5281  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why women are the minority in crypto land? on: July 09, 2021, 10:50:29 PM
Not only in crypto, but if you look financial universe in general you will see there are very few women compared to the number of men involved on this kind of activity. I believe it's just part of women nature to not have interest for these things. Usually women prefer to engage in another kinds of activity like cookery, decoration, aesthetic...
Of course there are exceptions and there is nothing wrong with them, but that is inevitably the main rule that many people avoid saying in public nowadays fearing retaliations from the modern demagogic society.
5282  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: have you ever play or won from a crypto exchange lottery? on: July 09, 2021, 07:12:00 PM
I play only at Freebitco.in's lottery. For me it's a good one as it's not necessary to spend anything to participate. I just roll the faucet button every hour and receive free lottery tickets, besides tickets from referrals progression on the site and from wheel of fortune spins.
Of course it's really hard to win because there are thousands or maybe millions of users actively trying to win as well, but like many people on this forum have already noticed, winners don't necessarily need to hold too many tickets to be the chosen ones. It's possible to win even with few dozens of tickets, so I keep hoping I will hit a nice prize on that lottery someday.
5283  Economy / Economics / Re: Cryptocurrency is the biggest investment opportunity in the future on: July 09, 2021, 06:17:40 PM
Cryptocurrency is not only in the biggest investment opportunity in the future because it is alreay a chance that should never be missed at the present and even from the past. Ever since crypto was introduced to the world and as it exhibits great potential of being successful in the future, the world should have already known that it will play an important role on many individuals financial situation. If you've known crypto for long and didn't miss the opportunity, consider yourself fortunate since it will show more advantages for you as time passes by and as we reach a world where crypto is already ruling the world.
That is what I was going to say. Crpto investment is already an opportunity in the present time and shouldn't be wasted, so the fruits can be harvested in the future. There isn't opportunity in the future if the seeds aren't planted in the present, that is why it's important to start investing time and money in crypto universe since now for those who haven't yet.
Early investors should really be in a nice position at this moment indeed, not having too much to worry because they have already prepared the soil and grown their crops on the right time. Now they can just enjoy the seasonal harvests (passive income investments) and taste the sweet fruits of their trees.
5284  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Steve Wozniak Calls Bitcoin a "Miracle," Says It's Better Than Gold on: July 09, 2021, 04:53:23 PM
Even if the 70-year-old tech entrepreneur does not personally invest in this leading cryptocurrency, Bitcoin, he is convinced that the cryptocurrency will have a special place in the future.
Wozniak has been a staunch supporter of Bitcoin for years. In June 2018, he said he would like the currency to become a global single currency.
A little bit contradictory, no? If he doesn't invest in bitcoin it means he isn't a bitcoin adopter, at same time he call it a miracle and would like to see bitcoin as global single currency. Huh
If it were actually true, he would want to be part of bitcoin community, otherwise it just looks like he wants some sympathy from bitcoin enthusiasts to his own crypto project that has nothing to do with bitcoin. After Elon Musk I think a lot of people learned to not listen to beautiful words and they were 100% legit.
5285  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: signs of gambling addiction on: July 09, 2021, 04:10:04 PM
Is seeking a new strategy or thinking of betting while you are sleeping signs of addiction? If not, what are little signs that unfold you are becoming a gambling addict?
I think these aren't always signs of gambling addiction. Maybe the gambler just wants to improve his gameplay and keep thinking about how he can do this for real. Naturally the best moment of the day to think is at night, before sleeping, because finally after a busy day you don't have to pay attention to anything else besides your own thoughts.
The issue is when the person only thinks about gambling all day long, what means these thoughts are disturbing the daily routine and activities. Loss of concentration is a good sign the person is going through a dangerous path.
5286  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [CONMEBOL] Copa America 2021 Discussion Thread on: July 09, 2021, 02:26:57 PM
colombia will play against peru for third place of copa America , It's a game no one wants to play, but offers the losing semi-finalists a chance to redeem some pride by winning the bronze medal.colombia has scored less than 1.5 goals (in reg.time) in each of their last 6 Copa America games.peru has scored less than 2.5 goals (in reg.time) in 6 of the last 7 Copa America games. both team can score
personally i think the colombia and peru have equal chance gor win this match because is like amical

