5301  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What does it mean by [ANN]? on: December 11, 2019, 11:17:17 PM
ANN and announcement both are same. People are very lazy so they have trouble writing the whole word. They have figured out a short form of it. Now everyone uses it.

Obviously, ANN and announcement are the same. But you must take note of the limited characters allowed in the Subject/Title box.

This kind of abbreviation is already present in the early days of the forum industry on the web.
5302  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Safe or crazy? (sports tickets) on: December 11, 2019, 09:13:51 PM
I wonder if you like small and safe odds or you like crazy odds with a large amount of money, here we are talking about a sports forecast.
I genuinely like crazy odds with low investment.
I usually play two tickets with a small chance of winning, but this is more interesting to me than the "safe" odds.
Do you love when you are hoping and chances are low or when you are hoping and you know that chances are high for that to happen.
An experienced bookmaker usually likes small odds (but he has analyzed those odds well before playing) with big money.

It depends on a game and certain matches.

Sometimes, I'm putting a decent amount @1.2-1.4 odds - (the last time was BTC0.05 for @1.4)
Sometimes, I'm putting a decent amount at higher odds @3 above

Both have the same risks. My knowledge about the game really plays a big role in my decision making. Take note that I'm just doing these types of bets if I saw a certain match to worth to put a shot. I'm not the typical sports bettor who always picks safe odds. Fortunately, my winning stats are good so far.
5303  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Where to post a new project? on: December 11, 2019, 08:44:36 PM
Thanks for the reply.

Offtopic question: I got the project at 80% of the MVP, would you recommend me to post it and get some feedback or wait till everything is up?

I would really appreciate to get some feedback from the community to decide whetever it's worth or not to keep working on the project since I'm alone and I have a full time job, since the project is a little bit risky and no idea if people will like it.

I suggest go fully when everything is 100%.

About the risks, obviously, it's common at any project and you will just know if it will yield good results once you continue doing it. There's also a chance that you will just see good results after several months or will take years.

About the idea, I don't get the picture yet of what is your project all about. Users will be betting in cryptocurrency but it's not gambling? No one will lose?

Ask yourself rather than the community if you can handle the project "ALONE" since you also have a full-time job. You don't have a team. That's also the reason why I suggest that your project should be 100% ready since if there's any problem occur, can you handle alone all the tickets that will be sent to you?

Section:

Project Development - not yet launched, beta stage, planning stage, finding individuals
Service Announcement - official announcement
Gambling - if that's gambling-related

5305  Local / Pamilihan / Re: Coins.ph Official Thread on: December 11, 2019, 07:22:21 PM

Any other ways to register sa paymaya?

Can you screenshot the error bro? To verifiy if may problem ang registration, I just registered my other number and it works fine.

Try to update your Paymaya APP or used other numbers.

I mean sa platform.

Try to backread.

Although mayroon namang way to cashout to Gcash even unavailable ito sa coins.ph (via Paymaya), iba pa rin pag may specific card since di natin masabi in the future kung ano pang abala ang puwede mangyari.
5306  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Should I trust no-kyc promise of basefex? on: December 11, 2019, 07:00:21 PM
I know it's the volume is nothing comparable to deribit or bybit but I really long for an exchange that will never force me to act like a prisoner.

In other words, you are fine undergoing KYC but in a smooth way and not to the point that they will force you to give everything. Then consider using other exchanges with a smooth process of KYC verification.

There is no assurance that the platform you have mention can maintain their no-KYC policy "forever". Remember that even big or small volume exchange today implemented KYC. Even the majority of the exchanges don't want to implement KYC, how can they operate freely if they are under pressure by the authorities?

But why should we play on small exchanges just for their no-KYC feature if we can play the game on much reputable exchange where can I say that we can risk undergoing KYC? I know we have issues about identity theft but top exchanges can't operate legally without these. We do hate KYC, even I, but today there is nothing we can do about it or just stick with the idea of using decentralized exchange.
5307  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Price Rises to $20-$50k After Halving...Thoughts? on: December 11, 2019, 06:17:05 PM
What are your thoughts on Lightning Capital Hedge Fund Manager, Charles Hwang, predicting BTC price will rise between $20-$50k...

