5281  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The altcoin market has become scammer's playground on: November 27, 2021, 10:33:41 PM
lots of investors there are opening themselves up to this new and growing risk of fraud and fscam. there are so many people who want to invest here for the future, you have to be aware of the many incidents like this, never to invest in altcoins at the expense of saving for emergencies or paying off high-interest debt. take care of your money

Oh well, they know the risk in investing here, not saying that they are the one to blame, but it looks like they are not investigating enough on which altcoins they are going to invest. They are greedy and think that they can be rich here in short amount of time. So if you are a young investors, the first thing that you really need to learn is to be very very careful of where and what projects you are going to pour your money with. It's you hard earn money so make the best out of it.
5282  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin is recovering on: November 27, 2021, 04:03:00 PM
In my opinion, it looks like Bitcoin is still in a sharp correction phase where the downward trend in price continues. Moreover, if seen at a glance from the movement of the price chart in the last few days the price of bitcoin has not shown a significant increase or breakout point to get to the new ATH.
How did you identify that it is still in a sharp correction phase, the market today looks like it is stabilizing and there is not much selling pressure as far as i see in the market, but anything is possible as i am not capable of prediction what might happen in the next few days and so does anyone, but the current market does not looks there is not much selling pressure for the market to go down further as the buy walls are filling up quickly for now.

We are probably going to trade sideways for now because of the covid-19 new strain news (although I firmly believed it doesn't have that significant effect to crypto sphere as compare to lets says Nasdaq or S&P).

So I'm expecting a little movement on the price till this weekends but hopefully when Monday comes we might see some semblance of a rally again to $60k. I think the selling pressure is done was well as the price is closing to it's old support of $55k.
5283  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: #buythedip is trending all around on: November 27, 2021, 03:37:18 PM
Well the thing is, are people gonna buy the actual dip and that is the big question. Of course, El Salvador is always waiting for the dip and then buy at least 100 BTC for their reserves. But how about retail investors? it seems that they are still undecided and maybe now ride the hype on the #buythedip. As far as the latest covid strain? I don't think it has an effect on the market.
5284  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Lopez vs Kambosos - November 27 on: November 27, 2021, 03:09:20 PM
If I may add the odds for Lopez

Lopez by KO - 1.49
Lopez by decision - 3.10

So the KO odds is very small so we need to put big money here to somewhat feel some winnings.

I'm also looking at Winner & round range, perhaps you might find the odds here attractive for Lopez.
5285  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: November 27, 2021, 02:32:24 PM
Missed that game, Lakers vs Sacramento, and I thought that Lakers are going to win, they lose it one big in triple overtime? Made me think that it's time to really make a chance in the line-up? We've been questioning the chemistry, but what can we do if the players are not gelling on each other and a supposedly winning game turns out to be their biggest lost this season?
5286  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Casimero vs Butler ordered by WBO on: November 26, 2021, 11:19:35 PM
Well, Casimero always want to get into a clash and he's sure an in fighter. I'm trying to familiarize myself with Butler since I don't follow him and just known him when this order of WBO came.
But don't be too sure about the match, Butler has a good professional record and fans shouldn't ignore it. Yeah, I'm a Casimero fan but likes the record of Butler.

Both Casimero and Butler had a common opponent which is Tete. Tete KOed Butler, Casimero KOed Tete but that equation doesn't give Casimero the automatic win as this is boxing, styles make a fight, and sometimes lucky punch can turn a fight in favor of the underdog.

And triangle theory doesn't work in boxing, it is still the style the makes the fight and I do believed that triangle theory is not applicable to boxing or it is just a myth.

Butler and Casimero were having weight problems before a fight but the good thing about the latter is he is already 95 percent ready for this battle according to the training video he released on social media and he looks trim.

This is the only thing that I'm concern about Casimero though, his weight problem. He looks overweight at some time and having a hard time making weight because his body is growing as we age. Hopefully though this won't be a problem here and it's good to hear that he is 95% ready already and willing to go.
5287  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: 2017 Vs 2021 on: November 26, 2021, 10:49:07 PM
For all those preparing for the last bull run cycle what makes you think that things will work out exactly as that of 2017? Many are expecting bear market in 1st quarter of 2022 if there is anything that have surprised me since stock was a thing in my life it's cryptocurrency, things might work out differently this time

Don't try to time the market. Simply not going to work.

