5301  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum High fees, Opportunity for other blockchains to Come forward on: August 30, 2020, 05:43:08 PM
Let's Remember this is not about competition but working together as crypto
I believe whether etheruem gas is high now or not, it isn't stopping any project from bulling. TRON is a nice project no doubt but they are both unique in nature and so w don't expect a takeover when etheruem 2.0 is uploading.
5302  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I have shared about bitcoin on my class on: August 29, 2020, 09:07:15 PM
Op you have done well in choosing something related to bitcoin for your advert assignment and your teacher has developed interest too which is very nice. The interest is willingly and that is the best way to educate somebody about cryptocurrency and bitcoin.
5303  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Make Money Without Trading or Gambling on: August 29, 2020, 08:48:08 PM
there are many ways in the crypto world to make money without gambling and trade, one example of airdrop and bounty besides that it can mine new and old coins, I have never become the benchmark  gambling and trade to get money because it has a high risk better to choise bounty and airdrop
does not use capital and low risk
Airdrops and bounty probably put us in low danger but the general status of this monetization method is too dependent on luck, we don't know how much money we will make, sometimes wasting time and I feel very depressed for this problem, a lot of times I spend months on a project and end up with a scam, even paying pointless rewards and not being listed. Trading should probably still be arranged in our options, nothing can make as good money as trading, as long as we know how to limit greed and analyze it correctly.

I support @tungaqhd. Trading is far more better than bounty or airdrop. Bounty is mostly scam except you are lucky to get shit distribution of $2 for two months.

If you master a trade pattern, it is better you do trading.

5305  Other / Politics & Society / Re: The execution of Keith Dwayne Nelson on: August 28, 2020, 10:08:52 AM
Thanks for that. Smiley

It's my traditional English background. The use of a surname without a title or Christian name was reserved for Lords, but that seems to have gone by the bye.

Oh... Really.. I was thinking modernity is only visiting the African Society.. Haha.
I guess your good old days huh.  Grin

The other use comes from references by public school boys, who tended to use surnames rather than Christian names. (remember that in England "public" schools are the top private schools, free education is provided by state schools).

Like the youths are surely the leaders of today unlike the previous saying; Leaders of tomorrow  Huh Lol

To refer to your OP
I support capital punishment in cases like this if guilt can be proven without a reasonable doubt.

I support it too when confession is not induced.

5306  Other / Politics & Society / Re: The execution of Nelson on: August 28, 2020, 08:12:53 AM
Please note - this does not refer to Admiral Lord Nelson - the English naval hero. On seeing the title of this thread, that was why I opened it.

Surely buddy, I was about to complete the post before your fast response  Grin

Thanks

Nelson was sentenced to death for the kidnapping, sexual abuse and subsequent killing of a 10-year-old girl he took while she was rollerblading in front of her Kansas home. Nelson confessed to raping the girl and strangling her to death with a wire.

How can an adult rape a minor of 10 and strangle her to death?

Is this not heinous crime against humanity?

What is the point of strangling her with a wire, could she be struggling to attack Nelson or what?
A powerless little baby.

The details here

Do you think the confession is political or real ?
5308  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: I call it digital colonialism on: August 27, 2020, 08:35:15 PM

But how could we avoid this unauthorized downloads and keep our devices free from this digital colonialism.?

I have been searching for what looks like solution ever since I saw the eye opener and that has exhausted my time.

Anyway, I found something that we can read on more to understand what is happening.

So does that mean that everything is fine? Not exactly. If Chinese firms do include backdoors - deliberate secret access points designed for use by phone makers or governments - in their smartphone software, as alleged by Bloomberg and others, then there’s always the potential that the vulnerability will be exploited by a malware author, or that the backdoor will be used for its intended purpose of disrupting communications, silently collecting personal information and so on. Of course, this kind of activity could be perpetrated by dodgy app developers, your non-Chinese smartphone maker or even your local government, so it might be worth following some simple procedures to ensure your data is managed as well as possible.

Firstly, VPN and proxy software like Torcan be used to encrypt your web activity, making it harder (but not impossible) for anyone to find out what sites you’re visiting, what internet searches you’re making and so on. There are also privacy-oriented search engines like DuckDuckGo that pledge not to collect personal data. You can also install apps like MalwareBytes to scan your apps for malware and make sure that nothing untoward is happening under your nose.