Both teams have the ability to score. But I think Colombia will win this match. Because Colombia has won the last 3 matches against Peru. I think we can see Colombia's victory in today's match as well. Moreover, the Peruvian team is not in a very good position now. My guess is that Colombo will win the match 2-1.
I also bet Colombia is going to win this one. They played competitively against Argentina and even against Brazil, although they have lost. On the other hand Peru doesn't show the same consistency on the field taking in consideration the games played by them on this cup and their team's history. Since it's going to be a game for the third position without any interesting rewards I believe players won't play too defensively, so the public can watch an interesting audacious game from both sides.
5287  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What does it take for a game to "hook" people on: July 09, 2021, 02:20:39 AM
In case of gambling games what hook me is the low house edge, because it makes winnings happen more often, what gives an impression of progression similar to good video games where you evolve your character along the game's story. If winnings happen often, automatically the game will become more sympathetic and attractive in different ways, doesn't matter how elaborated are the graphics and mechanisms.
On the other hand, the gambling game can be the prettiest of the industry, but if the gambler only loses playing it, he won't be hooked by the game in anyways.
5288  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Fighting Game Betting on: July 08, 2021, 11:52:52 PM
These are classic games, but they aren't so popular nowadays at the point of being included in common gambling platforms. If you search terms like the game you want and betting word on the same sentence you will see many sites offering such bets, however they are fiat gambling platforms and since you are at bitcointalk forum I suppose you are looking for crypto gambling platforms, right?
Maybe there are closed groups and communities of fans on discord or youtube which promote betting on these fighting games you mentioned.
5289  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: You got a pifzer ? Then you can be eligible for lottery in Poland. on: July 08, 2021, 04:54:45 PM
Interesting that people don't get the vaccine because they believe it will present side effects on their bodies, but if the government offers them a tiny chance to win a car they suddenly change their minds and get vaccinated even if it's going to present those same side effects. If I were fully convinced vaccines were harmful I wouldn't take it even if I was the only competitor of the lottery, because health comes first.

If people are going to engage themselves on this campaign that is not because they didn't want to vaccinate before, that was just they were too lazy to do it for free...
5290  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [CONMEBOL] Copa America 2021 Discussion Thread on: July 08, 2021, 03:54:18 PM
according to the prediction before, we aren't surprised when Brazil meets Argentina. but for Argentina, it doesn't seem to be going well because they finish it with the penalty. this means the team needs consolidation of defense not only the attacking front. Messi still in Argentina's spirit at the moment, I don't know what will happen if Messi didn't in the squad.

Messi will play in the final. Right ? Or is there any doubt about it. Argentina Colombia match went down to the penalties does not mean that Argentina is a weak team. They win the match and are strong enough to win the final against brazil.
I think Argentina wouldn't be crazy to replace Messi on the final game. If that happened you could already bet all your money in Brazil for the next game, although the odds wouldn't look interesting anyway... Even if Messi were injured they would make him play, I suppose. Without Messi the team can't go too far and the same can be said about Brazil and Neymar.
For me this final game is going to be really unpredictable, because both teams are at same level of skills and display two of the best soccer players of the world. Beyond skills, luck and psychological of the players may play a big role on this final.
5291  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will people who ban Bitcoin in some countries give up Bitcoin? on: July 08, 2021, 03:44:57 PM
The countries that will ban and give up bitcoin will usually depend on that country bitcoin will give up if it is not valid because they will not be able to transact. In addition the central bank has warned that customers transacting through online networks may face various risks including the potential financial and legal risks of virtual currency. Asked whether the bank would take any action on bitcoin in the future he said the bank has no plans yet probably a factor as to why they're doing so poorly.
In countries where bitcoin is banned, person to person transactions become a popular alternative, because it involves only two parties without any need for an exchange or middleman, decreasing the risks of being spotted by the government, although it's also a very risky deal depending with who the person is trading, since the other person can be a scammer or a bitcoin trader who do it often with many different people, increasing the chances of being already tracked by authorities.