Fact of the matter is that we are probably going to see an adjustment in the alt market soon, but no one knows exactly when. But bitcoin dominance is very low and the market cap of alts have absolutely exploded over the past year, so we are certainly due for a correction.

The difference now is that there is a whole lot more institutional adoption especially on chains like ETH, so make sure that you hold tight to your coins and don't weak-hands it.

True, bitcoin's narrative  in this bull run is that there are more institutional money as compare to 2017 wherein there are few and most are retail investors who are just first time in the market. So there's a lot of inexperienced in 2017 that's why the price just suddenly goes down in 2018 because majority have listen to FUD and panic sell. Now we have a lot of strong and diamond hands not willing to sell and on the flip side are going to buy during any dip.
5288  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: November 26, 2021, 10:24:28 PM
Phoenix Suns are gonna play the Knicks on the road.

Suns currently have the longest win streak in the NBA now with 14. What do you think, will they be able to continue the winning streak or the Knicks will stop that today? Share your thoughts as the Suns are in serious business now, they are playing with high confidence and everyone is doing their job to contribute.

I think the Suns can win against the Knicks even if this is going to be played in MSG.

As you have said, the Suns is riding on a longest winning steak so they want to continue with that. Although Knicks is a very good team, they've also very inconsistent lately, the only question is that if Suns are going to cover the spread, last game against the Cavs in their homecourt, it  was just a 5 point lead by the Sun. So I would say a good bet is like -3.5 to -4.5 for the Suns.
5289  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Lopez vs Kambosos - November 27 on: November 26, 2021, 10:02:59 PM
Here is the weigh-in:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IN1GMPCEHVc

Again, both of them made the limit so there's no problem.

And again, another heated argument, but for me this is done to hype the fight because this is almost a year in the making. I have Lopez here by knock out.  Grin. Best of luck to those who are going to bet and take a risk.
5290  Economy / Speculation / Re: will we witness year end bullrun or bull trap? on: November 26, 2021, 07:09:13 PM
Maybe this dropping of crypto price is just a short correction or a short effect of the bad news that btc has incountered this is not the only time that the price of crypto fall and I know that everyone know about the high volatility of the crypto price so there is no surprise about it only newbie can now be wory of this falling of btc price.

Well there is this China FUD lately, but old and recycle news, and then we have the India ban that might put a damp on the market. Or just investors cashing out and moving out from the bitcoin market to go to other investment vehicle.

And the thing is that this is not the first time we've seen this correction. And it's that we have a big expectations this November, and maybe thinking it will be like October wherein we experience a x2 growth. But November thinks otherwise, but we are just a couple of days from December so lets remain positive that it will be a good month and possible to reach $70k++ before the end of 2021.
5291  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Ancajas vs Ioka Dec 31 on: November 25, 2021, 09:29:10 PM
Ancajas, one of Philippines longest reigning champion, will go for his 10th title defense of his IBF. So this will big as we will have to witnessed another Filipino boxer before the end of the year with Ancajas going to Japan and fight Ioka.

After so many years months, we finally can see Jerwin Ancajas fight again in the ring. It's just frustrating to note that sean Gibbons seems to be having a hard time securing a fight for Pretty Boy Ancajas. Talent-wise, he is the next big thing in the Philippines in boxing I think but the inactivity is somewhat pulling the champ down but the good thing with him is that he doesn't say anything about his situation in social media, unlike Casimero.

Him and Donnie Nietes are the most underrated Filipino champion we have right now. It's either Sean Gibbons is not doing his job as MP promotions or Filipinos are being low-ball in the boxing industries. I do hope that his inactivity and ring rush will not affect him that much because he is facing a very dangerous opponent here. This fight has been in talks since October if I'm not mistaken so pretty much Ancajas though is ready and has been mentally preparing for this fight for a long time.
5292  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: government's traditional laws can't handle Gambling+cryptos on: November 25, 2021, 04:18:28 PM
The regulatory framework for cryptos is a nightmare for many governments and the main reason for that is that cryptos were in the first place conceived to break the government monopoly and control over money. The fact that they find difficult to control crypto sites and crypto movements in general is just a confirmation of the success of the original vision and strategy. Gambling is just and example.

