5301  Economy / Economics / Re: How Will FB Coin/JPM Coin Impact the Cryptocurrency Ecosystem? on: June 28, 2019, 12:42:41 PM
I think we may not trust facebook or jpm but there are so mnay people that trust them and facebook will make their own currency market so well everywhere all around the world that eventually even companies will start to pay each other with libra to make things easier instead of bank transactions.

You and I may not trust it, however they have billions of users and that means even if 1% of it uses that currency it will become huge. Hence, I think this will be good and bad, firstly good because they are still doing something banks have been doing for years and it will hurt banks so having Libra on our side against banks will help us, but the bad is they are also trying to steal away people from crypto world too which will hurt us as much as banks and we are not as strong as banks.
5302  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: End of FAKE volume reporting on: June 27, 2019, 04:00:21 PM
I think it was already obvious, you can see a place getting too much attention and their volume is also high so you kind of understand how big they are, you go on forums and reddit and social media and everywhere you look you see binance as the king of all exchanges. Then there are small god knows who uses this type of awful places that nobody talks about and they are getting a ton of volume on the lists, well you tend to not trust them at all. I have personally been involved in many ICO as a team member and my teams have reached out to exchanges to get listed and they were giving away market making bots to us to buy and sell our own coin to make it look like our volume is up which works for them too because while our coin gets more attention their website getting more volume as well.
5303  Economy / Economics / Re: Using credit cards to buy bitcoin in the bull run on: June 27, 2019, 02:53:18 PM
Warren buffet always says "do not spend and invest the leftovers, invest and spend the leftovers", if you want to make legit investments even if you are a poor person that makes the end of the month difficult just try to invest your money into whatever you want (in this case bitcoin) and then spend the rest for living making it even more difficult to live but if you can adjust it and manage it leave it as it is, if you fail and its not possible at worst you will cash out your bitcoins.

So, there is no loss in this scenario, just invest as soon as you get your pay check and try to live, if you fail at worst you are fine but if you spend your money and try to invest whatever is left then you will most likely have nothing left at all. That is what I have been doing for years and it worked perfectly most of the time (sometimes I had to cash out a bit to be honest but that was fine).
5304  Economy / Economics / Re: Any other areas that blockchain can be used? on: June 27, 2019, 01:39:27 PM
The blockchain system could be used very well in sports if you ask me. I know it sounds far fetched but we all know who Messi is or Lebron James is or Nadal is, yet we don't know the small time local people at all.

If you use blockchain to give these people voices too you can have a scouting system in all over the world for any sport you want, there will be difficulties like who will put the data in and how legit it will be but if you have agreements with the sports officials to put them in instead of teams itself then you can find someone from 7th league of English soccer league from all the way in Nigeria or vice versa to find people that are way above their leagues and plays much better than others comparatively. That is why in sports blockchain could make a huge change in scouting and bring all sports into football manager level of scouting as well.
5305  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2019 NBA Season on: June 27, 2019, 12:49:09 PM
I think it is the difference of teams success as well. Last season Harden won the MVP and his team was around the same places as this season, so when you look at it harden and rockets didn't do anything out of ordinary for them, it was expected of harden to lead rockets to top of the west conference.

On the other hand, Giannis made bucks a lot better this season (of course coach bud had a lot to do with it) and then bucks became the first seed in the east. Which means giannis both improved himself but also improved his team as well. That is why Giannis got the MVP, not because he was better than Harden but because he was the most "valuable" player, if we gave the award to the best player ever then KD or Lebron would have got all mvp's in the past decade every single year.
5306  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Now I know why eSports prize pools go over millions of dollars! on: June 27, 2019, 08:21:19 AM
Well nowadays most of the younger generations would choose esports rather than playing the real sports.
They would rather try to be a great esports player to make money from it in so many ways .
For example gambling,Gambling in esports are not new and it is very popular for amateurs and pro ,
Some players are also making money by streaming that is why there are so many streamers nowadays .
They are using their own game play to make some highlights and post it on different streaming platform to attract followers.
In my opinion, no type of gambling should be encouraged, either esports or real sport, if it has gambling attached then it’s not worth it. I feel really bad most of the times I watch how this younger generations get carried away with gambling and no one is concerned about telling them the bad side of the game