Even though it's possible to deal with bitcoins in a country which is hostile to crypto currency, it's a very nasty situation, because people need to do it in secret and always worrying about being caught. There isn't naturality or satisfaction on it. I really feel sorry for people who live in such countries and have to pass through this situation to be able to deal with bitcoin.
5292  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How to distribute 21 million Bitcoins for a population of 7.8 billion? on: July 08, 2021, 02:29:08 AM
I think there is no right or wrong view, but I believe that there will be other digital currencies to assist Bitcoin. Where will Bitcoin go?

Why would we need other currencies to assist Bitcoin? There's enough units to cover all our needs, Lightning Network allows splitting satoshis even further, and if needed, a hard fork could be introduced to allot further subdivisions of satoshis on chain.
Wouldn't this infinite splitting possibility become similar to printing money like we see in fiat system? To create new decimal houses in bitcoin looks dangerous in my opinion, because it may devaluate the currency since its supply won't be limited or rare anymore. I don't know if it would work on practice. It really looks a new way to print money, but instead of growing it to the left (ascending order), it will grow to the right (descending order), although the result in the end might be the same...
5293  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Number of altcoins keep increasing! on: July 08, 2021, 12:32:44 AM
I see alot of altcoins and tokens been introduced into the market every day and I keep wondering if that is how this industry will keep growing.  The number of altcoins does not translate to increase in the over all market capitalization of the cryptocurrencies market and it that means that some of the coins we currently have in the market is not needed!

Even the number of altcoins increased in this type of business industry, it won't affect the market.
If that happens that is because there are a lot of altcoins too that are dying or already dead here in crypto space.
So for me, if this thing happened we really need to be careful in choosing coins here.
I think the number of altcoins affect the market somehow negatively. Most of these coins are useless and were created only for pump and dump purposes. It means investors lose money by investing on these altcoins that are largely promoted on social medias to newbies. Situations like this give a bad impression to investors who will avoid crypto market futurely, especially those people who were recently reffered to crypto universe and don't understand it with expertise.

Anyway, there is nothing to do about it, because we are in a decentralized market and each person can create their own altcoin if they wish without any obstacles.
5294  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which coin is more green? on: July 07, 2021, 05:26:38 PM
Does to be green guarantee any legitimacy to a currency? There can be many cryptos saying to be eco friendly and fitting all the requirements listed by the eco terrorists, but after all they are nothing compared to bitcoin anyway, because what really matters in crypto currency is the reputation bitcoin built along the years and it's not Elon Musk or any other institutional investor who is going to change this basic natural law of investment's universe.
It was already said sources of energy are changing within time, as they have always been if we compare the currently times to the industrial revolutions' times, for an example. Energy sources nowadays are much cleaner than on those days and in some centuries it's also going to be much cleaner than it is right now. We just need to behave normally like people did in the past, and not like the eco terrorists widely promoted by the mainstream tentacles.
5295  Economy / Economics / Re: FOLLOW THIS RULES TO BECOME RICH on: July 07, 2021, 04:26:52 PM
You look indeed a wise individual, congratulations for making this list with so many legit points. Personally the most interesting I found was this one:

Rule 10
Do not enter in conflict with governments, countries you will LOSE.
This is actually true, but we don't hear it too often. I believe there is no way to win a conflict against these whales because they are protected by the judiciary power, which also rules the country and protect the government, since they are benefited by politics. As it is well known, rope always breaks at its weakest point and doesn't matter if the weakest side is right or wrong. In the end the consequences aren't bad only financially, but also morally, because those who dare to challenge governments or countries have their reputations ruined.
5296  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can we live without btc? on: July 07, 2021, 03:25:30 PM
Yes, it's possible to live without bitcoin, especially for few moments like a weekend, vacation or holiday, but if we think about all the years of our lives without btc it will be really painful to imagine we couldn't have access to it, because bitcoin already fulfils an important part of our daily routine, that are the personal finances, indispensable to live in a capitalist world, which allows us to have access to more confort and life quality.
I believe to live without such confort and welfare couldn't even be considered to live, but just to survive and in very precarious situations, similar to a lifetime camping as you said, where food, water are scarce and another resources inexistent.

