5301  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: A good example of elite manipulation of Bitcoin on: August 09, 2018, 07:13:37 PM
Sadly people does not understand these price manipulation and falls victim to it. The one who are publicly showing hatred towards crypto currencies are actually the one who privately invests on these coins after causing price dip by confusing the naive general people. Funny things is they remain dormant for a while and then rises all of a sudden to show hatred towards the coin.
5302  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: in times like these on: August 09, 2018, 12:31:19 AM
People should understand that this is quite common in crypto currency market. In fact, people should actually take advantage of this volatility. When the starts to go down, start investing slowly (instead of selling!). The more it dips down, the more you should be investing. Eventually, we will see that the price starts to recover once again. This time we should slowly start selling (in order to stay risk free) or keep holding and sell when your require profit goal is reached.
5303  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: STOP THIS DESPERATION FOR FREE TOKENS!!! on: August 08, 2018, 09:13:17 PM
Amount of spammers that are being caused for these negligible amount of tokens is actually amusing. People don't understand that they themselves are destroying the community. The same community which will actually help them to increase the price of the token. Opening multiple accounts and joining those campaigns only causes the rewards to be decreased. Even the developers are taking advantage of desperate people by reducing the amount of reward. If only people understood  Roll Eyes.
5304  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to find the right coins to buy on: August 08, 2018, 09:09:25 PM
The first thing to do is to filter out coins that you think are scam and make a short list of some legitimate coins. Next choose some coins that are "new". Analyse those coins. If you think they have potential and is undervalued, then invest on it without hesitating. Finally, invest rest of your investment on coins that are actually popular and trending. Those are coins that you will be holding for long term.
5305  Economy / Economics / Re: What would happen to banks? on: August 08, 2018, 09:03:40 PM
Some points you mentioned are just fantasy. Banks and crypto currencies don't go together. They are the direct competitors of each other. Crypto currencies were made so that we can have financial freedom. Freedom from all third party institution that takes control of our currency. Now, all the points you mentioned, can be done with the regular fiat currency. Then why use crypto currency and make things more complicated such as giving out loans using crypto currencies and savings that you mentioned?
5306  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Where to get reliable bounties on: August 07, 2018, 10:47:30 PM
I know it is hard to find a good bounty campaign since most of them turn out to be just pure scam. Try looking for campaigns that have developers who are well known. Try to look out for signs that seems fishy. If you find anything weird, just don't join the campaign or leave it halfway. It is still better since you at least won't be spending rest of your time for the scam project. Look for bounty managers that are reputed, since they make sure that have the payments with them secured and they even do their own analysis to make sure they are not managing a scammy project.
5307  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is the world ready for cryptocurrency? on: August 07, 2018, 10:32:47 PM
Although there are a few countries who uses bitcoins and other cryptocurrencies now, I cannot help but wonder if the world is truly ready for this digital currency? It will certainly be hard to replace all currencies in the world but it could happen in a decade or so, perhaps even less? Still the question is, is the world ready? I think if this happens it might be one of the biggest changes that will happen worldwide.
Bitcoin and other crypto currencies are still on its infant stage. There are various little flaws that are holding us back from using it as a global currency. More development is needed to solve these current problem with the technology. And most people are still illiterate on this section. So we need to spread out the word and what this technology can do to the people. Once they get to know the real benefits, they will be ready to use it.
5308  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Being Used for Blackmail on: August 04, 2018, 03:22:41 PM
I just got an email that I pasted below the asterisks.  The only thing they have right is an old password that I still use for forums I’ve belonged to for years.  Mostly computer and photography related forums.  They are telling me they have videos from a porn site and my web cam and well, you can read the email.  I do not have a web cam, nor do I use Messenger, Outlook or Facebook.  I removed my password from the email.  Their BTC address is listed, tho I removed the last 4 characters for the purpose of posting here.  They are demanding $1,000 within 24 hours.  I do believe this is a scam of some sort.  If I click on reply, there is no address and if I try to look at all headers in the email, it is not available.  Never seen that before.  Is there a way to trace this person and find out who they are?  I am not sending them anything.

One thing I did notice the other day is that a proxy program I run always in Firefox got turned off the other day.  That’s never happened before.

-snip-
That's is just a spam email trying to scam you. They probably got your old password and email address from some database leak and is using those information to just scare you a bit. They expected you to get startled seeing your password on their hands and try to extort you with the help of your fear and embarrassment. Typical old school scam. I still remember there used to be a scam/blackmail in US back in 2003-2004 where they used to send you letters stating that they know you were having an affair with someone else and was deceiving your wife. They even claim that they have enough proof to bust you, but those are just bullshit.
5309  Economy / Speculation / Re: Trade at the end of 2018 . on: August 04, 2018, 03:16:41 PM
If you are saying that it will be following the same pattern, then why wait for the end of the year? Just invest now and hold till the end. You will be making your maximum profit and will also be helping to pump up the price. But do keep this in mind that this is the crypto market. Everything is unpredictable and you might see the opposite of what has happened the last year. So be prepared to face anything unexpected that comes up.