Up to you to buy that prediction or not. As for me, it's just another predictions and speculations we see every day.

Technically, halving will not literally lift up the price but it will give "positive expectations" that will create a positive hype that might result in creating more demands. The process will take some time.

That's why prior to expected halving, expect that those enthusiasts will try to accumulate coins as they can like what they did during 2016 since they already have a glimpse of what to expect years after that 2020 halving.

$20,000, $30,000, $50,000 - doesn't matter if it will be achieved or not after halving as long as we will have a healthy price movement. After all, I just want to stick my speculation on a realistic numbers and achievable figures.

~snipped~

Easy bro. Hold your horses.

Anyways, bago pa humaba tong rant mo, GCASH cashout is now working! Try na mga bro. No more speculations, no more question, no more finding an alternatives.
5310  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: automated Crypto Trading - Results 7% profit after 1 month on: December 10, 2019, 11:43:17 PM
~snipped~

It's not because of the bot. It's just that it follows the algorithm you have set or follow and the wind goes to the way you want. As you said, you did some tests.

7% profit a month is really achievable. It's a good start but it doesn't mean it will be always like that. Bots are not meant to predict things. We all know that crypto is volatile so good luck dealing with that.

Anyways, I hope you will have a good run and as much as possible, stick with your purpose of only posting your results here, no selling nor advertisement in this section.
5311  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 NBA Season on: December 10, 2019, 11:00:43 PM
Anyway, I hope I'm wrong, but I think this is gonna be an easy path for the Bucks in the East towards the NBA Finals.

I might disagree with that "easy" path.

That was the same expectation last year for a much dominant team in the East like Bucks, Raptors, and Celtics but in the end, the unexpected Raptors owned the Eastern Conference and even got a hand on the Larry O' Brien trophy.

Compare to last season, we can see a much better competition in the East today. Even how currently good the Bucks' record today, once playoffs came, they will start at 0-0 and that's where the real challenge will begin.

5313  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Need a piece of advice form experienced traders on: December 10, 2019, 09:04:56 PM
Are you guys looking for the best rates in the market when deciding to buy/sell Bitcoin or you're bond with the certain exchanges where you have an account?

Instead of getting good results by looking for the best rates, it might destroy your whole funds in the process.

It's not that arbitrage isn't a good method after all but for that to be effective, it needs lots of things to consider. It's not advisable for beginners.

Before we go technical here, what's your goal? We might have a good suggestion instead of playing around with the arbitrage method.
5314  Local / Pamilihan / Re: Coins.ph Official Thread on: December 10, 2019, 08:36:32 PM
Pwede ba yun paymaya to Gcash?

Coins.ph>Withdraw>Bank>Paymaya

Paymaya>Bank Transfer>G-exchange

Instant yan kasi powered din ni Instapay. Check niyo rin baka kasali BDO and BPI.

About sa error, always check lang from time to time. Di rin ako maka-login as of now, 4:30AM due to System Maintenance.

Working na 6:30am.

May dalawang klase pala silang card, Visa at Mastercard.

I ordered Mastercard pandagdag sa alternatives for instant cashout..

I will update pag nakuha ko na.

5315  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: A good advice for every traders. on: December 10, 2019, 08:06:24 AM

I'm expecting to read a bit of repetitive advice here such as risk an amount you afford to lose, patience, don't put all eggs in one basket , etc. but those mentioned by the OP are by far do have sense compare to other threads created before which just stated obvious and common advice.

Yes, looking at our past performance where did we go wrong can create an effective strategy in the long-run. By looking at those, we can think of a strategy to somehow avoid it next time. Not totally will avoid it but we can deal with it without any major problem.

Every mistake and error should be noted and once we are now used on dealing with those, we can now think of an effective strategy for each of those problems we encounter along the way.

