hit the factory reset button on the controller and start fresh...

Try windpath's suggestion, worst case start from scratch with a factory reset:

Miners DUMPING their ASICs
I would like to see photos of miners dumping/throwing their ASICs out a window.
Do you have any?

I'm going to start scouring the landfills for old KNC Saturns and Jupiters!   Tongue