Also, legislation has always been quite slow on regards to newer technologies.

I somehow understand regarding implementing laws to prohibit cryptocurrencies, in general.

Due to its immense potential to a country, it would be relatively difficult to find that balance where you regulate gambling + cryptocurrencies and its effects on the society. Like what you also mentioned, cryptocurrencies were created primarily against any control from the government. The fact that only a handful of legislations were implemented speak about the status of cryptocurrencies in general!

The thing with crypto is that it is fairly young so obviously, it will be difficult for governments to really implement a regulatory framework around it. And as much as they try, it will be hard as we all know that there are no central authorities and everyone is free to used a gambling platform as long as you are 18 years old and above (although there are cases that as young as 10 can play because it's hard to control and it's really up to the parents and guardians to look after their kids). For me there should be some middle ground, for crypto sports bookies and government, but not sure how it is going to be implemented.
5293  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: November 25, 2021, 03:49:48 PM
Are you guys excited to see Klay playing again? Well, if you are here's the latest update and we might see him soon back in the court, the number 1 in the NBA now will get back one of the best shooters in the NBA.
Quote
Klay Thompson has been cleared to be a full participant in all Warriors practices.
He isctrending toward return within week of Christmas.
Before Christmas, around Christmas week, or even after it, I am so excited about how much the impact will it be when they insert him back to the rotation.
Iggy had been missing games and they need one more guy who is strong on both defense and offensive end. Klay is that guy.
Some may even say it will be unfair when GSW is already doing good and if with the added Klay Thompson it will be like an edited NBA console game.  Grin
The game against the 76ers is one of the best example of it. Trailing by 20 points and turning it around winning by 20 points. That's crazy.

They've been doing that though, turning a big deficit and coming in the 3rd and 4th quarter to score 30+ points and then have a double digit win.

Yes, it was reported that Klay will be around Christmas or next year January. So for sure everyone is going to watch his first game and wanted to see an old catch and shoot, and the other part of the splash brothers. I think Iggy is on the limited minutes that's why he is missing some games. Nevertheless, they kept on winning so Iggy can take all the rest he wants.
5294  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Governments planning a Crypto Crackdown? on: November 25, 2021, 03:04:13 PM
We've seen this crackdown for many years now, specially after a massive bull run in 2017. And then not just governments, but G7 countries and other world financial governing bodies are coming after bitcoin and crypto in general.

But so far nothing has change, crypto continue to grow and we have adoption increasing every year. So I don't think that we should be worried with this kind of news, crypto will continue to thrive and will probably meet in the middle grounds.
5295  Economy / Gambling discussion / [Boxing]: Ancajas vs Martinez - Feb 26, 2022 on: November 25, 2021, 07:55:09 AM

https://sports.inquirer.net/442761/jerwin-ancajas-set-for-new-years-eve-unification-vs-kazuto-ioka-in-tokyo

It's now official Philippines Jerwin Ancajas will fight Japanese Kazuto Ioka for unification of their IBF and WBO crown.

Ancajas, one of Philippines longest reigning champion, will go for his 10th title defense of his IBF. So this will big as we will have to witnessed another Filipino boxer before the end of the year with Ancajas going to Japan and fight Ioka.
5296  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin makes new ATH. More ATHs to come shortly. on: November 22, 2021, 04:13:00 PM
It's just around 20 days ago when Bitcoin reached its previous ATH which was $66,974.77. Just an hour ago, that ATH is already a piece of history as Bitcoin once again registered a new ATH. This time, the new ATH is $67,772.67.

Who else have the feeling that this very recent ATH will not be there for long?

$100,000 is now in clear sight. S2F might prove to be right once again.
$100k is on clear sight but doesnt mean that we would able to break 70-80-90k easily and expect that this would really be a hell of  bumpy ride and theres some indefinite time on when it would happen. It all matters

with the demand and recognition which is something that cant really be influenced for it to move it faster or something like that but we are surely moving and heading there despite of the tight regulations that

we are facing considering that government doesnt always end up on being positive with crypto but rather they do really hesitate on dealing or touching it which it isnt really surprising at all.