Recent versions of Android also alert you when an app tries to access your microphone, camera, phone or storage, so don’t blindly accept these prompts - think about the requests critically and deny the ones that don’t make sense, like a flashlight app needing access to your dialer. Along similar lines, try to exercise good judgment by not installing software by unknown developers, especially those distributed outside of the Google Play marketplace as .APK files.

Reading the news is also good practice. Sites like El Reg and /r/netsec on Redditwill often be the first to report potentially malicious apps or operating system vulnerabilities, so by keeping abreast of the headlines, you’ll be quicker to react to potential problems - and you’ll get a better idea of what you should be looking out for.

And finally, yes - choosing an American or Korean-made phone over a Chinese alternative may make you and your data a little safer. Samsung, Apple and BlackBerry all include relatively advanced security features in their phones and the first two aren’t Chinese companies. There are even distributions of Android that include more privacy features, like CopperheadOS and LineageOS, which can be worth looking into.

5309  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: ETH will touch 10,000$ to 12,000$ at the end of 2020. on: August 27, 2020, 07:47:53 PM
I am analyser of the crypto market and this time BTC will make a great pump but i hope that the ETH will also go so much up this year and soon all the ALT coins will go up in the market.
However that's just a prediction but try to predict a valid thing. It should better explain your analysis here cause for me, your prediction makes no sense. Yeah cryptocurrency market is green, continueously increasing  but not possible to touch 10k$ at the end of 2020 even 2021. I really wonder, how can anyone predict such kind of impossible thing.

The prediction is just out of imagination. This is not possible but we can be looking at $1000 by the end of the year because of the upgrade. Hodlers will wish that prediction to come but it is not possible Grin
5310  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Blockchain is very faithful on: August 27, 2020, 05:00:07 PM
Well, i don't know what we would feel but i think the blockchain space is a faithful one, especially when it comes to bounty hunting. There are jubilant scenes in mtcn group regarding the recent upturn in price of token; with hunters getting reward for a work done since 2018. For some who believed in the project, it was a huge cashout.

It seems despite the gloom and appearance of scam projects, Bounty can be worth it if we join the right project

Blockchain is faithful certain but your analysis about it on bounty hunters is not really the way it is. Since 2018, hunters have been scam and with very low worth of token except for this year as the beginning of light. Blockchain being faithful is in the area of transparency.
5311  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: I call it digital colonialism on: August 27, 2020, 05:57:57 AM

I experience this data loses a lot and even discover some rapid app installation on my device and I'm like,
How did this get here...?
The worst part of it is that, even after deleting it, it keeps coming back after a few days of me being connected to a network. It's a serious problem.
How safe can someone get, if your not in total control of your device..?!

I noticed this in techno Y2. It keeps downloading without your knowledge and you can't trace what was downloaded. Grin

Could that be a factory fault? Lol
5312  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you fear the president of your country, one day, making Crypto illegal ? on: August 26, 2020, 08:08:16 PM
My president doesn't want crypto cos he feels threatened by it and with crypto they won't have control over everything, but I believe with time he will come to embrace it as this lockdown has opened more people to the advantages of cryptocurrency

If a president doesn't want cryptocurrency because he won't have control of people's fund and that of the country, is he a life president? Or won't he leave office? Even a monarch will die and system will continue. Some country president might dislike cryptocurrency just for the protection of the citizens maybe against wrong investment in cryptocurrency and not just because of having control of the state fund.
5313  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The cost of transferring money on the Ethereum network is too high on: August 26, 2020, 07:11:55 PM
Lesser people will continue to use ethereum but majority will opt for other altcoins because of this ridiculous high gas fee, I hope this will be fixed with the next 2.0 ETH upgrade, it's really hard to trade with ethereum on exchanges now, to withdraw I always have to use other options like Litecoin or dogecoin

I think those coins too are good option and I won't be surprise if they start making an increase. However, the etheruem gas fee will also come back to normal maybe as the upgrade is on.
5314  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: I call it digital colonialism on: August 26, 2020, 03:01:40 PM
So, did it mention what brands of smartphones has been into this activities with china?

You may need to visit the websites via the link provided above to understand more.
5315  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: I call it digital colonialism on: August 26, 2020, 02:23:03 PM

But what can be done to prevent this, since mobile phones are now an integral part of our existence? I guess this is also applicable with laptops.

