5301  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Looking for ICO ready to moon! on: October 06, 2017, 11:25:52 AM
Hey guys I am looking for ICO's that:

Have a product that is already in development i.e. pre alpha phase

Available to investors world wide- want something with highest potential growth

Is legally sound (very important)- reason I invested in Etch, saw their legal plan is supposed to be strong

Where the product actually solves an issue

Also, I want to invest in ICON. Does anyone have any good analysis on whether its a good idea to place the majority of my initial Ether into them?

Thanks people, I really appreciate how helpful everyone is on here

I think Stox fits most of those criteria.
5302  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Where do you find interesting ICO ? on: October 06, 2017, 10:37:52 AM
Where do you find interesting ICO or crypto projects to invest ? Here on bitcointalk announcements or on other websites related to new ICO  announcements !

I wouldn't judge from here or social media twitter/facebook as there will be a lot of people saying a coin is great because they are on the social media bounty campaign.
Instead there are plenty of ICO review sites. Hacked I think is the best and most thorough.
5303  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What do you prefer? BTC or ETH? on: October 06, 2017, 10:36:04 AM
People always said that ETH will be the next Bitcoin. Since Bitcoin is having major updates, will ETH will launch into the moon, soon?

Eth is different thing to bitcoin, so it won't replace it as they have different uses. Eth is for smart contracts, btc is basically a store of value and the gateway to alts through trading pairs. They will both survive and prosper.
5304  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: EBTC on: October 06, 2017, 10:27:51 AM
The price is crazy. I understand some things about crypto, but I don't understand other things. What is this price rise built on? Is it pure speculation based on: bitcoin + ethereum = great ?
5305  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The END of ICO's? on: October 05, 2017, 12:39:02 PM
Are ICO's as we know them coming to an end?  U.S., now China... Will all ICO's be regulated now? (would regulation be good?)

And now South Korea too. Yes, they will survive with regulation, which will be a good thing to weed out the scams.
5306  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Cash & Bitcoin Gold? on: October 05, 2017, 12:12:48 PM
Hi All,

Does an individual need to hold at least one BTC before they can get the equivalent BITCOIN CASH or BITCOIN GOLD?

I have about 30% of one BTC would I be eligible for some?

If so, I know gold is not out yet but how would I claim bitcoin cash for the amount I have?

Cheers

If it's a fork that produces a new coin, then essentially that means two versions of the chain... so whatever you hold one on chain you'll hold the same amount on the other. The name of the coin is the only thing that changes (on one chain) to allow people to differentiate between them.
5307  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: What is Airdrop and Where to find them on: October 05, 2017, 12:06:30 PM
The AirdropAlert website is very useful for latest news on airdrops all in one place:

5308  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: If you have now 500$ for invest? Where you invest? on: October 05, 2017, 08:10:15 AM
Same question as in topic.
Where you invest your money today?
Btc, Ltc, Eth, Lisk or what?

It's not a lot, so I would just say bitcoin if you want closest thing to a guaranteed return. But if it's gambling money then go for something more speculative with a much lower market cap.
5309  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Bitcoin CASH vs Ethereum on: October 05, 2017, 07:59:48 AM
I think Ethereum will stay number 2 as it has a real use, but Bitcoin Cash seems to be mostly speculation. I'm not sure what it really offers, and not sure it will be sustainable in the long term on speculation alone.
5310  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why isn't crypto going mainstream? on: October 05, 2017, 07:48:19 AM
Hey guys,

I don't get what's holding us back. Every time I talk about crypto with a family member or someone at work their eyes glaze over.

I feel like I'm the weirdo talking about klingon mating rituals!

Which makes me wonder - why are we still on the fringe? What could we do to take blockchain technology and make it accessible for everyone?

Anyway, that's my rant for today...

What do you think?

I keep thinking I'm late as I didn't get involved until 2017. But in fact I'm just late relative to most people on this forum. In fact I'm very early compared to the population at large.
Mainstream adoption will come, we're heading there slowly. The non-crypto world needs to catch up and develop the right infrastructure. Look at something like Ethereum smart contracts. People say this could underpin the next iteration of the internet. Yes it could, but it's still in the future. We need to be patient.
5311  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: How profitable are doing bounties? on: October 05, 2017, 07:25:41 AM
I feel like quitting my job and doing bounties full-time, but I am not sure how influential I will be and also how much can I expect to earn shilling multiple coins a month. Can anyone shed some light on this?

I don't think you can make enough doing that. The social media bounties often have many hundreds of participants so the reward is spread very thinly. I think bounties are great, but you can't make a living from it. Of course it might be different if you have many thousands of followers or a popular blog.
5312  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: South Korea Bans All Initial Coin Offerings on: October 05, 2017, 07:14:16 AM
I think all of these bans are temporary. They don't want to stop them altogether, they just want them to be regulated. The quickest way to do that is a temp ban whilst a legal framework is put in place.
5313  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Siacoin future ? on: October 04, 2017, 01:09:51 PM
It looks dead, price-wise. I can't see a massive pump happening. I think it will just fall gradually but continually. You can take it that I'm not a big fan.
5314  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: FUCK Coin?? Who's in on it? on: October 04, 2017, 12:53:27 PM
The name just puts me off, like it's desperate for attention. I wouldn't trust this coin and I'm staying clear.
5315  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Is $320 next target for Ethereum this week? on: October 04, 2017, 12:44:55 PM
I don't think ETH will go up yet until the fork issue has been resolved and everything has calmed down. I think it will go smoothly, but you just don't know until sometime afterwards.
5316  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Omg dumping? on: October 04, 2017, 12:18:02 PM
I don't think it's a dump, just a correction. Best time in general to buy is when the whole market crashes like the bitcoin fork in the summer.
5317  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is finding members for signature bounties getting harder and harder? on: October 04, 2017, 11:59:47 AM
Hello!

Lately it seems that getting members to join signature bounties became very hard till almost impossible. Hugh amounts joining social-networks bounties tho.

Are the big numbers of upcoming icos the reason?

OR what else could it be?

I think plenty of people are joining sig bounties. It's just that many more people are joining social media bounties. And the reason for this will be it's only possible to join 1 sig bounty, but you can join loads of social media ones.
So imagine 5 people and 5 ICOs... each person joins 1 sig campaign and all 5 facebook campaigns. So each FB campaign has 5 entrants and each sig has 1. I think it's just that.
5318  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What encourages you to invest in any altcoin? on: October 04, 2017, 11:45:41 AM
I am a crypto enthusiastic and i know a 90% of people here on bitcointalk are as well.
There are a lot of altcoins in the market today. What should one look out for before investing in any altcoin

It's just what comes out of your own research. The worst thing you can do is jump in and buy a coin because people are saying it's good without explaining why it's good.

So roadmap, team, whitepaper and progress so far, PR, the use case that the coin is trying to fill, competitors, other potential obstacles (legislative etc). The list is endless really, just reasearch and more research.
5319  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Super Low caps - which is most legit? on: October 04, 2017, 11:25:22 AM
theyre probably all scam coins, but if one wasn't a scam and is a 100x - 1000x - which one would it be?

SPHR, UNIFY, COSS, DDF, ENT, TKR, DALC, Q2C

Anyone who knows about an undiscovered gem will want to keep it undiscovered, so they won't share it until they've built as big a position as they want.
I don't think there's much point asking the question on here, a lot of posts will be from people wanting to dump their bags.
5320  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: WALTONCHAIN - this has massive massive potential on: October 03, 2017, 01:17:44 PM
This coin looks interesting but I think I missed the boat. I'm always scared to jump in when something has risen so fast. Easy to get burnt when it drops again.