We will see if we can pump $10k before the end of the month just to push the price to near levels of $70K. Unfortunately, it seems that the price can't even go above $60k. But yes, if 6 digits is clear then it will be one bumpy ride leading to it. We still have the historical bullish month of December to look forward to, so let's see how it will pan out. And we didn't hit 6 digits this year, then obviously, the target would be Q1 of 2022.
5297  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: how to trust in projects? like www.certik.org ? on: November 22, 2021, 01:20:15 PM
Not sure if checking a project code is enough to trust a project.

We have seen projects getting an independent auditor to check their code and it pass. However, after a few months, it was hack. I can't remember which project it was though. But the point is that we shouldn't trust anyone here not even those who claim they have the cutting technology to check for security loopholes and exploits.
5298  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: November 22, 2021, 12:33:31 PM
[
I will take the Warriors -7.5 against the Raps.
I took almost the same bet just now. -8.5 for me as I trust the Warriors will take this game to a  blowout game.
Now watching Bulls versus Knicks and it's cool how the Bulls fans did a standing ovation when DRose checked in. They never forget and still appreciate him.

Congratulations to everyone!

Warriors won the game by 15 points, and they didn't even need Curry to be red-hot to get the win... It was a quite night for Curry on the score bored with just 12 points of 7 were from the free throw line, highly unusual but he did bagged 8 assists.

Poole and Wiggins were phenomenal tonight both from mid-range and behind the arc, they were the go-to for the Warriors tonight.

Exactly, Curry knows how to take a back seat and let others score, in this case Wiggins get's hot on the first quarter and then Poole on the 2nd.

Draymond also played superb offence and defence, he can carry and push the ball and make some incredible plays. I have Warriors + Suns parlay -5.5 and 4.5, so another good win.

Looks like these two teams are the hottest in the NBA now, they can't lose especially the Suns who at the same time also cover the spread. They are still a legit contender in the NBA Finals so we can put our confidence on this team.

Suns will play again tomorrow, and it's against the Spurs...The spread is  -5.5 for the Suns,.. what do you think about this game? It's a back to back game, so Suns might be tired and lose this game?

I will still pick the Suns to win against the Spurs even though they are in a back to back games and yes, they could cover that spread as well.

They are on a winning streak, and I doubt that they don't want to continue it and be beaten by a 4-11 team in the West. Spurs team are very young and I think they still lack the experience to beat a very high caliber team like Phoenix.
5299  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Lopez vs Kambosos - November 27 on: November 22, 2021, 11:00:59 AM

I mean this fight should have happen many months ago and maybe boxing fans has gotten tired of this one. So it make sense for Kambosos to sell the fight in his native Australia so that many of his fans will buy the tickets PPV.

Lopez though is quiet now, and the next time that we will see them together is the weigh in.

And I'm still expecting a lot of fire works and trash talking during their face-off.

I hope the long wait is worth it, I lost count of the delays, Lopez is planning to fight Haney when this fight is not yet finished, he is so sure that he will win the fight, Kambosos is a good well deserve fighter you don't overlook Kambosos he is putting Kambosos to shame by making him look a weak fighter, I hope Kambosos wins the fight so he will not underestimate good fighters like Kambosos, he thinks he is invincible, bypassing his opponent.

I expect Kambosos to really put up a good show in the beginning, maybe going toe to toe with Lopez and trying to test Lopez chin and resiliency.

But I don't think it will be enough though, Lopez is too good here.

Lopez is good but I'm looking for an upset, I think Lopez is just overrated while Kambasos is underrated, so I will follow what I believe and I will trust the underdog Kambasos to teach Lopez a lesson.

Quote
So I'm not seeing an upset by Kambosos, and maybe this could be a tko/ko win by Lopez late.
The fight is nearing, we will find out if your prediction is correct.

Yes, it will be this week so let's see how it goes.

Of course there's always that element of surprises and there are chances that Kambosos can win against Lopez. But it's only the ML is that open up for now, but hopefully as the fight gets near, more options will be available for us boxing gamblers.

Thank you guys for all the replies.

But I have to locked the thread as Crawford has won the fight. Hopefully we will see him fight Errol Spence Jr. next.