I looked for the solution too. But from the link, I saw this which I can logically assume to be a part of the solution

Quote
When Mxolosi saw a Tecno W2 smartphone in a store in Johannesburg, South Africa, he was attracted to its looks and functionality. But what really drew him in was the price, roughly $30 — far less than comparable models from Samsung, Nokia, or Huawei, Africa’s other top brands.

“They’re very attractive and appealing to your eyes,” Mxolosi, who asked for his last name not to be used to protect his personal safety, told BuzzFeed News. “Honestly, I was a Samsung fan but I said, ‘Let me try this new product.’”

I think we can all see the obvious fall in price of technological products especially phones and computer accessories. I'm not saying fall in price isn't good but so we can also see maybe the other side of it.
5316  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: I call it digital colonialism on: August 26, 2020, 10:08:55 AM
Hopefully sooner or later people will start becoming more conscious about security and privacy against China.

That is the real point. You are informed already but many here are not, the reason for the consciousness to increase. There are high charges lately in every human society, high tax rate plus vat, transport, food and shelter etc. We just know that only God gives breath and life freely.
5317  Other / Beginners & Help / I call it digital colonialism on: August 26, 2020, 09:53:00 AM
Do you know why your data keep going down surprisingly? Surprisingly because it overwhelmes you when you rely on the data you have left but opening your phone to see a huge margin in difference to the data you think you have left. Have you witnessed it? This is the reason below,

It is simply because there are secret installation (malfare).

Quote
"You have all these wonderful features for cheap, but there is a hidden cost,” he told BuzzFeed News. “There are a lot of Chinese phones that have malware installed on it.”

Quote
Mxolosi’s Tecno W2 was infected with xHelper and Triada, malware that secretly downloaded apps and attempted to subscribe him to paid services without his knowledge.
They are installed on your phones especially phones from China that comes cheap in your eyes lol , but you pay from the other side  Grin through unsolicited data consumption.

Quote
Typically, malware like Triada and xHelper requires someone to be tricked into installing it on their phones, rather than it coming straight from the factory. It’s often used to deliver invasive ads that send money back to whoever controls the malware. But it can also be used to install apps that subscribe the victim to paid services via monthly billing or prepaid data — siphoning cash directly from the phone’s owner.

And this happens to any user of the phone despite your country because the word colonization wrongly gets people to focus on third world countries, no. This is digital colonialism.

I find this helpful and you can read

5318  Economy / Services / Re: [Service] Bounty Manager, Avatar/Signature,Translator - English to Indonesia on: August 26, 2020, 08:10:13 AM
I have worked with this manager in different bounties and got my rewards as at when due. He is considerate , kind and committed to delivery rewards.

He can deliver your bounty adverts because he has abundant of expertise. He is tested and trusted.

Best regards
5319  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Is African continent a cursed land? on: August 25, 2020, 09:06:21 PM

But that's the way it always is. Even in the so-called developed societies, just look around. You can find Americans and Europeans who are dying from hunger and lack of proper medicine all over the place. They are being preyed upon by other Americans and Europeans, and even people from other countries.

Yes you have a good idea on this and
I want to take an exceptional view on this thread.

Anyway, I want to tie my response to ops titling of this thread as derogatory to Africans. Africans have produced so many great men and women, astute and well respected world leaders., poets alike example, Wole Soyinka and other Noble prizes awards. In medicine, Africans have been a huge export in support to humanity.

Africans are not bereaved of ideas that is to say. the challenge has been colonization, corruption and lack of structure/political will to mealt down punishment to persons in high places.

I read someone writing that natural disaster and location of Africa is the challenge but I don't succumb to that; location or where Africa is situated is not the challenge rather it is a blessing because raw material for production is found in commercial quantity in Africa.

Africa is a great continent. It will get there. America had independence in 1776 we need to know that. Bridges are not built in a day. We are still in the process. We are going to get there.

We all remember Martin Luthera quote ?

Keep hope alive for Africa.
5320  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Scam victims on: August 25, 2020, 04:41:55 PM
It always hurt when see people get scam of his Cryptocurrency what ever coin he is using, this is one of the risk of decentralization you cannot charge back, transactions are based on trusts, but we need to educate ourselves and do not trust easily there are a lot of benefits of decentralization than become a slave of centralization, this is a learning experienced for OP and for us who are reading this.

Inexperience is what activates trust. Is not a good thing to be involved in scam on your coin, this is unfortunate. Most of us have experienced a thing as such because we were inexperienced. Lesson is to avoid what looks too good being true.
