5301  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Will Still Rally, Driven by Libra Demand and Monetary Policy Easing on: June 28, 2019, 06:10:02 AM
Bitcoin prices are still interesting to observe. This crypto currency continued to be relied upon and had penetrated US $ 13,700. This is the highest level in the last 17 months. However, at this time bitcoin prices are trading again at around US $ 12,600, down shortly after the Coinbase crypto currency site reportedly crashed.
The value of this digital currency has risen by more than 60% this month, and more than 230% every year to date. Bitcoin euphoria, lower prestige, other digital currencies, such as ethereum, which became the second largest crypto currency after bitcoin. According to Coindesk data, the price of Ethereum only rose 150% so far this year.
The soaring price of bitcoin was also driven by Facebook launching its own crypto currency called Libra. Analysts are optimistic that Libra can help the market to get a better position in the community, as a means of payment and investment.

Libra is the future bitcoin's greatest competitor. It might help for raising awareness about the crypto industry and making it more popular across all the people that haven't heard about it,but this is a short term impact and it will die pretty fast.I don't think that the Libra demand will lead to a increasing bitcoin price.

5304  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin in 2019: Are we still libertarians, cypherpunks, and crypto-anarchists? on: June 12, 2019, 12:15:39 PM
In 2009, much of the cryptocurrency community was composed of libertarians, cypherpunks, and crypto-anarchists. They tended to be anti-authoritarian and distrustful of existing financial, economic, and political institutions. It's very likely that Satoshi Nakamoto himself had such beliefs.

It's been 10 years since and a lot has changed in the meantime. Now we live in a world where everyone recognizes the word "Bitcoin". In fact, the phrase "buy bitcoin" was one of the most searched terms of 2017.

In light of such developments, do you think this is still the case today? Are we still a group of anti-establishment hacker types like Hal Finney and Nick Szabo who can trace their roots to the original cypherpunk communities of the 80s and 90s? Or has the inclusion of other groups such as social democrats, neoliberals, conservatives, and the alt-right diluted the original intentions behind Bitcoin?

In other words, did we lose our ideology by going mainstream?

In 2009,the crypto community was consisted of 100% nerds and tech geeks, who are interested in crytpography, not libertarians or anarchists.
In 2019,the crypto community is just 1% idealists and 99% greedy people waiting for the price to do up.
5305  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BTC ATM in London Goes Crazy... on: June 12, 2019, 12:13:05 PM
Any see about the London BTC ATM that was pumping out £20 this morning? Does anyone know if it was faulty and someone got lucky or if they were just filling their bags cause they know something we don't?  Grin Grin

https://www.businessinsider.com/bitcoin-atm-spits-cash-london-bond-street-station-video-2019-6?r=US&IR=T

British people are always lucky. Can't anyone just fix this ATM?The owner must find out about this.
There must be some sort of tracking software that tracks all the transactions executed by the ATM.

5307  Economy / Economics / Re: The Blockchain technologies on: June 12, 2019, 06:06:02 AM

The Blockchain invention already has resulted in so many technology trends including hybrid blockchains, ricardian contracts, stable coins, security tokens and so on. What other inventions regarding blockchain do you think we might see in he next couple of years? What other industries could this system improve?

Stable coins? You don't need a blockchain to create a stable coin.
I really hope that the blockchain will improve the healthcare industry by storing all the information so it will be more efficient for the hospitals to access it.
5308  Economy / Economics / Re: Cryptocurrencies Pose Risks to Banks, Warns Basel Committee on: June 12, 2019, 06:01:52 AM
How can crypto pose risks to the banks,if they aren't using it?
The bank clients might be using crypto at their own risk, but that doesn't increase the risk for the banks at all.
Totally blank statement. Angry
5309  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The Finality Design of Blockchain Consensus Mechanism on: June 12, 2019, 05:47:23 AM
I think that this topic belongs to Development&Technical discussion.
It was a chore to read this long text and I still don't get it.
It would be great if you make a video to explain this topic.
5310  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 2019 - the year of crypto? on: June 12, 2019, 05:44:42 AM
Many says that 2019 is the year of crypto and I'm agree with them. During this year so many countries implemented it into its structure, so many universities started to provide courses with crypto education and so many giants started using it showing how it possible to simplify the work. I think we are facing a new revolution , hope it won't work against us

So many countries, universities, giants? Can you mention a few to back up your statement?
I don't know about such mass adoption of crypto.
Every year is the year of crypto, not just 2019,or the years before 2019. Grin

You would see in common these bots provide "features" but not "strategies", I would rather prefer an ugly looking bot but it focus is on strategies, and the developer himself show his own real experience of playing with his bot (profit/loss) stategies. And each release of new version should be on how effective it is, i.e: version 1.0 lost 1.0BTC in 1 month 24/7 betting, version 2.0 lost 1.0BTC in 2 months, version 3.0 did not lose in 3 months, version 4.0 profit 10% in one month. Once you found this kind of bot, it is the real working one you are looking for.