The crypto market is so volatile and there will be a time that what we think as an effective strategy still will not work. That's why it's good to have a set of strategy at any given mistakes we did.
5316  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you consider gambling to be a "fun activity"? on: December 10, 2019, 04:30:22 AM
I'd love to see one of those posters explain to me, rationally, how exactly they perceive it to be fun? Please try to explain yourself rationally (with broken English if necessary).

You can't find a person here that will only gamble their money for fun*. The majority of people here want to make a good return from doing gambling even they will say they gamble for fun. Believed me, most gamblers here (or just posting here they do gamble) wants something good in return.

Remember that majority of people here are posting with purpose so I doubt the one you are searching will have a time lurking here.

Try to ask your concern by visiting physical casinos and you can meet different gamblers there. You might catch someone there that will explain to you briefly their motives behind that "gambling for fun". It's way more better to ask people there since the fact that they are spending time playing at casinos means they are really a gambling enthusiast.*
5317  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 NBA Season on: December 10, 2019, 01:09:31 AM
It is way low for a weak Orlando Magic.
Bucks are really hot by now and this is not one of the team which they want to lose.

Might be another reason is Orlando Magic was 5/6 in their last games? Hmm, I think odds providers shouldn't consider that even Magic is on momentum. They are massacred (lol) to Bucks on their first meeting playing at their own home arena so what's more to expect later.

Anyways, don't know what's the catch but honestly even for a much weaker team like Golden State Warriors, I have never seen yet an over +15 for them against any teams, dominant or not, or maybe I just missed those. Correct me if I'm wrong here.
5318  Local / Pamilihan / Re: Coins.ph Official Thread on: December 10, 2019, 12:15:44 AM

Been discussed before.

Yep much better. Pero di lahat ng bank is may Instapay feature so check niyo muna. Either way, good rin naman overall.

Hehe gamitin mo muna fiat mo bro, 7-11 muna via Cliqq.

Or coins.ph>Paymaya>Gcash. Sayang ang Gscore rating. Cheesy

Always working naman ang Gcash. Iyong coins.ph to Gcash lang talaga ang may problema minsan. Kung not working man yan, gawa na lang ng way para makarating sa Gcash iyong funds if ever Gcash Card lang ang mayroon tayo.

Medyo tumatagal nga ngayon tong problema sa coins.ph to Gcash ah. Hmmm..
5319  Economy / Economics / Re: How many bitcoin is enough? on: December 09, 2019, 11:52:39 PM
...which I have no idea why or how anyone came up with that number.

Other guys tell people having 1 bitcoin will be 'enough' in the future, and how long into the future, I do not know.

Everyone has their own speculation and prediction about "bitcoin's future" so the numbers and figures are a product of their own analyzation.

Up to you on making on your own or opt to follow them.

I recently saw people saying online that 1 bitcoin is not attainable for most people, and they should aim for 0.1 bitcoin, and that sounded crazy to me.

We are living in different standards so buying BTC1 is obviously difficult for others to do. Even purchasing BTC0.1 is quite expensive for others. I don't understand why such concern should be raised.

To make this short, generally, if you really believed that bitcoin has a future, whether via your own instinct or have a valid basis, you should just accumulate BTC whatever you can.
5320  Economy / Speculation / Re: Crypto Atm on: December 09, 2019, 11:28:17 PM
Crypto currency is known to be a digital currency, a lot of us have suggested that there should be a crypto ATM to ease and hasten the use and general acceptability crypto. But if there be an ATM would it not make it Fiat again and would it still maintain the digital currency value?

It's like the usual withdrawing and converting our crypto to fiat in exchange. It's much easier though with the use of ATM*.

Anyways, I  will try to share with you some info about using crypto ATM to somehow give you some insights in actual...but not today.

I started a thread here before asking some possible ways to withdraw BTC in SG. The plan was postponed and was moved to March 2020. Looking for crypto-related stuff was included in my itinerary. Smiley