Well as I just explained yesterday, it's so easy for me to think of life without bitcoin, I just need to rewind to 4 or 5 years ago. Same thing as today, except now I do have a small side income from Bitcoin and it is slowly growing to a small savings that I would never have been able to collect in the same 20 years without it.

That's good enough for me of course I am not complaining but... let's be honest and say Bitcoin hasn't changed the lives of the majority of people in a truly useful way.
Probably the majority of people didn't have their lives changed, but at least bitcoin gave this opportunity to everyone, although only few were able to make good use of it, that was by simply holding for several years.

With the term life change I don't mean only people who became millionaire, but everyone else who somehow had their lives improved due to the help bitcoin provided them and still provides.
5297  Economy / Economics / Re: The slave does not dream of freedom, but of being the slave-master on: July 05, 2021, 10:27:11 PM
It's similar to those who promised to destroy the system, but ended part of it.

That is what always happens to most humans, because they are easily corrupted by power and all the ephemeral benefits it proportionates. At first moment, when they are slaves they say it's not going to happen to them, because they have never been in a better position, however once they reach to a better status everything changes, because they finally taste the sweet honey for the first time and never want to stop anymore. It's most easily spotted on the political world. You see how people start their careers on this field and after some years they completely change their personalities and values without any shame.

But I believe there are a minor part of the population who aren't like this because they are loyal to the principles in their heart and have a very strong will. Unfortunatelly these people are put away from the mainstream societies and groups.
5298  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Should Upland to Tokenize a City in Brazil? on: July 05, 2021, 07:48:31 PM
I never understood what is the purpose of this game. You buy properties that won't be yours and that you can do nothing with them, holding just a virtual copy of a piece of google maps.
Why not take this money and invest in real estates or in a physical property which you can generate some income from? Huh
From my understanding, you get the copy/ownership of the land as it's a game. You'll never get the copy of the actual property but it's just going to be an in game purchase and ownership for their players. It's an NFT so the same as the game that I've seen like MANA and other NFT and related games.
Sadly there isn't any gameplay. You just buy properties and can do nothing with them. Despite it, Upland does a lot of advertisement on Brave browser and maybe people are creating a hype around this game because everything about blockchain games nowadays is a trend, since you can earn real money from it. But besides the hype I don't see too much potential from this game like I see from some others which involve real gameplay.
5299  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What is Bitcoin? Will Bitcoin be traded in all countries in 2025? on: July 05, 2021, 07:39:32 PM
Big companies can transact with Bitcoin very easily and securely. It will also increase their time and will be safe.
For this reason, the transactions of Bitcoin will increase a lot by 2025.
So far big companies were a great deception for bitcoin enthusiasts. Most of them enter the market with shady goals in mind, trying to manipulate and deceive investors' minds in order to play with market's prices at their own favour. What I've seen so far is that big companies contributed to decrease bitcoin transactions/adoption and for this reason I'm really doubtful they are going to contribute positively by 2025.
It's really hard to count on others to move bitcoin forward, especially big companies or investors who want to rule the wolrld.

I can leave with out football, but I find it exciting and I watch it, I can live without so many things I like now and so many things that makes complex Life, simple, in fact we but only need nature to survive, amongst the basic of them are water, food and oxygen.
So even if I will still be late alive, without Bitcoin, I find it of inestimable need to me, changing times has caught up with the universe in present, and Bitcoin is what has come with it, I think it's not quarter way into it's changes of things we found difficult before it came, am excited any time I think about it.

I can live life without a lot of things. I know because it happens to me about 1 or 2 times a year when I go camping out in the village and then there's nothing but the nature and not even much food or water except what we can find. No work, no internet, no football, no girlfriend/boyfriend:)

I wish we could say we cannot live without BTC but we all know that's not true at all. My life would have a huge hole in it though.