In 2016 I had over 3BTCS and gradually started gambling from it, just for the sole aim of making profit but before the end of 2017 I had lost it all completely. It’s a tough and unforgettable experience and most times when I speak against gambling, it is totally out of my very bitter experience. Gambling is addictive, destructive and also not good for any individual and I mean no type of gambling at all. I believe professional gamblers are coming to attack me on this comment but I only erred my mind.
5307  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Hospital That Treats Bitcoin Gambling Addicts? on: June 27, 2019, 07:13:04 AM
Well, maybe that hospital treats bitcoin gambling addicts is also a rehab. Because curing gambling addicts is not just easy as far as I know, mental illness needs more time to become to cure and it takes perhaps a month. Indeed, we can also do that in our place to cure someone addicts if we have Psychiatrists and psychologists that cure mental illness.
That’s true, There are some hospitals with sub sections for rehabilitation and I believe that is what this hospital is all about but my only problem with them is treating crypto or Bitcoin addicts. That sounds funny and doesn’t make any sense to me, even rehabs were all manner of addiction is taking to takes some time because they cannot boast of curing addiction immediately, how much more an hospital. Does the hospital have a special drug to treat addiction and is the drug for just crypto gamblers alone.

I don’t even think I know any addicted gambler but real addicted gamblers that should need urgent attention are those ones that would gamble on anything.
If an hospital claims they can do it then lets believe they can. I don’t think any government would waste money creating such an hospital when they are very much aware they have no solution to the problem they claim to have.

Although I have never visited any of this hospitals or even a rehabilitation center but I have seen people get cured of addiction. This has to do with brain and medically, there’s a cure to addiction, maybe not crypt addiction as explained by the OP. But, it’s only a matter of time and the truth will be unveiled for now let’s appreciate the effort of the owners of such hospital. Not easy coming with such an idea that would really be impact-full.
5308  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Casinos can use AI to get additional edge? on: June 27, 2019, 06:10:55 AM
the house always win, it has to be that way or we don't have a platform to gamble. sonit best to side with them when they offer something like revenue sharing than rely on winning bets. this is the reason i only bet on sports since they can't manipulate results to it.  dice and roullets is just not the type of game you can consider fair even when the codes are shared.
I don’t believe there’s any site that cannot be manipulated, sport bet is no exemption but they have tried to make theirs really transparent which is very good. I have come to the acceptance that casinos are designed to always be in their favor and there’s nothing we can do about this. It’s just so bad that dice are roulette are the leaders in this pattern of manipulation

Let’s just be hopeful that things would change with time and casino edge can now be 50/50 but for now, we do all we can to secure our little win and having fun with the games. Even the AI are not working properly as we want it to be, I believe it need to be upgraded and in years to come better than it is at the moment.
5309  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is anonymous betting a desired feature? on: June 26, 2019, 06:41:09 PM
I guess there are many anonymous betting and recommended the betting site for the gamblers who don't want to send any documents, so you don't have to do KYC. That will better for you because you can prevent the bad things that might happen with the site and besides that, you can feel fine to play in that site. You don't have to think negative after you send the document because usually, when we send the document, sometimes we think what will happen next after the document was sent to them.

Anonymous betting can be a good reason for gamblers to play gambling game because they can play gambling without using their real identity, and they can prevent the illegal things that might happen.
The only reason so many enjoy to gamble secretly is nothing more but for safety and I don’t think any site can be 100% trusted enough to lave such vital information. Do not forget that there could be times this site gets hacked and the information on the database gets exposed. Bear in mind that When gamblers say they cannot expose their information because they do not trust the site, it does not necessarily mean that the site is not of good reputation but in gambling anything can happen.

I have heard stories of cases where a site gets hacked and the client’s information get passed to a third party. It’s a matter of decision, those who see nothing wrong with gambling on a KYC regulation site can go ahead, but for those of us who have a thing against it, I feel our reason should not be seen as flimsy.
5310  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Which factors influence your decision of choosing an online crypto casino? on: June 26, 2019, 05:17:40 PM
  • Easy to register & play
  • You can play anywhere & anytime.
  • Stay Anonim went we are playing.
  • The deposit & withdraw using crypto payment / virtual money make us really easy to deposit & withdraw

Good points. For me i would like to see api support so you can customize all the bets to your own needs.
Yeah that are good points. For me, what matters the most is the consumer satisfaction that can keep a user stick on the site and gambler for long. In addition, instant withdrawal are also something that is appreciated by the gambler. That being said, you should look for the site that provide great ease and opportunity for the gambler to make money. It is absurd to gamble on the kind of site that gives tough time.
I think that is an important aspect to look into but much more you should be concerned about reputation. There are a lot of sites out there with various varieties of games but cannot be trusted. I am also a lover of varieties when it comes to choices of games but the first and most important thing I look at is the reputation.