5310  Economy / Economics / Re: Predictions Markets? on: August 04, 2018, 02:47:13 PM
Better not use those kinds of sites or forums. Prediction is nothing but a wild guess. Better to do your own prediction since people who gives this kind of predictions usually tend to scam people by making them invest on some low quality coins or shit coins. They make people buy their coins in order to pump up the price and then the owners usually end up dumping the coins. Thus, the owners win and the users that followed the prediction lost.
5311  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Be contented with what you have on: August 04, 2018, 02:44:40 PM
Yeah, as they say, success and being rich takes a lot of time. This type of success will definitely last longer than one time hit and one shot millionaire. But it takes a lot of courage and patience to do this. We should not look at our portfolio everyday especially in times like this. Just focus on the other side of crypto that would ease your mind.
If takes a lot of time, then you are doing something wrong. I know i might sound a bit confusing, but think it for yourself. If you are doing something to get rich, but is taking a lot of time then there is something  that is not right. You should either look for what you are doing wrong, or just try something else. If you are not determined, then chances are you will lose hope and eventually give up as more time takes place.
5312  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What is best practice for gambling?? on: August 04, 2018, 12:52:32 PM
First of all, considering your money as "little investment" is totally wrong. Gambling is not a form of investment. It is a game of chances where only luck decides if you are going to win or lose. The best practice is to not gamble at all since you do not have enough money to flush money down the drain. Even if you still want to gamble, do keep in mind that in the long run you will eventually lose to the house. So if you made some profit, just stop gambling for that day.
5313  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: The hard Truth on: August 04, 2018, 08:33:54 AM
It is not true. How do you know that 90% of people fail in trading? You probably went through the forum and saw people crying when they lose money in trading. Its in peoples nature. Whenever they lose anything they look for something to blame on and demotivates other people from doing the same even though its their own fault they lost. Again, people who are successfully trading don't post much about their success (not unless they lose all due to their greed/stupidity) for which it looks like that people most of the time loses money in trading.
5314  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: You can go wrong! on: August 04, 2018, 08:23:40 AM
The most common mistake with crypto users is as a result of impatience, thus selling coins at cheaper prices and regretting later. In order to breakthrough successfully in crypto, you cannot forgo patience. Never panic is situations when a coin experiences a fall in price. Just keep calm and wait patiently for the bull market.
But sometimes selling off your investment might do good for you. If you are holding your current investment but not making anything, you might miss the opportunity to invest on other coins that are actually worth holding. Again, exiting out quickly also saves you from suffering from huge losses and gives you the chance to invest back again when the price goes down to its bottom level before recovering.
5315  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why you should stay off from market prediction on: August 04, 2018, 06:15:07 AM
The points you mentioned are actually true. Most of the predictions are just either wild guess or just some stupid guess. They guess the value of bitcoin and other crypto currencies using the pattern that are followed most of the previous years, but this is the crypto market. Chances of the price deviating from the previous pattern are actually high. Again some people just make stupid random guess which makes no sense. And lets not forget about the people who gives out  guesses to manipulate the market.
5316  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to maximize your altcoins holding. on: August 04, 2018, 06:11:39 AM
All suggestions you mentioned are the way of getting free coins or tokens. But do you really think it is that easy? Do you think the value of those coins will actually rise extremely high? They are given away for free, so chances are that they won't. And bounty, airdrop and quiz/giveaways are actually not really worth it if you are a serious investor. They are just waste of time. You could do something more efficient to earn more using the same amount of time and concentration.
5317  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: where to invest? on: August 03, 2018, 10:17:21 PM
Instead of asking people which coin to invest on, it is better to go find it out yourself. There are tons of coins on the market. People will encourage you to invest on coins in which they have invested no matter how bad the coins is. So you better look for the coins  yourself. Look for coins that have potential but is undervalued.
5318  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The Alt market is testing you: Will you break! on: August 03, 2018, 09:30:47 PM
It is a bloodbath to say the least!
Hold the line: This is do or die!
If the ETF is not approved everything will get worse and take a long time to recover!
It isn’t easy watching money evaporate but we knew that this game was speculative and have to pay the price!
Like I said: Do or die!
I though the ETF proposal was already rejected once or was it just postponed? Experts are saying that it will take another nine to twelve months before ETF is accepted.
The price of altcoins are actually more sensitive than bitcoin. If bitcoin price rises, altcoin price rises as much or bit lesser. But if the price of bitcoin falls down a bit, we see the price of  altcoins going down even more. So just holding the altcoins will eventually in the long run give you profit.
5319  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What do you think about Pre-pre-ICOs? on: August 03, 2018, 09:23:12 PM
There are lots of projects who launch their pre-pre-ico and highly advertise their product before they start their first stage of pre-ICO. Do you think it's justified?
The ICO pre-sale or pre-ICO is just another shit concept. I don't know why people even invest on those project. They sure to give out tokens in cheaper prices during ICO pre-sale, but to be honest it is totally not required at all. Scammers end up getting easy money twice, once during the pre-ICO sale and another during the main ICO sale. This attracts more greedy scammers after people fall for it successfully.
5320  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I need help on: August 03, 2018, 09:13:51 PM
Your best bet is not not look for those group. Do not join those group since you are new to trading and the market. They will try to take advantage of you and even try to scam you. More over those groups are totally biased. They will force you to invest on coins they have invested no matter how shitty the coin is. Your better do you own research and find the coin you think have potential. And if you need help trading, ask people on this forum.