So you have to lose a shitload of bitcoin just to test and find out which bot is working? This is funny. Grin
After all, this is just gambling. You can't make a steady income with Dice sites even with the most advanced bot ever made.
5312  Economy / Economics / Re: Does engaging with bitcoins put you at risk? on: June 11, 2019, 05:31:33 PM
We, as physically and intellectually healthy individuals, strive and survive to achieve our dreams, establish our roles in the society and fulfill our needs and wants. But in order to do this, we are also required to be financially healthy. The lingering fact is that money is not achievable as a single candy you can buy in the store. Sometimes, people risk their lives and reputation just to get a handful. Bitcoins are not officially a currency that you can just see in a certain country, that are being utilized and used. So, is dealing with bitcoins and other things related to it also puts us in a risky gamble?

Who is risking his life just to get a handful of money? ;DThis is a ridiculous statement,if you ask me.
I've never been hurt for using bitcoins so far.I don't know what will happen in the future. There's always a risk involved, even when you use fiat money.
5313  Economy / Economics / Re: Problems In Chinas Economy & Escalating Trade War Will Cause Large Bitcoin Rally on: June 11, 2019, 05:28:47 PM
Since the last 5 years, there are many rumors that the China economy is about to crash, that it's a giant bubble and the big government debt will cause a financial disaster in China.Nothing of these predictions ever happened.I don't think that a collapse in China will boost the bitcoin price, because China isn't that important for btc.
5314  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Nicehash founder charged with fraud and racketeering arrest warrants 50 yrs jail on: June 11, 2019, 05:10:33 PM
This is the Nicehash statement posted on their site:

NiceHash statement regarding latest allegations
2019-06-11
Ljubljana, June 11, 2019 - In the past few days, the news regarding Matjaz Skorjanc, NiceHash co-founder, has emerged on the web. The main reason is that the US Federal Court in Washington has unsealed an indictment against Matjaz Skorjanc. Although this procedure is not related to NiceHash operations, we want to give an official statement to address this situation and clarify some misinformation.

A US Federal Court in Washington has unsealed an indictment identical to the case from the past (several years ago) for which Matjaz Skorjanc has already served the sentence in full.

The current indictment against Matjaz Skorjanc is not related to NiceHash operations. NiceHash will continue to operate normally and the service is working without any issues.

All Nicehash users should be safe,I guess.
5315  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Fraud-Fighting ‘Watchtowers’ to Arrive in Next Bitcoin Lightning Release on: June 11, 2019, 05:04:18 PM
This seems to be a good move but the problem is that they are solving a problem that does not exist yet. Most part of Bitcoin users never had a deal with LN. It is not even implemented anywhere (considering that we need LN for "offline" payments).
So in this case I guess that no one really cares about the security of their money on the system they don't use.

LN not implemented anywhere??Are you kidding me?
It's true that most bitcoin users never used LN,but with increased adoption of btc, offchain solutions like LN will increase their popularity as well. The "Watchtowers" are a good move for the LN dev team.

The website is very basic(it looks it was made by a newbie designer or with a generic theme) and I don't see a "Join Now!" button as well.I like the concept of creating your own casino and referring other people. This might have a viral effect and your users will do the promotion for you.Good luck and I hope you will remove the minor issues.
5318  Economy / Economics / Re: Does it helpful when blockchain integrated to government system? on: June 11, 2019, 12:20:21 PM
Pretty decent list you have there,OP.
More automation and unification means less human control, and less human control means less corruption and less mistakes.
Many clerks will lose their pointless jobs, when the blockchain gets implemented on a massive scale.
5319  Economy / Economics / Re: Which form of investment has highest ROI? on: June 11, 2019, 12:17:26 PM
We knows that the crypto currency investment can give us lot of profits even in short time but this is very new there are lot of invesments like real estate, gold, mutual funds silent partner in businesses and lot more but what you think which has highest ROI in short term other than crypto invesments.

My opinion is that real estate can be that one, since my grandfather used to be like buying and selling the lands and made tons of money in his life time but I didn't do that such kind of traditional invetment.

Higher risk usually comes with a higher ROI.
The investments with the highest risks are gambling and illegal activities that are forbidden by the laws.
Anyway, building a service based business(like roofing, home repair, plumbing) can have bigger ROI than crypto trading. Those roofers, plumbers, electricians charge A LOT of money for very easy services. Grin
5320  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Apocalyptic Scenario - What happens to Bitcoin? on: June 11, 2019, 12:02:24 PM
What happens to the value of bitcoin in an apocalyptic scenario? Eg, if the world starts getting hit with electromagnetic pulses which knock out power, or let's say the report that came out a few days ago is true, that civilization as we know it deteriorates by 2050 due to mass migration from climate change.

Many claim that bitcoin will be worthless and gold, guns, and ammunition will be very valuable. On the other hand it has been claimed that bitcoin requires very little infrastructure and would work much better than other things. If bitcoin is truly a store of value, then it should store value especially in unfavorable circumstances.

This has been discussed many times before.
If a global apocalypse happens, nobody would care about bitcoin or cryptocurrencies.
There will be a battle for survival, where food, water, simple tools and maybe weapons will have the higher value.