Few weeks back, I stumbled on a site, with good themes, very responsive and as well various games type. I found it really tempting to play my games but had to do a quick research and discovered it was a rogue site. I have learnt from this experience to place reputation above the normally intriguing themes and games while at the same time there are still trusted sites with good varieties of games.
5311  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why casinos want you to stay long in their area on: June 26, 2019, 04:25:29 PM
^ exactly, this is just a kind of manipulation. Imagine, someone goes inside casino just for free food/drinks, pretty sure he will be kicked out.
People in the casino wants more people in and some of them are not really making bets, the free foods and drinks are nothing compare to the millions they made from so many high rollers gambling I read one high roller losing $200k in one night, so they want to give as many perks as possible for people to stay and bet.

Right, and with the free food and drinks they can still get people and gamblers attention so they can still get back what they spend for food once those people coming in will gamble, not only that they can get back what they spend but they can get big profits as well that is why casinos wanted to stay long because the longer they'll get the higher the profits.
Don’t you think that it is a very good strategy for business? I have never really gotten to patronize a casino center and I didn’t know they do this until I saw this post here about it. I am truly impressed by such act and as a business person, I have learnt that aspect already which I really appreciate I got the opportunity to learn.

I think gamblers would have to start learning how to pick good than bad. You go to a casino center and you are offered drinks, the first thing that should even come to mind is this operators are ready to take my money, and that way be smart enough to be timely, so why feel so comfortable and at the end of  the day start blaming casino centers for keeping you longer than intended? It’s their business .
5312  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2019 NBA Season on: June 26, 2019, 03:38:01 PM
I think the weird part is how Ayton was drafted on first pick because he is a big and "you can't teach big" sense and how a small forward/shooting guard that plays like a playmaker and a point guard that is a great shooter during the peak of shooters were drafted lower.

I mean even during the draft I have told people Luka already proved himself as a great player on euroleague and they should not sleep on euroleague because a kid getting mvp among all other big men shows how great Luka was and he was a proven talent instead of some college kid yet people still thought Trae would be great because he was capable of shooting.

This rookie of the year shows clearly how right I was to trust Luka but I will admit that Trae was better than I expected, when he started slow I said "this is what Trae will be like in NBA" but he started to play better eventually, they will most definitely get better with time and become amazing players, both of them.
5313  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: When will Bitcoin bump into bottom again? on: June 26, 2019, 01:50:44 PM
I think there is still a lot of time to go for that plus it may not be even this much when it drops, that is what people are forgetting about bitcoin. Right now, we are at around 12 thousand dollars and maybe it will go to 40 thousand dollars next and then the next bottom will be around 20-25 thousand dollars, who knows? That is why if you want to wait around until the next bottom you might be waiting for the wrong thing and the price will keep going up and never come back down to these levels so the "bottom" you are looking for might be this one right here.

Of course, there is a chance the history doesn't repeat itself and it will drop from here but I wouldn't take that risk if I were you, maybe divide your money in half and buy some here and if it drops you will buy more later and if it doesn't one half of your money will become more than the other half.
5314  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Price Increase Market is good again. on: June 26, 2019, 01:22:57 PM
I think IEO is just one part of the deal, I think the fact that so many corporations and countries becoming supportive of bitcoin was the real changer here.

I mean there are companies that worth billions and billions of dollars that started to look at crypto in some other light which meant that bitcoin wasn't seen as this weird investment but a real legit investment option by the wall street banks as well which in return made us look better for regular people as well.

All of this combined made bitcoin what it is today and helped us go triple of what we used to be right now. Lets hope that this attention continues so we can increase the price a lot more to 40-50 thousand dollars but that seems like a bit long way to go just yet, I am sure we will get there one day, but I doubt it will be anytime this summer.
5315  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Altcoin for next crypto bull season? on: June 26, 2019, 12:04:24 PM
I think the clear choice for me is EOS, they have been getting more and more attention and I have been following them ever since they were not even half of this price, so they are already going up and we haven't even had a altcoin bull run just yet, think of a coin that increased during all other altcoins went down and imagine what it can do when all altcoins go up as well, EOS will erupt and go bananas when the altcoin bull happens.

