Precisely. Now back on the bull-wagon Cheesy
5262  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer - MtGoxUSD wall movement tracker - Hardcore on: April 18, 2013, 06:52:34 PM
And I'm out. Bitcoins on the way to my wallet.
5263  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer - MtGoxUSD wall movement tracker - Hardcore on: April 18, 2013, 05:52:14 PM
I just saw gox flicker down to 94.something yet my 95.2 buy still stands. Something screwy going on. I'll be glad when I'm out.

you have a bid at 95.2, but you want out??
I think you're doing it wrong....

It's a planned exit, not a rout.

Then again, with how much I'm being interrupted today...
5264  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer - MtGoxUSD wall movement tracker - Hardcore on: April 18, 2013, 05:38:54 PM
Did everyone fall asleep?

Just a little more down and I'll be back on the bull...
5267  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer - MtGoxUSD wall movement tracker - Hardcore on: April 18, 2013, 04:07:47 PM
Was trying to buy before the rise. My order never made it.
5268  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer - MtGoxUSD wall movement tracker - Hardcore on: April 18, 2013, 03:45:38 PM
So.....I'm nervous to say it lest I be the one who pops the bubble: Is the crash over? Back to growth?

lol from what it looks like to me, there was no crash. there was merely a crazy month-long hyper bubble that popped and barely made a dent in the overall growth trend.

MtGox unusable once more. Even trying to cash out to BTC is a chore with that craphole.
5269  Economy / Speculation / Re: in early stages of bitcoin era, the war on exchanges has started doing victims on: April 18, 2013, 03:01:52 PM
Exchanges will come and go, that's just part of the evolution of bitcoin. As exchanges close, others will open. We've seen several stories recently of venture capitalists and entrepreneurs starting new bitcoin exchanges and there's even the guy who is creating bitcoin ATM's.

And that's fine except they're taking large quantities of peoples funds with them. If Bitcoin-24 had said "We're being shut down, please check your accounts, you should find a full refund of your deposited balances" it would not be great but it would be OK. People (fortunately, not me) have big money tied up with someone who has not seen fit to issue more than a couple of paragraphs in explanation.

Now go unload an extended magazine of bullets into the air...

But... then I won't have it anymore....

No point having it if you don't use it.

Hopefully now we'll see the shelves start filling up again though. I've noticed there's a lot of people selling their 22s. Hopefully the used market will loosen up again too. There's a revolver I've been after but nobody's selling.
5271  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer - MtGoxUSD wall movement tracker - Hardcore on: April 18, 2013, 01:55:26 PM
Sure, big walls can be pulled, but how much does it matter? The $1M wall at $70 now has $4.5M (and rising) of support in front of it. It's not like the current price is being held up by one person.

True

A lot of that is ephemeral too though. People are changing their orders all the time. Once things start moving, you can't count on much. The only way to judge support really is to watch how the price moves.
5272  Other / Off-topic / Re: Netflix in HTML5 using W3C approved Encrypted Media Extensions for DRM on: April 17, 2013, 11:25:25 PM
Remember folks, DRM does not work as intended! It is easily bypassed by software. What computer can decode and display, it can capture and modify. Wait for open-source plugins for firefox that will bypass the DRM or manage the keys for infinite use.

I don't know why people prefer streaming vs torrenting and then watching in better quality. The laziness and trust in centralized service is gaining momentum in two digit IQ computer users.

I hate streaming. Any fluctuation in my internet and it's that "buffering" crap.

It's not a crime to use another pool while you wait for a fix. HHTT allows you to mine without having to register an account or I'm currently quite liking p2pool.

Thanks, using HHTT now.  How soon do you think i'll get a payout if I'm mining at 1200 Mhash/s?

He pays out every three days for that sort of amount.
5274  Other / Off-topic / Re: Netflix in HTML5 using W3C approved Encrypted Media Extensions for DRM on: April 17, 2013, 08:43:19 PM
Not a fan of DRM but I don't see it can be stopped.

The corollary to some people want everything to be free is that some companies want everything to be expensive and for anyone and everyone who is exposed to their content in any way to have to pay full price.

Pressure cooker with a pistol grip

5277  Other / Off-topic / Re: What types of pressure cookers should be banned? on: April 17, 2013, 07:58:56 PM
Did you know you can buy fully-automatic pressure cookers without even a background check? Just walk into the store and pull one right off the shelf. Or order online and get one delivered to your door. What's to stop a child from getting a credit card from their parents wallet and just ordering one up?

I'd imagine automated gas stations will certainly be in place.

I like wikipedia but I wouldn't necessarily trust it for definitions.

Looks like definition 2 matches pretty well. (the wiki disambiguation page for "drone" also includes references to the bee)

I concur. Though "loosely" indicates, to me, that it's not strictly being used correctly. But language drifts and it's pointless to rail against it.