Of course, maybe I am wrong, maybe it already increased so during the bull run it will not go as much as others since it already increased but I doubt thats the case. Ethereum is always a favorite, its a big one. I think nano could make a come back considering they have been dropped a lot and they deserve to be really higher with their insanely improved technology.
5316  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Facebook’s Libra Isn’t a “Cryptocurrency” on: June 26, 2019, 09:54:02 AM
I think the best explanation of facebook is that it is a centralized stablecoin that is pegged to the governments it has a problem with. Do you really need any other reason to not trust libra at all? I mean what else do you need for something to have the worst start of a new coin ever?

They are a stablecoin and not a real crypto currency which is a negative, they are centralized in both utility and control for facebook which is a huge negative, they are pegging their currency into dollars and euroes which is controlled by governments and federal banks of which facebook has an open investigation about breach of privacy which is a total negative, these are all negatives combined making it the worst possible coin ever for us but at the same time it will be valuable since it existing is better than not existing.
5317  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin prices skyrocket thanks to Facebook on: June 26, 2019, 07:20:18 AM
I think everyone already understood that bitcoin didn't went up thanks to facebook at all. I mean I have personally been involved with marketing for a long time and I have tried to make advertisements of some products all over the internet and while google and twitter all allowed crypto advertisements facebook wasn't allowing it because of crypto ban reasons.

Now, you are here telling me a facebook crypto would make things different and allow us to get a bigger price in bitcoin just because they are getting into crypto? There is no way, if facebook didn't even allowed crypto to be advertised then their own personal crypto is just pure hypocrisy at best. Bitcoin was down for very long time and the moment sellers stopped selling at the bottom people started to buy back and rallied up, thats the reason.
5318  Economy / Economics / Re: What are some not so obvious things that damage a country's economy? on: June 25, 2019, 05:51:53 PM
I think the most obvious one is the nationalization of the resources, I know it hasn't happened in a long time and most countries react capitalistically to the things they even own but if the country is controlled by a maniac then that country usually doesn't get too much investments and that Is why their economy usually goes down.

So, even though the president of a country doesn't do anything directly to damage the country right away, just doing something crazy to irrelevant thing may cause the investors to spook and withdraw their already existing investments and stops any new ones to get in as well which means that thing president did that was irrelevant actually damaged the country indirectly. You have to pick a person as president that is fair to everyone equally to make sure democracy and power checking exists that would make sure investors come to your country.
5319  Economy / Economics / Re: Is institutional capital good or bad for Bitcoin? on: June 25, 2019, 04:02:23 PM
I mean it is the corporations so it is always a bit of a risk for sure but at this stage of bitcoin how can you stop them.
Sometimes arguing about something you can't do anything about is both fun but also very useless, lets say institutional capital is very very bad for bitcoin, can you stop it? Can you slow it down? What can you do about it? Nothing. So why would we care about if it is good or bad if we can't do anything about it.

Maybe instead of focusing on the discussion of good or bad, we should instead shift our focus on how can we make it good. I have always liked the idea of acquisitions for example, if big corporations buy the smaller crypto ones and make it bigger and put more funding into it to get it to higher stage that would be good, maybe instead of buying bitcoin, we should help them buy the crypto companies instead.
5320  Economy / Economics / Re: THE BITCOINS AND THE UNDERDEVELOPED WORLD on: June 25, 2019, 02:54:37 PM
I don't think the cheap fee is just a secondary good thing that suppose to be just supplementing the decentralized ways. I don't know what satoshi was thinking or what he would have wanted as the creator of the original concept and the first block but in the end I am pretty sure that core team likes the idea of cheap transactions since they have been working on both segwit and lightning network and want to make it as cheap as possible. That is why I honestly believe that we should be focusing on helping them out and making it cheap since if we get to even a higher stage than the prices will become insane once again which would throttle the increase of bitcoin once again and would cause it to drop back in price since people may leave because of it. That is why we should make it as cheap as possible to make the price go higher.
